The student is expected to read, write, do homework, take test and be involved in class discussions.

Rio is fun, energetic, she is helpful, she has class participation, which keeps me awake, and she plays really good music when we are in lab

Right now, Rio waller is doing an excellend job. She isn't too hard on us, yet she still wants an answer out of us. Something that says we're paying attention. I think she is awesome, very funny, but she still knows when she needs to get serious and dow to business.

She's really helpful, if you don't get something she wont continue the lecture until she is sure that everyone is understanding how things are done.

It's been so nice going to class and having an instructor that truly loves what she is teaching, and makes every effort to help you get it. All instructors should watch and learn from her. I only wish she taught Algebra.

I have to say I enjoyed this class. Rio made the not so interesting subject of computers fun. Very well taught! All of the tools to get a good grade in the class were given to everyone. If you don't know anything about computers and would like to get a better understanding, take this class.

Rio displayed a real desire to be teaching and had a broad depth of knowledge regarding computers. She has a pashion for to help students both learn and appreciate the affect computers have on our world and with our every day lives. She was very helpful, open and fair.

Rio made something (what i thought) was boring into something very interesting. She opened my eyes to the subject more then ever and never made things boring, which i think makes a big difference in teaching. She has a passion for what she teaches making her lectures more interesting than time consuming.

Rio is an excellent teacher! She makes the class fun and funny everyday. She's always making jokes. Theres is alot of work to get done, but she always lets you know of the assignments weeks ahead. She knows what shes talking about. I would recommend her to everyone!

OMG... Rio is the best teacher ever!!! You guys will love her. It's my first year in college and her class was the first one. There is no books, it costs you nothing. Rio Waller is such a good teacher. She used screencasts as well as lectures, open source websites and programs, Discussion boards, and Projects boards to conduct the class. If you need any help she is quick to answer. She also provided a "points bank" where students can accumulate extra credit if they need it. She is one of the great teachers.

This was my first online course that I have taken, and I love online, Ms. Rio makes the class entertaining and fun. If you work ahead of schedule you are rewarded for it. She is not an easy teacher by all means but she is fair. We truly need more teachers like Ms. Rio. Everyone should take her class!!!!!!!!

Great class and wonderful instructor. I took this class online during the summer(6 weeks) and thought is was easy. I believe it was easier because Rio Waller is a fabulous instructor. She is caring and easy to work with. She replies to students quickly and has a passion for what she teaches. You need to put in the time and do the work.

This class was my funnest class. Rio is a great teacher &its NOT that hard to get a good grade in the class. Attending days of lecture is IMPORTANT, if you want to know whats going on in the class (which you do). This class is very straight forward and easy for the most part there is just a lot of work to be done, especially in the online Summer class. Not sure how the pace is in normal semester classes but I had at least an hour and a half of work every day. Overall very easy and the teacher is extremely helpful/clarifying.

Very easy online course. The assignments are routine so you won't be blindsided with any surprise assignments. None of the assignments are too lengthy, everything explained in the instructions as well as instructional videos for people who are visual learners. She's encouraging, cheesy, and overall a great professor. I would highly recommend.

CIT 15 was a great course online. Very clear on what was expected, routine assignments, easy chapter quizzes, helps you whenever needed, cares about her students, very fun professor! With only a week left, I was able to submit everything late, do all of the extra credit to gain back my points, and came out of the class with an A. My advice: DO NOT DO THIS. This professor was and is by far one of the best ive had since highschool. She is very orginized and takes time to help. she is quick to grade. awesome lectures. always kept my attention. im very happy to have had her as my professor for this class.

Rio explains things very well and grades assignments almost instantly. She gives countless opportunities to make up assignments and earn more points, there's really no reason to not pass this class. I will say that it is fairly challenging on a MAC though!

Great instructor! Lectures are interesting and Rio is really approachable. There are a lot of assignments but there is an opportunity to submit work late for credit if you cannot finish on time. Although, you will need to complete an extra assignment or task to get full credit. She gives great advice and I was actually able to save money!

Great teacher!! Lays out a very clear path for all students to pass her class with a good grade. Accept late work but you must do extra assignments to make up the point difference. Is very accessible should you need help. Everything she teaches in online so if you can't make class you still have all the instructions you need for assignments.

She is amazing! She lays everything out for you to succeed. None of it really takes a lot of time so long you manage your time correctly. Assignments were due on Mondays and Thursdays which helped schedule my other class loads! Though it is easy I have learned a lot from her and I am glad I took the class.

Professor Waller is an amazing instructor! Took her CIT 15 course this semester online and I enjoyed it. Great instructor. Very friendly and is there to help you. She is straight to the point and doesn't sugar coat things. It is a lot of work but as long as you keep up with it you will pass. Recommend going to class even though it's not mandatory, just to make sure you are keeping up with the assignments. Doesn't offer extra credit.

My favorite online teacher yet! Very cool and laid back. Rio offers so many resources with great content. She offers many chances to make up work to get a better grade. There should really be no reason to fail this class. I really did not expect to enjoy this class as much as I did, but I learned a great deal and the class was also pretty fun!

Rio is totally a gem! A must-have professor. She is totally over-qualified for this class, but she is teaching different ones next semester and if you were to have any professor in this field it should be her. I never had unanswered questions, never felt under-taught. I could go on and on. Thank you Rio!! Keep up with the work and you will do great

Great professor. Literally one of the best!! She is very understanding of her students and allow them to turn in late work. You will miss 25 points off of the late work, but she gives you so many chances to redeem the missing points by doing some hands-on training. Great class!!!

Rio Waller is a very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring professor. Feedback is constantly given, there are constant checks for understanding so that all students have some common understanding before introducing new concepts, and a great deal of care/attention is given to ideas brought in. Definitely will take another courses with Rio.

Amazing instructor, teaches very clear with examples and step by step instructions. Shes also very funny.

Although Rio does add more homework and course material into the class than the normal CIT15 curriculum, I felt that I learned a lot of things about computers in this class that would be useful in my life. Rio promoted opportunities such as local tech fairs and events in class where she would lecture at. Take Rio for CIT15, you'll thank me later :)

Wonderful JavaScript class; accessible even to those with no prior coding knowledge.

Great class, most of the material was taught using an online course. However, Rio did a great job of making sure the concepts were solidified by conducting weekly "learn together" and discussions. This class should be an easy A if you do the assignments (which arent very difficult). I initially spent about 4 hours a week but it quickly went to 2.

Rio is a great professor. If you have to take a computer class, I would recommend taking it from them. However, there are a lot of assignments but they are more tedious than difficult. The exams are incredibly difficult. Rio will work with you, and everything is due on a monday which is super nice.

Rio is an excellent instructor who helps you when you need help but doesnt give you the answer. She is firm, fair and consistent in her lectures and sticks to the rules. I truly appreciate her willingness to help. I would definitely take any of her classes again.

You really gain while study with Rio. She works really hard on organizing this course, makes everything is very easy to follow, gives constructive and encourage feedback on each assignment and quiz. Her schedule is very friendly, do accept late work. She is very humorous.

Amazing professor! I loved Professor Rio so much that I've been constantly on the lookout for courses with her as the instructor! Her methods are simple and very effective. I am so glad I decided to take this class (FALL2023). I was so confident in my coding that I even used it for a separate non-computer-related course as one of my final projects.

Her passion for coding is rejuvenating! She is super nice. You can tell she cares, because she provides many sources for help (including herself) throughout the semester. If you can invest your time in learning about coding, which you should, then you will pass this class EASILY with an A. It was fun, I learned a lot, and she was super helpful.

Rio really sets us up for success. She welcomes and asks for all types of feedback. FCC is really lucky to have her. I love her sense of humor and great personality, it makes this work so much funner. I've had her for JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL and I gotten A's in all of them. She is easy to work with, and her requirements are CLEAR. Amazing!!!

Rio is by far the most amazing instructor I've had. She grades your assignments every weekday morning and provides clear feedback and the opportunity to correct your work as long as you stay on top of it. She's funny, personable, and genuinely cares about her students. I highly recommend taking her classes. I'm going to miss her when I'm done.

Phenomenal class. Went in knowing nothing about SQL and came out feeling comfortable with the subject matter. Can be difficult since Rio expects no mistakes in your code. Feedback is great and, if you submit early, you can receive feedback and resubmit. Can take a lot of time if you're unfamiliar with SQL. Great professor!
