3 tests, dont have to show to class but come the day before test

Ummmm....all you have to do is show up the day before the test for the review and you'll do fine. He's an easy teacher but he's really boring. I don't suggest taking him late in the day or after lunch.

You don't need to go to class, he gives you the questions for the exam, he's very nice, class is very easy

He's easy, but his tests are way TOO long. Just go the day before the test and he gives you all the questions. Don't be mislead, you do have to look up all the answers and study long for the test.

He's one of the best teachers I have taken...don't listen to the bad reviews. As long as you can come to the exam review and at least try to study, you will get an A on the tests. It's almost impossible to do bad. He's a super nice guy! :)

He is very nice...no one goes to class because they thinks it's boring, but I tried to make almost every lecture, he's a sweetie, and for showing ujp- he sometimes gives x-tra credit- taking random attendance. He's great!

Had him as an undergrad in 98 and I see he hasnt changed much. He was an easy teacher then and I see he still is. Not a challenging course at all, so if you want an easy grade, take him

He knows the material because he wrote it and uses his material directly from the book. His tests are directly from the book. So there is no way you can't have the material. He gives you the reviews directly from the test

Not the most exciting speaker, but very knowledgable. Whoever complained about his reviews taking hours of studying, never went to class. It takes 2hours to study if youre there to take the notes and listen. Its worth it. If you think its hard, youre lazy

Very easy class. He wrote the book and he reads it to you. He gives you a great test review. I don't see what the big deal is. It isn't any more boring than my other classes. I recommend this professor.

Very boring professor, reads out of book that he wrote. Not as easy as everyone makes him out to be, great reviews but it is mainly just memorizing the chapters for his exams.

He wrote the book, so he knows what he's talking about, but the tests are very intense (memorize everything) and the lectures are dull. Students are really rude though, don't come to class if you aren't gonna stay. He doesn't take attendance after all.

This teacher is really boring! I just attended the review, and he sticks to his syllabus, so that's helpful. The reviews are really long, but as long as you find the answers and memorize them, you'll do fine.

Just go to review, he gives you all the test questions. Yeah his tests are a little unclear but it isnt impossible.

Just get the book and go to the review, if you cram this is the class to take, no papers, only 3 exams, spend a couple of hours the night before and you will be fine...

Very easy class to get a B in. Only class you need to attend is the Review and the Test. He gives all the questions so as long as you study that, it will be an easy A. Not the most imteresting, but could definitely help GPA.

Hes a cool guy its just a boring class....Just make sure u DONT cram the night before, it sucks. However, he gives u the COMPLETE 100 question review...very nice=)

This class is super easy!!! Yes hes not the most interesting teacher but theres nothing hard about the class go to the review find all the answers to the questions and you will get an A or a B in the class.

undergrad and grad are completely different. undergad is very easy, boring lectures but complete review for test. grad is student presentations... also easy if you like giving presentations.. grad was very fun!

dont ever go to class, for your own sake. just read the chapters thoroughly and you'll do fine on the tests

Kinda boring but if you go to class, take notes, and write down page numbers on key points, when he gives the test review you will know where all the answers are and you wont have to read the book cause you will have already read it in class while taking notes making the review soo easy you will be done in 2 hours tops!!

The easiest class I have ever taken! He's extremely boring though, so I only showed up on test day.

Monotone, but VERY PASSIONATE about what he teaches. You don't need to go to class, but it makes him feel good. How would you like to speak to an almost empty lecture hall? Unless you're REALLY going to fall asleep, GO TO CLASS! Very helpful. Study guides are on the syllabus!! 4 tests. Pretty easy. All come right from the book (Ch. approx. 10 pgs)

Do not take this class! Sitting in a dark room with a monotone man just BLAH BLAH BLAH...you will fall asleep...(that is when you go).

The book is your notes for class. The study guides are given in the syllabus and attendance isn't at all required but helpful. Go to class just to see the yellow pants...it's worth it!!

Very nice guy! He is really passionate about what he teaches. If you read the book you'll do fine! He really makes it easy for his students! He goes over material that WILL be on the exams. His power points come right from the book he wrote which is where the exam questions come from! You do have to study to do well but he makes class enjoyable!

Great teacher. Very smart. Attendance will help for some to learn but the info is all in the book. Nice and helpful. I thought funny too.

Bohm is a great professor. You can really tell he loves his job, but this class is what he lives for. Don't only take Bohm. Take his death penalty class. You will learn so much no matter which side you are on.

Great teacher! You don't have to show up to class at all, just read the book and do the study guides he hands out with the syllabus before each test. Do this and you'll do great in the class. Whole class is a total of 4 tests, no comprehensive final. Would definitely take a class with him again.

Did not like this guy. First B i have gotten in 2 years - tests are way too nit picky, 100 questions based on % and random facts that have rally no relevance. Going to class does not make a different, but the subject matter in class was interesting. I would like this class if his tests were more based on pertinent information than useless facts

Tests require studying, but attendance is not required. 4 tests, all the info comes from the book he wrote. The syllabus contains learning objectives that he uses to make the tests. Fairly easy if you do the work to study

You do not need to attend this class. I attended for the first two tests. Stopped attending half way through and still got the same scores. There is not that much material to know but it can get very tedious at times. Be prepared for four 100 question tests that are relatively difficult. You must study very hard to pass

I really liked him! He is fairly interesting and you can pull good grades without going to class. He uses a little book that he wrote and his notes are word for word from the book. Class is not bad at all! Your grade is determined by 4 tests(1/2 multiple choice and 1/2 true/false). He lectures with powerpoints & everything that is on the powerpoints are in the book, WORD FOR WORD. He wrote the book! he is really nice,and gives out study guides for the test. If you study the guides you'll do good. Take him!

THE ONLY WORK YOU HAVE TO DO IN THIS CLASS IS READ THE BOOK WHICH IS ACTUALLY KIND OF INTERESTING AT TIMES AND SMALL. I ONLY SHOWED UP FOR TESTS DAYS AND GOT A "B" IN THE CLASS. TRUST ME HE IS BETTER THAN ANY OF THE OTHER PROFESSORS THAT TEACH THIS COURSE.

Took Dr. Bohm for grad-level Death Penalty. You learn so much and he is very, very smart. Great guy! Class is NOT easy but you get a lot out of it. There are 2 debates (1 pro 1 con) and a final paper 10-15pages. If you are interested in the DP this is a class for you. Def need his book for the weekly 2page summaries. Awesome class would take again

I showed up the first day to get the syllabus, one other time, and 4 times for the tests. The tests are directly off of his study guide, which are long. 80-100 question tests that are monotonous and worded in a tricky manner. After 30 questions it's hard to keep reading, yet the questions become more deceitful. You need the book (his own).

Bohm is a great professor. No, you do not need to attend every class and he will not take attendance. Lecture material and test questions come directly from HIS textbook. He will answer any questions you need and is very helpful. I believe I was the only student who went to office hours, but I also received an A. Very easy if you put in the effort.

Lots of questions on the test 80-100. Long study guides but answers are word for word out of his book. Just attend class pay attention to the slides and complete your study guides and you should get an A. I never showed up/studied and got a B. Definitely recommended.

Easy class and Easy A. Professor Bohm gives a syllabus with a study guide for each test, which is exactly where he gets test questions from. Although it is not mandatory or necessary to go to class make sure he knows your name and face because at the end of the semester he gives etc for going to class and participating.

For sure A! He gives the questions to all the exams in the syllabus. "The learning objectives" are the exact exam questions! And the answers are word for word from the text book. Easy A! Don't need to go to class because he gives the questions to the exam on day one and does not take attendance.

He is an AMAZING professor..took him for 3 classes already..though he does read from powerpoints alot, he is a sweet man. His exams are SUPER EASY because he gives you the exact same questions in the syllabus..just find them word for word in book..remember them and you get an easy A..WISH HE HAD MORE CLASSES..recommend him! 1 of best at UCF

EASY A!!! anyone saying his class is hard is not college material by ANY means. He gives you the questions to the tests! & the answers to those questions are in the book word for word!! you could literally just memorize the answers to the questions its not rocket science people. The most boring professor I've ever had to experience. He wrote the book the class uses and the powerpoints are the books echoed verbatim. I skipped 2 months worth of class and earned an A. 4 exams. Read the chapters more than once. He writes exam guides. Fill them out and you'll get an A. Though I didn't really learn anything. Take anyone else.

If I paid too much attention to what the review said about Dr. Bohm, I wouldn't have registered for his Graduate Death Penalty course. Dr. Bohm is a hard grader but a fair professor. If one is not ready to learn then too bad, stay home. If one is ready to learn then take him. His graduate class was the most amazing class I've taken so far.

UCF is lucky to have Dr. Bohm. Well regarded throughout the criminal justice academic community. As a transfer from FSU he was referenced in several of my criminal justice classes. Highly recommend.
