He cusses a lot and I think he may be a little off...let's be honest...he's crazy. But he is an excellent teacher. He is sincere and genuine in wanting to help. I made a D in statistics in high school, and I finished with an A in his class.

This guy is awesome, he makes Stats like middle school math. Do the homeworks because they help you. I would not take Stats unless this guy was your teacher. Kinda off, but he is funny.

He makes math a fun, relates everything to real life. Curses a lot. Knows every srudents by name if take more than one class. When helps after class, does not just give an answer but spend as much time as needed until you understand the concept.

He's very nice and funny. He makes the stat fun! But he'll make bring up like weird topics to talk about in class that has nothing to do with stat and he'll talk about them in the middle of doing a problem. hahaha!! always funny to watch his messy hair.

He's a great teacher and provides handouts for all the sections. Never had to buy the book. He's a little off and random with some things he says but he'll really help you out if you make an attempt. Highly recommended.

If you can take statistics in the summer it's pretty easy. It goes fast and you only are responsible for the important stuff, not the formulas you'll never use much less see again. Always available for help..just ask! He brought Oreo's to our class. Nice!

Anderson is freakin awesome, he is absolutley the quintecential crazy math professor. His hair is always messy and he never fails to make you laugh. He makes STAT easier and his antics get you to go to class. Do homework and study for tests and it is an easy A.

This was a hard class but he did his best to help us out. Whenever the whole class did poorly he did everything to re-teach us material. He doesn't really count hmwk, attendance or quizzes unless you need a grade boost. He's so freakin hot!! He wears the same blue shirt, black jeans EVERYDAY!!

Dr. Anderson is a GREAT PROFESSOR!!! He is very cool,very, very HELPFUL just go to his office and he is always willing to help students. The BEST teacher I've ever had. I didn't like stats until I had Mr. A's class. He is a crazy guys and talk lots of Sh**. You'll love him once you've had his class.

Very easy just do your homework and stay on top of it. Easy to get an A he doesn't really explain his grading system from the beginning but all the homework helps you learn. Cool guy.

Prof. Anderson is a great teacher. He knows not everyone understands statistics and he goes out of his way to help students. The homework will help you so much on the test and he is always in his office to anwser questions.

Great guy! Just might save your GPA. Never have to turn in your hw on time! Is always there (in office) if you need help. Funny and does curse but not offensively at someone. At times, I got pretty shameful grades on tests and ended up with a B. Do yourself a favor.

funny guy, likes the F-word( he curses a lot but not at anyone), and calling people who dont show up for class. HWs must be turned in, but when u feel like it, he posts answers. He is very straightforward about his exams, and has a nice curve at the end of the semester. Very helpful and entertaining.

Really funny guy and so nice. I'm a history major (and not very good at math) and I still got an A. Very helpful and the online homework/quizzes are great resources for the tests.

Great professor. He is a very fair grader and his tests are exactly like the homework. If you do the homework you will do well. He is always avilable in his office if you need extra help. Really cares about his students. One of the best professors I've had at UNCC.

Pretty cool teahcer, loves to cuss. I mean stats is a hard class to me no matter what. I stayed in his office but he was very helpful. Grades homework and gives you take home quizzes and sometimes take home extra tests if you done really bad on the real test. Just do the homework and study it and be willing to visit him in his office.

No need to buy the book he gives out handouts every class. If you go to class and do the homework you'll do well. Nice guy, interesting class. Make sure you double check your test against the solutions though and pay attention to definitions (they are always on the test).

I'm AWFUL at any math, and had failed Statistics before. He is definitely the easiest and most helpful out of the Stat professors. Can be kinda round-about, but his office is always open for help. Don't expect any multiple choice. Homework helps your grade, and if you do better on the final than your overall grade, thats your new grade. Pretty good

I am horrible at math, but professor anderson never let me give up. His door was always open for me to go and get extra help and he sincerely wants his students to do well. He made statistics as interesting as it could be and is an all around nice guy. He is by far the best math professor I have had at this university so far.

Incredible curve on the final! If you blew all you past exams, your final exam will be used as your final grade! No need to buy text book! He gives hand outs every class, where tests are based on. His pre-test, and quizes are basically same as the test itself. Fast-paced, so pay attention! Cranky-lookin man, but very fun~ TAKE THE CLASS!!

From all of the other stats proff. he is the best 4 Stat. You rarely use the book, but if you pay attention to class and the handouts he gives, and try to do the homework he gives every class, you will have an A! Very FUNNY in class, always makes jokes! Do not buy the book for this class!! You do not use it. He gives out a tree's worth of handouts over the semester. Great final curve. I had a F going into the final got a B on it and that is my grade for the class!! Good teacher but hard material.

Very nice and funny teacher. Some of the material is dry so he tries to liven it up with a joke. He is very helpfull if you just ask. Homework every night but very lax on it. You do not need the book because he gives you notes everyday on what you need to know. Class is not mandatory but attendance will help you at the end of the semester.

Dr. Anderson is a great professor! He takes a course as tedious & confusing as statistics and makes it EXTREMELY easy to comprehend. No textbook required, flexible office hours, class attendence recommended but not required. If you're like me & you struggle with math of any kind, take his course!

Has a great sense of humor. He is very creative and lively in class. He makes you think. I dreaded this class until about two weeks into the class and I realized what a great prof he is.

Just go to his office daily and you'll get an A or a B. Seriously, it's that easy. Just show you are trying and always turn in your homework. Go to class and let him see you in there. He's a great guy just ignore his vulgor comments and foul language. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!!!!!

I don't know if he is easy or not because I have tremendous problems with math. What I do know is that I gave it my all and I passed with a C. It was a fair grade, I think. Anderson realizes that not everyone is good at math.He is very likable, nice, and caring. Can be very funny too!

Attendance is not mandatory but go to class it will help a lot just do hw you will fine on the test which is almost same as hw. i got more than 95 every test. but have to study for common final exam. if you get A on the final test you will get A even you fail other test.

He is the man. He makes you work but he is brilliant and cool as can be. He told me he rewards improvement and he meant it. Take him, you will be fine young jedi.

Awesome. I HATE math, and this class was fairly easy for me. He tries to explain all the concepts, which can be pretty confusing, but if you just focus on how to work the problems, you'll do fine. Try to come to class because if you miss a couple of days it's kind of hard to catch up. Don't buy the book or the clicker!

Take him! Native English speaker. Gives notes for every lecture. Don't buy the book. Final grade based mostly on the final exam. Attendance rarely regulated. How to get an A: Go to class, get the notes, do the homework, and if you don't understand the material, go to him for help.

Likes to stress theoretical understanding so you'll see a lot of theorems and formulas. He can be difficult but that is to weed out the less serious students. Has as a very loose grading system so if you come to his office, attend lectures, and make an honest effort to do well in the class you will walk out with an A. Curves test grades too.

Dr. Anderson was great! I am terrible at Math and I ended up with an A in the class! All you have to do is do all the homework..which you can turn in late..do pretty well on the test..which come straight from the homework. Highly Recommend!

Professor Anderson is a nice guy..gives you a copy of the notes every class. You don't need the book. Hw every class but you can turn it in late..and the 3 tests come directly from the hw problems.is willing to help you if you go to his office. Tries to keep the class somewhat intersting with his random stories :)

Tests are different harder than the problems provided in class. Final determines your grade. HW, quizzes, and take home tests are not used to help your grade, they are just for practice.

A funny guy. He makes stat actually interesting. I would suggest him to anyone.

He is a good teacher, however, teaching to some 90 students at a time can be challenging. Especially mathematics. He does not use the book. He's helpful if you go see him. I personally still think I failed his class though.

Probability at this level is difficult and It is very easy to get lost in this class quickly. However, Anderson is ALWAYS helpful and willing to work with students in his office. I found myself in there starting with 3122 and still visit him even though I am done with his classes. Love this guy!

Pretty decent professor considering the difficulty of teaching math/stats to a class size of 150+. Do the homework & study and go see him during office hours for help if needed and you'll make an A. And for your benefit, your final exam grade can be your overall grade if your class grade is low going into the final.

First do not buy the book, he hands out 200 pages worth of handouts with great notes on them. It's a big class and is loud, so if you want to do well, sit towards the front! Tests are very long, you will use all your time. DO THE HOMEWORK, or you will fail. Hard subject, good professor. He does well explaining, and uses good examples.

Really good class, no use in buying the text book, gives you tons of notes. Also homework and attendance are optional and most quizzes are take home quizzes. The final is most of your grade if you do well, if not he will try to average it to give you the best grade possible, would recomend to anyone.

The worst thing about this professor is he is retiring at the end of this semester. I would have liked to have more classes with him. Great guy. I am going to miss him a lot. He didn't just teach statistics he taught life lessons. Anyone who went to his office will tell you that. I learned a lot from him in and outside the classroom.

He is the best professor I've had in college. Gives printed notes at the beginning of every course and homework at the end. Homework doesn't factor into your grade but is helpful. Exams are easy as long as you follow the homework outlines. Final can replace your entire grade, so no sweat if you're not doing great, cause you can replace it. A+

Pretty simplistic approach to statistics. Definitely the best bet for this class. Homework doesn't factor into your grade but it gets you on his good side (85 with all your homework done gets you an A). Final replaces the test. If you're somewhat coherent during class and make an attempt at doing the homework you should do well

Professor Anderson is by far my favorite professor I've had at UNC thus far. He is very helpful in office hours and in class. He is very passionate about what he teaches which makes the subject matter more exciting. He really wants his students to succeed and learn Portuguese!!
