He gives no curve and his exams are pretty hard. You must work really hard to pass his class or otherwise drop it like most of the other students.
Overally good professor, gives CURVES contrary to what most people say he gives nice curves an 80 which is usually a B-/C+ is a B+ in his class. Material is a bit boring but overall no hw or projects for the class. 50% midterm and 50% final.
Do you want your GPA to drop? If you do, then take this class. BORING - Bring a pillow!! HARD - His tests are really hard but he does let you use one sheet of notes. Can't talk to him. He doesn't care about you or your grades. Many people drop.

He seems great to me. I have him now and I have about an A so far, the only thing left is the final. He allows you to make a sheet of notes to bring to the test with whatever info you want on it, equations, info, etc. Plus he gives a lil curve.
I actually find him to be kind of easy. His tests are very easy, unless you dont bother studying and rely on your cheat sheet. Only real downside is that he makes his material more complex than he has to. But I like the guy and recommend him.

u dont learn a thing in his class. the only reason 1 passes his exam r cause he allows the student to use a cheat sheet. he makes the class really boring. if u r gud at working on ur own, u should take him!!! lolz

Boring. He doesn't care about the students. I did horrible on the first test because I was sick and he didn't care. Yes, he lets you bring in a sheet of paper. It helps if you knwo the stuff. You can get away with more then one sheet of paper for the test

Took for experimental 1 credit class few years ago. The man has a horrible attitude and tries to make himself seem way more important than he really is. Horrible lecture too, very boring. Wouldn't rec.
He's a bit boring-that's economics. You get the test before the exam and can record the q's on a cheat sheet. What more do u need? I recommend him.
He is very borring, but he gives sample fo problems for a test, so you have an idea. If you follow everything you'll be ok, but the time is limited.

One of the greatest professors. He is a professor that knows his stuff and does not rely on notes or a text book. He is open to questions. If you work hard you will get a good grade. I totally recommend him.

It has never been easier to get an A than in his class. So very very easy. Awsome man too, really sweet and friendly. Talk to him if you dont understand something, he'll be happy to explain.

Avoid this prof. He rants for an hour about things that have nothing to do with the exams and his claims about races are baseless.
His lectures were somewhat boring but he definately knew his stuff. He definately doesnt want to fail anyone. He is a very nice guy and rather insightful. He gave quiz questions beforehand to ensure that everyone would pass--with a high grade.
class was very boring but he is a decent professor. he gave quiz questions in advance but here's the thing. he would give 20 possible questions and would only ask you to answer 6 out of the 20. This was my most work intensive class cuz there were about 6 papers/assignments plus 5 quizes/tests. Papers were not hard but extremely time consuming.
Very Good Professor. Tries to explain the subject in a interesting way and allows cheat sheet on the test. Take him.
Watch out. He knows his stuff very well, but unless you attend every class, read the book cover to cover, and pray hard, you may not get the high grade you strive for. He does curve but he can be VERY UNCLEAR, and can MAKE THE TESTS VERY HARD. Good luck!

LOVED HIM!!! he lets you have a cheat sheet for the test. if you know how to make a cheat sheet, you will breeze through it. he gives you all of the questions. you just need to memorize the answers. very boring topic...but easy. i recommend!
Macroeconomics is not an interesting class, so don't expect to have fun in the lecture. His tests are very easy because he tests on the "boxes" from the book and the "economic behavior to be explained" Explain steps in cheat sheet, so you know the examples. He is a bit boring. Make sure to read chapter before, because it will be more clear.

Yes, he doesn't take attendance. Yes, he lets you have a cheat sheet. however, the 2nd and 3rd exam he totally switches up the questions. also the essay questions you don't have enough time to complete them and you can put the answer for the essay question however he wants only "his" answer. only good thing the books is cheap $20. BORING. 3pt curve
best & most interesting Econ prof!! especially good if you are interested in gov policy. Just go to class and take notes. You will learn a lot and the class is enjoyable. Gives great prep and practice questions before the exam. Allows 1 sheet of notes, which is very helpful.

Rob cherry is really the f'n man. He explains the stuff on the board and makes the material interesting. His reviews and review sheets ARE EXTREMELY HELPFUL when preparing for the exam. He has a very relaxed and light hearted mood. Highly recommend for 20.1 micro
lets you use 1 sheet of notes for all 3 exams...gives review sheet before each exam which is helpful...has study review session before each exam which is helpful...pay attention and stay focused and you'll be fine...book is $20
Really nice guy (even bought us donuts near the end of the Fall semester!). If you need to take this course, take Prof Cherry! Allows A4 page of notes for both midterms and final, plus gives excellent review sheets and additional review sessions beforehand. Makes it easy to understand the course content. Excellent professor.
Cherry is great, Super Cherry!!! Clear helpful, etc etc If you want to learn econ, he is the man, everything he teaches is a must take for me!!!!
THIS PROF. SUCKS! Don't take him, I'm seriously.I mean he's explains alright but his tests are so difficult and not enough time to complete it because he gives 10 techinical problems and 15 essay questions! I had problem completing the exam in 1h and 30 mins. Always run out of time because math problems needs more time. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PROF.
Professor Cherry is great! He doesn't take attendance. During the semester there are three exams but you are allowed to bring in a sheet of notes to the test (a cheat sheet) which helps a lot. I definitely recommend him!
a pretty boring class but attendance isn't mandatory. He wrote his own textbook (more like a packet.. not a big book, he sells it for 20). He gives a study sheet for the technical section of the tests ahead of time and gives the answers. You can bring with you a double-sided cheat sheet to every exam. Study before the tests and you'll be fine.
Awesome teacher. Subject is a little dry but its doable. He gives the easiest tests and bends over backwards to raise your score. Each test has a huge curve and each grade translates into a letter grade favorably. For Cherry an A is like 85 and above! Awesome!
I took Cherry for Micro. He is very nice personally but extremely difficult to understand in class. Too many charts & graphs left the majority of the class scratching their heads. The exams are too difficult & there is not enough time for most students to finish. If not for the review & answer sheets nobody would be able to pass his tests.
he is a nice man, but as far as teaching itself is concerned i do not recomend him. at times he is very unclear in class and his exams are very difficult. too philisophical doesnt get to the point.
Hes not a good teacher. No attendance and theres no point in coming.Just show up for the reviews,learn how to do the math and write the chapter summaries on your cheat sheet.That should get you above a B.Oh and bring more than one sheet (he doesnt check)!His tests are hard, no way around it. OMG hes so dam confusing! Everything is a graph or a chart and he lectures as if were all economists already. His tests are brutal. No attendance. Show up for reviews and pay attention there.Lets you bring a cheat sheet, but doesnt check if you bring more so do that cuz thats the only way youll have all the info you need. this course is very boring, be prepared to stay awake, and it is very difficult to understand the concepts that will be discussed in class if you do not read the chapters before class. managed to get a B+ despite bombing on the 2nd test. there will be 3 test in all and there is now random attendance taking. all tests have a math and an essay part.
Lectures are insightful but have NOTHING to do with the exams. The textbook is not easy to understand either. I would highly suggest you take someone else.
Nice man but does not teach anything. He talks in class but he is not clear. very very unclear. gives 3 exams total. 2 midterms, 1 final exam. thats it. if your pass that, your good. but his exams are scary! i studied for his exams and still didnt get the desired grade i wanted. you have to study on ur own, go to tutoring to pass. he is no help :(
He does not care if people attend his class. He makes the class seem to be very easy to pass. As a matter fact, it is. But it will be a difficult A because the grading is harsh.
Cherry is a horrible Professor. Does not teach anything in class, all you learn is graphs. Students only like the fact they can cheat on his exams. Attendane is not mandatory, which shows he does not teach a darn thing. If you are a student and would like to learn and not take the wasy way out TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR. HE IS USELESS.
Exams are all memorization...no real learning. Students have to remember bunch of numbers from specific articles and forget everything right after.
Does not go through fundamentals of microeconomics. He goes through his own method which is not clear. He gives you review test which do not help you on exam. All he cares about is taxes and not about microeconomics. He does everything in his head and expect you to understand. If you do take his class, supplement with other textbook. NOT HIS.

Honestly, he's not that bad. Yes he might get confusing but he tells you EXACTLY how the test will be. His grading system has a built in curve. You have to be consistent with time on his test bc they are extremly long but He lets you bring one sheet of notes. Just make sure you KNOW how to do the problems from his review sheet and you're good.
His class is super hard! But as long as you read his book and make an awesome cheat sheet, you won't fail. Definitely go to the Micro tutor before his exams so that you can understand the math questions better. I did pretty well in the class (A-) by doing all that but the majority of people did not. One person literally got a zero on one midterm!

His class is hard, students never have enough time to finish the exam, even though he gives u chance to do good on it, he still takes many points off on each exam. He will low ur gpa although he curves ur final grade.
Allows you to bring a cheat sheet to the tests. Make sure you know how to do the math questions on the review sheet he goes over before the test. Also, make sure you read the textbook before taking the tests. Not an easy class but not hard either. He curves the tests so it's not that bad.

Cherry is nice professor, but not a very good one. His ability to teach students who are new to micro is extremely poor. It doesn't help either that the text required for the class is written by him. I did not learn anything, only how to regurgitate information from the text to pass his exams. Learn micro properly, take a different professor.
His test are very hard that's why he allows a cheat sheet. he's pretty rude sometimes too. he makes the test so long, you don't even have enough time to finish it.
He is a fair professor. On every test we are allowed to use a cheat sheet. So basically no possible way to fail as long as you make a good cheat sheet by reading the textbook and writing the important stuff. However, if you are expected to gain knowledge about Mircoeconomics I don't recommend him. Lecture can be difficult to follow at times.

Gives review sessions before each exam and is willing to answer any questions you have about the material. His lectures are really boring. You can learn a few things, like about child tax credit and monopolies, but not much.

This class is terrible ! I never had a more rude professor. he's doesn't explain anything he does on the board and when asked he just repeats himself. He gives 2 midterms can use cheat sheets for both and the final. I failed one of the midterms and he told me to not waste his time and drop the course. Do not understand anything he talks about.
Cherry is honestly a terrible lecturer. I didn't understand him half the time. If you want to pass make sure you go to the review session and ask questions, and make a good cheat sheet (he allows 1 page). He gives a review sheet and changes up the numbers but its still pretty hard and there is also 6 essays per test. He grades on a curve.
The worst professor ever. The most difficult tests I've ever seen in my life. The math part is crazy hard and the short answer essay questions arent any better, they are difficult as well. His class is horrible and I wouldnt recommend him to anyone.

Prof Cherry is not a good teacher. He knows his work but cannot teach it to students. Its a hard class, only his book is used. you are graded on three exams so try not to fail them. I would not recommend taking his class. He told me to not take the last exam, but i did took it anyways. teaches once a year so watch out in FALL 2017.
I made a worst mistake taking this professor. I wonder how come he became professor. He probably knows his topic but doesn't know how to teach student at all. Brooklyn College should get rid off him no matter how long he is in school. I messed my 4:00 GPA because of him. Be Careful guys who wants to maintain perfect GPA.

Gives a review sheet and allows a cheat sheet, but if you don't read his self-written textbook and don't study then you will fail. gives a 3 pt curve and your entire grade depends on 3 exams. no homework, no extra credit, nothing... just the exams. AVOID IF YOU CAN!
Robert Cherry is a HORRIBLE professor!! He doesn't explain anything clear, he gets mad when you ask him questions, He doesn't take time to help students period. He gives 3 exam and will drop the lowest grade, attendance is not mandatory. He only teaches for FALL semester, if you have to take Microeconomics DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. WORST PROF.
If you are a bad testtaker DO NOT take his course. Pick someone else. Seriously. Professor Cherry gives 3 exams, no homework, no participation grade. He drops the lowest test grade and allows you to bring some notes for the exam. His essay grading is not straightforward though. His lectures are boring and he goes on tangents all of the time.
Professor Robert Cherry definitely knows his material, however, his way of projecting it back to the class is what he doesn't know. Attendance doesn't matter as he does not check, or really cares. He gives 3 tests- 30% 30% and 35% (Final) He drops the lowest test grade if that'll help you get a C. He also lets you bring in a cheat sheet.
