He is a very engaging very passionate professor, but he cares to much about this subject. He treats HIST 102 (a tier 1 history core) as a major class with "oxford standard grading" and only 4 assignments. 2 tests 2 papers. I LOVED Dr. Bucholz, he is an amazing teacher and his lectures are like stories. You have to choose a discussion session and that is where you get the majority of your points and its led by students. I had Emily Page and she was amazing. 2 papers, midterm and final. Prepare and study and you'll be fine. I think the student teachers grade everything

Bucholz rly is an exceptional and talented lecturer. He knows how to grab your attention, and class is actually entertaining. Leans left politically, but that's to be expected. Your grade is entirely dependent on the TA's however. Mine was super chill, but I've heard none of them were horrible. Put in some work, and you'll get an A no prob.
