The material is a little boring, but he compensates by being a great, entertaining guy. You can tell because his two favorite phrases are hockey puck and kiss off. You should be able to guess what they mean. He's retiring in May, though. :(
Bledsoe is probably my favorite professor! Intelligent, funny, interesting and interested in the success of his students. He retired in the spring ('03) but is teaching spring '04!! Yay! Retirement must be boring.
Great guy! Friendly and will do anything to help you out. Though his tests are VERY hard and extremely stressful. The class is a challenge, but if you give it some effort you'll be fine.
Loved him! However, he's not kidding when he says you'll fail if you dont study AND go to class! Interesting, funny, and helpful man. If you REALLY study the notes and cases, and you wont have to read.(Ask questions if you dont understand, trust me)
HARD CLASS. If you don't read, study, or go to class then you'll fail. Well DUH! Bledsoe's exams are tough but you'll really feel like you earned an A if you get it. Course itself was interesting and informative.
tests require a lot of studying and memorization. Very boring lectures, thinks that his class is the only class you are taking. Would never take him again.
Great Prof! Once a week class, there's no homework to worry about, so just study hard for the tests. Not so bad. Has an interesting habit of long pauses, but otherwise gives good lectures; plenty of time to take notes/discuss points, good examples. Nice guy. Book is a beast; thick with small type.
as long as u go to class do the rdgs b-4 hand and rvw ur notes b-4 the test, u will get an A. He explains concepts quite well and the fact that he has a good sense of humor makes the class a bit more interesting
3 short essay exams & 1 easy brief + optional re paper to drop a test, so grade scale is easy. lectures are long/boring. tests are tough only b/c the readings are REALLY HARD TO READ. YOU HAVE TO READ (40% test from bks only! i can't emphasize that enough. read bk/study notes & get easy B.. but for A you'll need to be able to BS well on essay exams
Good teacher. READ THE READINGS!! Lectures were long (sometimes boring). Good teacher.
Good teacher. Very into saving the world. Boring subject. Nice Guy.
Overall, good class. Lectures could be a bit dry and drawn out at times. Reading the book is a must. Tests were short answer; drawn from the notes and textbook. If you study, you'll be fine. Have to know maps...of course it is geography! Optional debate paper can be done that will replace lowest test grade (including final). Good teacher, overall.
Good teacher but his lectures can be pretty boring. His testing varies from the material in the book which can be aggrivating, but besdies that he's not a bad teacher. Also his vioce cracks a lot which I guess could be seen as entertaining.
Hard class. Boring professor. Dr.Blesoe is a nice guy, but can be boring in class. class was organized in: 1 case brief which he assigns, and 3 exams. There were two different books, and reading them was a must. exams consisted of essays. and all lecture material, as well as material assigned in both books were on the test.
Lectures can tend to be a bit dry...but overall, he's an excellent professor. I took him for vietnam war and got an A. Very fair and accomodating professor. I recommend him!
Nice guy!! Knows this subject well!! 3 tests = 90% of your grade, and a case brief = 10%. An optional research paper is available to replace a bad grade. I failed one exam, D on another, and an A on one, and an A+ on the case brief and still had a B!
Good teacher, class is pretty boring which made it hard for me to go everyday. Doesn't review before tests but won't suprise you with any material, it's all from is lecture which is very through. Need to know maps, short answer tests, fair grader. Overall good class.
Dr. B is great. Took his online class. Weekly quiz and assignments. Quizes and assignments not too difficult. You have to read the book in order to pass the quizes. Only down side was he doesnt post your quiz grades immiedatly, takes a week or so to find out your grade. Other than that he is great. Recommend.
I took this class online...I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The quizzes were only difficult if you didn't do the reading, and the assignments were all simple as long as you could sit down and focus on them. He seemed to be a lenient grader, and really cared that we learned the subject. I will be taking him again in the fall... :)
Had him for vietam. Guy knows everything, just read the book thoroughly (nothing crazy) and know definitions. Youll be good.
This was my second time taking one of Dr. B's classes. The topic is a little dry but he is very knowledgeable and entertaining. His tests are difficult to prepare for, but if you read EVERYTHING and attend EVERY CLASS you should do okay. I wouldn't mind taking another class of his, but hopefully on a topic more interesting to me! :)
Dr. Bledsoe is one of the best prof I've had at UCF. He is extremely helpful and gives you a lot of feedback. You'll definitely have to read the book to do well. Quiz and small assignments for every chapter. Take Him!
Dr. B is great! His lectures are well organized and he obviously knows what he's talking about. He did both multiple choice and essay exams and took the best 3 of 4 grades. I enjoyed his class.
Very laid back. Very funny. Very clear. Awesome all around professor. Definitely going to take him again.
Great professor! Is very clear and really knows his stuff. He really cares about your learning and is always willing to work with you. I was not very interested in the subject when I registered but he made it interesting and enjoyable. I will definitely try to take one of his courses again. Tests are very FAIR! He's funny & very laid back, too!
Great class, he is truly a nice guy. More of a self paced class with 4 module due dates and a 5 page debate paper about a current political issue. I enjoied this class a lot, only complaint is finding things on the websites he sends you to can be a bit of a wild goose chase. I forgot to turn in one assignment on time and he still took it no penilty!
I took his class online. The modules consist of a bunch of chapters lumped together but you pretty much get to work at your own pace. 1 debate paper about a current event. Some of the assignments can be difficult though because he takes direct information from web sites that seem to have changed their info and layouts. Pretty easy class though.
Dr.Bledsoe is an EXCELLENT professor. Just be prepared to read all of the material he gives you and pay attention in class. Attendace is not mandatory but I would advise not to miss a class. His exams are very difficult because they are VERY general but if you study and read the book you will do fine. He also drops your lowest grade! :)
I took his American Govt Class online!! Probably one of the best and most organized online classes. You really learn a lot and he really is helpful and interested in your learning. I wish I would've taken him F2F just to learb more. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. B
His lectures didn't necessarily connect with the reading assignments. His syllabus says: "Master the readings" Believe it! The tests were entirely composed of the readings-barely of lectures. Almost failed the first half but studied like crazy and did the extra credit and wound up with an A. Take him, he's cute and very very nice.
He is AMAZING! Bledsoe keeps the class interesting and is one of my favorite professors at UCF. You absolutely have to read the book if you want to do well. Class is not mandatory but it definately helps
I loved this prof! Online class was so easy, maybe b/c all poli-sci classes overlap so it's the same stuff. Here's how to get an A: study bold stuff in chptrs, go to book's companion site & study practice quizzes, they're the exact same questions from real quizzes. Papers are fun (he cares more about content than word count)& there are no tests!
GREAT professor!! He really knows his stuff. I would recommend him.
Great class and lectures when on topic were interesting. Tends to get off topic and sometimes goes on wildly liberal rants so if you are conservative this class might not be the best idea. But if you can ignore the rants then it's a great class to take. 4 tests, drops the lowest & then a case brief are the grade. Go to class, memorize the book.
Space Law may not have been the most"fun"class ever but it was my favorite Poli Sci class this semester.I knew exactly what the requirements were and was able to study accordingly. Lectures relate to exams, as did the very short readings.Learned a lot about law and IR.Interesting even w/o powerpoints! Not"ez"A but doable.Highly recommend 4spacelaw!
This class is awful! Don't get me wrong, he a very friendly old dude, but his class was EXTREMELY BORING and EXTREMELY hard to study for. Everything is soo vague its impossible to study for.
As far as theory classes go, this was great. Dr. B is a fabulous professor, if you want to learn something, take him.
Very nice guy and quite funny, but the class was not the most interesting. If you want to do well READ THE BOOK! No joke the tests are more out of the book than the lectures. Its better to skip class and read than to go to class and not read, but i recomend you do both
took online section, very speculative grader. takes forever to respond to emails.
I took his class during summer and loved it. everything is laid out and there are several assignment options. he is a fair grader and I got an A so it's possible with him.
Dr. Bledsoe is by far one of the the best professors at UCF!devour the textbook, go to most classes, and youll get an A. he knows and loves his stuff, helpful, cares about his students, loves teaching wants u to learn.also a VERY fair grader, i was worried about the essay questions but i now prefer his tests to any mult choice-not tricky. TAKE HIM
He is an awesome professor with a lot of teaching experience. He really cares about his students and makes class very interesting and funny. Take him!
I just started my semester with him in August so it is still pretty new, so far it has been over a month since I turned in my first assignment, it has not only gone ungraded, but he won't respond to e-mails! We have a test on Monday and he is extremely unclear about what will be on it. Usually teachers like this are very lenient graders, we'll see!
Apparently this class is usually all online. I took it as a hybrid. He had class every other week and kept you the WHOLE 3 hrs. Tests are in class and very challenging, I suggest making outlines of the chapters. It was not neccesary to attend lectures, attendance is not taken and its not on the test. An A is hard, but achieveable. Dont expect help!
He is a very ineteresting teacher! But when he keeps you the whole time, and none of his lectures are on the tests it gets hard to sit through them. Don't expect him to put up modules in time, help on the test, or for him to answer e-mails. An A is near impossible, but do-able
amazing teacher!! loved his class.... very interesting. He will keep you the whole time and the modules aren't always up on time but he is a very fair teacher and will either give you extra time or full credit for it, if it is his fault. Very knowledgeable and has been to most of the places that he talks about! Class isn't mandatory but go its fun.
Dr. B is seriously an amazing professor. I've taken 5 classes with him and he's the best professor I've had in polisci. This doesn't mean his classes are easy but he's very helpful and approachable. Makes classes funny and interesting. Take him!
Only grades come from 4 tests, the lowest of which is dropped. Tests aren't a walk in the park. Expect to READ the book and MEMORIZE the maps for each chapter. Very nice guy and extremely helpful. I got a B.
Easy class! Must read the book and be able to locate different countries, rivers, etc on maps. Only 4 tests, he drops the lowest score so its only 3 tests that he will be grading. Got an A in the class. Highly recommended! Take him!
I am currently taking on-line for summer 8 weeks. There are 13 quizzes, and 7 essays. Its not overly hard or difficult. You just need to keep up with the past of the course. The down side he is very slow at grading. I have only had 2 of my 6 essays graded with a week left.
The online course material is useless and you must read the book cover to cover. Seven essays and 14 quizzes are the only part of the assessment process. He does not teach, you teach yourself and do all the work. Do not take this course on line!! Very disappointed with the material, instruction, and interest level of the course.
Great professor! Dr. Bledsoe is great to listen to, even though he gets off track sometimes. He includes humor and his own experiences in what he says. His tests are straightforward and easy to study for. Know your maps, listen to his lectures for the essay questions, and read the textbook for the multiple choice questions. Highly recommend.
Great professor! Dr. Bledsoe is easy to listen too. He has great stories and class is real loose. He interjects his own experiences in what he says. His tests are straightforward and easy to study for. Know your maps. His essay questions come from his lectures. MUST read the textbook for the multiple choice questions. Highly recommended.
Dr. Bledsoe is a really great professor, and he expects a lot of high level work from you. I took him for the summer, and it was non-stop with the writing -but I got an A in the class, and I think this class was, by far, one of my favorites.
Excellent course and excellent prof. Learned a great deal from readings and written assignments, which are based on compelling and current topics. Never though I would enjoy an online course so much. UCF needs more profs like him.
This Class was not easy by a long shot, but not hard either. I took his class online: 14 quizzes that are somewhat difficult to pass without reading the chapter which are usually about 15-30pgs each. an then there are 7 essays which total which are 4pages per essay class was self paced. I got an A. The prof is a very sweet guy, very helpful.
I took this class over 8 weeks during the summer. By no means is this a difficult class, but it is not an easy one either. 7, 4-page essays, 14 quizzes and 14 chapter readings. It is a lot of work but it was a great class and Dr. Bledsoe is awesome!
WORST TEACHER EVER. im a straight a student and i'm FAILING his class. rambles on in lectures forever, which btw hardly pertain to exam material. expect to read the entire textbook front to back, memorize maps, and teach yourself the material. zero assistance in helping prepare for exam. nice guy, awful teacher. spare your gpa and take someone else
RIDICULOUS!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! STAY AWAY! His lectures have absolutely nothing to do with what we are learning. Be prepared to memorize literally every map and everything from the textbook. He says come to class but he talks about pointless things that have nothing to do with the class. So dont bother. Avoid this professor like the plague
Take this course with Dr. B. He is very helpful and knowledgeable. He also drops your lowest exam grade, so when you fail the first exam (because you will), just remember his exam and question style and you will know how to study for the rest of the exams. Not an easy A, but also not a difficult one.
While Dr. Bledsoe does go off on tangents from time to time, they are relevant to the world perspective if not always the test material. Test material comes from lecture material, textbook terms, and maps. He gives the option for a huge extra credit project at the beginning of the class and drops your lowest test, no cumulative final either.
Seriously easiest class I've ever taken. His lectures can be boring, but some of the essay questions come out of them. All you have to do is read through the material. Memorize the maps because each map you memorize is an easy 10 points on the test.
Took this class online in the Spring. The quizzes are VERY DIFFICULT so make sure you at least outline the LONG chapters in Word as you're reading so you can ctrl+F what page to refer to during the quiz. That helped me a lot. Otherwise the essays are very fair and he gives excellent feedback. Got a high B, and I'm ok with that!
8 week online summer course Most importantly, this guy is there for you. I had an issue with the university that put my life in his hands. Despite the syllabus, go to him for help. You'll be surprised. 14 quizzes and it's open book. Open book. Don't buy the book! Internet is a thing. 7 essays and the content is extremely interesting and fun.
He is a great professor! He also cracks a few jokes in class that are hilarious. If you study the lecture notes you will get good grades on his exams. I have also gone to his office hours and he is very kind and willing to help.
When you sign up for any of Professor Blesoe's online courses you are not signing up to be taught by him, but rather whoever his Teach Assistant is at the time. This class is centered around doing papers, but I should warn you that you're not going to like it. The instructions are poor at best, and half of the sites provided did not work. Yikes!
TA does the actual grading for essays, which makes it hard to know how well you'll do (they're the biggest portion of your grade). Quizzes are easy, having the textbook definitely helps. Bledsoe is very clear and sticks to the grading criteria and will help if you ask for it.
Dr. B made International Law one of my favorite classes. He's an entertaining and funny lecturer, so it's worthwhile to go to class. 4 exams, with the lowest one dropped, and 1 case brief. If you pay attention in class and memorize the cases, you'll do well on the exams. UNDERLINE CASE NAMES AND ALL LATIN WORDS ON EXAMS! Highly recommend!
Interesting lectures, book is a necessity as a lot of test questions come from it, due to health problems class became online for part of the semester and the essays were pretty easy, just required critically analyzing the subjects. If you have an A in the class you do not need to take the final, overall really really cool professor, nice guy.
The whole class is based on online quizzes and 4-page essays due every 2 weeks. I was intimidated at first, but as long as you know the source he gives you for the essays, it is not hard. Also you can use the textbook for quizzes. Textbook chapters are long. You don't have to be a great essay writer. I would recommend this class.
Dr. Bledsoe's geography class was straight to the point. Lots of reading! Although not easy, there are quizzes and a paper due every other week. His response to emails are prompt and he seems to really care about your efforts in his class. I would definitely recommend.
Dr. Bledsoe is my favorite professor, but his classes are hard. Expect to work more in this class, but you will also get much more out of it. He's a quality professor that makes sure his students actually learn something.
Seven papers. Had to use specific outdated non-scholarly sources, including a fifteen year old reality show, an outdated personal blog with incorrect information, controversial news sources, and more. He had two assistants grade papers and they were never consistent with each other or themselves in their grading. Never graded anything.
The class wasn't hard there is only quizzes and essays to be graded on. I never read the textbook, you should however read it, it will help with the quizzes. He opens everything at once so you can start working right away. His TAs grade the paper and they're a little tough to please. I took him for two classes and one more coming up
I took Robert for International Environmental Law and I am not going to lie, I did not go to the majority of classes. I just read on my own time and did decently on the tests - his lectures are kind of lackluster but he is a VERY sweet and helpful guy, if you reach out to him. Don't expect fascinating lectures unless you actually like Env. Law.
I was really worried about taking this prof. when I read all of the other ratings. He is actually a pretty good teacher, I don't feel like he is as active as I would like a prof. to be within an online environment. However, the course was fairly simple: 7 modules 1 paper + 1 quiz. Not an easy A, but it felt doable. Def. would take again!
this class is ridiculous, he makes you read like 3-4 chapters each that contain about 15 pages for his test but you go literally blind sided, you don't know what he's going to ask you, theres no study guide , just plain test ( 4) total, your grade depends on the tests he gives nothing else, he gets off topic, I wish I never took this class.
Really caring professor and sweet guy, although the material was so boring I wanted to jump out a window each class. BUT, he does all he can to spice it up with jokes and commentary. Must read the book to do well on the tests. He is a solid choice.
Class is comprised of quizzes and longer assignments - which can be essays or other types. The course is clearly laid out. You will need to read and attempt to think critically. The TA gives very direct and sometimes critical feedback on assignments but grades fairly. You need the book for the quizzes and assignments.
This class is broken down by 4 test (drops the lowest one) and a case brief. The test are all written and 10 questions. Reading the textbook (and outlining it, imo) and attending lecture is the only way to fully succeed in this course, you just cant do one. Prof Bledsoe is easy to talk to and funny. Overall, you cant slack off but good class.
Taking Prof Bledsoe was a great choice this semester. The class had only four grades with an optional book report that could replace one of your grades. Do not miss a test unless you're prepared to do the book report. He will not allow makeups no matter the situation. I found the textbook to be more important than his lectures at certain points.
Despite attendance not being mandatory, I would HIGHLY suggest going. He definitely simplifies the material from the book (the book is kind of confusing). Your grade is completely dependent on 3 exams (100 points) and a case brief (10 points). The tests were substantially more difficult for the sections that my attendance was lower. Overall hard
DO NOT TAKE HIM! AVOID IF YOU CAN BECAUSE YOU WILL FAIL. THOUGHT IT WILL BE EASY BECAUSE HE DROPS THE LOWEST GRADE BUT THE TESTS ARE HARD!!! YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK A MILLION TIMES! HIS NOTES ARE NOT ENOUGH. THE CLASS WAS FULL AT FIRST BUT MORE THAN HALF DROPPED IT! THOUGHT I COULD PASS BUT I WASNT ABLE TO. THE CLASS WAS FOR INR4401
Dr. B is a great professor who cares about his students. For this class you must read and memorize a lot of material for exams. There are 4 exams, 1 is dropped and 1 case brief. Exams are short answer format, there are no study guides so you MUST read all the chapters, take notes, and study the cases for each exam in order to pass.
Dr. B is a really special guy who cares about his students, but his class is not easy. You will have to read the textbook, put in the work, study and you will do well. Do not expect it to be a walk in the park. 4 tests and a book report that replaces your lowest test.
He is an alright professor, however, he did show mercy when I had a private emergency so that was awesome. His TA's do all of the grading and they are really tough graders with the papers. One of them was really rude for one of the essay feedback. His papers are also a little bit difficult to write because he does not provide a lot to go off of.
Dr. B is the best. If you work hard and research thoughtfully, you should have no problem. When I mean try your hardest, I mean try your hardest. But hes very responsive, helpful, and kind to his students. I wish I could take him again, so Ill be on the lookout for other classes. Plus, the topic is incredibly interesting!
Dr. Bledsoe is amazing. His class was very set-explanatory. Read 2 chapters every two weeks, take the quizzes, and do an assignment on one chapter. He opens all modules at once if you want to finish ahead of time. Unless you are not taking other classes, this is doable. He's not into late submissions but shows mercy if needed. I'll take him again
Dr. Bledsoe is a pretty solid professor. His GEO 3471 was set up in a simple manner. Every other week you have 2 quizzes and an essay (recommended 3-4 pages). The quizzes are 25 questions and you have an hour to complete them. If you're not a good a writer you may not enjoy him. I would take him again
Super interesting class on a topic that is not often taught about. One of my favorite professors at UCF, I have taken him twice so far, and plan to take him again in the future. Class had 6 assignments, but only 5 counted for a grade. Each was a paper based on a module. Two weeks between each due date, but all are open at the beginning.
As long as you pay attention and go to class you are guaranteed an A. His exams are super straight forward and predictable. Bledsoe is a pretty funny guy. Attendance isn't mandatory but in class concepts appear on the exams so you are definitely going to want to go to class! Definitely taking him again in the future
Joke of a professor. Impossible tests based off of a textbook that's NOT easy to read but you must read it because you won't expect him to actually lecture during LECTURE time. Expect rants about climate change without any substantial information. If you have a good memory and can easily teach yourself from a textbook go for it otherwise stay away.
Prof. Bledsoe was great. Not too much work not to little to actually learn. Just read material, quiz and a few short papers. Upper level classes require commitment to understanding the topic. Nothing too hard here. Pay attention Easy A
thanks to the virus, before hand i had a 67 so the online switch drove me up to a 84. 4 exams each worth 25% and an optional book report which can replace a lower graded exam.
Exceedingly clear class schedule, probably the best online class I've ever taken because of how organised it was. No final or midterm!! Ten chapters to read, Ten (open book!) quizzes to take, and six 3-4 page essays to write, one each week. He's super liberal on the essay guidelines, so its no sweat at all to write them, just answer the prompts.
You are gonna work in this class, every 2 weeks 2 quizzes and a paper to write are due. The quizzes use things explicitly said in the textbook and the essays are actually really easy. I think this class was not hard at all, it is important to note that an online copy of the textbook is necessary.
There is no textbook. 6 essays worth 100 points, class taken out of 500 points. 6th assignment either replaces lowest grade, or one you might have skipped, or if you have the grade you want after the first 5 papers, skip the last one. Pay close attention to answering each individual element of the prompt, and you'll get an A.
Class is 7 modules, each with a 4 page paper and 2 quizzes, each are 25 questions each, timed at 60 minutes. Quizzes come from book chapters. Workload is high, but all modules open at the beginning of the semester so it is easy to plan for. Interesting material, responsive professor.
A well-organized and straightforward online class. 2 quizzes & an essay due every 2 weeks, so 7 papers in total. Essays can be tedious and a bit vague, but you get feedback & they're graded leniently. Quiz questions generally easy to find in textbook, and chapters can be skimmed quickly. Dr. B was easy to reach, kind, and generous about late work.
I took Bledsoe for GEO-3471. His pros are - Great feedback to students and clear communications. Also grading style and dates are easy to follow. The only cons to me is that his class for GEO-3471 didn't have homework and only had essays and quizzes. But overall Bledsoe is a great professor and I highly recommend.
You write a lot but he is an easy grader. The quizzes had some mistakes which was kinda annoying but he always fixed them so the class was passable. To get a good grade yo just need to be on top of it
Dr. Bledsoe was, by far, my favorite professor at UCF. I took him my first semester for World Political Geography and enjoyed his lectures so much I took him 4 more times before I finished my undergrad. I received As in every course I took with him. However, this is not to say he is an "easy A". However, if you do what is expected, you will do well
If you have to take his class, do it online. He is not very helpful and you will be graded by a crazy number of things.
I took Professor Bledsoe for international law and I thoroughly enjoyed his class and having him as a professor :) he cares about his students and is a great professor
Bledsoe doesnt get enough credit. His quizzes can be annoying bc you cant find everything in the book but he always fixed the grades accordingly. REALLY understandable with students and their responsibilities. Overall really sweet guy and definitely cares about his students. Nothing but good things to say
Great professor. Passionate about what he teaches and class was easy to navigate
Aside from the rambling lectures, Bledsoe feels the need to bash a Republican politician or policy at least once a lecture.
Amazing professor, he is very understanding and genuinely wants you to learn. The topics can be dense in the textbook but he makes the information easier to understand using examples and joking with the class. There are only five grades for the entire semester, so I wouldn't recommend missing lectures it only made things more confusing
Pretty interesting class, lots of new material for anyone in polysci. 6 assignments, only 5 need to be done. Essentially, he gives a step by step rubric as to what should be in your papers. And it is quite literally step by step, even a few sentences on a topic can count. Pretty spaced out, maybe two 4-7 page papers a month at most.
I came into this class with no prior knowledge of INR, but did very well in the end. Exams are a combo of lecture and textbook notes. Only grades are 4 written response exams and and extra credit paper that replaces 1 exam. Overall, it is relatively easy and educational if you make a guide and study it well. Very considerate and nice professor.
Four tests, one optional paper. As long and you take notes and actually read the text book youll be fine. For his tests all I had to do was read through the in-class notes and read through the key concepts of the textbook until I was comfortable with the content. Dr. Bledsoe is a great teacher overall, no complaints.
Bledsoe is a very nice man and wants you to succeed, however you have to work for it. Attendance isnt mandatory but missing class will only hurt you. When he tells you to read the book, READ IT. His grades are only 4 exams (1 dropped) and a case brief. Exams are really hard if you didnt read the textbook and you will fail if you didnt.
Overall, this class wasn't horrible. The prof opens up all the online modules when the semester starts, so you can get ahead. I found the essays to be tedious, but overall he and his TA were not difficult graders. You'll be reading a lot from a boring textbook. The class was bearable and just take ur time on the quizzes
There was 10 quizzes and 5 paper/written assignments. The written assignments were tough and time consuming but they were totally doable and not harshly graded. The quizzes were super tedious. You get one hour for 20 questions and you need the whole hour. Textbook is dense and boring, necessary to pass. Overall a good option!
I loved this class. Professor is very knowledgeable & experienced. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going every class b/c he doesn't post lectures on canvas. Be sure to read the textbook and study your lecture notes for the tests! Tests written, short answers. There are only 4 exams and one optional paper to replace lowest exam grade.
Professor Bledsoes class was interesting tough but manageable. His instructions are not very clear but he is a fair grader. There were 5 essays it requires critical thinking, and there are 5 quizzes. Some of the questions are from the book some are not. Just do your work took for summer B fast paced course you have to keep up !
Beware his quizzes are a little unfair. the questions are very poorly worded and do not always correlate to what the book says. You also only get 60 minutes on the quizzes and you need the entire time to take them. Luckily his TA's grade very easy on the papers. Overall, class wasn't awful.
There are only 4 grades to this class so you really have to study and hit the books. The exams consist of lectures and 3 chapters. Do the inquisitives and read the book and you should be fine.
Dr. Bledsoe's online International Law course is the type of course you need to be a pretty good writer for, and know what you're doing. The quizzes can be tricky, as they require extreme attention to detail, and I wasn't a fan of the textbook. However he did provide good feedback when needed.
Professor Bledsoe is amazing. There are four written response exams with the lowest grade dropped and one case brief. Reading the chapters and taking good notes from his lectures are very important. Attendance isn't mandatory but his lectures are vital to the tests. I really enjoyed the class; he makes it super interesting and is very witty.
Grade based exclusively on 4 exams. 10 short answer questions. There is an extra credit opportunity to replace one of the exams with a "debate project" which is an essay out of a list of topics of his choosing. He is very political and managed to bring his hatred of DeSantis into our international relations class
Only assignments are 4 tests he does (3 chapters each), you are allowed to do a debate project if you miss an exam or did bad on an exam and the grade of the debate overrides the test. Lectures are kind of a waste of time cause you really just need to read the book and you'll be ok. Professors knows a lot and is very nice.
Professor Bledsoe's class was interesting and tough but manageable. His instructions are not very clear but he is a fair grader. He was such a sweet and respectable professor. He retired last spring but I would so take his class again
Professor Bledsoe's INR2002 class has a manageable workload - 4 exams plus an optional paper. Read the textbook, attend lectures, and use unstuck AI for efficient study prep. Overall, a good course.
