Awsome Prof, he's funny and easy to talk too. Makes coming to class fun, one of the few classes I looked forward too. He's very clear in explaining concepts, take the class with him you won't regret it.
Great Proff!! quizzes are easy, especially if you show up to class. Pay attention and you will do great. Would recommend this proff to any business law students.
Great Prof! so far he has been my favorite professor in university. He is very nice, helpful, and reasonable in the way he teaches and makes class enjoyable and fun. I highly recommend Rob Malach.
great prof, very helpful, his lecture notes are really good
Great prof. He keeps you interested in the material and provides examples that make rather ambiguous concepts easy to understand and remember. They should hire full-time already!
rob is an awesome professor! he is really funny and teaches the material in a simple way. i highly recommend taking this class with him instead of with his wife sandra!
I would agree with all of the comments below. Rob is awesome! You would be crazy if you had a chance to take BSEN395 with him and didn't. He's the nicest prof. I've ever had and always approachable. The only bad thing is that he's not a full-time prof. and works during the day so his classes are usually late. Other than that, take his class!
Excellent. Shame he had to leave half way through the semester due to illness. If you can, take any class with him! Brilliant
The nicest man! Knows the subject, and how to most effectively teach it to students. Always funny, respectful and approachable!
He's so cute!! =) Definitely take this course with him!
Rob has a passion for teaching Law. You can see that in every lecture. Cares about his students, always supportive, and very funny at times. Loved being in his class.
Rob is an AMAZING professor. For a business law class I actually wanted to come to class because he was hilarious, and made the material interesting. The tests were hard, but Rob was approachable if you ever needed help. Genuinely cares that his students do well. Most caring prof i've ever had.
Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He's excellent at lecturing and he truly cares if his students get the material. The material is very interesting and his sense of humor makes it better. Very approachable and helpful. The course is difficult and the textbook is needed, but he makes it a great course. Awesome professor.
He genuinely wants his students to do well. His notes weren't that great, but his study guides were extremely helpful.
I took this class in spring and he made it intersting and made you actually want to do good. He understands the students' situation and that it's a hard/dry course. If you have a choice, choose him.
Actually the best professor I had ever had. Its rare to find a professor that likes to teach this much. He seems like he has a great time which is refreshing in a prof. He conveys his lessons clearly and with his amazing examples to demonstrate his points the class is esay to understand and like I said pretty darn fun!
He is the best! Funny and nice!He makes this dry course so much easier.Always encourage you and ready to help. He truly wants you to get what you wanna know and pass! You need to attend the review class and get your 1 piece assistant sheet ready and you are ready to go. Just take his course and enjoy!
Awesome professor! he makes everything very easy to understand, and also makes it interesting. I would say he is one of the best professors I've had.
Rob is the best! He is funny and very genuine. This is not an easy class but he makes the class interesting and tries his best to assist students. Attending class is recommended and DO NOT skip the review classes.
The marking done for the midterm was very questionable as with the final exam (not very timely getting the grades I might add.) The only thing available was a "running weighted total" and the final exam marks weren't even posted in an attempt to hide the seedy methods of grading! AVOID THIS PROF!
Everyone I'm talking to about this class is coming up 12% to 25% short of what they expected on the final. This happened with the midterm too. The only justification for not properly handling that were his promises the final would go better. That has not been the case. What the hell is going on here?
Awesome prof for sure! There is alot of reading in this class and it is mostly memorization. I recommend taking this class in the Spring/Summer. The tests were all MC and a good portion of the final was true/false questions.
Filled in for Norm for the first half of the course, and I am so glad he did. He loves what he does and exerts enthusiasm that makes every class fun and exciting. One of my most inspirational profs, really gave me an insight into the business world, and gave everyone in class confidence. Smart, fun, understanding, a perfect prof. Thanks Rob! You ro
Simply the best
Such a wicked and nice Prof. Rob loves what he does and goes out of his way to treat EVERYONE with respect and make all his students feel comfortable.
Rob is the best prof I have ever had. He will go out of his way to help you or your project group. He treats students with enormous amounts of respect and it shows by the way students treat him. I would highly recommend Rob to everyone taking this course. The final and the midterm are tough but fair. If you read this Rob thanks for all the help.
Rob does a pretty good job at simplifying law into normal language. He's a nice guy, and very helpful both in class and outside of class. His examples are a little boring, but they get the point across. Rob is pretty much the exact opposite of his wife. Take BSEN395 with him
Professor Malach was exactly the kind of professor I'd hoped all of them would be. Extremely helpful whenever approached. Course isn't too hard if you keep attending classes and just read the chapters after or before. Had him for the first hald of the year (before midterm). Best class all year.
alright, i have a bone to pick with this course, but as far as rob is concerned...he's a great prof, sense of humor, easy to deal with, enthusiastic, and he seems to care.
Best teacher I've ever had.
Great prof! Super nice and helpful and unlike many other profs, he was sympathetic and understanding of many different circumstances. I highly recommend taking any class with him.
LOVED this class. Rob is an extremely nice guy and knows how to deliver the material effectively. Midterm and final was MC and short answer - non cumulative. Group project was very very easy. GO TO HIS MIDTERM/FINAL REVIEW CLASS... there's a good chance that the material he reviews will be on the exam. Great prof, very passionate.
Rob has his quirks, which is why he and Sandra are meant for one another. The final and midterm marking can be unfair due to point distribution and TA marking, but the curve greatly helps. His review classes are what save you as they outline, in detail, everything to be covered in examination. He's one of the three BSEN profs so gotta deal,
Malach is a sweet guy with an adorable laugh and explains the topics by incorporating his life stories. You don't need to go to the classes but make sure you go to the review class. He advises you to preread the material because it helps.. and because it's true. Midterm and final was fair, although the marking scheme wasn't that great.
He is a great guy. This was a mandatory course which I had no interest in taking and he made it into my favourite course. Textbook was unnecessary, just go to his lectures. He tells great stories and makes you understand things easily
Absolutely amazing. The first prof i have had that truly cares about how we feel in the class, as well as how well we do! Cheat sheets for midterm and final are an extremely helpful study tool! My favorite prof to date!
Love love love prof malach. He is helpful about any class material and is a great guy to have around campus. His laugh is contagious
Really cares for his students but unfortunately, his wife has a lot of say over the exams so all his lectures bombed the midterm. Attend the review sessions since he will tell you exactly what will and will not be tested. Tells a lot of stories to make concepts relatable to class material
Best professor I've ever had in my 3 years at University and my favorite. Funny, enthusiastic, and he made it my favorite class for the term so time actually passed pretty quickly. His class notes are good, when making your cheat sheets you can pretty much just copy his class notes onto it and then use the textbook to clarify a few things better
Best teacher I have ever had in University. Super passionate about the students learning. Very fair in the way he teaches and does a great job of what I thought would be a boring class, one of the best I have ever had. A true example of what a great teacher is.
Love Malach, incredible prof, his class is very clear, very concise, great speaker, has great stories, the course material is dull, but a good prof is able to move past that and deliver some very interesting classes, and good messages, and Rob does that, would reccommend everyone who does BSEN 395 to take a class with him
I'm really going to miss this class. Rob was probably the most amazing prof I have ever had. He totally got my attention into something I had little interest in prior to the class. He swears a lot when he explains things which definitely made class entertaining. He truly wants his students to do well now and in the future.
Rob is quite possibly one of the best educators I have encountered at the U of C. It's rare to see a prof this knowledgeable who cares so much about students and how well the material is communicated. He really seems to want everyone to succeed and it shows in the quality of the instruction.
Rob is an amazing prof! He made the class so interesting and he truly wanted all his students to do well. He was extremely respectful to students and was willing to answer any and all questions. Be sure to attend his review classes before the midterm and final.
Such a nice guy! You learn a lot in course! you're allowed an aid sheet for the midterm and final, but after studying, you don't even need them. Attending the review classes before the midterm and final are a must! Tells you exactly what you need to know to succeed on the exam. Lots of information in the class, but he makes the class enjoyable
Excellent prof!! His teaching is clear and understanding course material is easy with the way he teaches! Would definitely recommend taking the course with him!
Rob was okay ... his notes are kind of messy/disorganized though, so just read the textbook. He's hilarious though, and makes the class not as boring. Midterm/final didn't seem hard, but were marked very harshly.
Rob is an amazing professor! He wants all his students to succeed, and gives us all the necessary tools to do so. The midterm and final were a breeze, and lectures were fun to sit through. Would highly highly recommend taking this class
Rob has got to be one of the nicest, most genuine profs I've ever had. He really wants his students to do well. His review class is perfect for the tests and I love his stories. He is the only prof so far in Haskayne that has given me some useful insight on the business world. Take it with Rob no matter what. Tests are fair but lengthy
Rob is just one of those professors who inspires you and makes you want to succeed. His lectures are engaging, and he has a way of explaining complicated concepts in a way that you can easily understand. A genuinely nice person. So much respect for this guy.
Best Prof I've had at this school
Rob is a great prof that makes material that could be very dry interesting. He genuinely is interested in his students success. Take his class!
Rob truly cares about how well you do in class, aside from the lecture material he also takes the time to teach you things about the real world and lessons that he has learned. easy person to talk to for help, and will go out of his way to help. one of the very best profs that I'll ever have attending the U of C :)
The content is very interesting and not difficult at all. The prof is a good person and tries to present the concept in an understandable way. Downside is that all you do class long is copy of the board and don't really pay attention to what he is saying. Also midterm/exams are more difficult than you expect. Marking them is a whole different story
You can explain this prof jn few words , "BEST PROF AT UNI ". He loves his students .The class attendence is mandatory because everything on the exams are from his notes. The group project is really easy and he will tell yu exactly what he wants.midterm was a bit hard but the final was a breeze. Study hard and attend the review class for sure.
A pretty good class overall. Rob is a good guy and tries to help students. Project is marked fairly easily as well as the presentation. However, the final was marked very strictly by T.A's. Not a lot of high marks in this class. Good guy, but beware
Great guy, actually cares about his students. Easy class if you take his notes cuz he tells you exactly what you need to know from the text, but the TA markers for the midterm were brutal, he ended up giving a 10% boost to everyone and gave us a MC final. I found it difficult. Going to the review classes is a must! Overall great prof!
Great teacher. Made the class very interesting, especially with his examples and cases. Really important that you go to the review class before midterm/final because he tells you what to study. Midterm wasn't very hard, but the marking was tough. Final was MC and was really hard, but he curved our grades.
The best prof! Definitely makes the course exciting!
Probably one of the best teachers you will ever have. He has the ability to make business law interesting. Make sure to attend lectures cause notes are very important. His lectures are always entertaining and you can tell he teaches because he loves it, and truly cares about his students.
Rob is by far the best prof i've had at U of C. He's passionate about his job and he loves his students - he makes class enjoyable. Tests are based off his notes so be sure to go to class and attend his review lectures. Do not take this class with anyone else!
Rob is my favourite prof. He genuinely cares about how his students do, he makes it interesting and keeps the assignment and tests fair. Take this class with Rob if you can, he is awesome!
Rob is the best. Bless his soul. He gave us so many freebie marks and his exams were all fair. He ACTUALLY cared about his students and always comforted us when we were nervous. He was a blast as a teacher. Totally funny! He presented his material enthusiastically and interestingly. I cannot rave enough about Rob. Take his course!
BEST professor at UofC! Wish he would teach another course so I could take it. Genuinely cares about all his students. Go to class take his notes and you'll do fine. His real life examples compliment the content and help you remember concepts for exams but are also great life lessons!
Rob is by far my MOST FAVOURITE prof of all time. He is passionate about his jobs and genuinely cares about every student. His stories are interesting and teach value life lessons. Exam questions are based off of his lectures, so be sure to attend every class.
The tests are not easy, you do need to really know the material. Rob tries to make it as easy to understand as possible, his lectures are ones i would attend even if they werent necessary (they are) just because of how informative and engaging they are. worth it!
Rob is awesome!! he really really cares about his students and wants us to succeed in the business world. he's super funny and makes class interesting. you NEED to go to class because he doesn't post his notes online. tests WERE NOT EASY, you really need to know the material.
I struggled on his midterm because I felt like it was super tough, and I didn't expect it to be all case studies instead of just plain definitions. Make sure you read the sections of the book his notes are based on, and go to class because his exams are based off from examples he uses in class. He's an amazing prof, but the material is very dry.
Rob is an excellent professor, with very engaging lectures. He's very passionate about law, and does his best to explain the course materials as simply as possible. Probably the most approachable, understanding, and good-natured professor you will ever encounter.
One of the best profs in Haskayne for sure. Hilarious guy and the assignment is a ridiculously easy 100% if you put in some effort. Tests aren't too bad either, but make sure you don't just know the concepts, but are able to also apply them to real life situations as this is how he phrases the questions (cases).
While Rob is a very nice guy and makes lectures much more enjoyable with his personality and good sense of humour, his tests are quite difficult and often very ambiguous. Only gave the midterm a 2% curve despite there being multiple questions that could have been interpreted very differently. Tests are based on examples from class so attend!
Rob is hilarious. He curses a bit, but other than that, I looked forward to his lectures every week. Extremely engaging, and very entertaining lectures. He also allows you to make cheat sheets every week and then use them on the final. Attendance highly recommended to know what he expects you to know.
Rob is hilarious, I loved attending his lectures. He cares about his students and is extremely engaging! Although the midterm was a lot harder then everyone expected, Rob also acknowledged it and apologized. Just make sure to keep up with readings even if its just skimming and familiarizing yourself with the chapter before class.
While Rob is an admirable engaging and passionate professor, his tests are ridiculous. I enjoyed his lectures. But beware of him picking favourites because he does and it shows in your grades. I went to every lecture, was respectful in class, and studied diligently but his exams screwed me. My group's presentation was good too, he still screwed us.
Awesome prof
One of the best professors at Haskayne. Course material is dry if you aren't interested in law, but Rob has some of the best stories and ties them in nicely with the course material. Tests are based on 85% class material and the rest from textbook. The textbook is very dry, but helpful. Overall, Rob is very experienced and knowledgeable.
I enjoyed Rob's class very much, never did I skip any. Notes are hard to read as he writes them on the blackboard. The textbook is extremely dry but skimming it would be helpful. The midterm was really hard and he did apologize for the confusion with some of the wording. You get to choose your group and marking for it is very easy.
Honestly he is one of best profs in U of C. I never seen such a caring instructor and really looking forward that we do well. lectures are very important especially the exams review lectures. Really recommend hin
Rob is very funny prof! He tries to make a fairly dull class as exciting as possible. That being said the midterm was difficult. To compensate for an abnormally low class avg he made the final 100% written ( which helped). So STUDY! Some people didnt read the book, I recommend you do. The group project was VERY EASY. Overall, Rob is a great prof!
Rob is my favourite prof in 3 years at UofC. He cares about his students and is very down to Earth. His midterm was pretty hard but the final made up for it. You NEED to go to class, not just for the laughs and stories but for the notes. His tests are 80% notes and 20% textbook. Also look up ahead of time the case studies and pick a short one.
This is going to be one of the best classes you ever take in your BComm, and Rob is the best. His lectures are engaging, and he is very respectful to students - almost more than you're used to by other human beings. The class is fascinating, and even though there's a lot to learn, Rob is amazing at guiding you through it.
Will you learn a lot? Maybe. Will you do well if you put in a bit of effort? Definitely. He is a very enthusiastic speaker, and he clearly knows his stuff. Lectures may seem slightly disorganized, but if you study the material and do the readings it is a fairly easy class. Definitely recommended for prospective law students.
Rob is an amazing prof! Very respectful towards his students, and very knowledgeable. It's not an easy class but he is clear on the material to study for the exams. Would definitely recommend!
Rob is one of the best profs I have had in my whole entire degree. He is extremely interesting and knowledgable and clearly respects all students. And HILARIOUS. It is definitely recommended that you read that chapters before class (yes it is a bit long) but it helps understand the flow of his lecture which focuses on the major points.
Rob is one of my favourite profs in Haskayne. He basically gives you a full 20% on the group project and the midterm and final are very fair. would definitely recommend.
Took BSEN with Rob and it ruined my standards for other profs. He makes the lectures so interesting that for a pretty dry topic you still look forward to the next. Studying for his class is definitely more about understanding than memorizing but go to class and that's not an issue. Honestly don't have enough good things to say about Rob.
I knew of Rob's amazing reputation with students before taking this course, and now that I have taken it with him, I fully understand & agree that his stellar reputation is well earned. His lectures are very clear, & his examples are hilarious and memorable. He has a very uplifting laugh, and is so kind to students. He really wants you to do well.
Why can't he teach all classes? Rob is absolutely amazing, treats you like he would his own two sons, takes the time to know you as a person. Lectures are amazing, and I was sometimes even sad when they ended because they were so fun. His examples are what make you remember the concepts. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about him.
There's not a class I don't leave laughing. Rob clearly explains dry content with enthusiasm, with great stories to remember the concepts. The cheat sheet he lets you bring is invaluable. Midterm is fair, group project is straight forward. Always look forward to his lectures! One of the best profs at Haskayne hands down.
super good prof
hands down one of the best profs i've ever had. his lectures are hilarious and his midterm/final review classes are amazing. Would take another class with him
Rob is an excellent prof, probably the best one I have had so far. Always makes lectures engaging and humorous. Tests are fair and the group project was not bad. Happy to go above and beyond to help. Highly recommend.
Rob is simply amazing! His love for law makes his classes very interesting. By far one of the most favourite classes in Haskayne. Rob is always willing to help and answer any questions. His lecture notes are also great, whoever says he is disorganized is wrong. Great prof overall!! Highly recommend taking BSEN with him!
Rob is by far one of the best prof's I've had at the U of C. He's very compassionate and wants students to do well. He gives everyone 100% on the group project, and is really specific about what will be on the midterm and final exams. His lectures are meaningful and he's hilarious.
Rob is the best professor I've had in my degree thus far. He always has the entire class laughing, makes you want to go to every lecture, and grades the midterm and final very fairly. On top of that, as others have said, he essentially gives you a free 20% with the group project. Its clear he cares about his students and puts them first.
Such an amazing professor! I was really stressed out during my semester and Mr. Malach helped me calm down and get a good grade. He truly wants the students to succeed. I really wish all our professors were like him.
When Rob says that he views his students the same way that he would view his own 2 sons, he isn't kidding. Never have a had a prof like him, ever. He really cares about all 200+ students that he teaches each term. Would take another class with him in a heartbeat! Thank You Rob!!!!!
Rob is an INCREDIBLE prof. I wish he could teach all of my classes! Business law can be a very dry subject but he manages to make it very interesting and easy to understand. He always had the whole class laughing and his lectures were the highlight of my day! He really cares for his students and wants everyone to succeed.
Such a good prof!
I wrote Rob a haiku Rob Malach is a Great prof. 10 out of 10 for sure recommend
Rob is a great prof. The lectures are fun and interesting. The assignment is an easy 100%. However, the midterm and final are deceptively harder than you would imagine. Study lots and understand the concepts overall. You get a cheat sheet for them, but its still tough.
Absolutely wonderful human being to begin with, his good nature really does come through when he's teaching the class, really loves what he teaches and loves his student equally as much. He has an amazing level of care and respect for everyone which is hard to find with profs at Haskayne since most of them think they're a king or something. 10/10 !
Rob is great, tells hilarious stories and swears a lot. What he teaches in class will appear on the tests. Cheat sheet is allowed on the tests but the tests are application so they can be a little tricky with the legal language. The rest of the class is pretty easy, group project is basically a guaranteed 100%.
Rob is fantastic. His genuine care for students and passion for teaching really shines. The best prof I have had at the uofc. I wish he taught all of my classes!
Rob is the best prof I've ever had. He is hilarious & tells great stories for concepts so you can remember them. He'll only tests what he writes on the board & he gives a review class before both exams to tell you what concepts will be on the exams. You're allowed a cheat sheet so just write down what he says in those 2 lectures and you're golden
Rob Malach is a homie. Clear with what is expected, and teaches you what is actually relevant for the tests.
I wish he taught more classes because he made BSEN actually interesting. I love the fact that he swears all the time, and he makes us laugh every class. He is really caring and also a great prof. Tells you everything you need to know for final/midterm PLUS you get a cheat sheet. I recommend this even if its not a requirement in your major
This man is the most wonderful person I have ever met. He genuinely cares about his students, wants you to make friends, and communicates a (usually) dry subject with an amazing level of enthusiasm - all whilst helping his students succeed. I am so sad that I can't take another class with this man. Rob Malach is a star. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING ROB
Having Rob as a Prof. was a fantastic experience where he kept you engaged with the material he was teaching by using hilarious stories or comments. Course material such as exams used alot of common sense and reason but were allowed to bring in a cheat sheet although it was not a necessity. Great prof. would take again if I had the chance!
He is such a good prof who makes class enjoyable for sure. BSEN can be pretty boring and tedious but he makes it as fun as possible. He also tells you everything that will be on the midterm and final which is great, but make sure you know how to apply the concepts and not only know their definitions. He cares about students' success.
Professor Malach is hands down the best professor I've ever had. Lectures are interesting and he is very good at engaging students on a seemingly boring topic. Would highly highly highly recommend. He is a BSEN god.
BEST prof EVER. Is hilarious, I would take any class with him! He could make the most boring class entertaining. I looked forward to his classes twice a week, and they were always full to over capacity because everyone from the other prof's lecture were showing up. If you go to any class, make sure its the review classes they will save your grade!
I had put off taking BSEN 395 until my last year of university just because I had 0 interest in the whole idea of law. However, Rob has truly change my perspective on the entire course and I wish I had known how interesting law can be. It's definitely a dry subject, however, Rob makes each lecture so fun and full of smiles and laughter.
Rob is a wonderful prof that makes you look forward to attending every lecture. His stories are very interesting and also help you understand the course concepts in real life situations. No text book required. He's very chill about expectations in the assignment/presentation. Rob truly cares for his students and tells you exactly what is testable!
He's really nice and cares about the well being of his students. He manages to keep the lectures engaging with real life examples and how they relate to the topic. I rarely felt bored or uninterested in the material in this course. Also, he tells you exactly what is going to be on the midterms and finals on the last class. I would highly recommend.
Rob is a great prof who goes over everything you need to know for the test in lectures. He also does a review class before the midterm and final. The project is an easy A. Beware that the midterm and final are more difficult than they seem, use an exam bank and you'll find the same questions word for word before the test.
Rob is the best Prof by far that I've ever had, and I'm not exagerating at all.
I love Rob! Honestly the best prof I have had so far at U of C. He genuinely loves teaching and wants to see his students succeed. The class is super easy and interesting.
He is an absolute ray of sunshine! It is very clear that he loves what he does, and he is able to pass on his enthusiasm for law to his students. I learned a lot in this course, and the real-life examples he shared will stick with me for a long time to come. I always looked forward to coming to class. Rob is truly a gem of a human!
One of the best profs you will have. Listening to the examples is the most interesting part of the lecture and they are also good for application for the tests.
You have to take BSEN with Rob. His examples are interesting and relatable which makes it easier to understand the content. If you ever need anything he is very accessible and understanding. Genuinely cares about his students.
Rob is an outstanding professor who goes above and beyond to make sure his students yield the wisdom and knowledge he has gained from 20 years in the industry. He lets you bring in cheat sheets for exams, which are extremely helpful.
It was a privilege to have Rob as a professor. The quality of his teaching combined with his humour made for an exceptional class. He really cares about his students and helps them to see their own potential. I can't say enough good things about him!!!
Best prof ever and absolutely hilarious!
Rob is an amazing professor! He knows how to deliver the content in a way students can understand, especially since nobody is a lawyer in the class. The cheat sheet is really helpful for exams, so make sure you make an effective one as questions can be tricky. Group project is very easy; overall it is an enjoyable course (with Rob)!
Best professor I've had through my degree from Haskayne so far. Teaches through stories and constantly takes feedback so he can better himself. He used to be a lawyer and has a passion for teaching. He is very fair and teaches based on real-life experiences directly relating to business law. Overall great guy.
Rob is a gem of a human being and hands down the best prof at UofC. You can truly sense how caring and genuine he is. He has an unforced sense of humour that has had me in stitches endless times. BSEN395 with him is a journey that you'll feel privileged to be a part of. The worst part of this course is that it ends :(
Every single positive thing that has been said about Rob Malach is true, so there is nothing more I can add, other than please do take this prof. I was skeptical at first, but quickly he became one of my favorite professors so far in my degree. Words can't describe how much of a gem this man is. Thank you Rob for making school feel not like a chore
I loved taking BSEN 395 with Rob Malach, enough cannot be said about how good a teacher he is and if you put in the effort you could get a really good grade. I always looked forward to these lectures and would not miss them for the world. If you get the opportunity to take it with him, know that you are in the hands of the best prof at U of C
He's hilarious and actually makes the lectures interesting. You can tell he cares for his students and doesn't want to add on any extra stress so he tries to make the class as easy as possible while making sure the students actually know their stuff. He lets you have a cheat sheet and if you have it ready you're guaranteed to pass.
Best prof at this school. He is so caring and genuinely wants students to succeed. I think it's impossible to fail this class because he is crystal clear on what is expected of you and essentially gives you a free 4% with a presentation. You get a cheat sheet for both exams too so go to his review classes and write everything he says on it!
Malach is an amazing prof. He is hilarious and makes lectures very enjoyable. Coming from someone who skips a lot of classes in general I barely ever missed his lectures. Knew he was gonna be amazing from the very first lecture. He was also easily accessible for help and provided great feedback.
i love rob! so sweet and kind and i wish he taught senior courses :( go to lectures, write whats on the board, write on cheat sheet. You will probably not get anything lower than A- in the course. Super funny and interesting lectures, if you have another prof just go to rob's lectures.
Rob is by far the best prof. at U of C. He does everything to make the course as informative, yet stress-free as possible. Go to class - everything he writes on the board is what you need to know. Nothing more than that. He will tell you exactly what to write on your cheat sheet. Rob is the funniest/most inspirational prof. I have ever had!
everyone told me BSEN 395 would be an easy A, but i actually had to work for it. rob's stories are great but they don't highlight the nuances and details that are tested on the exam! i HIGHLY recommend everyone read the textbook (buy the PDF) even though everyone tells you you dont need to read it. if you're looking to do well on his exams, READ!
Rob is hilarious and its easy to stay awake through his lectures. He is the course coordinator so drops lots and lots of hints about the tests throughout the semester. No need to buy the text with him! 4/4 would recommend
Really good prof, highly recommend him. I would highly recommend attending all the classes because he uses some relevant stories to help you grasp the topic and usually gives big hints to the exams
Rob was hands down the best prof I have had so far. He cares so much about his students and makes class enjoyable. Make sure you attend all lectures as he doesn't post notes online. He always gives hints on what will be on the exam. Overall amazing prof I only wish he taught more classes.
THE BEST PROF IVE EVER HAD. He is so caring of all his students and intergrates stories into his teaching so that learning is easy. Show up to class and take good notes and you will pass easily. Midterm was harder than the final, lots of application-based questions but still super easy if you have a basic understanding of coarse material.
Rob is amazing and he cares for his students! He's a cute old man with great sense of humour! There are more application questions on his tests so take note! The greatest takeaway from this class is having to forge real friendships. The lecture size is small and he encourages everyone to interact. I made a few good friends from his class.
