Great teacher - He remembers what it is like to be a student - does all he can to help you pass this class
No Comments
He was very dedicated to the students. He offered as much help as possible to all students.
I loved Dr. Blum... He was very helpful!

the quizzes were pretty easy and they can keep your grade on the up and up since he tells you exactly what to study to be ready for the quiz
He's a good community college teacher. He keeps things easy.
Dr. Blum is very nice and a really good teacher of this study. He is difficult but do not let that deter you from taking his class. You walk away with more knowledge and understanding by taking him. Nothings a peice of cake afterall!
He's definitely a good teacher. Very helpful& patient in explaining things. Will take the class time to answer any questions you may have even if he knows they're not going to be on the test. Also his dry sense of humor makes the class more entertaining. I highly recommend him.
Fantastic. Expects you to work and put in the study time but is ALWAYS available to help or explain.
I had failed with other instructors and he was very to the point on what he expected. He is not only a prof but also working in the feild, which i think helps. He expects you to do the work, but you learn alot!
Dr. Blum is an amazing teacher his sense of humor keeps you entertained while you're learning tons of hard information. He takes every questions seriously and does his best to make sure you understand. Ask about his Lehigh parking tickets! it's a great story
Good teacher Is willing to help if you need anything.
Prof Blum is very clear in his lectures about the physiology of the various body systems. His test questions can be tough. Sometimes, one of the choices will be "Two of the above are correct." Oftentimes, this makes you second guess. It helps to memorize the diagrams in the book and the handouts. Dr. Blum is always available before and after class.
Dr. Blum is awesome. He is very funny and a professional person. Extremely helpful and knows everything about the human body. He teaches in a way that students are bound to grasp the concepts. I like totally recommend him, most definitely.
Excellent teacher, extremely intelligent, always willing to help, very motivating. Highly recommended!!
He is an AWESOME lecture teacher!! .. yes sometimes he does ramble on.. but everything he is telling you is useful information.. and make sure you take good notes.. he gives you a packet on everything you should know for each chapter.. a lot of information in 6 weeks but it wasn't to bad if you studied!
I Took him for summer session 1 and it's a lot of info to study in 6 weeks, but with Mr. Blum, it's manageable. He does ramble and makes you stay for the whole 3 hours and 20 minutes, but if you're a dedicated student, you'll do well in his class. highly recommended.
Took him again for summer 2. Passed with a B. Harder than AP1, is more physiology than anatomy. Also, in AP1 - the classes are 50% lec and 50% lab for final grade. In AP2, it's 60%lec and 40% lab. Be sure to pay attention to Dr. Blum all the time. U never know when he will give u a quiz!
good job blummie ole boy!!!!!! keep up the good work!
He is a good instructor but treats you as though you are already an A&P Instructor and not a student.
Dr. Blum is an incredible instructor. He is extremely intelligent and will go out of his way until you know the information he is instructing. His test may be a tab bit hard, but that is because A&P is hard. He keeps you there the whole class period, which is good because you are getting your money’s worth for the class and he also want to make
Dr. Blum is an amazing professor! He will go out of his way to make sure you learn tehinfo you need to know! He is one of those professor who loves what he does, loves teaching students about wat he does and loves seeing his students sucede!
Dr. Blum is a great teacher. He knows his subject, knows how to explain and make subject clear and also has sense of humour. A really nice guy. If you want to pass A+P and also learn it, take Dr. Blum. Top Notch. Always accessible and willing to help students learn.
Dr. Blum has the perfect balance of making sure you learn a lot without overloading you with information
I LOVE THE BLUM! For one thing, this godless and sarcastic fellow makes anatomy that much more interesting just with his dry wit. On top of that he is so clear with his expectations and concepts that although the class is still difficult it is very comprehensible.
His tests are tough!! He tells you what to study and then adds things that he never went over. Overall, he makes class interesting..but he's the only good A&P teacher at LCCC. It's slim pickings. His grading techniques can also be very unfair. I didn't find that he was that helpful but he was willing to listen.
Dr. Blum is The MAN. Easily the best teacher I've ever had. He's a fascinating, enthusiastic teacher who wants his students to succeed. Is approachable, down to earth and just cool. Can also be funny as hell. His tests are not easy, but are based entirely on what's taught in class, so you don't NEED to read the text. Highly recommended!
Dr. Blum is awesome! The way he explains concepts is so great it makes A&P 1 and 2 so much better!
ok prof, but his tests are so tough.
Excellent teacher. He is very entertaining and very knowledgable.
It really doesn't get any better than Dr. Blum. So approachable, genuine, and really wants his students to do well. He's an excellent tutor as well. LCCC's best!
Difficult subject, but a great teacher. Easy on the eyes, too. . .
he is an amazing teacher. he loves the subject and is willing to help his students out. TAKE him for AP1 and 2
He is a great teacher the best for A&P I think. He is funny and really knows his stuff I recommend you take him.
Presents concepts and information in an organized and meaningful way (i.e. not reading from the book) Quizzes are easy points (if you review material regularly). Tests are challenging but doable. Only gripe is he comes to class late, occasionally up to 20 minutes. Can be challenging, but if you're serious about A&P, take him.
absolutely the best a&p teacher. i learned a lot from him. he is always willing to help if you need it. the quizes help if you pay attention during class. tests are a little hard but if you listen to what he says you'll do good. ps. buy a recorder to listen to key points later.
BLUM ROCKS!!! He's one of the best professors at LCCC. Attendence is Mandatory because he gives so many quizzes, but he really tries his hardest to see his students succeed. He grades the tests in a very fair and gracious way. He's super intelligent and hilarous, and will help you if your struggling. He let's it up to how much effort you put fort
Awesome teacher!! Would highly recommend him!
Dr. Blum is an awesome professor. Once you have been taught by him, all other professors at LCCC are lacking! His A&P class is so engaging, interesting, and he is so highly intelligent. Tests are hard, but you can pass if you study. Quizzes are easy points. You will not be disappointed in taking him! He is excellent, helpful, & the best professor!!
Dr. Blum is a very clear concise logical professor. A&P is a difficult subject and he makes the class interesting and makes the material understandable. My solid foundation I got from A&P I & II has served me well in my continuing education and I owe much of what has "stuck" in the years since I took the classes to his amazing teaching style.
Funny
I thought his way of teaching was good, make sure you take notes b/c he uses them on test. He gives quizzes every week and his test are extremely hard. I did not take him for A&P II because I do not like his test or quizzes. Make sure you study alot or you will not pass his class. He relies heavely on textbook, so make sure you take it to class
I have a pretty good understanding of the content in this class and was still beyond lost. Tests are impossible. It was apparent he used a test generator because he often could not answer the questions w/o looking it up. Very hard to follow and confusing.
Dr. Blum is, by far, one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes a very difficult subject (Anatomy and Physiology) fun and interesting, and he has a great sense of humor. I will miss hearing his stories when I'm done with his classes!
Best BIO Teacher!!!
Very clear - identified what you are responsible for.
Mr. Blum is very helpful and knowledgeable. He is a good professor but I find his quizzes were graded unfairly and his tests were very hard. The two of the above portion of the test would kill me.
Dr. Blum is a great teacher. He is helpful, caring, knowledgeable and friendly. You do have to study, but he tells you what you need to review. His tests and quizzes can be tough, but taking the study seriously will help you do well.
Great Professor, had him for a 5 week course where classes were 4 hours. never thought someone could make a 4 hour class fly by but he did, tough tests but on material that was thouroughly covered. Highly recommend PRofessor Blum
Great professor for this kind of course. He is perfect for it. He knows the stuff inside and out and still knows how to teach it to students. Most doctors expect you to know upon entering the class, but Blum understands that is why we are attending his class. I would highly recommend him.
Very cool professor. He's very approachable so if you do not understand a concept, ask. He also promotes using the tutor services. Your success depends on your willingness to learn.
Missed a lot of lecture due to snow. A&P is sometimes difficult but can survive. He was available with office hours, email & text. Big on tutor. Sometimes talk fast but ask. Tutor, study, tutor, study, LISTS...to pass the class.
Had him for 5week summer I. A&P is sometimes difficult but can survive. He was available with office hours, email & text. Big on tutor. Sometimes talk fast but ask. Tutor, study, tutor, study, LISTS...to pass the class.
One of the best professors I ever had. Not only does he teach you the material thoroughly, he teaches you how to do well in the class. So personable as well He even works as a resident tutor in the science room. Beyond that, he officially reviews the textbook he teaches for the publisher to make it as clear to understand as possible.
Dr Blum is a wonderful teacher and person. He is very interested in what he does and enjoys teaching it. But his tests are extremely difficult and tricky. If you have test anxiety, he is not the one to take as your professor.
funny brings subject to life Makes difficult concepts clear Tests are challenging
Excellent professor. Super intelligent. Seems to enjoy teaching and A&P. Actually teaches, doesn't stand up front reading power points or textbook. You need to study and study more to do well.
He is a great teacher. Very personable and applies everyday occurrences or stories to a concept which helps to learn the topic. Gives a "Student Learning Objectives" sheet in the syllabus and that maps out exactly what he expects you to learn, rather than reading 300 pages and not knowing exactly what/how much you really need to know.
I had Dr Blum for AP1 & again for AP2 b/c I loved his teaching style. He's very informative and keeps it interesng. I never read the book. I use the notes he provides in class. The weekly quizzes are helpful because it forces you to learn in small increments. The tests aren't easy but they are passable. This is anatomy, after all.
Dr Blum is an amazing professor. Took him for AP1&2 as did most students. He teaches you what you need to know. Not only does he have office hours, he's one of the only professors in the tutoring center quite frequently. Weekly 3-min quizzes (literally) that he reviews for prior to giving. Take-home quizzes, easy 100%.
Test are impossible form Horrible professor I don't recommended him , quizzes are terrible , we are attending simple class not medical school don't take him
Don't take him, if u enroll go back and switch him I don't recommend to take him u semester is going to be horrible
Prof Blum is by far the best professor I have ever had. He is very engaging and knows SO much about his subject! If you have a question, he can answer it. He literally tells you the ANSWERS TO THE QUIZZES before you take them! How are people failing them?? The tests are fair and he is always more than willing to help any student out. Great prof!!
Blum is an amazing professor. I took him for both A&P I and II this past summer. It was an overwhelming amount of material to cover in ten weeks but Blum is great at teaching. He truly understands the information and is able to teach it well. Exams can be difficult but you need to study! He teaches from the book so you know what to expect for exams
An Intense course but he is an awesome professor! He has a great sense of humor and is very straight forward. Was rarely bored. If you pay attention and study hard you will get the A. He tells you exactly what will be on tests and quizzes. There are frequent 3-minute quizzes which he reviews before you take and 4 test along with a cumulative final
Dr. Blum is an awesome person. He has a great sense of humor and it very personable. However, he is just too smart to be a professor. He teaches in a way that concepts are too over your head to grasp. His tests are impossible. I loved the guy but he was just too hard and at the end of the day its not the nice professor but the grade that counts.
very smart and tests are very hard. Do not take this class during summer.
Blum is an amazing professor. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does. Tests are hard, but if you study the material you'll be fine. He also gives quizzes every now and then, but he tells you EXACTLY whats on the quiz right before you take it. Will be taking him for A&P 2!
Amazing teacher. Probably the best I've ever had. So helpful. Makes class fun. Would recommend for sure.
Professor Blum is a great professor but don't expect an easy A in his class. He makes you work for it. My biggest advice is STUDY! There is a ten point quiz at the end of almost every class, but they are simple if you pay attention. The tests are also very hard. All in all he is a great prof and Ill be taking him again.
His tests are brutal. I did well for the most part but there was one exam that everyone was talking about regarding how amazingly difficult it was. People complained about doing badly on the quizzes. I don't understand that because I did well on the quizzes and if you paid attention and studied, you should be fine on them. Lecture interesting.
Tests are incredibly hard, He gives you a massive amount of info and then one or two questions on a quiz. I also thought he was very full of himself.
Blum is excellent at what her does. He is very intelligent and knows his stuff. He is very fair but makes you really work for your grade. If you are lazy, consider a different professor bc this class requires lots of work. I had him for A&P 1 and now A&P 2 . I definitely recommend his classes. Team Blum! :-)
Dr. B is awesome!! He gives a 10 point quiz at almost every class but goes over everything on the quiz before you take it. He will help you out anyway he can. He's always telling jokes and trying to make it as easy as he can to learn things. You need to study. Not an easy A but definitely can be possible! Would love to take him again!!!
Dr. Blum does a fantastic job at clarifying A&P, a very tough subject; however, his tests are challenging. He really focuses on Physiology more for his test questions, so make that textbook your best friend, because he teaches straight from it. Easy quizzes and homework given to boost your grade. Cancels class too much, which can put you behind.
Love Dr. Blum, best professor I have ever had! He is interesting and makes A&P understandable. His lectures are thorough. He gives 10 point quizzes each class. Exams are fair. He gives detailed learning objectives on what you are expected to know.
Amazing, funny, engaging--everything I wanted in a teacher. I hadn't been to school in 10 years and I have an A+. Every test you will get between 5-10 "free" points. He will not curve, which is good since the vast majority of the class usually passes exams. If you understand the study objectives, you will do great.
I loved Dr. Blum! He is so knowledgeable. He is there for you if you take advantage of his office hours. This is not an easy class. His tests are hard! I still managed to do well in the class but you better be prepared to study your butt off. His lectures were fast-paced and full of information but essential to understanding the material.
He was the best professor ever. Such an interesting man. He's super smart, maybe genius level but he really wants his students to understand the material. Some people I talked to thought he was arrogant. I completely disagree. I went to his office hours and he is caring, helpful and reasonable. He respects students. I miss his class.
LOVED Dr. Blum. Profoundly inspired by his intelligence and respect towards all students. Don't expect to fly by doing nothing in this class- quizzes each class keep you on your toes, definitely do the (mandatory) online homework. Great humor & lectures- pay attention in class! there's a point to everything he says. Would definitely take again
This guy is a phenomenal professor. I took A&P I with him, none the less accelerated and passed with a B-, which considering I got a D the first time is a major improvement. His lectures are amazing and he presents the information in a format that you can understand. If you don't, he will take a different approach until you get it. Take him!
His lectures are great! He is very clear cut and precise and really makes you understand the material. The tests are tough, mainly because the questions are worded different from the way he teaches, but you can still manage to get a good grade. Definitely recommend him.
I failed the first time taking his class but he is very nice and flexes the grades. Anatomy is a hard class to take but I really enjoyed him and I'm retaking his class this summer.
He's very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic and his subject. Pay attention in lecture because what he talks about is what he tests on. He doesn't expect you to memorize the book but rather understand the general concepts to be applied overall. It's not an easy class but work hard and it'll pay off!
Dr. Blum is the man! Loved both anatomy I and II with him. He is funny, charismatic, and a very knowledgeable and approachable instructor. He has 2 degrees totaling around 16 years of college. He knows his stuff! Pick his brain and you will learn a ton! This class is a lot of studying and work if you want the A. Pay attention, commit and study!
Fantastic, enthusiastic and so knowledgeable. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat. He knows his material and when you're done with his course, so will you. Lectures are fabulous, could listen to him talk for hours. Gives outlines for chps so you know what to expect.
He makes sure you get a thorough understand and predicts test wuestions so you are never surprised. He cares more about your educTion than grade .
One of the best professors I have had. Makes class enjoyable. Easy to get ahold of and responds back in a decent amount of time. Answers any question in class clearly.
He is a great teacher. He will go over info many times and he makes it interesting. He will make you laugh and he really cares that you succeed in his class. His tests are hard, but if you take good notes in class you won't need to use your book much. A&P is a tough class, but he made it fun and I think I did well due to his teaching.
Let's face it, lectures are boring but Blum does everything he can to keep you on your feet with his single punch lines and stories. He hands out his personal phone number to make himself easily accessible. Exams are tough but you'd be surprise. I would absolutely enroll again.
Hes a great professor. He makes A&P really interesting. He is very respectful and really cares about the students learning the material. Hes funny and a cool professor. I would take him again definitely
He has been teaching this course for more than 50 times. He really knows the material and can teach it well. Since he teaches this course multiple times a semester, you can attend to another class if you miss a lecuture or quiz. He gives out quizez alot so you must attend to most of his classes. Good at what he does and I definitely recommend him
Hes a tough professor, but a really amazing one. He knows his stuff, and cares about your success. Theres a lot of tests and quizzes, and they can be really tough so studying is mandatory. However, if you do your hw itll help you in the end. He flexes grades on tests to help everyone out and easy to talk to. Even lets you text him if you have ?s
He was an amazing Professor! I am currently taking A&P 2 with a different Professor and honestly, I wish I wouldve had him again. Professor Blum really explains the material really well. He is funny, very respectful and cares about his students success.
Great!!
Professor Blum is amazing. He REALLY knows his stuff since he's an actively practicing chiropractor. He's easily accessible outside of the classroom and very approachable. I had him online for Pathophysiology and it wasn't so great, but in person he's amazing. If I could take him for all of my bio classes, I would choose him every time.
I am glad I took his class. I found the course to be challenging but in a good way. There are weekly quizzes, unit exams, and a final exam. There is also weekly homework. It may seem like a lot to take in but it did help with understanding the concepts. I would definitely take him again.
I love Mr. Blum! I took him for both A&P 1&2. His lectures are so fun because he knows how to joke and teach at the same time. Hes so easy to talk to and cares a lot about his students. Hes amazing and i would take him over and over again. I highly recommended. His tests arent easy but you have to study (obviously youre in college.) he curves!
I really enjoyed Dr Blum's classes. Although it is a difficult class, he made it enjoyable and easy to understand. He gives quizzes every week however if you do well the bump your grade. He grades very fair and enjoys teaching.
OVERALL, HE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR. HE GIVES A LOT OF QUIZZES AND HIS TESTS ARE EXTREMELY HARD. DO NOT SKIP CLASS, SINCE YOU WILL MISS A LOT OF MATERIAL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO A SUMMER COURSE WITH HIM. HE DOES JUMP AROUND A LOT, BUT HE HAS A REASON FOR WHY HE DOES IT AND EXPLAINS THE MATERIAL VERY WELL. HE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR AND ENTERTAINING.
Makes A & P simpler that I thought!
Alothough I was a mess durning my first A&P class I did pass with a B!!! His test are tough but he does go over everything he does, took me some time to figure it out because Im a overthink and his test are multiple choice. I did enjoy his lectures and buying a recorder help me with my studies.. I am taking him again this coming semester for A&P2!
The first few tests were tough. He's very specific about certain details (costal vs. hyaline, for example). About halfway, though, I began to learn how he tested and graded. I was able to predict what the quizzes would be on and what details would be on the test. Many of his later assignments are easy A's, but the early material is a challenge.
I liked this professor he always emailed you back within 48 hours, keeps you up to date on assignments, great course layout for time management, very respectful, has a sense of humor, understanding. Cons timed tests in short amounts of time, lots of work to do. I would recommend him overall.
Super hard professor if you take him online your basically your own teacher. His quizzes & exams are times you get less than a minute per question. Would not recommend him to anyone. Lots of homework online & hand written
Hes not bad, in fact, the thing I liked the most is that you work at your own pace. Tests were really hard, and only gave you 15 minutes to answer 30-45 questions. Not simple questions, but A&P questions. That was the only annoying part, plus the homework. Get ready for 250+ questions of homework every week, plus another 100 from class work.
I took an online class, and I did not enjoy it at all. This professor has timed quizzes and tests, which are less than a minute per question. That's ridiculous! I do not recommend him at all, and I wont retake him. We don't need more stress and anxiety in our lives. I used to love biology, but not anymore after him.
Worst professor Ever. Makes you hand write EVERYTHING. If you have an injury or inability to write you must jump through hoops to be able to type it. He is then biased against you and will give you a 0 because he claims you must have cheated, then go on to give you a perfect score on a quiz you didnt even finish. Dont take this professor!
I DO NOT recommend. Be ready to write (NOT TYPED!!) pages and pages and pages (sometimes up to 20). Be ready to spend a huge amount of time on reading your chapters and know EVERYTHING because his quizzes are 25-30 questions and only gives 15 minutes or so and they aren't open book.
Don't waste your time unless you want to spend hours writing 15 pages papers worth 10 points. Not allowed to take any exams until your online assignments and papers are done. Otherwise, it would be a 0.
Don't take him.
Ok, 100% honest review do not take him unless you have to! He is very nice and funny, but he gives a TON of work! You have to write min 10 pages for a 10pt quiz assignment multiple times a week, handwritten. Hw is super easy, but doesn't do much to your grade. He gives you less then 1 min per question on exams, super hard. Avoid him if possible!
Horrible professor. Insane amount of homework that doesn't help you learn the material. Tests are timed ridiculously. Extremely obvious that Prof. Blum does not care about his students.
Class is vocab based. 1 week is given for each chapter, to read and memorize all vocab for the whole chapter-definitely not enough time for the amount of vocab in each chapter. Very set in his ways and didn't believe me when I told him McGraw website glitched and lost my assignment progress. Definitely wouldn't recommend this professor.
Dr. Blum is a a concise lecturer who knows the material extremely well. Tests and grades are very fair. Lectures are anything but boring, since he relates material to real life and fun stories as well. He does a wonderful job of putting together a picture of what the anatomy and physiology of the human body is.
Do not take this professor if you do not have to. Very hard and does not care about students grades, when you reach out to him about things he offers little to no advice as a teacher. Just tells you to go get a tutor. 60 questions tests with 45 minute time limit. 45 seconds per question? Setting his students up for failure.
The time limit on the exams is very unnecessary, especially because of students with anxiety. This course should NOT be offered over the summer especially accelerated. If you take this course over the summer, prepare yourself for no freedom at all and constantly writing notes and studying. Smart prof, bad set up of class.
I took Prof Blum over the summer for AP1, I absolutely loved it! I only had one class that summer semester so it was super easy to study.
In person class! When you read through the reviews here, make sure to differentiate between his online reviews versus his in person lecture. I did the six week summer class with him and like any A&P class it was a lot of material. He breaks it down and makes it digestible. He makes the material relatable. I plan to take A&P II in person with him.
Great professor. There is a quiz every class except for when there is a test. He reviews before each quiz so as long a s you pay attention you'll be fine. Gives a good curve of at least 5% on every test. Only bad thing was 3 70-100 question home works per unit but you are given plenty of time to finish as long as you pace yourself.
Homework Needs to be handwritten. His lecture power points don't open until you have written out the 10 pages and after you answered the 80-question homework. In the exams, he gives you ONLY 45 Seconds to answer the question. It takes me about 45 seconds just to read and understand the question. He is HORRIBLE and I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Engaging lectures that make the material digestible. Use Unstuck AI, the textbook, and study groups to stay on top of the workload. Exam time limits can be challenging, but overall a helpful professor.
Take Dr. B in person. He makes difficult material easy to understand by using real life scenarios to compare it to. If I could have him for every class in college, I would. His class is not boring by any means. He is my favorite teacher I ever had. His overall disposition got me excited to be on my new path! I will be taking A&P2 with him!
