Professor Arnold was very flexible and helpful despite a crazy semester because of all the snow days. One of the best profs I've had.

He is a great teacher. His class is an easy A all you have to do is show up and most of the time he lets class out 30 mins early.

Little boring at times but still raised good discussion topics and was open to input from the students.

I love his class. He is funny and gives relatively easy assignments. He likes to have group discussions and group work, too. He seems to be a lenient grader, too. I've never been bored in his class, either.

Very easy class. I am horrible at writing papers and I got an A. He is more focused on helping you improve your writing instead of trying to grade you strictly. While his class is boring, he is a good guy.

he was a very good professor...i don't know why so many people give him bad reviews. he really wants you to succeed and improve your writing style, not make you feel inferior like most english teachers do.

Show up at the beginning of the semester, and occasionally during the semester and turn in your papers on time and you'll make AT LEAST a B. If you already know how to write all the better. Blow some warm air in his direction and you'll make an A.

Arnold is an awesome professor! His assignments are always VERY clear and VERY specific as to what he's looking for in a paper; he always gives out an outline of his expectations are for each assignment. He's also very helpful. I highly recommend him.

I'm unsure why anyone would put him down as a teacher. He was thought provoking and clear. If you did what he said, you got an A. He expects college level papers which means you have to put time into them. Keep the discussion going- he loves it!

Arnold is the man. Has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and is very fair to all students. There are readings from time to time, but none are too extensive. Take him, he's a good professor.

AMAZING ENGLISH TEACHER! EASY A! TAKE HIM. He gives 4 papers and a final. Watch out though... POP QUIZES! Read when he says to, its not much, like 10 pages. He even does conference with each student before each paper to make sure its good and that you get an A. He is a bit dry, but you can deal!

Mr. Arnold may have a dry sense of humor but he's pretty damn funny. The writing stuff he taught was useful (i still use it in other classes), none of the papers were too hard, he answered my emails, he wasn't a hard grader...what is there to complain about?

Easy class. Teacher doesn't seem like he worries about the little things like getting papers in ontime, grammer,etc and he's pretty understanding if you went to a bad HS. I don't know what "dry" means, but he reminds me the guy from old Star Trek shows...guy with the pointy ears. Sort of boring

Its a fun class to be in even though he talks about his french car a lot.

I found him very laidback and easygoing. There's a lot of work to complete in a short time in 1103, but he takes it step by step. Our class thought he was funny.

Mr. Arnold is GREAT for ENGL 1101, but..... For 1102, DON'T TAKE! To much work for the type of course as compared to other teachers. Reptative assignments, many quizzes, so much unneeded work! But as always- funny dry humor, good guy, easy grader. 1101, yes! 1102, NO!

Fairly easy professor, very sarcastic and dark humored--but still pretty funny. Class moderately difficult--writing papers will be nearly everything you do in there--helpful with papers, helps you to write a better paper to get a better grade. Great teacher overall.

Not a hard class. Very interesting subject-matter. Wrote approx 4-5 papers. Paper topics were interesting so writing wasn't hard. He'll help if you'll just go and ask him. If you don't go to class you won't get an A although it's not difficult to get an A if you'll just do the assignments. I'd take another one of his classes. I highly recommend him

Our class really liked him....in 1103 there's a lot to cram into one semester, but i really thought that Mr. Arnold took everything step by step, broke down everything, and gave really good notes. his class didnt stress me out or overwhelm me.

he is really nice and laid back. pretty easy class and the first time i have actually enjoyed an english class. he really tries to help you with your papers with conferences that cancel classes. papers are not too hard actually some are interesting since you always get to pick your own topics. you have to take english so make it easy.

Arnold is an awesome teacher! I hate English and writing but he made it more interesting. He CAN be boring and is monotone but he is very helpful (and humorous at times). He is pretty easy as far as grading. He gives 4 main papers and then little assignments. If you half way try, you will do good!

Unlike other instructors that make up thier own curricula to help students pass or b/c they think they can teach them "valuable life lessons", this guy is clear and organized. He teaches u exactly what you need to write at the college level. His class will improve your skills for ALL your future classes. I know cause I had him 3yrs ago.

He has a different sense of humor that helps keep the class going. He is organized and approachable. There are several quizzes and papers that can be hard, but that is why you take an ENG class. I would take another class from him.

teaches by the book, grades easy, there are a number of papers, but most are 1 to 1/2 pages in length and all the small papers are associated with the bigger ones so you can use a lot of the same material/text. you'll have papers to turn in almost every class, but they are one page double spaced usually...easy. very helpful if you need it.

He is great teacher. He intimidates you the first day with a huge list of assignments on the syllabus. But he is great teacher. Very clear on what he expects. He grades fair. I was completely not interested in this topic prior to the class but he has completely changed my outlook on globalization and Africa. Not to mention my writing skills have become better. Mr. Arnold is the BEST professor ever! He helps me with EVERYTHING. He also has private confrences with you before your first and second papers are due to help you with it and give suggestions before you have to turn it in for a grade. He also lets us out early! Easiest English class in my life. Arnold is an alright teacher, he's not the best, but definitely not bad. Very lenient on grading. I recommend him for anyone looking for an unchallenging English course. We learned how to brainstorm for a paper - WOW!

Great professor! Extremely helpful when it comes to writing your essays. You are assigned 4 essays to write. You turn in a first draft, and spend a class period doing peer review, which is very helpful. Also will cancel class to make conference time to improve essays. I highly recommend taking this class and professor!

I love his humor. His personality is amazing as long as you are laid back. He can be a bit disorginized but he knows it and trys to fix it. His papers are super easy and he provides help if you ask. If you are a poor writer you should take him. If you are into English and you are proper you may find him stupid. I loved him!

I had Robert for 1101, and 1102, because I liked him so much! He is really laid back, easy papers, not good at grading fast and returning papers, but if you drop by his office he will be more than happy to discuss grades! His sense of humor dry but funny and overall I loved his class!!

Interesting discussions in class and he is funny! It takes some students awhile to catch on to his sense of humor. I highly recommend him and he's kinda cute in a mid-30s bald guy way.

Mr. Arnold is great! He is very funny, and laid back, so he does everything he can to make his class enjoyable. He has cancelled class before, and the little work he does assign is extremely easy, but still relevant and useful to the course.

Arnold is extremely easy-going in this class. There was a simple, one page reflection due almost weekly. These were opinion papers and he graded them lightly. I know there were several I turned in a week to a month late and there was no penalty. There was an ePortfolio due at the end of the semester. He's extremely funny, highly recommend.

Easiest Class I have ever taken in my life! attend class, take the little quizzes, and write all the papers he requires. If you cant Ace this class you should not be in College.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this class! If you get the chance to take this class DO IT. So easy its not even funny and he cancels class 85% of the time.

The class requires you to read 4-5 books, and write a 1 page summary of each book. He says the attendance is mandatory but never takes it. The only complaint I have about him is that he cancels class A LOT.if you commute like me you drive all the way here just to find out he sent an e-mail cancelling class 30 minutes before it was supposedtostart.

His community service class is really easy but you MUST plan ahead. It is easy to not fully complete the hours and if you don't you will get an INCOMPLETE!

We very rarely had class, and when we did we got out super early. If you can BS a one page essay on the honors summer reading, you can get an A. You have to make an online portfolio, but it was super easy.

This class is extremely easy although it is boring. Professor Arnold rarely takes attendance but class is mostly just various speakers and presenters.

This class was a joke. Hardly any work and no tests. I don't see the purpose of it. Professor Arnold is really laid back and overall a nice guy.

Professor Arnold was very nice and had an interesting personality. Some of the topics like citations are boring, but he knows that so the suffering isn't as bad.

This class was so easy. He understands its a one hour credit course and does not make it hard. You do maybe 5 assignments the whole semester, not bad at all. Dr. Arnold is such a cool guy and skateboards to class. Everything relies on your Portfolio at the end, which is just your reflective essays, wellness passports, city as text project, etc.

Dr. Arnold was really laid back and the class was practically graded on participation. He is a lot less strict than some alternative professors. There were maybe 5 assignments over the whole semester.

He made an 8:00 class very bearable. He is very hilarious and makes a joke about everything. He is very helpful with every assignment and basically walks you through it. Helps you if you just ask for help.

Great professor all around. Funny, chill with deadlines, cancelled our final exam time altogether just give us more time to work on portfolio just because one person asked. Not too much work assigned either. Would love to take another class with him.

This class is an easy A. Professor Arnold makes the lectures as interesting as possible and is always making jokes. Not a lot of work and the work he does give isn't hard. I recommend this class if you are looking for an easy Writing Intensive.

Dr. Arnold is doing excellent job on explaining things. Especial when it comes to writing essays or paper. He discussed about the material before doing assignment. It makes writing easier and not spend too much time on thinking about what to write. I recommend this professor for writing class.

Prof. Arnold was awesome! I completely forgot to do a test one time, I was super nervous to email him thinking for sure I would get a zero, but he was super chill and completely understood. If I could take every college class with him I would! He is amazing!
