Pretty easy going, class is very challenging. Buy the study guide it will help if you decided to take his class. We had quizes every week, two big exams, and a cumlative final. The exams covered 5 chapter blocks. A lot of info to know at one time!

Great Instructor. Exams are little hard but definitely give everyone lot of extra credit work. quizzes every week and one semester project. Definitely not a easy subject but really liked his way of teaching. Good sense of humor.

he is very knowlegdable on accounting. if you show an interest & put forth effort in the class he will help you as much as possible. He will particapate in study groups during his office hours.Is not a professional teacher which is both good & bad. His online classes are very hard.

Great and very knowledgeable teacher. He provides interesting information in the real world of accounting, not just those from textbook. Exams are little bit tough but you can afford to pass the class with an A if you study. Try his class.

Soft-spoken, articulate, and seems very kind. Has a very pleasant demeanor. All around likeable fellow. Knows his stuff, and has given me much financial food for thought. With a quick perusal of the chapter before test day, you can easily pass his tests if you listened in class and took notes.

This was a great class! I learned so much about how I can save and make my money work for me. If you attended class, the tests are a piece of cake (you really do not even need the book). The investing section was a little tough, but the information given gives you a basic knowledge of how to invest. He really knows his stuff! Highly recommend!

Just finished the class & was very surprised. Expected small bus recordkeeping to be dull, but it turned out to be the best class I ever took. No textbook. Instructor was knowledgeable and kept the class interesting. I have taken several of these small business classes and this was the best. I highly recommend this teacher for this class.

He is tough, but fair. Accounting subjects require precision and discipline, and he expects that from students. He tells you what he wants and gives you the tools to be successful, but you must be willing to do the work to get a good grade. The book was good; the non-book materials were not so good. Not an easy A, but a good learning experience.

Great teacher and an extremely fun and easy going class. Just do the homework, financial plan, articles and participate in all class sessions you can get a high 'B' or 'A' , and only negative are the test they are pretty tough but still a great class where everyone is involved all the time in the class discussions.

The best way to learn any subject is through someone who has done it most of their life.I took his class a year ago and just remembered how AWESOME he was.I'm shocked at some of the things people wrote about him.For all the jerks that said something negative about him or his teaching,in my opinion,he is one of the best instructors I've ever had.

Great teacher, always helpful to me & other students I saw. I worked hard but learned alot. Tests are tuff, but he is clear about what is on them. We had a bunch of cheaters who asked me to help them cheat. I told the teacher - prior post sounds like he did something. If you want to cheat you wont like him but cheaters shouldnt become accountants.

Great teacher - very clear - I knew exactly what was expected. He was always available and helpful, spending whatever time I needed outside of class. LOVED the fraud stuff - best part of class. Do the work, get an A. Previous posters must be the washouts, cause everyone I talked to whi finished liked the teacher.

Knows the subject matter, interesting lecturer, has experience in the field and is successful in his field. Tests are mostly from his lectures.

Pretty straight forward class. Formulas can be tough but he grades them very favorably - sometimes extra credit if you can get the formuals to work.

Very helpful, will spend as much time as you want, will even come to campus to meet you on his time off. He even found a job for me!

This was probably the best class I ever took. Learned a bunch that will help me. Teacher was always available and helpful and flexible - even extended a number of deadlines for the class. Easy A too.

I just finish this class. Govment acconting very strange, make it hard for me. Teacher try very hard to make simple. If you do what he ask you will get good grade even if you strugle with language like me. Very fair grader. My grade better than I expect.

This was the first time for this class at ARC. Class was everything I hoped it would be. Relaxed environment with everyone involved. Weekly online quizzes are easy enough. No tests! Teacher was knowledgable and helpful. Getting a good grade was easy, but more important is I learned a lot of what to do and not to do when investing.

Online Course - Do the work and he is fair. Will not tolerate plagiarism. The online quizzes were easy/from the textbook & online book. Grades the discussion board-choose the hard questions for more points. Final worth 40% of grade-gives extra points for thorough answers on essay. Very controlled schedule - won't let you work ahead. Very tough!

Final is tough but his study guide tells you exactly what is on the test. As somoen else said he wont put up with plagiarism, but come on - that's just lazy cheating. If you follow the program its an easy A.

I took his online class and had to *gasp* study hard! Come on folks, this is COLLEGE. If you need hand holding get a tutor! The guy must have hundreds of students a semester, he can't cater to every students 'needs'. Get real. Try studying instead of blaming him for not getting back to you. Good luck in real world, your gonna need it.

Great class, exceeded my expectations. I took the class for personal interest & didn't care much about the grade. But it's an easy A if you care about grades.

Online class pretty straight forward - everyone seemed happy with prof - not sure why some bonehead is repeatdly posting negs on the prof, but its prob just one loser. This prof is cool - even taught our class for free so it would not be cancelled.

I was hoping for a QuickBooks class, but this online class used Peachtree. Make sure to read teacher's PowperPoint slides - they correct some issues in the text. Teacher was pretty quick to respond to e-mail. Good class to work around my busy schedule.

I like my professor a lot! I didn't like the book that we used because it had incorrect data often and maybe little bit clearer info on what should be turned in. But other than that I love the class.

I am a visually impaired so I take my tests at DSPS and someone reads tests to me. Usually some impatient student who won't go back and forth for me. I don't do well on tests. Diamond offered to be my test reader and I did very well. I am so grateful for a teacher that gives more than expected.

I took his payroll class online and I would suggest if you do this, then you need to carry a light load of classes.Class is difficult. I had a 4.9 GPA prior and I got a C in this class. Make sure your answers are in the correct format on the tests. don't forget commas or digits after decimal points. I got answers right but was marked wrong.

typical online class-about as tough as other high-lvl acc classes. online quizzes are ez if you prepare you will know most questions & answers before taking it. write things in your words-dont copy or he dings you for 'playgarizing'. study guide for final told about half of final questions. wanted online final but it is on paper at the college

Professor Diamond is a good instructor. You receive the grade you earned and you will work for it. This is not a seat time class. His class will challenge you. I would take him again for other accounting classes.

Final was tough, but study guide and exam review session was good. He apparently regraded the final to raise scores. Grades were fair. I never read the book and probably should have gotten a B. But I hear some cheaters & plagaryzers brought down the curve so I got an A. Woot! For once the cheaters got nailed and I got a better grade!

Quizes are ez if you prep. Many questions are from text website where you also get the answers. Other qestions from back of chapter & you can look up answers before taking quiz. Do a little prep and quizes r a breeze. M/C Q's on final seem to be from the same sources. EZ if you prep smart, hard if ya dont. Wont put up with cheating, otherwise

I needed help & teacher gave me a lot of his time including meeting me on a Saturday. Very accomodating of my needs.

I went to class, put in about 2 hours a week at home, then about 20 hours on a semester project, and got an A. Plenty of extra credit, clear, and helpful. Tough material, easy nice-guy teacher. Don?t cheat and you will do fine. I did have lazy peeps in my group and I guess they got a bad grade and want the world to know about it. wah-wah

He is very knowledgeable and very hard. His study guides are not helpful. He does spend time talking about his "real-world" days but usually to illustrate a point. He will help if you ask and will work with you if you work with him. Overall, a good professor. I think many of the comments are the way they are because he is tough.

I've had this prof for several classes. In some the materials is hard, in others it is easy. It's really the material, not the teacher. I agree he is very helpful for the class if you ask. I know several students he found jobs for. Gives reference letters, job contacts, resume reviews. Whatever you need. But you gotta do your part in class

Weekly quizzes, learned alot. Just do the work and I guess most of us got an A. He requires that we interview a CPA. I was nervous about that, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. I recommend the class.

Whew, needed this class for a promotion and got through it OK. Godd stuff, teacher was quick to respond to e-mails and discussion boards, grading was fair, and study guide for final exam was right on (make sure to use it). Bad stuff, I'm not sure online classes are for me.

Very easy going. Not mandatory to attend class, though you might miss out on xtra cdt. Quizzes r online. Quizzes and exams are mostly trick ?'s so I could't ace an exam even though I always ace exams, but at the end of class he had us write down the grade we think we deserve and why. I got my A!!! If you want an easy teacher for Bus 320, take him.

Pretty typical online class. Do your work and you will be fine. Met with Prof several times...very available and helpful. You need to work in this class, not for lazies.

what surprised me the most was that the teach was willing to meet me on his days off to help. never had a teach willign to do that before. really seemed to want me to succeed. once u figur out how class works u will do well. just stick to the program

Agree with the last post. Prof was very available and helpful. Material is not easy, but prof really seems to want students to succeed. Ask for help if you need it. Definitely attend any study groups he is at. Especially helped for the final.

This class is this guy's pet project. His grading policy is ridiculous (40% of your grade is the final), and the final has 25 multi-choice (HARD) questions that are mostly trivia AND they are 8 points each. Don't take this from him -- your GPA will suffer.

Most helpful online teacher I have had. Answers e-mail pretty fast. I could not get to his office hours, so he met with me several times at my convenience. Did not expect that. Not an easy class, but do your part and and you will do fine.

Very hard

This is the second semester I have had prof. Diamond and both semester and incident has come up. Prof. Diamond was extremely reasonable with both situations. It is my belief that he is a wonderful teacher.

Tests pretty easy. There is a group projct.

As mentioned below, teacher did have us re-do the final project. Two dips in my group copied their part from the internet and we almost got a zero. Fortuantely the teacher let us re-do it. This is why I hate groups.

Took Payroll and Peachtree (341)w/him almost 2 yrs ago. You either do well or bad on tests-there is rarely inbetween. Need to know material comprehensively so if you have any q's ask. I got help w/issues I had for 341 and got an A. Payroll I did bad on 2 and good on 2 tests, and I attribute this to not getting help like I did for other class.

Professor Diamond is a great professor. His classes are not easy and he expects you to do your own work and apply yourself. His expectations are clear and easily obtainable if you follow directions and show up.

Covers majority of info for essays on midterms & finals in the first classes -same in Gov Acct & Auditing. Lectures for this class were VERY Interesting. Presented material by weaving it into real world situations and stories. Class period 50 min. TOO SHORT! Felt rushed. Not enough time to hear from other classmates or for discussions/questions.

Professor Diamond is a very knowledgeable, he does care about his students and brings real life examples to lecture. I will admit his Exams (which consists of 2) and weekly quizzes are difficult so do your homework & readings. I highly suggest you explore other options before you enroll with this Professor.

Prof Diamond's Gov Accounting 153 was very challenging. Prof Diamond was helpful with powerpoint slides and was clear with in-class exercise and exam expectations. No surprises on the test. The textbook was not user-friendly. Class was partially on-line with discussion groups. Online quizzes were tough. Heavy homework and reading.

Although this course is very difficult, Professor Diamond spared no effort to ensure that we could understand his class. His dedication is admirable and his willingness to help is amazing. Without a doubt one of the best teachers I ever had. The truth is that if you are willing to do your part, he is willing to reward you for your effort.

Lazy students, don't take. If you want to learn and put the effort into the class, you'll get the grade you want for any class he teaches. Most people take these classes to prepare for the CPA exam. Although he may seem like he has an ego, he is very accessible and willing to talk/help students out. Loved ALL the classes I've taken with him.

Excellent instructor. You must do your own work in his classes and work hard. Participate, engage, and give your best work and you will do well. Fair, knowledgeable and fun. Enjoyed the discussions!

Tough class online! The syllabus and schedule can get you a solid B, but if you want an A go above and beyond in all the assignments. Closed book comprehensive final was tough! If you are good at working hard and putting in the effort you will do great in any of his courses! Thank you Professor!

One of the most amazing teachers I have ever personally taken. He has such a passion for teaching and will give you all the materials you need to pass the class. Attendance is mandatory. Some of his test are hard, but you will leave the class knowing your stuff if you take him! A+++++++

Very good and knowledgeable teacher. Do the work and you get the A. The quizzes are easy if you study. You have to do a lot of research and you learn a lot. It is a fun class overall. I recommend this teacher.

I absolutely loved his class. He was extremely helpful in and outside of class - his class was a high point of my week and the subject matter was very interesting. I especially appreciated the effective methods of teaching kinisthetic learners - a true rarity in accounting classes. Only caveat: follow the rules to the letter, he can be unforgiving.

Easy class if you can get a hang of journalizing transactions and filling out the financial statements early in the class. Use the study guide and don't bother reading the book except for bolded terms and the ratios. Go to class and do the group work. You MUST do the assignments. Passing is nearly impossible without those points.

I took Professor Diamond pervously in his auditing course online and I didnt care much for his teaching method. So when I enrolled in another one of his courses I was worried that I wouldn't like him again. To my surprise he is alot different in person. He was very helpful and passionate about accounting. I would take one of his classes again

Great guy. Very knowledgeable. But strict as can be. He wouldn't let me submit an assignment because it was literally a minute late, but I get his logic, he would never hear the end of excuses if he broke this rule. I'm taking him for two more classes in the fall if that says anything. Yeah you write a lot in 361, so make sure you have a good comp.

This was my second class with him. I really enjoy how organized he is. I took this class online, but it was very structured, which was nice. Pretty simple class in terms of getting the grade you want. The more you study, the better you do. The quizzes and exams are comprehensive, but no real trick questions.

Very mellow personality, knows the subject matter. The course is based on readings, 1 page analysis of each reading, participation in discussion about the readings, quizzes, and group projects. I enjoyed his ethics class. He lets the students be in charge of the class discussion with games and freedom to voice your opinion about the content.

I was afraid of taking his Ethics class from all the reviews. Honestly I'm very happy I went with my gut. This class was easy and not stressful at all. If you do your homework early because it does require a lot of writing, reading, and taking the weekly quiz you will pass this class. This was my favorite class for fall 2015. He is very helpful.

Hybrid class, half online & meeting once a week. Diamond used what he called a flipped approach - study the book & online lecture, take a quiz, do HW, & then come to class for an exercise, discussion, and some lecture. He tells you a week in advance exactly about the class exercise. He is clear & organized, but government accounting is very odd.

So I took him for Gov Acct & dropped him, & dreaded taking him for Ethics. However, this class was so easy! Every week, write a paper about 1.5 pages and as long as it has some critical thinking, you'll get 100%. Quizzes were a harder because they were about deatils of cases. Points for coming to class and one group presentation in the semester.

Auditing is tough. A lot of theory, not really the number-crunching I prefer. Teacher was clear about expectations, organized, gave feedback on homework and discussions which helped my grade. He was helpful online, but better in person. You need to do a couple of minor tasks mid-week, with the bigger stuff due at the end of the weekend.

The professor posted grades today. Overall grades looked pretty good. I got an A, but that was also the most common grade. Tough material. Complicated payroll laws. He gave extra credit every week for posting more chat than required, then a big extra credit project in the last week. He was active in discussions and replied quickly to e-mails.

The quizzes are difficult, but the other assignments are more straightforward. He will give you extra credit on assignments if you do a good job. The reading is heavy at the start of the semester, but gets better. The CPA interview assignment was interesting. He's fair and straightforward. I'm hoping for A, but may get high B

I loved this class - one of the best ever. It is different from other accounting classes and involved a lot of case studies, discussion, and class involvement. Most of the people I talked to got an A. Teacher cared about the subject and issues and was very accessible outside of class.

I only took auditing because it was required for a promotion. The class has a lot of concepts, but I prefer more numbers, balancing, etc. The teacher was much more active and available in this online class than other classes I took. If you do what he recommends you will already know some of the quiz questions & answers, and get a good grade.

Good and clear Prof. if you do the assignments as he lists them they are easy, quizzes are the exact types of problems as hw, only much less time. They weren't hard, just had trouble getting them done in time. Have to make sure you master it before taking the quiz.

Taken him for a few online classes, he's always been helpful and clear in what he expects. The online classes are basically just textbook reading, weekly quiz, and weekly discussion. Since he assigns so much reading every week you can't just lookup the answers in the book, it's too much to go through. You have to do the work to pass. Great Prof
