HILARIOUS!Dr. Nichols is one of the best professors I have ever had. I have never actually enjoyed sitting in a lecture, especially a 90 minute one. The tests are quite tricky, but he does give you a chance with quizzes and participation points. Do not bother with the book, focus on his lectures and take notes during class and you should be fine.
Tough multiple choice tests, but an awesome teacher and lecturer. Knows his stuff. Would definitely take his class again.
Dr. Nichols is a great guy. Really knows his stuff, is HILARIOUS, and is always willing to help. His lectures are enjoyable and he is easy to listen to. All of this, but tests are NOT easy! You have to put significant time in and really understand the material. This class is totally different than A&P1, you can't just memorize the textbook.
He is by far my favorite professor at UGA. He cares so much that his students actually know the information. He is easy to listen to and really makes class enjoyable. He understands that everyone in the room wants to go on to grad school and applies that to his lectures. Take his class. I wish he taught all my science classes.
I LOVE Dr. Nichols. By far one of my top three favorite science professors at UGA. His lectures are hilarious, he throws out candy to you a lot for right answers, and he really emphasizes the clinical aspects of anatomy which I loved. If you pay attention to what he says, you'll know exactly where he pulls all his test questions from.
By far the best professor I had! His exams are tough but if you go to class and take notes you'll be fine. His final was a compilation of all the old test questions (re-used) and 20% new material. Kept me entertained and I NEVER slept in class cause he was entertaining.
He is so great! His lectures are on the test. His lectures are hilarious and he's such a nice guy. He truly cares for students and their education. Emails pretty quickly back. I think he went through med school and residency of something, but some reason decided to teach? But he is so amazing, funny, helpful, and smart. TAKE HIM!
Great teacher! As long as you pay attention in class you are fine! Minimal studying, and easy online quizzes.
Nichols is an amazing professor. Even with a topic as diffucult as anatomy, he makes it interesting and is very funny. He applies most of the topics he teaches to clinical examples to help link the knowledge to the real world. Did I mention he is hilarious?
Incredible guy! Really made the class fun and interesting. He is a great lecturer and hilarious. Never once fell asleep in his class! Tests can be difficult, but made As on 3/5 of them. Tests are only based on his slides and lecture, no book use. Anatomy II with him was the best.
Really inspirational; if he taught all of my science classes at UGA then I would probably still be a biology major because he makes it so easy to understand. Tests are all multiple choice and range from 40ish-60ish questions. My lowest test grade was an 80, but I didn't really study for that one as much as I should have. Definitely recommend!!
He is great! I loved this class so much. He genuinely cares that his students learn, however, the tests were challenging. Nichols is so funny too! He gives out candy and is very helpful if you need it. Would take him again if I could. He does't really use a textbook, I used online resources or my A&P 1 book for a supplement though.
He is a good teacher but does NOT give any help in your grade. Makes it very clear that even if you get a 89.9, he will not round you up. Not very understanding of students but is good at teaching his material. Tests are tough but doable. Kind of disrespectful to students.
Fairly enjoyable to listen to his lectures because he is passionate about his subject matter. If you skip class, you can still do well by learning the slides, but he does give notes in class that are not on the slides that show up on tests. He is also good about letting you know what you do NOT need to know for tests. Not an easy class.
WOW, WOW, WOW. One of the most incredible professors I have EVER had! If you have ever used khan academy or crash course on youtube, his teaching style is very similar to these guys. The course is hard and tests/lab practicals aren't easy, however if you put in the work, an A is not hard to get. Nichols truly cares about his students, 10/10.
Probably the best lecturer I have had at UGA, he is very funny and keeps a relatively boring subject interesting. It is still anatomy though, so the tests are pretty difficult, but not impossible.
Best professor ever. He really prepares you for clinical work in a variety of fields! Work hard and an A is totally doable. Final is pretty easy also!
I absolutely LOVED Dr. Nichols! He makes class funny and interesting, but he is also VERY knowledgable about his anatomy. Some of the material is challenging and the class is not easy, but very doable. Dr. Nichols makes it so much better. Lab grades should help because you are already used to taking practicals, and case study grades help A TON!
Dr. Nichols was an amazing professor. Anatomy can get a little bit boring but he has no problem making the lectures interesting and engaging. He also hands out candy to those who answer his questions. His tests are fair so def pay attention to his lectures and Tophat questions because quite a few of the examples he gives will appear on the tests.
Rob Nichols is my favorite professor at UGA. If you get a chance to take him you should. He will inspire you every day to care about what you're learning, and he will teach it well to make learning it easier for you. It is clear how much he loves to teach!
Nichols is an amazing professor. He really cares about every student in his class and wants to know who you are. He's really funny and makes lectures interesting. I'm not the kind of person that science courses come easy to, and he makes the class very doable. I went from failing with another professor to a B+ in his class. 11/10 would recommend.
Rob Nichols is a GEM. He loves what he does and explains the material SO WELL. There's a lot of material, but it is very doable as long as you study the slides and listen well in lecture. I use those as study tools (never used the textbook) and have gotten an A in everything ever tested on. The things he talks about is what you'll be tested on.
Nichols is an awesome professor. Made the class very enjoyable and I feel like I learned alot from him. Tests aren't "easy," but if you pay attention in class and study well, getting an A on his tests is very doable. I felt as though this course was easier than Anatomy I, perhaps just because he made the class/learning fun :)
He's very funny and makes lectures more interesting and explains very well. A couple of online lecture and lab quizzes that are pretty easy and will boost your grade, you get three chances for each quiz. We used an online book but only did like 5 easy exercises from it all semester. Tests can be difficult if you study the night before (oops)
Good choice for a teacher. He is really funny and makes allot of medical connections that are helpful. His tests are difficult though and lab is not any easier than 2210. Check some quizlets to prepare for tests.
Dr. Nichols was AWESOME! He is very intelligent and HILARIOUS! He's also very kind and helpful. That being said, this class is by no means easy. The Lab Practicals ARE VERY HARD and require ALOT OF STUDYING. The lecture exams were also hard, but easier than the lab practicals. Overall, great class, really interesting and good for pre-health majors
Everything on his tests can be found in the lecture notes, so if you study those you can make an A. The lab practicals were pretty difficult, but if you study a lot it's possible to do really well.
Probably the best professor I've had at UGA so far. Really cares about the material he is teaching and does an excellent job keeping his students engaged/interested. Lab practicals were hard, but the tests (which make up most of your grade) are very fair. If you go to class and study his power points it is very doable to get an A on the tests!
Dr. Nichols is hands down one of my favorite professors at UGA. He makes learning very interesting and is hilarious. His tests are somewhat tough but if you study his powerpoints you can definitely make an A. Lab practicals are hard but can be conquered with an adequate amount of study time. Would 100% take Dr. Nichols again if I could!
One of the best lecturers I've had at UGA! Gives everything we learn a clinical application which makes class super interesting for pre-health students. The class itself is a lot, but that being said Dr. Nichols is the best possible person to take it with.
The tests are very hard if you do not study, he does not give you notification about what is due so you have to be on top of it. He wastes a lot of time getting side tracked which ends up hurting us on the tests later one.
Nichols is one of the best professor's that I have had at UGA!! The material is tough, but he does everything he can to try and help everyone understand. If you study the powerpoints that he posts very thoroughly, you should be ok for the tests. He really is a great teacher and is hilarious on top of it.
Dr. Nichols is awesome in his lectures. I took this class as a senior, so I have seen my fair share of professors, both incredible and terrible. Nichols is as good as you could ask for. He will do everything he can to help you succeed. That being said, this course and the lab are A LOT. Download the PPs, go to class, start memorizing stuff ASAP
Dr Nichols is an awesome professor. Even though I struggled in the class he always kept me entertained and really cared about my learning experience. He will meet with you after class and his tests are fair. Study a lot, but hes the best there is at UGA.
Absolute best anatomy teacher at UGA. Teaches and explains far beyond the material and gets you thinking in a clinical perspective. Would take him for every class if I could! Read the book and write notes before class so you can focus and listen to his examples during lecture.
Dr Nichols is a great professor. He knows how to relate the material to everyday experiences to help the students thoroughly understand it. The tests aren't easy but if you study the PowerPoints you should do well on them. Although the class is lecture heavy he keeps you engaged and sometimes jokes a lot.
Dr. Nichols is absolutely hilarious and tries his best to make anatomy fun. He always throws stories into his lectures and goes a little off track. He genuinely wants everyone to do well in his class, as well as in the future.
Probably the best professor I've taken at UGA. He outlines his expectations very well and gives very clear lectures. He is always willing to help and is extremely understanding. I wish I could have had him for my other classes as well.
Anatomy was pretty hard for me, but Dr. Nichols is one of the best professors out there. He makes lectures super interesting and explains the concepts in such a great way. He's super sweet too!!!
Professor Nichols is probably the best professor I have had at UGA. I took him for medical anatomy and it was so enjoyable. He is so knowledgeable and just wants everyone to get the most out of the lab. He makes the lab so interesting you never want it to end. He makes the experience better. I wish I had been able to have him for more classes.
Nichols is definitely one of my fav profs I have had at UGA. An amazing guy that knows so much about the course. He is super accessible outside of class with office hours or email. He is absolutely hilarious & I wanted his lectures to be longer a lot of the time because he was such an amazing lecturer. Get ready to put in the work for this one tho!
Professor Nichols is one of the best professors at UGA. He really cares about students. He's great at teaching the material in a way you can understand and learn. He helps you rememberer material, and gets you ready for your future regardless of major. He is THE absolute funniest instructor I've ever had, and he's very down to Earth.
Dr. Nichols is by far the best professor I've had at UGA. He makes the lectures fun and interesting so it's actually a class you don't want to skip. I would recommend this professor to anyone going into the pre-health field.
Nichols is the best choice for an anatomy teacher at UGA. This class is very content heavy, however his tests are not that difficult. Studying hard is necessary, but the information comes straight from his slides and the textbook, so taking notes in class is not needed. Attendance is mandatory, and missing several days will hurt your grade.
Professor Nichols is an amazing human beings. He makes the lectures very interesting and he really makes anyone who takes his class really enjoy whatever they are learning
Dr Nichols is an awesome Professor. Makes everything clear and gives fair tests
Nichols' lectures are super enjoyable. His tests are based on his slides which he posts online. Attendance isn't required but it helps on tests and the lab practicals. As long as you study, this class is a fairly easy course. Nichols is available outside of class if you have questions. I would definitely recommend taking class with him.
Nichols is my favorite professor at UGA. He is SO nice and he makes the confusing and heavy lectures as interesting as they could possibly be. He also relates class content to real life in the medical field which was awesome. Class isn't mandatory but I have no idea how anyone would pass without going - in class lectures are so important
LOVE Dr. Nichols!!! The class is so fun and interesting and he always relates to healthcare professions. Tests aren't terribly hard but you do need to study. Absolutely take him for A&P!!
Nichols is an incredible communicator. His lectures accompanied by pre-lecture notes make this class enjoyable. One of the best professors at UGA
My favorite professor I've ever had at UGA. He is a very good teacher and lecturer. If you are a pre-med student, he is especially interesting because he knows the ins and outs of med school. He's very good at teaching you material, then showing you why the material you learned is useful. A must take professor.
Nichols is a great professor! Anatomy is a tough course but he did a great job of making lectures interesting and was an incredible teacher. You do lots of top hat questions during class, so you have to go for those. Tests are from his lecture notes and slides so if you study those youll do well
Dr. Nichols does the most to help everyone learn, which is really appreciated. TopHat questions are used for attendance/participation, so be sure to go to class. Lectures are interesting and he's funny, tests are only from the lectures and the slides.
TAKE THIS MAN. His tests are based a lot from his lectures so if you go to class he will sometimes give you clear hints about what will be on the test. He also uses TopHat qs on the test so review those. One of the best professors I have ever had and cares so much about his students. I would probably die for this man he's so great.
Nichols is the BEST. He gives study guides for each test that actually prepare you for the tests, and he is very helpful in explanations, etc. This was my second time taking this class and he was far better than Beebe. He is what all profs should aim to be: HELPFUL. Also gives some connect assig and uses tophat. He sets his students up to succeed
Nichols is such a kind guy. He cares so much about his students. He would host optional zoom calls where he would give life advice or we could just chat. His lectures were kind of long but he would make them entertaining. It was a lot of material but his attitude and love for anatomy made it amazing. I'm a fan
Rob is a good teacher, but you have to watch lectures on your own which is fine except for the fact that he only covers very basic info in them and then asks detailed high level questions on exams. Each and every point counts now that the minimum to get an A is 95.5 so take the extra time to get full points of whatever you can.
I've loved Dr. Nichols for anatomy I and I'm really excited for anatomy II with him. He is so sweet, caring, and he gives the funniest lectures when he gets excited about what we're talking about. Tests have not been too bad thus far either. If you have to take anatomy, Dr. Nichols is definitely the professor to go with :)
If I could take Dr. Nichols for every class at UGA, I would. He is the best professor I've ever had. GO TO CLASS! His TopHat was for participation bonus points and it helped so much. Material is hard, but take good notes and you'll be fine. He is also the nicest guy and went out of his way to help me with my graduate school application. Take him!
Nichols is the best. He teaches everything in a way that's easy to understand, and he's hilarious with so much energy. Go to class for the Tophat participation points and you'll get a huge bonus. Do the homework and quizzes too because those also help, and a lot of the same questions are on the exams. Definitely take him if you can.
Absolutely LOVE Dr. Nichols - literally one of the best lecturers I have ever encountered at UGA. His class is very well organized, so you never wonder what is due when. One word of advice, DO NOT TAKE CBIO3010 IF YOU ARE TAKING GENE 3200!!!! Every practical is the same night as exams so you're forced to duel study and the practical's are not easy.
I absolutely loved Dr. Nichols! If you need physiology, take him instead of VPHY3100! So much easier, smaller class, better experience. He is hilarious and makes things easy to understand. Doesn't try to trick you on exams and very clear on what's tested over. Go to class for Tophat extra credit bc it was my only difference between an A and an A-
Had him for CBIO 3010, he doesn't make mistakes, is very well dressed, and passionate about anatomy
Dr. Nichols is an outstanding professor! He made coming to lectures enjoyable and offered extra credit participation Top Hat questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the material. He is also funny! He provides real-world applications which are helpful for any pre-health student.
I 10000% recommend him. I took 3050E and his lecture videos were so easy to understand and he was funny. He definitely knew what he was talking about and it was so interesting. The quizzes/exams were all from what he said and his lectures. He grades pretty fast and his assignments were easy to do. He gave feedback on some of the quiz answers too.
Dr. Nichols is one of the best profs at UGA. He is so knowledgeable about his subjects, and he teaches in a way that ensures everyone understands. He also has experience in the medical field, which helps prepare for pre med. Its so easy to get a good grade. But even though its easy, I walked away actually learning the information being taught.
He goes on way too many tangents in class. He refers to healthcare situations way too often that he will lose track of what we are supposed to be learning. Because he goes on tangents, it is sometimes hard to have a clear idea of what you will be tested on and he does not get in all the content
Best professor I've ever had at UGA. Engaging lectures, straightforward tests, and wants to know all of us on a personal level. Applies class material to real life and makes class interesting. I found myself wanting to study because it was so interesting. The actual class isn't bad but lab is rough. Much easier than CBIO 2200 though in my opinion.
Nichols is great! He works hard to keep students engaged and to relate content to all kinds of real life healthcare applications. He was relatively accessible and went out of his way to help me and answer my questions. He also is very receptive to student input and feedback. The lab is a mess, but that's not on him. Definitely a solid choice!
He's a great professor and really cares about his students, but you can tell he usually teaches higher level classes. He goes on tangents that are hard to follow, and attendance isn't mandatory but its hard to tell what's going to be on the tests if you don't go to the lectures.
Great lecturer. Highly recommend you go to his office hours. His insights are very interesting, and he's fun to talk to. He gives bonus pts to those who go. I did each test prep quiz like 10x. He uses a lot of the questions on the exams (all MC). Take the final, they're mostly the same questions from previous tests
This was a fun class! This prof was super knowledgeable. The exams are all mutliple choice and the questions are pulled straight from exam reviews. Overall, they were SUPER easy. If you do well during the semester, the final is optional. He also gives a little extra credit! I learned a lot and found the class to be pretty easy for an anatomy course
Prof. Nichols has been one of the best professors I've had at UGA. His lectures are knowledgeable, interesting, and funny. You can tell he truly cares about his students. If you show up to class and put forth effort you will succeed in this class.
Lectures were boring and contained useless information. There was another student with the same first and last name as me. He mixed up our grades and took 2 weeks to change it. It should've been changed in 2 days or less. Grades are everything to a student. He should have changed it as fast as possible. His slowness reflected his lack of empathy.
Dr. Nichols was a great professor and I enjoyed his class although it was a little difficult because of the lab practical. Literally every thing you needed for his exams were on his slides and he does a great job at explaining.
Dr. Nichols is a fantastic professor. He makes the material very easy to understand, and his slides are very well organized. He gives quizzes on Pearson for every chapter and those quiz questions is what he uses on the exams. Great class and great professor
Amazing professor! He really knows what he's talking about and wants you to succeed. Everything that you need to know to do well on his exams is on his PowerPoint. He also makes class really interesting by telling us cool stories and facts about anatomy. There are a lot of exams but very doable.
This class was so interesting and fun to take. I would recommend taking this class with this professor. Everything you need to do well on the exams is on the PowerPoints. There's lots of tests but very doable to do well on all of them. Gives you quizzes before each test that includes test questions.
Dr. Nichols was great professor for Anatomy. His lectures and exams are packed with content but he does try to help and explain things clearly to you. He also does give you advice on how to do better on exams and does try to make class comedic sometimes which I love. His lab practical grade scale could be better but overall solid choice!
Nichols is an amazing professor. Lectures were engaging. Lab practicals were hard (there is so much info thrown at you). Exams were a bit confusing but fine if you study correctly for them. You need to learn how to study to be successful in this class.
I highly recommend choosing him for a class if you have the option. The material of AnP 2 can be quite difficult (especially the lab), but Dr. Nichols exams were fair and extremely doable. Light on homework, online textbook, and practice exams with questions that reappear on the exam. Very interesting lectures with 80% attendance requirement.
Dr. Nichols is so kind and truly has a passion for anatomy. I would not recommend anyone else for anatomy. He is so funny and makes lecture interesting and is very understanding. Though, he does have TopHat attendance every day.
Dr. Nichols is one of the best professors I have ever had at UGA. He is passionate about anatomy & he gives great advice for pre-health students. He is kind, fair, and relatable. His tests sometimes contain past quiz questions; he does everything he can to help you succeed. Attend lab and lecture, study his powerpoints, and ask questions!
This guy is an anatomy genius. His lectures are awesome and he does a great job of explaining topics in a way that is easy to understand/remember. Quizzes/tests aren't too bad if you take good notes and review. Lab is tough but making Anki cards helped me so much. Highly recommend this class if you want to do medicine.
Dr. Nichols is amazing! One of the best professors I have had at UGA. He is passionate about human anatomy and is eager to help. He gives good analogies in his lectures which helped me understand the material better. The lab practicals are a bit difficult, so make sure you study well for these!
Homie's a chill dude. Super funny in class and fun to be around in general. The way he teaches anatomy is pretty interesting. Only downside is lab practicals are kinda hard and plummet your grade if you're not careful.
I absolutely loved Dr. Nichols! He is a wonderful lecturer and explains the course content very well. His assignments are very easy and the course material is great for pre-meds and pre-dents. He is hilarious and gives great insight into the functioning of the human body through relatable analogies and is very accessible outside of class.
He is probably one of the best lecturers I have ever had. He was always eager to teach, and he actually knew what he was talking about instead of just reading off of the slides. Tests weren't difficult at all. Would 100% recommend taking Nichols.
He was an amazing professor. Take all the attempts given on the quizzes and test preps and use the material to help study for the exams. Does tophat. Do review any math because they are only in the lecture notes. Does lockdown browser - do need to understand how to use that calculator and not your own.
One of my favorite classes I've ever taken at UGA. Very straightforward, and he offers lots of extra credit. Also, one of the best and most engaging lecturers I've had.
Dr. Nichols was hands down the best professor I ever had. I wish I could take more classes with him. I learned so much and I always looked forward attending his class. My favorite class at UGA ever.
He was an amazing professor. He obviously knew the material very well and taught in a way that was understandable and digestive to students. I had his class at 8 am and I was never completely dreading to go to his class.
I am a student from Dr. Nicholas from a few years back. He was by far my favorite instructor that I ever had. He just came across my mind and I realized I had never written him a good review. He deserves a glowing review bc he's a fantastic teacher. He teaches in a way that students understand. You are lucky if you get into his class!
best. class. ever. highly highly highlyyyy recommend this course and professor! this class just made me more inspired and passionate for medicine.
TAKE HIM!! Taking him as a summer hybrid course, and I am so happy I have him as a professor. He genuinely cares about his class and his students and WANTS you to succeed. Class assignments are set up for you to have an actual understanding of the material with engaging lecture videos. A bunch of opportunities for easy points, too.
Dr. Nichols was one of the best science professors I've had. I took this as a summer class so the pace of material was even faster but he accommodated and helped out with extra credit. His test were very reasonable to me and I had no trouble doing well on them. Extra easy assignments as well to boost grades! Take him if you can!
Had this professor twice at UGA so far and he is awesome! I would highly recommend taking him! He is very understanding and works with you. Overall a fascinating person and a great teacher that knows how to explain things so that the students remember the content. Very engaging and relevant with his materials. I wish UGA had more teachers like him.
Genuinely interesting lectures, but be warned that the exams are very specific to the slides and lectures. There's a lot of pre-lecture quizzes, readings, and videos, but they are easy and they're oftentimes on the exam anyways. Please take him if you are pre-med, he has good advice for those interested.
The tests were a lot like the test prep quizzes. Lectures sometimes got off topic and we often fell behind the course schedule. Pretty easy to do well, but there is a lot to do.
Dr. Nichols is so great! His lectures are always entertaining, even though he tends to get off topic and ramble. He's a great guy and explains the material really well. You do have to study quite a bit for his exams (I recommend using his lecture slides and reviewing old practice quizzes), but it's not too hard to get an A on the exams
Dr. Nichols is the best. He is a sweet, caring angel that tries to know his students by name. His lectures are very engaging and the content is interesting for anyone who wants to go into healthcare. The exams are based off of a question bank that contains questions from the quizzes. An A is more than doable in this class.
Very engaging lecturer. Tends to go on long tangents, which are interesting, but sometimes distract from the content. Exams are challenging and require a lot memorization. A lot of online quizzes outside of class, but a few are dropped and they are helpful for exam preparations
Dr. Nichols is the goat. Honestly the best professor I have had at UGA. This class is scary because of the 5 tests and 4 practicals but Dr. Nichols makes it very achievable to get an A. The tests really aren't that hard, but the practicals do take a lot of memorization. If you can get over the late lab times, 100% take this class.
