He knows his materials by heart, gives engaging &useful lectures, and opens to questions. He is also very clear on expectations and learning objectives. He might come across as a firm grader; but, it is not difficult to get a satisfying grade if you know what he is looking for.

Overall, an incredible professor. I never dreaded going to class! Lectures were interesting and kept student's attention. Very, very hard marker, to the point where you feel like an A is impossible (or even what to do to get above an 80), but gives great feedback. Always responds to emails, and makes time for you if you ask for an appointment.

I felt as though the professor's high standards were intimidating and put my anxiety into overdrive every time I was required to complete an assignment; this is the only class that has made me feel that way. The professor is very engaging and inspiring. I felt as though his timelines were too tight for the overall workload for the program.

The classes are challenging, the lectures are helpful and the power points are simple to understand and goes directly to the point. The only thing I don't like is that his feedback from assignments are always negative, of course it is constructive criticism, but i think students also need to receive compliments about what they are doing right.

honestly if there was any other teacher for this class this early in the morning, there is no way id actually attend. His energy and charisma in the morning are infectious. his lectures are clear, and to the point. if the lecture ends before the allotted time , we are free to work on his course or any other course we have.

As a professor, he had a unique talent to keep a technician program awake for a 8am class period, the energy and passion that he has for the course material is a nice change of pace from the usual dry courses that we have to take.

Lots of out of class writing is assigned. If you have a hard program it is hard to keep up with the paragraphs assigned. Saying that Robort has a way of making grammar and English intresting. You will not be falling asleep in his lectures.

The material can be complicated, but Chabassol breaks it up into easy pieces. Very funny and lively even at 8am classes (a rare blessing). Makes tedious language concepts relatable and memorable. He does go on minor tangents about entertaining topics, but they tend to tie back into the class material or give room to digest the class content.

I was less than enthoused when I discovered an 8am communications class on my schedule, but Prof. Chabassol makes the early wake-ups and bland subject matter bearable (no offence - I'm a scientist at heart!) He leads interesting class discussions in his stories and tangents. His passion for teaching is refreshing - I very much enjoy his class!

He is a hard grader if you need help out of class he made it clear that he is available. There are many assignments in this class though and you should be aware that every week there is an assignment due,

needs to update syllabus! Should allow you to correct you notes he makes on assignments for extra marks, which would allow us to learn for our mistakes.

He is an excellent professor! I find that the course load is heavy. I find myself doing more English (Com 2) homework than anything else in the second semester of the DSW program. I feel that their is something fundamentally wrong when you are spending more time and energy on a communications class than on Pharmacology and Anatomy combined.

The workload was more for the last 6 weeks may be due to my work schedules and my late-night hours at the placement. I am trying my best to score well but due to carelessness and less available time, I am not able to double-check my work. If his speed was reduced it will be a little easier to follow smoothly

Professor Rob is by far the best professor I have ever had. He gives excellent lectures and assesses our assignments adequately. He delivers the content in a fun and successful way. I always go to his office to ask him questions and he has always been very welcoming. Also, my English skills improved thanks to him. Get you a professor like mine ;)

Most post-secondary institutions do not give you templates/rubrics or teach paper formatting- he does all this, it is up to you to look for it though. Tough marker but very reasonable- style, mechanics, and formatting are key. impactful and inspirational. you have to speak up.
