He's helpful and know's his material. Go to class and you'll do fine!
Not bad as a prof, just make sure you attend all class as some questions from the weekly test come from his lecture.
Not bad as a prof just make sure you attend all class as some questions from the weekly test come from his lecture.
Good prof!
ok prof, he just seems nervous at times.
Good. His tests come out of the textbook, so study it.
Fair marker and his tests come out of the textbook.
Excellent!
The best professor I have had thus far! Kind, fair, eager to help students. Highly recommend!
Not bad, that's all.
He doesn't mark fairly when it comes to participation, ask questions like no tomorrow :/
Awesome! Made the class interesting and fun.
13 weeks term zoomed by in no time.
Material is boring, especially the journals.
One of the worst professor I ever cam across in 3 years at Ryerson. Course is informative but his lack of enthusiasm makes it dull. I hope Chang school gets rid of him as soon as possible.
Good individual but a horrible teacher. Does not give grades, notes are not posted at appropriate times. EX: He wont post the assignment dileverables online. Had a bad experience.
Worst class and professor!! Average score of 6/10 on all the assignments and group projects which were worth around 50%. He expects a lot and fails to dilever himself.
Good course, bad prof
Worst prof ever came across
Very uninteresting course. Feels like wasting 550$ for nothing.
Vague course with a rough marking professor- select alternate professor if possible.
Try switching this professor to other. He has bizzar grading system. Had a bad experience.
Worst professor ever.
Course was long and boring and classes are so, so.
I am being very logical here. This prof doesn't seem to care much about the curriculum nor the students. The contents on the tests are unreasonably in depth from the text book. He expects students to know all the details from the textbook considering the amount of reading. He marks the assignments/tests them very late which causes problems at times
This guy marks everything late, marks everything harsh and does not care about his students at all. His "assignments" are actually quizzes/tests which cover tidious details from the readings so make sure you have them memorized by heart.
tough marker, gives marks back very late
He is very nice in lectures. But extremely unclear on his expectations. He marks extremely tough and returns assignments very late so you don't have much of a chance to question his marking scheme. His comments on assignments are very limited and he never returns the assignment rubric so students don't know where they went wrong.
The tests during the term are difficult but the oral presentation and final assignment will easy. The points lost during the tests you will gain back in the final assignment. Not a bad course and not a bad prof.
I missed a few classes and I still managed to get an "A". The tests are manageable and the final assignment and oral presentation are easy. If you don't attend each class and participate in each class you will get a low mark. An ok class.
Course is structured weird, but he does his best to make it interesting and fun. Very casual environment.
The guy is helpful and final assignment is pretty easy.
Great professor, he is clear in his expectations and you can easily do well on the assignments if you have the textbook.
Great Prof, just follow the assignment outlines and you'll be find. He marks hard at the beginning of the term but towards the end he becomes easy.
Great Prof, just doesn't hand out high participation marks.
He's funny, take his course if you get a chance.
Good speaker, interesting class. Marks you on grammar (understandably), but really should get someone to proof-read his slides.
I enjoyed the class, every second class he had a different person giving a talk on something. Made the course very interesting. The final exam was tricky.
Good class. The midterm was unreasonable, you need memorize the entire textbook to do well.
No tests, only in-class assignments and final assignments. Not very helpful when you ask for help, but the lectures are straight forwards and don't need to do that readings. The in-class has little to do with the lectures or the readings. Do not know his marking schemes. Don't expect a high grade, only average. Mandatory, but pretty chill.
Lot's of social media projects, assignments every 2 - 3 weeks. However the reading are really light. Easy and fun class.
Easy class, the reading are light and the assignments are quick to finish.
He's really cool, very easy going. The course has ridiculous amount of readings which in some weeks don't relate to the class topic. Skim over them and you'll be fine.
Approachable and funny. Good course but a lot of assignments. Do your assignments and you are guaranteed a B.
This course was offered for the first time and I decided to take it. Good course and good prof. The readings and writing assignment for the course are a lot but you don't have to read every article. The assignment are not difficult just long. He's amazing at responding to email. I sent emails to him after midnight and he responded within minutes.
Good prof, just needs to specify why we get the grades we get.
He takes forever to grade your assignments.
Good course and fun prof. The course was gamified so it had a twist. Lot's of exercises and quizzes.
The course only has 3 assignments, take the course!!! The case studies are long and boring but the classes tend to finish early.
Great
He's a nice guy. He makes the class engaging and fun to be there. The class consisted of mostly presentations and it sometimes got a bit boring listening to other students present. He's a fair marker, I guess. I didn't get high marks because I'm still not good at presenting. The final test was okay, if you read the textbook.
He's nice, gets to know his students and is very entertaining when it comes to teaching. his tests are average if you actually read the readings but he's a hard marker when it comes to written assignments.
Great course and very interactive, however confusing at certain points. You will need to ask for clarification
Dr. Bajko is very knowledgeable in his area and makes students work hard to also attain knowledge. You work hard, but if you put in the time and effort, your grade reflects that-just as it should in college. Some people say he is confusing, but I never got that. I always understood what was going on and why we were doing certain tasks. Highly recom
Great class. Worked hard for the grade I got, but I learned a lot. Dr. Bajko is a great professor.
He is a fair marker and a nice guy who cares about his students. It was a fun course with a very supportive environment. I definitely learned a lot about presenting from this course. You can do well if you participate, fill out the form completely know the main points of the textbook for the final test, and follow the rubric for the presentations.
Takes too long to mark assignments, gives vague answers to questions at times. The course isn't the best, lots of assignments, quizzes, and group projects. In class participation is important. The course could have been more focused, it was just one thing after another. The game part was engaging but could have been executed better.
I am actually disgusted by the lack of communication from this professor. He teaches a communications class yet does not communicate with his own students. Also he takes forever to post grades when the course outline said they would be given back in 2 weeks. This course is not hard but I am horrified by his communication skills!!!! AVOID!
Amazing class and great Prof, definitely worth taking the class! :-)
One word, AWESOME!
Avoid.
First class I have taken with him - last one I will ever take. Do not take.
Three years a into my degree and I have found the worst professor. Do not take.
It's almost funny how bad this guy is. Almost. For someone who teaches communication, he's unable to effectively convey expectations. His lecture material is very outdated (paper memos!) and should be avoided at all cost.
Honestly, i think he is one of the better profs at ryerson. hope there were more like him
amazing guy! Quirky and funny. Lectures are lively and engaging, you won't regret taking his class. You will get a good mark, guaranteed!!!
by far the best prof I had at ryerson.
Rob is a quirky, funny, fair, easy-going professor. I looked forward to his class every evening. He is very knowledgeable, and his tests reflect everything he's taught up until when it's administered. The multiple choice section is tough, but everyone in my class always got mid-80's in the written portion. I highly recommend. You will learn a lot!!
Ar first he was cool and I actually liked how he chose to do a lot of group projects. If you like being social this would be a good class. BUT, at the end when we were doing big presentations I had the worst turnout for a group I did not chose, he was the worst at solving problems just did not care enough. Also midterm was extremely hard.
so i took this class in the summer, and i never realized how someone of his stature can be quirky. I learned alot from him, but he is a hard marker- remember to listen to what he says and maybe mention it on your test, so that he can give you some bonus marks. Overall, I am very happy with this Rob and hope to be in a class with him again!
Plenty of opportunities to leave early however his lectures hardly cover anything that's on the midterm. He is not understanding or accommodating. Group project is ridiculous and the midterm is hard and NOT fair at all - not to mention he told us the format the day before. Social media class and he forces you to read. Avoid :(
Horrible professor, I am still unaware of where he pulls his grades from? Our class is 3 hours but we only have a lecture for 1.5 hours and then we get to leave early. Sounds great right? NO. The midterm was about nothing he taught us during the lectures it was all on the readings which we found out exactly 23 hours before the midterm.
Avoid at all costs!!! His classes are relatively short but if you have to leave early, he will not let you sign the attendance sheet. His midterm was just horrible. He literally told us the day before the exam that we would only be tested on readings and not on lecture material. He's also super vague when explaining what he expects on assignments.
VERY tough grader, even on participation -- his grading criteria is not clear at all and seems like he just hands out marks without an explanation or any feedback given whatsoever. AVOID!!!
He is such a hard grader. He's midterm average was around 40 on the multiple choices because despite the content it is easy he makes the question so hard. Unfair.
So unfair. he makes a course that should be easy and interesting, super hard and boring. He doesn't even answer email sometimes and he is unnecessarily strict. NEVER AGAIN.
Honestly overall a good prof. He was extremely nice in emails and answered quickly most of the time. He is abit of a tough grader in terms of assignments, you have to do more than what the rubric is asking of in order to get an A, if not youll probably get 70s. But totally possible to do well with some extra time spent on the assignments.
The simulation platform, Ametros, was unique and engaging.
He was really helpful when I had issues with Ametros( portal that we used in cmn) and was quick to reply to all my mails. He was a pretty fun!
Not engaged at all in the online discussions. Impossible to get in touch with. Does not open the assignments until one week before they are due. Provides very minimal criteria for grading and then grades incredibly harshly.
This was an asynchronous class so there were no lectures so I can't comment on how he is at teaching. He was very good at answering emails quickly as I usually had to ask him something about each assignment. His feedback is okay, not very detailed but still gives info. His assignment outlines are very clear and detailed and he seems nice.
The course was asynchronous so I can't speak how he is as a professor. The only things I would say about him is that he marks really late and Isn't very accessible outside of class.
Considering that CMN304 is completely online with MINIMAL teaching materials (no live classes + no extra readings), this professor marks very harshly. you can't use a 10 slide powerpoint as your "lecture" and then mark harshly. his feedback is thorough which i can appreciate, but regardless, the content was taught very lazily.
Awful professor. Gave mediocre grades on everything, then when I asked him to explain his grading criteria he just said it didn't matter because I did better than the class average. Forgot to release assignments until a week late then took forever to grade them. Only accessible through email since the class was online, but rarely got back to me.
I took thing course on chang through asynchronous learning so I dont have much to say about his teaching style. One thing I would say is no matter how hard I tried on each assignment he wouldn't budge giving me a higher mark, its like he just skims over everything and gives you one set grade on all your assignments.
He is a hard marker for no reason considering the assignments are fairly easy, and does not provide specified feedback either. I would expect more communication from a CMN professor, but there was hardly any. All he does is mark, assignments/instructions were given by Professor Nubla (who seems very sweet) and content is delivered through Ametros.
