This class is easy if you actually pay attention to lectures and take down good notes. All of his tests come from his notes, and his tests are multiple choice. The other two reviewers probably did not pay attention or take good notes.

Very nice teacher. He's easy too...if you actually pay attention when he shows movies and when he gives lectures. Taking notes helps too. It isn't rocket science. His class is impossible to fail.

Easy class. Just follow directions. He leaves the room during quizzes too...it don't get much easier than that.

Nice guy, great teacher. I learned a lot. His class isn't as easy as the other two say it is, but I WOULD go out on a limb and say that it is impossible to fail, because he is a fair grader and there are many grade opportunities.

Great teacher, I loved him. Lectures were never boring, and he was also very friendly and always willing to help with my Gordon Rule paper. Quizzes were easy, only the final test was a little difficult.

the class was an easy class. the speeches were simple and he assigned topics that wouldnt be difficult for anyone. he was fair for the most part. (although i am resentful for a B i received on a speech that was 1 minute too long. when a girl received and A for a speech that was 3 minutes too short.)

i took him in the summer. he was very easy, you go online and get the answers for the test, memorize it and come back and take the same test. you only give two speech and informative and persuasive. that's it. easy man. I highly recommend

He is a very easy teacher as long as you study for the tests. The tests are exactly the same as the review from the website. But the only thing he is very boring but other then that he great.

This teacher is excellent, the tests are right out of the website and you only have 2 speeches.I took him for summer term and he is very easy and interesting.

Professor Buford is a wonderful teacher and person. Show up to his class all the time on time (if your tardy it's an absence), study for the tests, and rehearse your speeches, you should get an "A" in this class. Just really take the speeches serious, show that you put effort into it and rehearse, rehearse, rehearse!

Don't miss out. He is one of those special professors. The guy is not boring and his work and test are easy. You are guranteed to pass if you try.

Excellent professor. Everyone should take him before he retires. He is very funny, easy exams. He is a great teacher all students should sign up for his class. Also, the easiest writing credit you can ever do.

I took his class over the summer and he was great. The only part I was uncomfortable with was making my speech. After the first try at it I was okay. His test are easy and he is a great professor. He always makes time to talk to his students, so don't be afraid to approach him because I wasn't.So,all I have to say to his students is to have Fun!!

this is an extremely easy class. all you have to do is show up and study the test from online and the back of the book. his jokes are dry but he is cool. you should take the class.

His class was awesome, easy A if you can even barely speak english. If you can't, start memorizing for the speeches and the tests, and you'll still get an A. Really nice, funny, class is interesting. You don't need the book, all test questions come from online review, he'll point it out to you even. Highly recommended class, take it if you can :D

This teacher was good. You can only miss three classes after the third one you will be dropped. All you have to do is go on his website and review the mutiple choice test that are there. Make sure you study them. That will be your test. There is only like three test and 2 speeches but that was during summer so maybe one more speech during Fall.

This professor was great! He dosen't ask for much. He's understanding. You do 4 speeches the entire semester. The exams are easy as long as you study. He's funny. I always laughed in his class :)

Took his class everyday during the summer. He is a good man god bless him, but he was soooo boring that early in the morning. But his class was amazingly easy. He gave us the website to get the answers and didnt even change the questions! Want an easy A? Definitely take him.

His class was ok, but towards the end of the term, he became somewhat annoying. We did 4 speeches; two were powerpoints (informal & persuasive). And he gave me a "B" when I should have received an "A". Attendance was mandatory. But he's okay. Easier than most, I hear.

Very helpful, attendance is mandatory or he will drop you from the class. Mid term & final questions are online. Very easy A the hardest part is making sure you attend class. Students are divided into groups and each group presents three chapters out of the book plus two other presentations.

great professor, easy class and you have to come to class on time or he will kick you out. as long as you come to class on time, you'll be fine.

This professor is extremly nica and helpful. His assignments are pretty easy as well. You have two individual speeches and about four other with a group. Midterm and finals are from his website so as long as you study you have no trouble. He also gives extra credit to help you out. I would recommend this professor.

Prof. Buford is the bees knees!!! he is funny, witty and very knowledgable. His tests are easy, if you study the online reviews and the speeches are directly from the text book. He likes powerpoint presentations to be clean and simple dont over do it. Make sure you go to all his classes he will drop you for not attending after 4 classes. A+ teacher

Nice teacher....loved his southern accent. Not as hard as other speech classes I have heard about but he is definitely not such an easy grader. I was always there and got good grades on all of my presentations, yet somehow I got a "B." Attendance is mandatory!!!!!

When I read all of these glorious reviews about him I instantly picked his class for the semester. To my surprise I received a B. I thought I deserved better. Truth is he really doesn't like to give out much A's, he has said so himself! True that he's a lot easier than other speech teachers but that doesn't mean you're going to ace his class.

I thought he was very kind and very straight forward. His test are easy if you study, all information comes from the book and online quizes... he's very easy going, if you need help, JUST ask! I enjoyed taking his class! definitely recommend!

Work is straight out of the book, you do powerpoint presentations for all your speeches, and there are only 3 tests (which inlcudes the final), but he grades a little unfairly. Even though I got more A's than B's, my final grade is a B. He doesn't give A's a lot, even if you academically earn it. Easy class, but VERY boring; hard to stay awake.

Buford is Awesome n FUN!the test are exactly from the online reviews so study them when its time for the exams.DO NOT use videos in ur presentations nor links.and dnt use cellphone in class he hates it, n always agree with him cuz if u dont u will pay the price..Easy teacher got an A, but he is now on leave for a year....

I swear he is on here rating himself. his class is not that easy. he grades easy on the speeches but he gives three tests that each cover 6 chapters with absolutly no review. WELL I TOOK THIS GUY FOR THE FALL OF 2007 AND HE GAVE US THIS ONLINE ASSIGNMENT WHICH WAS ON THE TEST WORD FOR WORD. I GUESS WHEN THE WINTER TERM OF 2008 CAME AROUND HE CHANGED IT BECAUSE SOMEONE MUST HAVE TOLD HIM ABOUT THIS SITE. YEAH ITS HARD TO STUDY "6" CHAPTERS, CUZ I WOULDENT DO IT. HE DOES NOT TEACH THE STUDENTS TEACH. DONT TAKE HIM

he is a bad teacher. the class is easy but don't expect to learn anything. the tests are a nightmare but don't really count for a lot of the grade. THE ENTIRE CLASS IS GROUP WORK! You have to get a good group to get a grade because most of the grade is as a group.

He is a good teacher! He made the class interesting, the tests are okay, you have to study on your own because they are based on speech presentations from other students. There are like 5 or 6 speech presentations and overall is very easy. I recommend him.

Easy pass. You have a 5 minute speech about yourself, three group presentations(which teach the material from the book),three tests about the book material(YOU MUST READ YOUR BOOK AND VOCAB TO PASS THE TESTS WITH AN A)and informative speech. For a speech class, there's not a lot of presenting! Only problems were boredom:Self-study & he talks a lot.

cool prof. for tests U MUST READ THE BOOK! learned that the hard way. class presents chapters in grp presentation but no where near enough to pass tests. final speech is easy compared to group presentation. good dude though but stay focused

Professor Buford is a very sweet man. He is so knowledgeable. His southern accent is cute. He is extremely helpful. There are 3 tests, 3 groups speeches, and 2 speeches you have to do by yourself (an intro and ending). If you have any questions, he is so willing to help!

I would say the only potential con is that you might get stuck with a bad group (he puts you in them). I was stuck with a not so good group but I prepared myself and studied for the test (pay extra attention to the vocab and skim read the chapters that will be on the test) and passed with an A. I would definitely recommend him!

His stories are funny! He's very nice and laid back!!! He's a great speech teacher! Of course the class gives speeches on the chapters because its speech class!!! The best way to learn is to gove speeches on what we have to learn! I highly recommend this professor!!!

AWESOME TEACHER! Throughout the semester you only do 5 presentation. the first presentation is the introduction. three of the presentation is from the chapter. the last presentation is an informative speech. just do the requirement and you will pass. easy grader. I recommend this teacher for everyone!!
