Horrible class. Way too much expected of you (like attending 10 multicultural events). Made us come 8am Saturday to make up for snow day. Treats you like a child and will lecture or embarass you in class. Assignments are vague and confusing.

Rita a good prof? im sorry, couldnt understand her while she ate chicken and bashed men.

She is the most arrogant opinionated woman I have ever met. She preaches tolerance but has none for others' opinions. She called the white people in our class honkeys: double standards are immense in her classroom. Avoid her for your own well-being.

Very offensive and argumentative, expects too much, as if her class is the only class we have the whole semester. Grinds her teeth so hard you can hear it in the back of the room!

She is an example of why American students are being outpaced by international students. She preaches victimology. God help you if you if you are part of the oppressor class (white male) and disagree with what she spews forth.

Gives much more work than necessary. I didn't learn a thing in this class because I didn't have time to remember anything. I was always too busy working on the next assignment. Assigned 4 projects in one day. Assumes that only her class is important.

This woman is a horrible prof. Do not take her. She is very self centered and thinks she is right about everything. She is very unclear. She goes off on tangents and I have not learned much in relationship to the subject. She's a slob too.

Horrible, biased, HORRIBLE people skills, Should not be a teacher, she may have the intelligence to be a college professor but, is ignornat to students and other people she comes in contact with. I don't recomend taking her hopefully she will be out soon so no other students need to deal with her.

Oh man, this was a mistake taking this teacher. I got stuck in her class in my first year up here, and now I have never felt more helpless. She belittles you in class, and if you go see her at office hours, she brushes you off. This teacher is a waste,she doesn't even show up on time. Unprofessional

she makes you want to cry. she is anything BUT a prof in human relations. i got an A+, but sitting through the awful class was torture! we talked about anything not on the subject and her rabbit trails such as why she loves playboy could take more than an hour. her goal is to make you fight back.

There are many things to say about Rita, she dragged us to D.C. where she belittled our whole class in front of strangers and the president of MU. The only good thing about that trip was Philips all you can eat buffet. Strongly recommend avoiding her at all cost.

She is crazy

She's a couple eggs short of a dozen...but she's very intelligent. This woman knows her ****. she's very hard and demanding. If you have a problem understanding something, ask a fellow classmate who knows. Don't let her get under your skin and only listen to what material she teaches. Avoid taking her if you can help it.

If you want an easy A and don't mind being belittled, go for it. She favored the obnoxious students who talked to eachother all through class and she randomly gives F's on papers without any comments. I used to work on campus and dealt with all of the professors and she is by far the crankiest and rudest person I have ever met.

Do not take this proffessor's class. She gives no positive feedback; very critical. Being critical can be helpful when you are being guided and not ridiculed. If you want a prof. who will guide you, do not take Rita Smith.

I've been reading many comments about how Rita is a decent teacher. Please do not pay any attention to those write-ups!! This women needs to be evaluated by Millersville University AND FIRED! Even if you have one spot left in your schedule and you think a psychology class would be fun...THINK AGAIN! Is being belittled every class period worth it?

I had her as my adviser this semester & she did not help me AT ALL! When I set up meetings with her, she would meet with her students before me OR they would be in the same room as she was advising me. She got very nasty with me the first time I met her! She did not give me the time of day & was VERY rude! I will never take any of her classes!

She was a very unhelpful professor. At many instances she was extremely disrespectful toward students. She was also not punctual and arrived late to class many times. As far as a teaching style, she used exclusively powerpoints and didn't explain the slides in the least. Overall a terrible teacher and role model for MU.

Do not take online psychology with her. She is rude and disrespectful.

Rita was my assigned adviser and she never once asked me what I wanted to do after getting my degree. She was rude, would have other people in the office during my appointment and thought nothing of belittling a person to all others present. I switched to a better adviser who pointed out that I took classes I didn't need but she said were mandatory

Super strict, unclear with assignments, gets off track easily (to the students' expense), quick to anger, unorganized. Almost all assignments are group projects. She's downright mean to students, and very condescending. Every once and a while she's funny and friendly, but normally she's one to avoid.

Students must attend 10 multicultural events, write a ten page paper, and multiple oral reports. Nothing is graded and no one knew their grade until it came out. I got an A and I was very shocked. Rita is rude and unprofessional. She teaches an online class, however she apparently does not understand the technology required to do so. Assignments were listed differently on the syllabus and online. She sends snarky one word email responses and seemingly refuses to employ correct spelling or grammar in her correspondence.

This class has a large workload. The work is easy, just time consuming. Her people skills are bad, addresses us as "you" while pointing. She is disorganized. If you want to pass class you need your data.

Rita is a very confusing woman. Never specifies how she wants projects done and if done incorrectly, she does not give good feedback on how to fix it. She screams a lot. Expect to volunteer, write pointless two paged papers and take impossible quizzes. She does kinda care about people but she only shows it outside of class beware!!! She's scary

I took her for an online class. The graded assignments did not match the grade book. In order to submit assignments online, it needs to be under the assignment tab, not just the grade tabs. She did not provide any feed back in the class and her expectations were not clear. I have never had a professor that was as disorganized as her. I

Do not take her class. You will spend 90% of your free time doing work for her class and your other classes will get left to the wayside. She piles work up so much, you'll have 3 assignments to do at 1 time. Don't bother asking her for help or clarification, she will yell at you. It's not worth it, unless you can dedicate 100% of your time and effort into her class.

I REALLY wanted to love this class and professor. She is well-respected and very accomplished, but this class was a nightmare. Most classes, she was 20 minutes late or more. When she did show up, she got in arguments with students or went off on tangents. She did NOT make clear when anything was due. I left this class frustrated, a waste of money.

Get ready to read for endless hours and do endless hours of work, just to get failing grades. She doesn't realize that people work full time jobs and have other things to do other than sit on their computer and take a summer course. Do not take this class, or anything from this lady. Had to drop the class because I did not have time for it.

The way the class is set up, you will be doing work for endless hours every day, so don't plan on having a job or a life for five weeks. She is also a very harsh grader, so good luck. I'm in the process of talking to Millersville and getting a refund and dropping the class, no one can afford to spend $1000+ to fail a class.

The worst professor I ever had! I took her for a winter course, 10 days of very long classes. She showed up in the morning, talked for 15 minutes, popped in an old VHS video, then disappeared for hours. When we did have classroom discussion, she was intolerant of other's perspectives & pushed her self described socialist views

I had such high hopes for this class. I read the reviews on here and thought to myself that she couldn't possibly be as awful as the reviews said. Less than 2 days into the class I had a list of assignments that completely (and still are) consumed me. Prepare to feel lost half the class, and don't ask her questions unless you want to be berated.
