He is the best prof on the EMU campus, he taught me a lot. I also helped him with the overhead last year. Hopefully he will continue to teach at EMU.

He is so funny! I love the jokes he tells and how sarcastic he is sometimes! His exams are fair and nothing unexpected. Lectures are very clear and easy to follow. I really enjoy his class.

One professor told me he's as good as anything you'll find in an ivy league school...I don't doubt that one bit. A great teacher.

He is the best teacher EVER!! I am a History Minor and I have never been so interested in learning so much. I would take him again for another class, he really relates the material to the students' lives. PLUS he takes his daughter to concerts and MOSHES!

if you do not like history this is the professor to take to help you understand and like history better. make sure you do not get a boring teacher. citino is a great teacher, always on time, funny, never thought id say it but i loved this history class!

Makes you excited about coming to class, he's so fun to listen to, I'm going to go back just to sit in sometime with others...he usually has a lot of people wanting to talk to him after class and be social because he is so awsomely funny.

By far the best teacher that i have ever had at EMU. I actually looked fwd to his class. He made that class fun and interesting; time flew by. Everyone needs to take at least one class by hime before you graduate.

What an amazing class and professor! I could not have asked for a better pair. Him and Dr.Shictman were the best ever. They made the class so it wasn't as depressing ascould be which made it a lot easier. Make sure and go to all the lectures though. Though it isn't hard to not want to miss

If military history is your thing than this is your professor. If military history is not your thing it will be after taking his course. While his courses are not easy, they are not overly hard, but you will, having attended his lectures, walk away with a wealth of knowledge. Enjoyable instructer for all students regardless of major.

Wow. Easily the best prof on campus. One of the few prof's at EMU that captured my imagination and made me want to do the work to get a good grade. Simply the best.

Citino is incredible. He is one of the best profs at EMU. He's entertaining, hilarious and knowledgeable. His random anecdotes made history the best class ever.

Amazing amazing amazing. An awesome teacher who is dedicated to teaching and the students interest. After class I talked with him once about a similar topic that we had discussed in class and where I could find more information. A few classes later he came with a an awesome book on the topic and gave it to me. Very great teacher.

Unfortunatly, I only got to take Citino once, but he was simply amazing... If you have any questions on warfare, he is your man... Not taking him for a class is doing a dis-service to yourself and your educational opportunity presented at EMU....

robert citino defines what a college prof should strive to be. his text book is a actual book written by him, it was good reading. they even have his books at the borders by my house. hes very helpful, he overhead me saying how i had 2 exams and 2 big projects due in a 2 day period and he let me take his exam 2 days late to lighten up my workload.

Citino is an excellent professor, extremely knowledgeable and a riveting lecturer, funny, easy to deal with, and not a hard grader.

Dr. Citino is probably the best prof. I've had. He is a bit full of himself at times but he has every reason to be. He writes his own books, makes his own maps and knows history better than he does current events. Don't expect to sluff off in his class he'll make you pay.

WOW, what do you say about this professor. He is great, funny and very helpful. Take him you will enjoy him, unfortunatly he will not be teaching until the winter semster. This was the one class I look forward to every day.

The guy was funny, knew what he was talking about, and didn't treat the one hundred level class like he was teaching grad students. He presents the neccesary amount of information, but doesn't try and screw you on tests

Amazing Professor!! Engaging and incredibly witty. He has the ability to make military mayhem fun!

Whatever qualities make a perfect lecture class, he's nailed it. His pacing is leisurely but not slow, and you'll end up with about a page of high-quality notes a day. His tests won't insult your intelligence or make your brain explode in frustration, but again strike the perfect middle ground. The "realest" prof I've had. He defines excellence.

Rob Citino lives and breathes Germany war history. Yes it helps that he wrote the textbook, but that just further proves his mastery of the subject. But all in all, his lectures are the most fun: completely engaging, easy to follow, and extremely entertaining. Best class I've ever taken. Because of him I like to study.

Great professor. Knows his audience and how to keep them interested. I am only a freshman, but if I have the chance, I will schedule more and more with Citino. Not really sure about the other 2 professors that taught the class.

Good guy, takes a subject that should be rather dry, like German history, and has you laughing most of the class, but at the end of the day you know your stuff.

I had Rob back in the 80s when he taught at Lake Erie College. He totally rocked back the too. Glad to see he is still rocking as a prof.

I had Citino 2x. Both classes ("Quest for Power" and "Culture in the Holocaust") were so interesting. You can really tell that Citino loves what he does!! He is definitely willing to help you if you just go and talk to him.

Awesome Professor. He is skilled at discussing the material at varying levels, which enables him to engage students at levels. Plus he makes the material fun, you never get bored or clock watch in his courses. And he give much thought to the books he assigns, they are never boring or outdated. If you get the chance--take him.

He teaches graduate students how to produce great work. He emphasizes cultural and conceptual aspects of education. He assists students in comprehending most assigned reading. He doesn't emphasize military history.

Quest for Power is without a doubt, the best class offered at Eastern-even if you don't like history. Dr. Citino is funny and very knowledgable. This class presents material in many different ways and he definately trys to make learning fun and entertaining. Fairly easy honors class and the best available-Take this class or any class with Citino!

Professor Citino is a masterpiece of a professor. The man is an absolute genius regarding all military-based studies. He is the professor I've always prayed for since playing GI Joe as a kid! (and now, a much larger, more educated kid!) If more "Powerpoint Profs" would take his lead, I wouldn't have to pay for so many useless, boring credit hours.

Citino is an amazing teacher that knows how to relate to his students. He is demanding and his classes (I have only had upper level classes) should be taken by those who are serious about history. He is helpful when a student needs help and make class interesting.

He really is a great professor and he makes warfare accessible AND fun! Ya gotta give the guy props for that! He gives the proverbially 110% to every class. Uses interesting texts, provides instructive feedback and loves his field. If a student has a question Dr. C is always ready to help. And the guy can throw down on pop culture questions!!

You haven't taken a college class until you have had one with Citino. This guy can talk about marching and make it interesting. He is the most passionate teacher I have ever had in my life. He flies around the room and makes every lecture enjoyable to attend. I wish he wasn't going to West Point. If EMU had any sense, they should keep him around.

Dr. Citino teaches with such a passion, and deep understanding of the materials, that you can not help but become engaged in the discussion. His innate ability to reach out to students and draw them in is something that can not be taught. He is intellegent, well informed, quite humorous and just a really nice professor and guy.

Citino is everything a student could want in a professor. He is accessible, and so is his course material. His upper-level classes are definitely for people with a prior interest in history, but I would recommend EVERYONE take some kind of class with him. He's a great guy.

Brilliant, hilarious, and just plain cool. He is so enthusiastic about the subject that you can't help but to get caught up in it with him. Most importantly, he is the most accessible professor I've had. He always takes time for questions or comments and he made me feel respected and valuable as a student.

Is there anything this man doesn't know? History, pop culture, languages, etc., he is knowledgeable about it all. He made a basic history class interesting. He is also very willing to help students out. His tests are neither too easy nor too hard, and you can tell he wants students to succeed.

His style of teaching is wonderful. It's hard to take notes when then information that he is presenting is so interesting and entertaining. He also takes the time to meet all of his students which is very nice.

An excellent professor and an excellent writer. Check out some of his books. How he can teach full time and write this good is incredible. Taking his class is an Excellent Adventure. Party on dude!

I actually looked forward to going to every single class. I feel like I got my money's worth. Professor Citino is not an easy grader just for the record. We like him because he is like an actor on stage. He could be lecturing on acorns and I would find it interesting. It is sad that he is leaving EMU.

THE COOLEST TEACHER! His lecture is mostly speaking and you will need a recorder or something to know what he is talking about. Make sure you get everything he say and you will do good! He's great!

Dr. Citino had a great reputation before I took his class. Let's just say he didn't let me down. He is enthusiastic, fun, and passionate about his teaching. I wish I wasn't graduating so that I could take more classes with him. I adjusted my work schedule for the first time in 3 years just so I could take his class. I am so glad that I did!
