Mr. Crotts is very cool, and uses a lot of you tube videos to explain concepts. His quizzes he admits he purposely tricks you, and assignments are very, very detailed. You will lose a letter grade in your assignments for not highlighting something for example. Good class though, watch out for the extreme details when doing assignments

Crotts really knows his stuff-- at the time of my class, he was an editor at the AJC and nearly always showed up in a great mood, ready to teach. If you follow instructions down to the T you WILL get a perfect grade on all the projects. Word of advice from this former student, though: study your you-know-what off for the exams; they're difficult!

I absolutely loved taking Visual Comm with Crotts! His lectures were super fun and interesting and i honestly enjoyed going to class. Clear grading criteria. 5 tests. 2 quizzes. 1 final. He works for the AJC so uses real scenarios. DO NOT SKIP CLASS OR USE YOUR PHONE!!! Tests are super easy as long as you pay attention to lectures and read the book

Crotts is knowledgable and fair. His lectures contain the requisite information for you to learn material and pass successfully. However, he does tend to use the class as somewhat of a political soapbox. He doesn't comment on elected officials, but he incorporates a lot of controversial subjects into his lectures. Not what I took it for.

This was my favorite class by far this semester. He makes his lectures interesting so having him for an 8am wasn't THAT terrible. He doesn't waste your time with pointless assignments. 5 tests and 2 quizzes (which are open note). Also, he never kept my class the full time. Despite having my doubts about him early on, I learned a lot. He was great!

Rick Crotts tries his best to get the information to you in lectures but his classes are a waste of time. He is a PowerPoint professor who often plays irrelevant videos and fills class time jerkin off the AJC (his full time job btw). Cool guy thatd I drink a beer with but if you are trying to get something out of the class, good luck!

Like most awful Proffesors, Crotts requires attendance b/c he knows no one would ever voluntary show up to one of his lectures at 8 AM.
