Amazing professor if you do well in this class you will succeed in other english classes. Great person and is always there to help. Long papers but worth it if you're willing to put the work in.

Dr. Caples is awesome! He is such a cool guy, and he genuinely cares about his students. His work was very straight forward. The class had 6 Fridays where he let us stay home. The final may seem intimidating, but he helps you tremendously along the way.

Professor Caples is amazing. The class is fun and easy. All you have to do is show up and follow directions and you will get an A. The final is the only daunting thing about the course (8-10 Page Research Paper), but he lets you turn it in early for feedback that will guarantee you an A if you follow it. Put in the effort and he will give it back!

At first, I thought this class would be difficult because I am not a master of technology, but Dr. Caples created a wonderful class to meet everyone's needs. Dr. Caples was one of the best professors I had at Towson. I got a degree in history before joining the Masters in Teaching program. Even though the program was condensed into three weeks it never felt overwhelming and Dr. Caples was very helpful throughout the class.

Dr. Caples made me a better writer. His grading can be harsh, but he only gives such criticism to make students better. If you take any of his classes, I am sure you will not regret it. Dr. Caples is a good professor, but he doesn't focus much on really teaching the class how to write a proficient research paper. He has you submit an assignment every Friday at 6PM, and most of the assignments have nothing to do with our research paper. On the other hand, he is a very understanding and caring professor, and he's pretty cool.

Hes one of the most unique professors Ive had yet! He truly cares about his students and doesnt just throw long papers on you but rather assigns 2-page papers that gradually increase to the Final being a 10-page research paper. This is the easiest and most fun TSEM class you could take! He gives great feedback for your papers and allows you to work up to the final (its up to 10 pages btw) but he makes it easy on us and lets us go step by step. He makes class fun and is pretty funny as well lol. He grades pretty quickly and is easy to contact. This was my favorite class!!!

Dr. Caples really is the best professor. He always encourages his students to be the best version of themselves in and out of the classroom. Dr. Caples truly loves what he does, and it shows every single day through his passion, dedication, and the genuine care he brings to his work.

Best professer at Towson. He is amazing and really does appreciate each and every one of his students taking his class. He makes class fun and this is the only class I actually looked forward to going to.

Dr.Caples was my first professor where I felt good about college and helped me open up. Every class he always got some kind of interesting stories or "dad" talks. He is very understanding, and cares about his students. I would take his TSEM class again!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!! If you get the chance to take Dr.Caples's class please take it. He is not a harsh grader at all, lessons are fun and he keeps you very entertained with his jokes. The work is not difficult at all and he will always read through your papers before submitting.

I love Dr. Caples SO MUCH. Genuinely an amazing human being and strove to get to get to know me outside of class. I genuinely loved going to this class and it felt like a breath of fresh air. Best professor ever!

Really good professor he relates with every student on a personal level and shows he cares about them. He goes through all assignment in way to break them up so you can truly understand and do your best. The class was really engaging and even through it might seem like a a lot of work at first, he will truly work through each step with you.

Really wants you to succeed. He likes to talk a lot, but MOST of it is funny. There are a lot of writing assignments but he provides clear outlines and rubrics which makes it very easy. Would 100% refer my friends to take this class as their TSEM, he's great.
