Excellent teacher! Very personable and fair. She knows her stuff.
It would be wise to take this class once you have accepted into nursing school. However, you can still easily pass this course if you can handle taking application tests. The math is fairly easy and counts for 20% of her grade. Also, she gives extra credit towards the end of the semester.
my printer broke because of her. She requires you to print over 100 pages of case studies on your own dime. Easy, but all that printing broke my printer. you cant email her the answers... she wants them printed out and done. Nice lady, ok lecturer, but horrible grade distribution and assignments
EXCELLENT INSTRUCTOR. EXPECTS YOU TO LEARN
I should have done this rating when I took her months ago. She didn't teach she bascially read from the textbook. She didn't go over much math, that was independent or seek a tutor. She talk mostly about she seeing drug addicts and what the signs are. I felt like the class was so vague, I could have save it for an online class.
Very knowledgeable. Test are all multiple choice and almost always critical thinking. Lots to learn but needed for nursing. She is funny and easy to approach. Does not give extra credit but will curve test when warranted. Her lectures are fast so pay attention. Print powerpoints prior to class.Math test are super easy. Highly Recommend
Her lectures are VERY fast. She spends WAY to much time talking about her "personal experiences" and not enough time teaching. Didn't get anything out of her lectures, had to study everything on my own from the book. Do yourself a favor and take a really good teacher for this class (like Kendall). I don't recommened Cinquemani.
Super teacher really knows her stuff. I really like the way she lays everything out upfront no surprizes. One of the best teachers I every had.
Don't think the other ratings are fair or accurate. There are multiple ways to learn the material and you DO NOT have to print anything except the powerpoints. Very fair and a very good class to take.
It take this class as lecture if you have no prior health knowledge, the same class is offered on line. You can pass this course if you prepare of the tests. The math is fairly easy and counts for 20% of her grade. 20% is discussion and quizzes. Extra credit on some exam, teaching style is very easily understood. I really enjoyed this class.
Highly recommended. Everything is planed out the first day. Lectures and powerpoints tell you what you need to know. You will need the math componet in nursing I and II. Cinquemani and Kendall are both really good.
Really think she is very good I liked how everything is explained up front. She makes a hard subject easier by breaking down the chapters into units and breaking the test down into test reviews. You can use your handbook and notes for the exams. She also covers the math which is very important because you have to pass the math in nursing.
I think she is one of the best professor ever. She really helped me understand the pharm content and I think she has some great experiences to share!!
I really enjoyed my first distant/online class. I was more so afraid of the computer but course content very direct and simplified.
Great Professor with a lot of real world experiences to share. PPTs, lecture notes, and drug charts are your biggest help to getting a good grade in this course ;)
I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THOSE WHO HAVE TAKEN HER BEFORE. HER MATH IS REAL EASY BUT SHE TAKES POINT OFF EVERY LITTLE THING. SHE WILL TELL US TO DO THE TEST REVIEW BUT WHEN IT COME TO THE ACTUAL TEST IS NOT THE SAME. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SOMEONE ELSE.
Are you kidding if you do the test review it is just what the test is about! You make the grade you put into the course. Nursing school is real world folks. She says what you make in this class is probably what you will make in nursing school...and it is true. Just try taking state boards friend.
I took her for spring online, and I just didnt enjoy it. Her test were hard and she was bad with communication. Take someone else.
Do her review. Practice your math. DO THE REVIEW, it IS the test so no reason not to make good grades. DO THE REVIEW!!! Care plan Extra Credit offered.
The Dosage Calculation was helpful. Some professors don't include this in their coursework but I feel it's strongly recommend and useful! Very helpful with understanding the course work pharmacology part of nursing, especially the math , my instructor is A+
Even though it was hybrid class, I felt like I could talk to my teacher. She did provide everything I needed to pass, and the rest was up to me to utilize the tools provided. I recommend for students to READ the syllabus really good so you do not miss out in information provided to pass the class the way I did. Pay attention!!!!
The material is going to be hard no matter who u take. But she was a pretty good teacher and as long as you thoroughly read the chapters and practice ur calculations u should make an A.However, she can sometimes run out of patience if u don't follow directions or ask the same question twice.
I have no hard feelings... I passed the course but do not feel that I learned anything. The tests were difficult, the test review is a must do or you will fail... her questions are tricky.. so you still will not get all correct. Lots of errors.. sometimes the drug names are misspelled on exam... and that is insane for a Pharmacology class.
I enjoyed the information that the instructor shared from her "life" experiences as a healthcare professional. She made the information very understandable and it was VERY helpful to have the powerpoints and audios available the same day as the lecture occurred. Excellent experience with this class on all points. Professor rocks:)
I really enjoyed the course. I like how there was a test review, which helped narrow in on the important information for each exam. I would recommend this course and I can see why so many students before did
The exam review was great help! The quizzes and discussions enhanced my learning throughout the course and a very fun and interactive way to learn from written material as well as from my classmates. Professor C took a difficult subject and made it easy to understand and apply to the workforce and daily living. Great instructor!
She is great!! Gives you a review & lets you bring 3 pages of notes front & back & tabbed drug guide to each exam, so it doesn't get any better than this for Nrsg. You have access to all lectures & ppts online. I'm a solid A, B student & made an A easily.
Easy A if you do the work. 4 Exams and no Final. Her reviews are the test basically. 50 things to know on reviews = 50 questions on Exam. Easy quizzes due before each exam which u can take over and over again and even see the answers. Discussions questions before each exam too. Easy class but you probably don't learn much in the long run.
Rating this her is difficult. her test have nothing to do with the test review, textbook, math is easy, but not well written or organized test for beginning nursing students. rethink teacher.
Her class was very easy and strait forward. As long as you do the assignments and the test review you will do extremely well in her class. The math is very simple as long as you do the practice questions in the book. She is very clear in her lectures. I recommend her.
i took this during a 6 week summer session! it seemed like so much work at the beginning but as long as you keep up with the calender and do the work you'll do ok. you only really have to go to class during tests because she doesnt take role and podcasts all her lectures.
This msg is intended only 4 serious students desiring to study and learn the material Prof C provides. By the grace of God I came out with an A but I must admit it wasnt a cake walk!U hv to commit 2 studying! I got a real glimpse of what nursing school will be like. Prof C is an awesome instructor that truly wants every1 to be successful
I enjoyed instructor.very fair instructor and I learned a lot in the class; I loved listened to all of the lectures and I like that she made them personal with life experiences. Keep up the good work. Thanks a lot for everything.
She could have made the class a lot harder, she didn't. She likes the subject and seems to like teaching.
She is a very hard clinical teacher. One out three do not make it in her classes. Too much assignments also affect the other causes one is taking. I will not recommend her to anyone.
Great professor really a good teacher has a world of experience and able to help you get the material. Highly recommend!
Very hard and inconsiderate.
Took her 6 week pharmacology class. It was fairly easy to get an A since she allows 6 pages of notes and the drug guide to be used during the test. As long as you have a good drug guide and listen to all the lectures you should be good. She responded to my emails quickly but seems to get confused easily so try to be as clear as possible.
Really knows nursing great professor to help you put it all together before state boards. She is a wonderful example of a profession nursing faculty member.
Students assigned to her clinical by use of force. If it happens to you, look for all excuses to change otherwise high chances of her destroying your career. Am a victim.
Do not take this class I know Nursing is not easy but 15 chp. for 1 test that's only 50- 55 questions! Only good thing is she lets you use notes, but the review she gives you is only drugs not the actual test. If you email her she shares it with the entire class. No privacy!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless u are already a LVN or Pharm. Tech .
Extremely knowledge and has great sense of humor. If you are serious about becoming a good nurse definitely take her class. Her bar is high but when you are finished you know you can become the RN you hoped to be. She knows what it takes to succeed in the profession. She takes the class seriously and will leave you confident in your skills..
This was a hybrid class. Mrs C posts all the lectures and presentations online. You can review all the lectures as many times as you want. She is caring and can keep your interest. You do have to put in the work but she is definitely fair.
I took Prof C for her 6 wks pharm class, so I'm not sure how she is in the reg sem. It seems like a lot of work at first, but as long as you do the work and your test review and flag your drug book, since she lets you use it on her tests, you'll be fine. I'm already an LVN, so that helped a lot, but if not already a nurse, you can do it.
I took a hybrid pharmacology course and got A-. the professor is very funny. you can get away with not going to the lectures. During lecture she talks about a lot of stuff that is actually helpful for nursing, but most of it is not information you need to know for her test. there are lecture test( hard) and math test (easy). good overall teacher
Great professor! Very professional. Serious students will learn allot. It's easy to see from other comments who takes their career seriously. Every thing you need is provided in the course and her lectures are so helpful too. To do well if you need take ownership of your own education. Nursing is an adult profession not for kids or victims.
Great class! Professor Cinquemani is very experienced and knowledgeable and makes the class really intersting. I am happy she included a math portion to the course and records all her lectures. Enjoyed the class and learned so much! She is funny and approachable.
I wish more of this class was taught in person, cause I paid for a in person class. There are 3 lecture test(super hard) 4 math (super easy). 10 discussion post and online quizzes that are completion. There is a ridiculous amount of chapters per test a 55 question test. Her lectures are like a hr long each video, do the review and buy a drug book
Professor Cinquemani is an amazing prof! She knows her stuff and really shares her many years of experience in ways that help you remember what to do in situations that could come up. She gives you everything you need to know but its up to you to do the work. I am glad I had her first in my nursing career. Looking forward to a great life as an RN
Took her 6wk hybrid pharm class - its hard material so be ready to work for it! Honestly, you dont really need the books, she covers everything in her audio lectures which you can watch as many times as you need. Use the test reviews, they really help, dont forget your notes that she allows for the test and study and you should do well.
I was pretty scared to take this class, but now that it's over I'm glad I did it. I took her 6 wks hybrid Pharmacology class. I only work on weekends so I didn't have a ton of outside commitments. I got 100s on all her tests. Just do the review, listen to her lectures, and be ready to do some critical thinking. It's a lot of work but its doable.
I took the hybrid pharm class. This teacher rocks! If you do the work, study, make 6 pages of notes, you will pass. She is friendly, down to earth, and has so many wonderful stories. I wish there were more professors like this one! She is a gem!
Prof. C is very knowledgeable and had lots of experience teaching this course. She made some chapter videos (Math and Pharmacology sections). You have to make sure you read the course syllabus so not to miss some important notes. Due to Covid transition, we took the Math exam portion in D2L, quizzess and discussions which are located in Evolve,
Professor Cinquemani is amazing! She's really funny during lecture, which makes it entertaining ! Her lectures are also very detailed, so DO NOT miss lecture!! She lets you use 6 pages of notes and your FLAGGED drug hand book for each test. Tests should be fairly easy with these resources. MAKE SURE YOUR DISCUSSIONS ARE IN APA FORMAT!!!
GREAT PROFESSOR. class was a lot of work but doable. ALL YOU NEED is a drug book to pass. No other textbooks! I didn't use anything else. DO THE STUDY GUIDE. its basically the exam. everything is said on her video lectures. 4 short math tests, easy 100s. extra credit given too! I failed first exam but ended up with an A at the end. DON'T GIVE UP!!
When you take this class, answer her review questions as you follow along on the lectures. If you do that, flag your drug book and study that review, you should have at least a B. A little more work studying will score you an A for sure. Only three tests, a few online quizzes and four easy dosing quizzes.
This may be an unpopular opinion. Professor C is very knowledgeable however she can be completely confusing and unorganized. Her directions are never clear. She only opens the test up at 11:00 am & 8:00 pm which is completely inconvenient for working student/ parents. She is also very forgetful when its testing day and she forgets to open the test.
This class is tough but study/do the test review with audio lectures (can be watched several times)&(long). 3 tests(tough with critical thinking), 4 math(easy but review the example), and quizzes(easy). She cares, offers help and gives extra credit. For me I found the reviews in evolve, idk if it was anywhere else, can get confusing to navigate.
ngl the first few weeks were very confusing and I felt she was unorganized. Once I got the schedule down this class was easy. She answers emails fairly quickly but does forget to open the tests on the specific times she sets up, which can be frustrating. it is a hard class but most are for nursing. we didn't need the textbook, just a good drug book
She talks a lot, making the lectures so long and tiresome. Tests are almost impossible. Almost impossible does not mean they are impossible though. I wouldn't say she was my favorite, only because of how 30 minutes extra is spent on talking about other things. The good part is that you will read and know the material after. Reading was everyday
If you have the option, take another professor for this class. She is very unorganized and only opens the test at 12pm and 8pm on test days which is very inconvenient for students that work. She also entered the wrong grade in the system for my final grade which is also very annoying.
Prof Cinquemani is understanding and caring. You will need to purchase a drug guide book and online access to do her quizzes. The pharm tests are open book and you can use your review which I highly recommend that you do. For math tests do the reviews. Follow the syllabus, review the power points, and listen to her lecture recording. You will pass!
Professor C is just awesome she is well organized and I learned so much from her pharm class. I definitely recommend her class. She lays out the course so you will know what you need to do to make your best grade. I am so glad I took her course before I started nursing school. Her test reviews are the best and her lectures very informative.
no extra credit but you dont need it if you pay attention. The exams were ok bc most of the answers were on the exam review so pay attention to that,I did not buy the math book bc its 6th grade math I had FT job and still passed I only took this class tho, lecture book is mandatory online bc there is graded quizzes on there. She answers email quick.
Prof C is an amazing professor. She provides detailed exam reviews for all her exams to help students pass. Please listen to all her videos as she explains those exam review chapters. Her videos are very lengthy, but they are worth it. Get the Math textbook, but most importantly listen to all her videos and solve all her math practice questions.
Pharmacology is a lot in itself but Professor Cinquemani makes it smooth! Her lectures and study exams are very helpful when it comes to learning the meds and taking exams. Class requirements: Sherpath for Pharm (online textbook included), Dosage Calculation textbook (diff than Sherpath), and a Nursing Drug Handbook. All are need to pass course.
I am not sure how someone who teaches pharmacology and can't pronounce diphenhydramine. People would ask questions and she would answer "Red your syllabus". . . Be prepare to watch lecture recordings that she is allllll over the place in.
I don't know how anyone could fail this class. The math exams are at a 6th-grade level. Every single one of the test questions is covered in her recorded lectures. Take the time to listen and write detailed notes and you will do great. She is, however, very unorganized, talks in circles, and can't pronounce medications correctly.
I love this Professor. her assignment and tests are not easy but if you do your work like working on Sherpath and finish your EAQs you will do fine. she has test review for every unit exams and math reviews too. Tests are open 12pm and 8pm not convenient for most but it's not that bad for me.
I honestly don't know how she received so many good reviews. She makes you do ALOT of busy work thats NOT for a grade. She has an attitude during the zooms and always states to reference to her syllabus without answering our questions. She makes the test only available for an hour time frame which makes it difficult for people who have busy lives.
Professor Cinquemani is a great! She explains everything the first day and records it to listen again. She also puts everything in writing as well so there should be no confusion at. I think this is a great course to get ready for nursing school which is very hard. If you FOLLOW instructions and READ you should make an A like I did.
I got an A but only because the tests were online without supervision. I was able to use my notes. I've never heard of a professor making you take exams at only 12 pm and 8 pm. She is available outside of class, but don't expect her communication to be respectful or positive. Lots of "Maybe you should go back and read the syllabus." Good luck!
Watch her review videos & you'll make an A on the test. It's hard to follow along & takes a few hours to complete. She mispronounces drugs & can be all over the place, so be patient. She lets you use notes for the tests. Dont rely on quizlet, her questions are unique. When it comes to math, it's simple, but you do have to pay attention to detail.
THIS professor is the worst avoid at all cost you also have to an extra 200 something dollars on aassignments in elsevier her lectures are prerecorded and its hard to understand what she is saying, she is also rude and gets frustrated when students ask questions or for clarity, she also only opens up exams 12noon and 8pm and sometimes she is late.
avoid at all cost
3 Exams (you can use the review provided and notes), 4 math exams consisting of simple math with plenty of practice, and 10 Evolve exams (notes). I highly recommend watching or attending her Webex meetings where she goes over the review (she gives most of the answers). It is a workload but stay on top of everything! Her lectures are funny.
Professor C gave us many resources to utilize during the class. She held live reviews prior to tests and recorded them for those that could not attend. I am thankful to her for making this course not only fun but easy to learn and work for our busy lives. She responds to emails in a timely manner. Encouraged me to meet her virtually to help.
Prof C was awesome, I enjoyed her class/ learned so much. Very detailed in her syllabus, very responsive to any questions we may have. The tips she gave help us succeed. Provided lecture videos, answered questions, give additional resources materials. Gave enough time to complete the materials - practice lessons and quizzes. I loved this class!
I'm not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from, but Professor C class was straightforward, can't be lazy though, you get to use your review (that she goes over) on the test and drug book. Very drug heavy... Math was super easy I didn't even buy a book for the math portion. Take her! Classes fill fast!
Enjoyed the class a learned so much. Prof C explains everything upfront and provides additional assistance online with flexible office hours. She has loads of experience and knows why this class is a foundation for students. I made an A because I followed all of her tips in preparation for the exams. Top rate experience.
Professor C has been the best science professor I have ever had at LSC. Do your work & attend her meetings, and you will score well. Nursing school is not easy, but she will prepare you in this pre-req course. She offers open-book tests & 2 points of extra credit at the end of class. Utilize all of the tools given to you, and you can get an A.
Rita doesn't play. Those webex meetings were my holy grail, thank you professor C.
I took Prof. C's pharm class for Spring semester. At first it took some getting used to figuring out where all the assignments are located. I like how her math exams prep you for the math exams in the nursing program. Make sure you attend her exam reviews. No webcam.
Professor Cinquemoni is GREAT! Pharmacology is not an easy subject especially when taught online. She is very caring and wants you to succeed. She WILL email the class on weekends to make sure we dont fall behind. Be ready to practice your math skills. This course is textbook heavy and there are no shortcuts. Match her effort and you'll pass!
