This is a new teacher at PJC. She is great at explaining the material. Her tests are easy - just study what she ask you to. Do exactly what she asks of you and you will pass the class with an A. Her opportunity for extra credit is a great learning tool. She really reinforces what you need to know in the class. GREAT TEACHER!

She is a great teacher. She leaves nothing a mystery as to what you need to know for her tests. However be sure to study since you can get bogged down in all the info easily, especially toward the end of the class. Also be sure to print out the powerpoints. She just reads off of them and tends to talk kind of fast.

She's a hard cookie. But if you study and do all your work, as well as extra credits, you're sure to pass this class.

Finally a teacher who knows what "Biology for Non-Majors" actually means. Although I hate Biology, I LOVED Ms. Thrasher. There is seriously no way you can do poorly in this class unless you don't study for the tests. Her reviews are EXCELLENT! Tons of extra credit, easy homework assignments, and she is so funny! Definitely take this class!

Brilliant in ways I can scarcely express. Took a dense, unapproachable topic and made it interesting and intelligible. The book is unneccessary - she works almost entirely from powerpoints. Not an "easy A", but with some effort you'll pass it just fine. My favorite science teacher of all time. HIGHLY recommended.

she is too cool and very laid back. the content is very specific and can be challenging. there's lots of taxonomy to memorize, but it's very interesting. she teaches from power points that she makes available online. i only did poorly due to my own lack of studying. you have the entire semester to do a project. the A is yours is you want it!

I took her online A&P I.I She is a great teacher! She posts her video lectures on the elearning site. Her tests and quizzes come completely from power points and the lectures. She also offers extra credit (and it was easy). She grades and responds to emails very quickly. It's a hard class, but if you study an "A" is very obtainable.

I took Mrs. Thrasher for 1094L. She's awesome! Her labs are interesting and she gives opportunities for extra credit. Quizzes every week from the power points - fill in the blank, so be prepared. But that really helped me feel ready for the exams. She posts all labs on Youtube. Grades everthing in class. Easy "A" if you study.

I took Thrashers Zoology class this semester. And i would definitely reccomend her to anybody. This class is hard, but it is worth it. I learned so much from her, MAKE SURE YOU STUDY. And that you attend every class period or you will be lost! You have a test or quiz each class period, but if you study you will do fine.

I was very nervous about entering AP2, but Thrasher made it fun, interesting and easy to understand!!! Not mandatory to attend class, but YOU are responsible for making good grades!!!

Best teacher ever, I hate science in general and usually barely pass with a low C in most science class, but because of thrasher's teaching style it allowed students a better way of understanding the materials that were broke down in such manner that we can easily pass with flying colors, I will definitely take her AP2 class. A&P I covers a lot of complex information, so I had to mark it as a 4 for easiness level. However, Professor Thrasher is a wonderful teacher & made a difficult subject as clear and easy as possible. Her exams are straight-forward and fair. Students with other teachers told me they didn't understand the chapters & were scared of exams.

Great teacher- must study- All the due dates and grading information were as explained. Powerpoints and online lectures were given which made the class exceptional. She explains everything very well! The textbook is not needed. Outlines for each chapter and final exam were given. Extra credit was also an option. I Highly recommend her!

Professor Thrasher's online lecture and on site lab course is highly recommended. She has recorded powerpoint lectures for her online course which is SO helpful for those who are visual/auditory learners. On site lab was hilarious and super interactive. There aren't a lot of teachers who truly love what they do, and you can tell she is one of them.

I made an hour drive to the Milton campus from Baldwin county just to take her A&P II class and then scheduled my other courses around her Prins of Bio Divs course this semester. She truly cares about her students, knows her subjects VERY well, and is extremely good at explaining things. Her class is only easy because she's such a good professor.

Class is tough, but she is there for you. Its a lot of lecturing through PowerPoints but you can access them easily on canvas. She gives you reviews to do that contain 200+ questions, but if you finish and submit them by a certain day she will send it corrected for studying. Also for extra credit she does food drives. Overall best teacher ive had.

She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you have the chance to take her class, do it! You will not be sorry.

Very nice, easy to talk to, and gives amazing help when you reach out to her. I would not have passed this class without the help of this teacher. Hilarious during labs and makes learning fun. Outside of class she will help you if you need it as well. Couldn't ask for a better professor.

I took Mrs. Thrasher as advised by rate my professors and they didn't lie she's amazing. Along with funny interesting lectures that relates what you learn to the real world. My grandfather had a surgery with complications that she walked me through every part of the process. Just be prepared to put in the work any college level class deserves

Definitely take Mrs. Thrasher for A&P! She is highly educated and is an excellent speaker. She has a lot of very helpful youtube videos for Lab and also holds special study sessions before Lab exams. You do have to study for her class, A&P is a tough subject. She's also very funny which makes lectures better! Gives extra credit.

Mrs. Thrasher was amazing! I took her for both BSC1093/BSC1094 after returning to school yrs out of college. She really goes above and beyond for her students. By far the best instructor I have taken. She does an awesome job preparing students for her tests and gives good feedback. Took her in class for lecture and lab. Willing to help students!

Mrs. Thrasher is easily the best teacher I've ever had. She makes people want to listen to her and she relates everything she talks about to real life situations that make her material easier to understand. She gives tons of extra credit and helps with any questions you may have.

Ms. Thrasher is the best teacher I've ever had!!! The material itself is difficult, but if you listen to what she says and do her study guides its impossible to not receive an A or a B. Treat her with respect, and she will do the same for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. If she sees your trying, she will try to help you.

Extremely knowledgeable, previously worked in the medical field. Uses lots of real-life examples to make the material relevant. She doesn't require the book, just the online "Mastering" access. I got the previous edition of the book for $30 and I feel it helped a lot. Great exam prep. Lab will kill you if you don't study, tons of terms to memorize.

Thrasher was by far one of my favorite professors at PSC! She is very funny! I loved going to her lectures! She doesn't teach from the book so make sure you take notes during her lectures because that's where she get's a lot of her test questions. Gives extra credit but makes you earn it! She gives test reviews before each test that help A LOT!

Thrasher is an excellent teacher, probably one of my favorites at PSC. I took her for both lecture and lab, she gives you exactly what you need to do well on all of her quizzes &amp; tests &amp; does offer bonus points. But you do need to show up to do well! Shes knowledgeable about the subject &amp; does her very best to relate it to real life scenarios.

Rita is an amazing Prof! She keeps labs fun and you really do learn a lot. It is a lot of work so don't take this course for an easy A. Through either a strong memory or tough studying, it is very possible to get an A or B. She gives you a ton of study materials and help but you have to take initiative to utilize it.

Mrs. Thrasher is probably one of the most intelligent and most hilarious people I have ever met. She genuinely wants you to do well. She is extremely fair. With that said, make sure you are ready to actually learn and memorize parts of the body. This class has a huge amount of information. It will be one of the most memorable classes that you take.

A great choice for Prin of Bio! She does 10-11 weekly tests that are due on canvas by Sunday night of that week. They have 10 questions each and easy if you have the powerpoint out while you take them. Gives take home tests sometimes, once she let us take a test with a buddy and open notes. A good lecurer and always open to any questions.

The BEST ANAT professor at PSC! I recommend her to anyone who has to take any anatomy courses. Provides youtube videos for further instruction if you need extra help, always answers emails quickly and genuinely wants to see you succeed. She has a lot of extra credit opportunities and drops your lowest grades. Got an A! Wish I could take her again!

Gives take home tests sometimes. Teaches a lot of material, but makes class engaging. Tests can be tricky, but straight forward enough to figure it out if studied. Don't have to buy the book. Can pass class without showing up, but sitting through her lecture is more fun and goes quicker than reading ppt on your own. Plus, she takes count per policy

Take her AP2 lecture online and the lab in class. SHE IS AWESOME. Print the powerpoints in lab and highlight everything that she says will be on the lab practicals, because this is exactly what will be on them. Lecture online was easy, lockdown browser for exams but there is only 4 and they are relatively easy. Lab is an easy A if you study.

I took Mrs Thrasher when the COVID19 broke out and she was amazing throughout it all, Labs were turned into lectures, shes funny and Made me want to come / listen to her in class. Thrasher is very approachable in and outside of class. Just be prepared to memorize taxonomy. Test / quizzes weekly. But youll learn!!

I took her online class during the time Covid-19 closure. Though this class was already online, she extended due dates and added an extra credit option to help us during these times. Amazing Professor!

Professor Thrasher was a wonderful professor. She is engaging during her lectures and gave me grace when I missed an exam because of work schedule. She acknowledges that many of us work full time and is very mindful of that when assigning homework and exams. She reminded us of all assignments due every week. This was my first time in five years back in college and it was online, she was so courteous, her lectures were outstanding, wonderful with emails. Easily the best teacher I have had here. I had her online for zoology and in person for the lab portion. The labs were a lot of fun and very enjoyable. She is incredibly passionate about the subject and clearly loves to teach. Would 100% have her again if i could. Content can be challenging but if you pay attention and ask questions youll do fine!

I really enjoyed Professor Thrasher Zoology class. She gives you several quizzes and exams so if you didn't pass a quiz or an exam it's okay you can still make it up. She also gave us extra credit! Another thing that I appreciate about this professor is she emails you in a timely manner and she doesn't mind helping you as well.

For anyone who plans to go into the health care industry, I cannot recommend her classes enough. She is a very knowledgeable professor and will do everything to help you understand the materials. Professor Thrasher was amazing! She would print all our PowerPoints out IN COLOR. She knew the importance of seeing color printed PowerPoints in A&P II. Besides her lectures she also has recorded lectures that are helpful in such a demanding subject. She is laid back and does lectures well. I learned a lot in this class!

Love Professor Thrasher although I unfortunately never got to meet her since I'm taking online courses @ Unity. I thank her for being strict with APA format citing because if it wasn't for her, I'd not push myself to even care to do it correctly (I now have it memorized)!

She's extremely understanding with personal situations, and is always available when you need her. The class is very lecture heavy and all of them are pre recorded. Sometimes she'll have 6 videos in one week and they'll all be 20 minutes to an hour long. I'm unsure why she doesn't just make one big video but as long as you take notes you'll be ok
