alittle wacky but easy, lots of assignments, no papers though!

She is a great teacher & so funny. She gives so many helpful handouts in all colors. She will help anyone willing to ask for it. She is tough on you if you give her any bull. She is an easy A if you work for it. She is great & loves cats too. I loved her.

Very nice Lady, very educated and helpful. VERY good teacher, will bend over backwards to help out those students who WANT the help and DO the work required. Extremly fair and lenient, especially with the written examinations!

Prof Sakitt is great! If you want to take a class with a professor who is very interested in her work, take her!

This class is not for the student that just wants to coast through a semester. You must attend this class in order to GET IT! Things are not clear at first then 2 or 3 classes later AND reading the text...it suddenly clicks. Professor Sakitt is a sociologist, so beware..she will pick out the slacker

Professor Sakitt is a wonderful lady. She is extremely smart. I REALLY enjoyed her class. She was very helpful. Do the work required and you will have no problem. There are no surprises in the tests because she gives a study guide. If you fail is definitely because you are lazy.

Not a clas for somone looking to skate. If you are willing to work she is a very fair grader. Interesting subject matter.

ohh be kind. she is a very sweet lady as you get to know her.. She may be a little hard and go off topic a lot, but the class itself is fairly interesting. You get to learn a lot about other peoples culture

This woman is GIFTED definetely on my top 5 favorite suffolk professors. I don't know what these other students are talking about, she is clear and extremely smart in this field. Sociology is NOT easy. Just study the vocabulary words that she gives you, read all the chapters and its very important to do ALL the homeworks. You learn a lot.

I am now attending SO11 and have found her to be a witty, intelligent prof.(with a few hangups about spelling). I've gained interest in SO11 and have found that doing the work assigned equals a very good grade. I'm in SO11 now,my interest has grown (b/c Sakitt's unique and witty delivery) Saying she's nasty and bitter simply isn't true While spelling is an issue, I find her smart and personable Her tests are original and hard, but reading the material = a good grade. It sounds to me like the last person didn't do so well and is nasty and bitter themself!

I am taking her soc. class. At first I really didnt like her but once you get used to her style of teaching the class gets extremly enjoyable. Its tough in the begining becuase you have to learn all the boring stuff before you get into the interesting topics. Her tests aren't so bad if you elaborate as much as possable. I took her Sociology online class and I personally think she is a great professor. She is very helpful and is able and willing to answer every and all questions. She gives ample opportunity for extra credit and is willing to let you redo assignments that you may have misunderstood. Great Professor!

Fantastic Professor! You will be missing something if you do not take her. Very knowledgeable. I Looked foward to class. It's amazing how she is able to discuss any topic inluding science spontaniously, and very comfortably too. Benefited immensely from her class. Also gives several extra credit opportunities. I just finished her online course and it was extremely easy. It depends on online discussions and the occasional paper. She's always available for help and although she's anal about spelling, all you need to do is use a spellchecker for an online course. I highly recommend her.

The best part of the course is the book project. You will gain a great deal of insight on issues of social problems. She is a stickler for spelling (as it should be) but you are allowed your opinion and she is fair with that. The course can be a bit political but it was interesting. No tests, some writing assignments.

Great Teacher, Took this class online as long as you partake in the discussions you will do great. Put Anthropological resources in your essays and you will do fine. I was taking 15 credits and swamped with work and I got an A. Good very organized class. I enjoyed it.

Professor Sakitt was extremely patient and helpful during the semester. She is very prompt in answering questions, and adds her own insight to the course material. Great Job!

After reading some of the assessments, I had to add a comment. Professor Sakitt goes out of her way to ensure that you understand the material, with numerous printouts. There is no ambiguity in her coursework. Those that did poorly missed out on a great opportunity to learn from a very insightful instructor. Great Job!

Professor Sakitt gave a lot of thinking work, and her tests were always very challenging. However, she went out of her way to help me do well time and time again. She will communicate through email and has open office hours if you need clarification on any topic. The class is a bit tricky but with the right effort, you'll do well.

This is the second course I've taken with Professor Sakitt. She truly is a wonderful educator. If you need help, she will go out of her way to explain herself better, and make the information clear to you. All you need to do is take lots of notes and you'll ace her open textbook and notes tests with flying colors.

not that bad if your looking for an Easy A dont take this class. if you want a challenge take her. every answer is right as long as you can back it up. be prepared to back it up always.

Prof Sakitt is awesome. I really don't understand the bad reviews unless they are from students that don't like to do work. She had open book tests for crying out loud! Just come to class, take good notes and do the HW. The material is interesting and Sakitt knows what she's talking about. She even gives out candy sometimes. Great professor.

Easy class if you pay attention. Teacher comes off hard but is actually really nice and funny. Tests are a little challenging. No homework, only three essays and three tests. Listen to her instructions carefully! Dont quote the book and you'll do fine!

I took her online class for ANT 101 and she made it very interesting! This was my first online class and I got an A! and she made her assignments very clear. 10 Discussion Interactivities (which are fun) and 5 written activities but if you do very well you are exempt from the last written activity. Highly reccomend taking her!

She is a very nice lady and offers a lot of help through email and office hours. Her lectures are fun and she makes the topics interesting, 3 tests and 3 essays the exams are a bit challenging although they are open book she really makes you think, she is brilliant and knows a lot about what she is talking about

I took Prof.Sakitt's SOC class my first semester and I got an A. She is very helpful,if u fail her exams mayb ure nt ready fo college. U have 3 concept papers & also have 3 essays to write, she gives u the info to read& write abt. DO these papers they help with ur final grades. She will allow extra time to complete if you explain ur situation. :)

Well folks this is a college course but if you SHOW UP, DO THE ASSIGNMENTS, and PARTICIPATE IN CLASS DISCUSSIONS youll do great she is extremely well learned in this field and has a great deal of knowledge to share if you are willing to take it highly recommended and enjoyed

She is not a bad professor. Her homework assignments are pretty tricky. You not only have to read the book to get the answers but you have to use outside knowledge to get a good grade. Some of her lectures are more interesting than others. You will get a lot in the class if you are a Sociology Major.

Not sure why Professor Sakitt didn't get such great ratings on this site. I was pregnant during my semester with her, and was in danger of failing. As long as I asked for the help, she was there every step of the way. She was extremely kind and understanding and above all, reasonable. I would definitely take a class with her again. Your the best!

Prof. Sakitt will help you if you ask, and while she can be somewhat tough at times, I liked her class. As long as you follow along with the reading, you'll do just fine. The reading is fairly interesting, and she usually has interesting things to talk about in lecture. Overall, I would say she is a good professor. Reading and participating matters

The class may be boring but she makes the lectures interesting. Reading is a must to pass the quizzes. everything is straight forward. She is so sweet and will help you if you have questions. recommend to do her extra credits.

I had this professor about 2 & 1/2 years ago in my freshman or sophomore year. I have to say the class itself is somewhat boring but, she does make it interesting. She is a bit old and has a very sarcastic sense of humor. She makes you think outside the box and if she picks on you in class, don't take it personal. Be prepared to read and write!

Professor Sakitt is ine of the kindest people i've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She went sooo far above and beyond to help me, when i was going through a peraonal crisis. I consider her to be a "friend" as well as an instructor. Be good to her, and she will be good to you. Highly recomend!

She is a very smart woman, very well educated and knows a lot about the subject. you need to do a lot of reading and writing but its worth it. You will get an A if you put an effort and do hard work . I would recommend it if you really want to learn.

I personally loved my experience with prof sakitt. Such a sweet lady, her lectures are very interesting. She takes cell phone use very offensive but who wouldent.. its rude essays were a bit difficult, but overall loved her class. Deff recommend

Amazing professor! Very detailed and knowledgeable. Assignments due every week and you basically read the entire textbook but the class is very interesting. She grades fair and gives good feedback; I received extra points on almost all the assignments I handed in. A week before the final assignment she emailed me and said I was getting an A.
