Worst Teacher Ever. I'm not exaggerating. She's just terrible. If you get her ever, transfer out IMMEDIATELY. I know multiple elementary school teachers I've had that would teach this class far more effectively.

Run away, transfer or drop immediately. She is, hands down, the worst professor I have ever had. She is impossbile to understand and doesn't explain anything. The homework is exceedingly long and hard. The class average for homework is around a 50%. At least the lectures are online.

Get out of this class. We are not exaggerating. She is a horrible teacher. Makes errors on tests and when you ask about them she doesnt understand what you are talking about. No joke.. transfer or take stat another quarter. Its not worth it to suffer through her lectures.

Good lord, just drop her class. She always sounds as if she's speaking in some ancient garbled language and doesn't seem to understand the material herself. Honestly, just don't take her class.

Although Rituparna's boy-ish haircut and her toned mid section make her some amazing eye candy, her class is quite boring/useless. I only showed up to her lectures so that I could receive the satisfaction of her watching me leave 10 minutes into the class.

Good ol' Ritu is a looker, that NO ONE can deny. Unfortunately, her teaching ability is not up to par. She can't speak discernable English and has minimal knownledge on the subject. I hope this doesn't happen to me again throughout my college career. This was a do-it-yourself course, basically.

Avoid taking this teacher if you can. She is very unclear and doesn't let you use notes for the tests.

She's not a very good teacher. She lectures right off her notes. The class was easy though if you read the book and do the homework. I wouldn't recommend this teacher though.

Teacher is horrible, but the class is easy. Dont try at all in this class and you'll get a B. If you feel like it, you can try and get an A. But thats for suckers.

I cannot understand a thing she say. Do not take the class if you have a hard time with professors with an accent. In my opinion, she does not know how to teach at all. Watch out for the TA's cause they also have heavy accent.

If u r not a math person at all, DO NOT TAKE SEN! Her class is easy for ppl who kno what theyr doing but shes no help 4 ppl who dont know math. she is hard 2 understand. her TAs shouldve taught the class! Very boring. Tests r short, noncumulative & curved.. but each question is 1% of ur final grade.

Booooooo! Sen is just a bad teacher. Honestly stopped going to lecture and tried to teach myself from the power points she puts online. Doesn't speak English well and doesn't understand it either so tough to ask questions.

Her lectures are confusing and homeworks take forever and are pretty impossible. Her tests are 16 multiple choice, and are pretty easy if you took stats in highschool. she doesn't explain concepts well and you learn more by yourself with her slides

I cant believe that she has a job period, much less as a teacher. Who explains concepts by simply doing an example? An idiot would and that she is. She wirtes a title that you can't read, people go, 'what does that say?" she writes every single word she says in third grade cursive, does the problem, moves on. I go to class simply to make fun of her

Lectures don't make ANY sense even if u can understand her, homework is unreasonably hard and tests are difficult. I basically had to teach myself and still did horribly.

she sucks. both in hw and in lectures, when someone asks "oh professor, isn't this the correct answer?" she'll answer, "oh right... you are correct." you can't depend on her notes. better hope you get a good ta to pass the class. my ta sucked with an accent and gave us the wrong formula for hw. good luck with her; you'll need it.

This professor can't teach a class in a clear way, and when doing practice tests, she couldn't even come up with the correct answers... you're better off skipping class and teaching yourself.

She dosn't use the overhead so she writes on the board which is very hard to read unless your sitting within 4 rows of the front. Also hard to understand. She expects you to know the material already. This class made me cry when I got a C on the midterm.

If you can understand her English, your listening is pretty good. Homework is online and sometime can piss you off because they will submit your homework automatically and you have to re-do it again. 2 Midterms and they are easy. If you can study by yourself or you have taken AP stats b4. That may be a good course for an A.

I could learn more reading straight from the text than by listening to her lectures.

So frustrating! Her "r"s are confusing, and she writes British style with her decimals mid-number. Went to her office hours once, and couldn't help us with our questions. Terrible class, even worse prof.

She's kinda nice (until you go to her office hours), but her lectures are extremely frustrating and unclear. It took her the whole quarter to decide if she wanted to curve any of the work, (only 1 midterm was). I wish the TA taught her class.

Possibly the worst teacher I have ever encountered. She cannot teach. At all!. Tests are tough, but the fact that she cannot explain well, makes it even harder. You have a better shot at passing this class by teaching yourself right out of the book than by listening to her. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT take this class!

ritu makes my life miserable. her lectures don't help at all, she gets paid for talking to the board and writing lectures directly off of the stats cd book. why is she still teaching even after 2 years of horrible ratings? i don't know. Bad, bad, bad. This is the professor that I will be writing about to grad school, explaining my GPA/ difficulties as an undergrad. Do not take this class.

Lets just say im studying for the final and the key for practice problems she gave us doesnt incorrectly uses the formulas she gave us. Dont take this course by her. its confusing and she is hard to understand and always seems confused herself during class.

Worst professor at UC Davis... I have no idea why she was hired... The tests were not all that hard but the textbook was horrible and the homework is a complete joke... It wasn't consistant with the textbook and we had no way of checking our answers to see if we were doing the problems right or not... DO NOT TAKE STA13 with Sen

She is a very nice person, BUT THE WORST PROFFESOR EVER!!! You can't understand her when she talks, her writing is very small and illegible, and the textbook SUCKS! The homework is a joke, inconsistent with the lectures. To make matters worse, my TA was the same way. Just a horrible class, DO NOT TAKE IT!

She is crazy... not helpful... if you have a question, ask your TA.. dont even bother her. She has such a strong accent and writes everything on the chalkboard. Homeworks are terrible, i recommend seeing the TAs during office hours for help right off the bat. The good news is that her tests are not bad and the final is mult. choice

Horrible teacher. I took AP statistics in high school and still had trouble in this class. Her homework is a lot harder than the tests and on top of that, she does not explain during her lectures.

She doesn't care if we really learn or not she just wants to get through the material. Talks a mile-a-minute w/ a really thick indian accent which makes even 2+2 seem like a complicated calculus equation. I have no clue how i pulled a B, she was very hesitant on curving and often dropped hwk problems b/c no one could answer them even her TAs

My worst experience at UCD thus far. She is difficult to understand and can't understand your questions and refers you to inquire with the TA when she doesn't feel like going over something in class, only to let you out then 15 min early from lecture. The material is easy and she made it much my dry and difficult than necessary.

When people claim she's the worst professor they've had, this is NOT an understatement. She's HORRIBLE, you're better off trying to teach yourself than waste 50 minutes in what she calls a lecture. She simple rereads and rewrites examples from the book (which is horribly flawed as well). You'll wonder constantly how Sen still has a job. AVOID!

Sen is one of the most unenthusiastic professors I have ever had. She stands there with her notes (basically the textbook) and writes on the board. You are better off not going to class. Hard to understand but midterms and final were not unreasonable. Avoid her if you can but if you have to take her you'll be alright (I got an A).

The worst teacher I have ever had at the university. Not helpful, worst book, waste of time attending lecture as you cant understand her and she doesnt lecture on anything thats either on the tests or homeworks, grades homework incredibly hard, first midterm is a joke and midterm 2 and final are impossible. Says she will curve and then doesnt.

This is by far the worst teacher ever. Avoid taking her. the tests are crazy and she doesnt prepare you for any of it, she hates to teach you how to do something. AVOID Her.

This professor was not good. My friends and I decided to risk it and take her even though she had really bad reviews. What a MISTAKE that was. Midterms and final are multiple choice so cannot get partial credit. She does homework online which take forever and do not help at all. She seems uninterested in the subject and does NOT teach well.

Awful. Can't understand her, and when I can, she doesn't teach. Biggest regret for any class. Avoid :(

Please do not take her class!! you cant understand a word she says and she is a terrible teacher!! you not going to class will literally not affect you at all she just rights things on the board with no explanation. and she rights reall fast once ur behind its unlikely u will catch up!!! once again she is TERRIBLE!!!!! Worst class I have ever taken. I ended up missing the drop deadline and just gave up and took the F. I am an A/B student and scored under 50% on most everything. I am not stupid. This professor is atrocious. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER.
