This professor keeps your attention throughout the lecture...he gives you his lecture notes so all you need to do is watch him draw diagrams and flow charts that are really helpful...his exam questions are very clear...you either know it or you don't..no trick questions..a lot of information but this professor keeps it very structured and organized

Professor Wong is really kind-hearted, but many times, I feel like his lecture lacks clarity, but most of the students don't seem to care to ask for clarification so everyone's content. Sometimes, I do question the validity of some of the things he says just because I have taken many biology related courses and the information conflicts.

Professor Wong takes time to illustrate mechanisms and organ systems with color-coded drawings which I found very helpful. I only used the textbook a few times. You need to memorize his lecture syllabus--exams are based on it. I felt he explained the information well and was patient with our questions. No dissections in his Bio 20. Study everyday!!

Micro has become one of my favorite subjects thx to Prof. Wong; he's even better than most of the science professors I have taken at the University, so that's saying a lot! I didn't use the textbook & mainly used his course workbook which outlines everything about the course. Attend class, work hard & you'll get an 'A'. Most highly recommend!!!

I'm currently taking introductory Bio w/ Prof. Wong and I must say he is truly one of the best instructors I've ever had. He is a brilliant man who knows how to impart his knowledge to his students. I had no interest in Bio prior to his class and so far I'm loving it. His lab quizzes and exams are moderately easy if you study the course syllabus

Tough, tough, tough teacher, but there could not be another teacher who teaches better than him. His lectures are clear, his lecture and lab syllabus is all you need, and he teaches you effective ways of studying. ASK questions he will be more than happy to help,He is very patient. Wong simplified A/P and taloried it towards nursing. Very tough subject. 4Lec test, 5lab test, lab/lec final. no extra credit. no book to buy, but sells lecture/lab notes for 20ea. 112 students enrolled, half the class dropped. be on top of your game, drink lots of coffee. wong's last year teaching, try adding him in fall. form study groups

I took 2 class: anatomy and Mic with him and I got A at both. Good thing:it is rather easy class, if u read it is very easy to get A,he giveslots of extra credit especially at mic ( around 200credit) ,he is very nice man and I extrongly recommend him. bad thing:at anatomy lab he did not teach us any thing and you should learn by yourself.

I am in love with Mr. Wong teaching style! He's amazing. His lectures are very clear and he draws beautiful drawings for your notes. He's very sweet and will help you in anyway he can. You don't need to buy a book just buy the syllabus he makes and study off that and refer back to your notes (drawings) because all his exams are based on that only!

Took him for micro 20. Draws on the board a lot, gives decent amount of extra credit not too crazy. Test are hard but is not his fault the subject is not easy. Dont have to buy the book he makes his own syllabus and tests come right out of the syllabus. Overall GREAT teacher

I hated bio and failed if twice before at another campus. I took this over the summer and passed with a B. He will explain. He only test on what he teaches. Show up have your color pens and pencils. Write and study everything he writes on the board and you will pass. HES AMAZING

The best biology professor I have ever had!! I disliked biology in HS, but after taking his course, I have fallen in love with the subject. He is great at explain and his drawing are fantastic! His lectures are unforgettable. I am now taking an upper level biology and use his lectures notes as an aid. If I go retake the class, I would!

Take him! One of the best professors I have ever taken. His lectures are easy to understand, his attitude towards students is amazing. If you have any questions he will answer. Definitely recommend him, if you study you should pass with an A. His tests are also very solid and from his notes he even helps by providing his study guide with answers.

This professor is by far the best science teacher you could have. His tests are based on the lectures and his notes which are printed. He is always consistent with grading and will answer any questions you may have about the lab, homework or class assignments. He offers extra credit and drops your lowest test score. I have a Human Biology degree from UC San Diego, and now taking his Micro class to prep me for MCAT. His lectures are amazing, covering all important material for premed & prenursing students. I tried taking this class before with other instructors, but I ended up dropping. Mr. Wong makes this class fun to learn, and all his test questions come from his syllabus. Very easy class! Go to class, take good notes & study for tests. Tests are not hard but you do have to study.

There were several exams and final. He would be approachable but the exams are very detailed. You have to memorize the handout. Extra credits available and lab report will be helpful. Part of the problem is that there are many collaborate lab work and some students weren't helpful.

He is a good teacher, not a fan of how quick he goes from us taking a test to taking a quiz, wish it was more of a space in that area. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT HE GIVES & take notes!!! I thought I was going to fail because I don't do well on quizzes and test, I kept getting a D and low C but I did all the assignments and extra credit and passed (whew)

Micro 1 is not easy but Mr Wong is so organized, the material becomes easier to learn. Pay attention in class, take notes, and do the practice exams, you can pass this class too. Love professor Wong took in the spring when classes moved online due to covid. He kept us informed the whole way. Once the class was converted it was the same format the only thing missing was his voice. He provided the information and we used our manual dont need text book. Will be taking him for other classes he really cares about his students

The greatest teacher Ive ever had. Grants extensions cause he understands life happens. His PowerPoints, his lecture material is very clear. The material he gives is exactly what you see on exams. Ricky Wong is the best Professor ever, his lectures are clear and easy to understand. Be ready to read and study and you're done. Lab assignments are helpful, watching the videos are important.

He's great, lectures are written under modules and are well organized. If you're gonna prepare for a test, study all the lectures under the special module. I suggest watching youtube videos afterward if you're still having trouble understanding them on your own. Study lots! You can always ask him for help. He responds within a day. Extra credit.

Took him Fall 2020 and i seriously couldn't have asked for a better Microbiology professor! He gives good advice and if you're struggling he will take his time to help you! The only reason i got a C is because i didnt do so well on the exams, but with his help i ended up passing.

If you need to take Micro, take it with Professor Wong. It's an easy A but you have to try. He organizes the class with these amazing organized lectures. Test come straight from lecture, you won't need the book. Although the test are not proctored he does not allow a lot of time. Know your information and you can pass. He is literally the best!!!!!

Professor Wong is one of the best science teachers at LATTC! His class consists of 23 lectures (divided into 4 lecture exams), 19 labs (divided into 2 lab quizzes) and the final is NOT cumulative. His class is incredibly organized, the lectures and labs are easy to follow and understand. The max you do as a student is read, study and repeat.

I was lucky to be in his Micro 20 class last fall. I heard he is no longer teaching there. The class was online but he posted all lectures and labs on Canvas, everything was clear. Exams were not easy but the questions were from the material he posted, no trick questions. Very approachable if you have questions or problems. Best professor ever!

No need to buy textbooks because the professor provides you all the material in his own lecture format which were easy to follow. You have a chapter and a corresponding lab every week. Study the material because it is what is asked on the exams. Has optional weekly discussions which I recommend so you can understand what you may need to study more.

Prof Wong is no longer teaching at TradeTech, but I found him in Southwest College. I'm taking Micro 001 with him. He has wonderful lecture notes posted on Canvas and answers all questions promptly. His exams are fair, no tricky questions. Recommend him to anyone going onto nursing or transferring. Very respectful and caring to students.
