I am taking Professor Beatty right now for BPA 211, principles of accounting 1. The material is difficult but he helps you understand with real world explanations and situations and has the patience to work with you if you have problems. The first tests have been a little tough but they deal with the important points and he gives partial credit.

i would definitely recommend professor reb beatty. very good understanding of material. patient and explains things until you understand and comes in early to help you if you need it. just do all of the work assigned and you will get on his good side. young and good looking as well.

Reb is a great teacher. Although I found the material to be very challenging, he really helped me until I finally did understand it. He is always willing to do everything he can for his students to succeed and he also has a great deal of patients(which is a rare quality in teachers these days)I look forward to taking another class with Reb.

Reb is an OUTSTANDING teacher!Failure is impossible if you put in a litte effort and ask for help. He arrives early if you need extra help and goes over and over the material until EVERYONE gets it. Really good teacher of a difficult subject. Professor Beatty was concerned that we learned the material rather than covering every little point on the syllabus. He would review concepts multiple times to make sure that we got it. He really helped us to build on previous concepts. Tests were challenging but not impossible. I highly recommend!

Wow, he is the reason that I am taking accounting 2. Professor Beatty is engaging and funny and always ready to work with you. He involves the class and always asks for input. This isn't a cakewalk class and the work can be challenging so he probably isn't for everyone, but if you really want to learn accounting, take him.

He is always willing to help the students who try. He makes that very clear at the beginning of the semester. The subject is difficult and it can be a lot of work but as long as you are willing to put the work in, you are bound to pass. DO THE HOMEWORK! & turn in major assignments on time. However he only gives 7 minute breaks for 3 hour class.

I had this class with Professor Reb a couple of semesters ago. It was a very enjoyable class and Professor Reb put a lot of energy into helping us with our business plans and explaining a lot of finer points that I wouldn't have considered on my own. The class was very relaxed and nice.

He is an energetic teacher who made a difficult subject palatable and even enjoyable at times. He is really funny and more important he is always willing to help and stresses that over and over. He gives lots of extra credit during the class. I will take him again.

Professor Reb is a really great, enthusiastic teacher! It is a very difficult class if you have no prior knowledge but he gives a lot of extra credit and is very willing to help students that are trying. OMG best accounting professor at the college. i failed accounting before and i was worried that i do the same in this class. he made it seem understandeable and he did extra review sessions to help us.

First impression: Definitely does not look like an accountant and seems intimidating (if you take his class or see him you'll understand). He really is a very nice guy though and an intelligent, engaging teacher. Two of the tests were really tough but lots of extra credit. Does review sessions for tests as well. Can't go wrong here.

By far the most helpful professor I've ever had. Responds to emails in a reasonable amount of time, posts grades from assignments the same day or the day after. He makes learning fun and connects the material interesting. His way of teaching is very helpful and other professors need to be more like him. Best professor hands down!!

Professor Beatty is the best professor that I have had at AACC. I looked forward to attending accounting classes, which sounds strange to say. It is not an easy class but his method makes being there fun. Attendance is not required but you get extra credit at the end of the semester if you're there all the time. I highly recommend.

It's Reb Beatty. Need I say more??? He's the definition of a fine piece of eye candy. Having him as a professor was a motivation to go to class and makes you want to do well. Fair grader. Whole lot of extra credit and the only reason I passed. Homework weekly. 3 semester tests (one take home, tougher than the rest), always willing to help, responds to emails, gives you notes (expects you to read). Very tough subject and tests were hard, but if you do all you can with extra credit and homework you will do fine.

My favorite teacher thus far, not only at AACC but everywhere. Reb is brilliant but so good at bringing the material to the level of the learner and relating it to business to help make sense. Yes, the class is difficult and yes, the tests are difficult, but at least for me he made the class easy and if you need it, he is always there to help.

Great guy. Business Statistics is not an easy class but with his lectures and ability to make up fun examples made the content not only palatable but quite enjoyable. If you want an "easy A" don't take his classes. If you want to grow as a student and enjoy yourself in class then take Reb's Accounting or Business statistics class.

I think Reb has been one of the best teachers I've had so far at AACC. I was honestly dreading accounting, but he would always stop to further explain something if anyone had questions. Reb offers a ton of extra credit as well for attendance and particpation, etc. We had homework for every chapter but had 1 to 2 weeks to complete it.

Beatty is an excellent teacher. His lectures are CLEAR and PRECISE. If you have a question just ask it and he'll answer. He may be intimidating, but he really is a decent person once you understand his style. He is very strict when it comes to rules (like phones). Honestly, I wouldn't want to take this course with anyone else. Take HIM!

HE is by far the best professor (business or otherwise) that I have ever had. I took accounting 2 with another professor as his class was already filled when i tried to sign up, and it was not even close to the experience that i had in his class. Ask for his help and Beatty is there for you.

I took Reb for BPA 201 and 202. He's just an incredible teacher. Makes these difficult concepts a walk in the park. I wouldn't take anyone else for business if I had the choice. He doesn't only teach you accounting, he teaches you life skills. He's there for you and very personable. Be ready to work, but you get the grade you deserve.

I had Reb for 202 after taking someone else for 201 and my only regret is not having him for both courses. Beyond his obvious mastery of accounting, he puts forth so much effort for his students both inside and outside of the classroom. He is a great professor and a great mentor. If you have the chance, I highly recommend that you take Reb.

I took this course with Professor Beatty in the classroom and I was initially disappointed because I had taken my other classes online, this was offered only in the classroom. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was easily my favorite, most informative class at AACC. Beatty knows the material so well and can relate it even better.

This instructor is highly knowledgeable on the course material, but more importantly he is able to communicate with students to teach the information.

Accounting is a difficult class to take online, but Prof Beatty truly cares and provides all the support you could ask for. The structure of the class is the most organized online class I've taken. The biggest challenge was that there were multiple tests required to be taken on campus. With a FT job with varying hours, that part was tough.

The class is easy, but there is so much homework. I took it during winter break so I guess I understand why it felt so crammed. I literally only did like 4 homework assignments because there was so many. The exam is 600 points, so I just did well on that and ended up with a B. Do the work and you'll get an A most def. I just didn't feel like it.

He's my first business professor at the college and he has certainly left a lasting impression on me. In fact, he knows his material so well that he practically has his notes memorized word-for-word. Girls in the class will likely fangirl over his figure and the boys will envy all his witty egotistical remarks. Writes phenomenal letters of rec too!

Professor Beatty is the best choice for an online accounting class. Syllabus and modules are clear and easy to understand. Accounting was a hard subject for me but Prof. Beatty allows you 3 attempts at homework, offers on-campus review sessions for extra credit on tests, and an index card for tests. He seems like he is very responsive and caring.

Professor Beatty is an outstanding professor and in my opinion, one of the best at AACC. He does not like students that put in the minimum effort but will go out of his way to work with you if you put forth effort and try to succeed in the class. Beatty gives you plenty of opportunities for success. For those who are not good test takers (like myself), there are lots of other points from other assignments to boost your grade. To fail, you have to try (don't do assignments or don't come to class).

I took Financial Accounting with Professor Beatty and I am now doing BPA202, Managerial Accounting, with him. Professor Beatty is an outstanding teacher and one of my favorite not only at AACC but in my educational career. He was great in the classroom and he has been fantastic in the pandemic transition to the online class.

Professor Beatty was wonderful, i would have received a better grade if i didn't finish half the semester online because of the COVID-19. He adapted very well to online and his reveiws are super wonderful and will help you get an A or B on the test. He is very clear on his grading and whats expected and is very helpful and his homework is clear.

Beatty is an excellent professor, i had him in a face-to-face class last semester and then took him online this summer and he was great in both environments. This class was set up very well and the workload was perfect for the summer. As long as you do your work, you should do great in the class.

This was a very good online course by Professor Beatty. He provides lots of helpful notes and worksheets and his own lecture videos which are really helpful, often better than the actual textbook. The Smartbook assignments are a little long. He responds quickly. I am going to take 202 with him and he is recommended.

BPA 113-876 Consumer & Personal Finance (not listed above) (online) Professor Beatty knows his material. Although we only had the online choice I would definitely take another class taught by him. He threw in a few "gimme" questions on the quizzes and exams and was readily available for students. A+++

This was a very straightforward class and the professor was very helpful and courteous. It was a few projects and if i remember correctly one quiz and a final exam. Just do the work and you will get a good grade.

This was one of my favorite professors at AACC. The class was online because of the covid pandemic but the professor responded to all of my questions quickly and gave lots of tools to help like videos and notes. The grading scale was great.

Winter course (online). Extremely straightforward and multiple ways to earn a grade in the class. Met with me virtually on several occasions even though the university was closed for winter break. In summary, this was much better than taking it at my 4 year school and I might wait for summer to do 202 with him.

I took the online 202 course over the summer. Beatty's setup is extremely straightforward and the course is easy to follow with lots of learning stuff available. No tests except for a final exam so most points come from homework and he gives multiple attempts. I failed the final and still got a B in the class. I recommend this professor.

nice guy. really helped me out a lot during the semester as I was busy with work and I got coronavirus during the semester. quick to respond to questions and e-mails and messages. wish there would be more videos from him because the ones he had were great and helped a lot with learning the concepts.

I took Beatty several years ago for Principles of Accounting 1 and 2. He still is one of my favorite professors and I can honestly say that he was better than all of the professors at the 4-year school that I transferred to. I am now in the accounting field and on my way to a CPA and I wanted to write this to thank Beatty. Take him if you can.

I am taking this class now in the classroom. He's laid back and pretty funny. There are no tests in the class anymore, just a final exam. Some strict classroom rules like no phones but a pretty good overall environment to learn in. So far so good but remember to be on time to class.

Prof Beatty is a great professor and is very knowledgeable about accounting. There are no tests throughout the semester, just smartbooks and homework which take a bit of time. Prof Beatty moves through material very quickly and although he encourages people to ask questions, he's very condescending.

Knows how to simplify examples of whatever you're currently focused on with either his experience or something that's relatable. He also tells you how you can pass and how you can easily fail the semester on the first day of class.

Really good professor, even in an online class, and I probably would have done even better in the classroom. Not a lot of work overall, no busy work, clear and concise, and does video lectures for each chapter with his own examples and worksheets that really help clarify stuff. One exam (final only).

A great professor. This was a quick summer class online so interaction was limited but Beatty sent out e-mails at least a couple of times a week with summaries and helpful hints. When I asked questions, he responded quickly. Easy to pass (C or B) if you just do the homework although the final was tough so it is hard to get an A.

He is a bit intimidating at first but lets his guard down after a few weeks and is funny, personable, and creates a fun class. I have recommended him to several friends.

We had "smartbook assignments" (just complete to get 100%) due mondays and "homework" due saturdays, you got 3 tries to complete. Also had 2 opportunities for extra credit. Tough class but really good professor. The final exam was super difficult but it is the only test in the entire class and so didn't do much to my overall grade. He rally knows the material extremely well and I actually enjoyed going to the class. I feel like I learned something that I can use in my future.

He was outstanding. I was in the 201 class in the spring and all of the girls in the back row constantly tried to get his attention, including the blond, just to set the facts straight. Aside from that, the guy knows his stuff, and for an older student with kids coming back to school, the workload was the necessary stuff and nothing more.
