Professor Gulshan is great. Very clear with what she expects in her class. She does a good job of working with you, and is very understanding. I took her for English 111 & 112 and will be taking her again.

Prof. Gulshan is the best professor I have ever had. She enjoys mythology and loves to involve the class with her lectures. You have to read the material and understand it perfectly so you can do well in her tests. I got all A's in my tests and final. engage her in class! She gives group projects instead of quizzes and she is hilarious. Love her

Dr. Gulshan is very nice, and usually very understanding and easy to work with. She can be a little intimidating because she talks big but its actually very easy to get an A. She makes it seem as though she has very strict grading guidelines but she will give anyone an A. You can do well with just the bare minimum.

I loved Dr. Gulshan! She is so nice and makes the class seem strict but in reality she is a pretty easy grader. We had two essays and one research paper which she helps you write. The group presentation was scary but try your best and she will definitely recognize it. The 2-3 quizzes can be hard since they are write in answers so do the reading.

I took her 8 week class during summer, and she adjusted the syllabus to follow our pace. Her lectures are very engaging, she cares about effort and will help you as much as she can. :)

Professor Gulshan has a light-hearted spirit that I enjoyed, but I also respected her low tolerance for side conversations. Do not expect to be able to chat while she's lecturing, eat in class, or get away with using your phone. However, she very much cares about her students and is passionate about literature. Read, and you should not have issues.

Professor Gulshan is good if you want to improve in writing. She does assign group projects and makes us present it to the class. That being said you need partners who will contribute, she will give the whole group a zero if a partner does not do anything. If you don't read the short stories that she assigns, she will give a pop quiz to the class.

Professor Gulshan is a really goof english teacher. She gives like 2 essays throughout the Semester. One Final Research Paper that she works with you for bout a month and then a Group Project super easy. Her class is really slack but you have stay on top of the deadlines.

Attendance is mandatory. She comes off super strict at the beginning of the semester but she is secretly a sweet heart. Be respectful and you'll find the class is great! There were three essays, one was start and finished in class as an exam. One group project. She is super accessible in her office and if you follow her notes you can get an A ez.

Prof G is amazing! This class was supposed to be in person but was switched to online becauz of the covid. She was super flexibile and wanted to make sure we all met our personal goals and got good grades to finish the class well. Even added extra credit and was ALWAYS on time with emails. Professor gulshan seemed really intimidating at first. Shes strict with her rules and doesnt allow any late work. The work load is reasonable and we had 2 timed essays including a final research paper and a webinar. shes not a strict grader in my opinion as long as your writing is decent. I recommend her if you know how to write.

Okay Professor. She had a diagnostic timed in the begging not counted as a grade. 1 quizzes on textbook also 1 on syllabus. 3 discussion boards, 1 draft and final essay, 1 final research paper, 1 webinar. I had her in the fall of 2022 hybrid class. She is an amazing professor, gives extra credit, attendance is mandatory, and assigns a light load of assignments. A little tough grader, and does not accept let work. Try to understand the assignment and ensure you completed it correctly before submitting it. No final exam just a research paper.

Best prof ever. Made sure we all succeed no matter what our goals. If you told her your goal, she'd make it happen. Super easy going and flexible, fun discussions, basically no homework, no pop quizzes or random assignments. No exams, a life saver doing finals week!!!! My fave prof at NOVVA

So much extra credit, prof really wants everyone to succeed. Lots of the materials are free so you don't have to pay for books. Super duper easy grader, like you'd have to really turn in something bad for her to cut points off. She talks bout pop culture alot like we had a whole discussion on White Lotus, Euphoria, The Weeknd...she knows her stuff.

Dr. Gulshan is very funny and uses real life situations to explain things. She was very understanding when I was absent due to a family death. There is a lot of reading but the book is a lot better than I expected. Just make sure to keep up with the work, there isn't a lot but it has a big impact on grade. I definitely recommend this class!

She is absolutely a tough grader, especially on the bigger papers, but she was overall a good teacher. Some homework here and there could help you if you didn't understand the assignment. Don't expect class to end early in the later half of the semester though.

Low stress, easy A course! All we had were 2 essay's, and a webinar to do, gives plenty of extra credit too. With that being said, her classes are set-up as dull Q&A's and rarely ends class early. She grades on technicality (proper MLA) so don't expect valuable feedback on the content of your work. Overall, I'd take her again for the low stress.

The class is set up to get an easy A. The workload is light and time flexible. My concern is I feel like I didn't learn much. I will have to write research papers for my major, and this class didn't give me the needed practice to prep for research papers. Be mindful of her passive-aggressive and strict tendencies and you will be fine.
