Very Boring

The material is going to require effort and studying. He is not the most exciting person in the world. In fact I catch myself dozing off cause it isn't the most interesting class.

Helpful guy he wants you to do well. Tests are a little tricky but you should do fine. I would take him again.

Fairly easy. Really nice guy. Very willing to help. He's a lawyer in town though, so you may have to e-mail him at work to get a response. He only gives two tests and a final, so if you mess up, it's not easy to catch up. Gives opportunities for extra credit. Should be an easy A. I would take him again.

Pretty boring class. Attend the review sessions for the test because he tells you the page and paragraphs to know for the test. Pretty easy class if you put a little effort to it. I basically went to the reviews and a few other classes and came out very good in the class.

Class is fine. Get the University notes for the tests and you'll be fine. They are extremely helpful. You can not go to class, get the notes, and be fine!

i loved his business law class. sit in the front of the class and listen up, he can tell some pretty good stories. he knows his stuff very well. i would definately recommend him to anyone! it is one of my favorite classes!

A great teacher! Very nice and understanding. More than willing to help with questions. He gives opportunity for extra credit. I was not a business major and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Highly recommended!

He's so cute and his stories are funny! I think he would be a great guy to get to know...and, I'm pretty sure he represents students every now and then for their run-ins with the law. He gave us a list for the final of exactly what to study. I fell asleep every day bc it was my 4th class of the day, but when i did stay awake it was interesting!

Told us exactly what would be on the final. TF and MP test questions. His TF are worded kinda weird. Its mostly common sense but you will learn some interesting things and wanna sue somene after the class thats for sure.

Good teacher. He definitely knows what he's talking about because he used to be a lawyer. Class can get somewhat boring and he posts his slides online, which gives little incentive to go to class. But, he does give hints and specifics on what will be on the test if you go to class. Nice guy, not too hard, would recommend taking him.

Mr. Cochran is a really good speaker/teacher and he knows his stuff. If you go to class he gives a lot of hints on what we'll be on the test, and the tricky way in which the question might be worded. Memorize his slides and by reading the book it helps clear up everything. He'll even give you legal advice if you ask...for free! Take him.

Definitely take Mr. Cochran!! He gives you the lecture slides, so there's not much motivation to go to class, but he gives hints on some of the tests questions! Easy A or B if you read the book and study the night before

Awesome teacher. I took him for busi law as well. Aviation law is an incredibly easy class, especially for being a 5000 level, if you actually go. It was at 8 am, but he gave a lot of the answers away for those who went. He had some really cool stories and let us talk about whatever we wanted to in the beg. of class-I would take it again if I could

Very awesome professor. Class was easy and fun to attend because of the stories and witty humor. If you're from California you better be able to hear your state get bashed.

If you want an introduction to law course, this is the guy to take! He is very proficient in explaining why we have law and all of its functions. His stories keep your attention and help you remember the material! TAKE HIM!!!

Easy class. Powerpoints are on Blackboard. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Cochran is extremely helpful! If you have a question go to his office hours. He provides funny stories to help remember the concepts he teaches in class. GO TO CLASS because these stories are on his exams and are not in the notes. If you attend class and do the extra credit assignments you can easily make an A. He cares about his students!

This class was awesome! The teacher was great and made the class fun. He has great first hand experience that makes the course really fun to attend. You need to go to class everyday because he randomly gives answers to test questions. It was a really interesting class and if you go to class and review your notes its an easy B at least.

Not a fun class, but he makes it interesting. You only have tests, and as long as you study the powerpoint notes you're fine. He literally tells you while he's teaching what you need to know for the test. Explains everything very well, and cracks (good) jokes to keep you interested. Just go and listen with the powerpoint notes and you're good.

LOVED this class! If you come to class, he tells you several of the questions that will be on the test. Also, the class is very interesting and fun. He tells great and funny stories. I will definitely be taking advanced business law with him!

GO TO CLASS. He tells you what is going to be on the test. Be sure to high light those. Know everything backwards and forwards because he will try to trick you.

Great guy. If you go to class you don't even have to read the book because he pretty much tells you what will be on the test. If you don't go to class read the book and look at his slides online and you'll be fine. He's actually a funny guy so class isn't that bad and he uses good examples from his time as a lawyer to explain things.

Interesting subject and professor! Tells good stories. You don't always have to come to class, but it's helpful if you do. He tells you what's on the test. Some of the test questions are tricky, but they are very doable. Just a little studying can get you a good grade. Our final was partially open book too. Definitely take this class with him!

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He is such a good teacher and makes class so interesting! Definitely an easy A! Go to class for his in class examples and just study the slides and look over the book for the tests! Final is open book!!

Mr. Cochran was a very interesting professor who made Business Law a very course. I would love to take moe classes with him. Having practiced law himself, he has an interesting example for nearly topic.

The teacher looks just like John Cullum who plays Judge Barry Moredock on Law & Order: SVU. Study the slides and you will be fine. Easy B and study for and A.

Mr. Cochran was a great teacher. He made class interesting and it was the fastest 50 minutes ever. I didn't read the book and pulled a B. If I would have actually worked I probably could have managed an A. I'm taking him next semester again and can't wait.

Barely went to class and never opened the book and ended up with a B. Know the slides very well. The final is NOT open book.

Attendance is not mandatory, but I highly recommend that you go. I went to every class and he rounded me up from an 87. He is super helpful and really wants you to enjoy the class and learn!

He's very passionate about business law and knows his stuff. Class is pretty boring, but if you go he will give you question that are on the exams periodically. Pay attention to his stories/examples, they show up on the tests. Test questions are often pretty tricky, but it's nothing that's too hard to handle.

Excellent Intro to Aviation class. He makes the subject interesting with cool stories. I'll be taking him again.

Pretty much tells you everything that's on the test if you go to class, however, attendance is NOT mandatory. Nice guy, interesting stories. Only 3 tests though. Do the extra credit.

Good teacher. Obviously knows his material. The best advi e for this course is to GO TO CLASS. Although attendance is not mandatory, he gives you test questions in class and tells you information that is not on the notes posted online. Do the extra credit, it will save you. Study hard.

I've taken all the classes he's offered and I'd take them again if I could. Very reasonable. All classes are easy if you give it the 'good ol college try' and all his AVMG classes are great and easier than Business Law. You will actually learn from what he teaches!

He is such a great teacher I am taking another one of his classes just because he is teaching it. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should go because what he says in class will be on tests. I highly recommend him. There are 3 exams, 1 short ethics exam, 1 comprehensive final exam, & 2 extra credit opportunities.

Definitely take Mr. Cochran, he is a very nice and interesting teacher. The stories he tells in class will keep you interested in the lecture and tests are not difficult. He gives you all of the notes you need in his power points!

Great professor! Attend as many of his lectures as you can. He gives out freebies & really helps to understand the material. He isn't one to just read off the slides and he will answer questions in class. Do the extra credit it pushed me to an A. Also the homework online helps(you have 2 chances and you can look at the answers after the 1st try)

Cochran is a pretty cool professor for being an old guy. He has a sense of humor and rewards the people who attend class with valuable tips and answers that will be on the tests. The class isn't incredibly easy but if you do the extra credits and attend class every day, an A is possible. Its one of those classes where an A is tough, but a B is not

Great guy and tells some great stories! Business Law could be an absolutely miserable class, but he makes it worth going. The tests are based on what he says so make sure you know the book terms, but know how it applies to real life and his stories. Not a hard B, but you have to really work for an A. He's your only option for B-Law so have fun!

He's a great teacher. Really funny and his examples really help you understand the subject. Don't really need to read the book. You have two quizzes a week online but you can take them twice and it tells you the answers. Loved the class.

Dr. Cochran has been my favorite since attending Auburn University. He makes the class very entertaining. The information I've learned has been useful even outside the classroom.

Easy B. I rarely went to class and studied for tests the day of. It would be a good idea to attend lecture and write down everything he says is important (it's usually on the test)

Mr. Cochran is great! He loves what he teaches, but understands that we are only taking the class because we have to. But he does a very good job of making his class entertaining. TAKE NOTES IN EVERY CLASS. HE WILL TELL YOU WHAT WILL BE ON THE TEST. Find a friend with a copy of the final. It's always the same. Super easy, enjoyable class!!

Pretty good class overall. Cochran is an awesome guy. Had some good laughs during office hours. A lot of people said the book isn't necessary, but unless you have old tests you probably should read it. Lectures make up probably 90% of exams though. Great story teller.

Dr. Cochran is a great professor. He's a little long winded but his stories are really helpful for the tests to understand the material. Yes, you have to read the book. No, it's not an easy A. But he could be pretty hardcore considering he's the only Busi Law professor, and honestly he's pretty cool about everything.

Cochran has been my favorite teacher at AU so far! The class is easy and very well taught. He tells great stories and makes the material relatable and memorable! He's sweet and truly loves Auburn and the students in it. Take whatever class you can with him!

Awesome guy! He tries to teach you about life in general and he is so interesting and funny. Be sure and know about all the stories he tells because it helps to understand the material and definitely on your tests. If you don't go to class, you will not get as good of grades on your tests. Its not hard if you go and pay attention.

Do The Extra Credit! I made the mistake of not doing it and ended up getting a B instead of an A. His lectures are decent. Some are very entertaining and some you can't wait to get out of their. His tests come straight from his lectures, never touched the book once but you need the online code for homework.

Had Cochran for Bus Law. Didn't think I would like this class, but Cochran proved me wrong. He is a great professor, very clear with his lectures and also has some very functional real world advice on legal matters. The exams are tough, but pay attention and you can manage a B. Take him

Cochran is the best! I thoroughly enjoyed going to class to hear his hilarious stories. He cares for his students and wants to have everyone understand the material. His tests were kinda tough but not terrible. His hw is very easy and the extra credit is interesting and worth it!

The Material covered is not difficult an in lecture he makes it very easy to understand. Beware of Tests, there will be questions where the wording is very tricky. Just because you know the material does not mean you will get an A. Ask a friend who has already taken the class for info on a tutor who is very helpful on preparing for exams.

There is hw, 3 tests, and 2 chances for extra credit. He is a really good teacher with tons of interesting law stories that he likes to tell. A lot of class is taken up by stories that won't be on the test which is annoying but they're still interesting to listen to. His son tutors and is great also. Definitely go to the son for help before tests.

Only two tests with one final so you really really need to do extra credit work. His lectures are boring but interesting when he tells you lawsuit story. He really loves his wife. He takes attendance but no points matters to your grade.

Mr. Cochran is the coolest and funniest professor I have had so far at Auburn. He actually cares about his students and is so helpful. His class makes me want to change my major to political science. LOVE IT! Do the extra credit and go for help in office hours

Business Law with Professor Cochran was by far and away my favorite class I've taken since I've been enrolled at Auburn. He is hilarious and makes the lectures very interesting, despite having very bland material. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT it was the difference between me getting an A and a B. Very helpful and always willing to meet for Office Hours.

Mr. Cochran is a nice man. He genuinely cares about students and their well being. He knows his material and laws well and I am thankful for a professor who is so educated. Lectures can be dull at times but very interesting as well. Overall, I was very glad I took this class and learned a lot.

Super good class, tests can be difficult but his power points have all the information. He tells a lot of stories in class that will show up on the test so make sure to note them.

Great teacher, one of the most universally loved at Auburn. Offers two extra credit assignments, do both and you get 4 points on your final grade. Loves answering legal questions. Lectures in class but tells stories and keeps it interesting. Very understanding but strict on late work policy. Be ready to work but you'll love him and the class.

Make sure you do the homework (it will help your final grade a ton) and attend class. Most of the time he'll let you know exactly what you do and don't need to know for the exam and that helps a ton when studying because there's a lot of material. It also doesn't help to skim the book in addition to attending lectures because some terms are unclear

Show up to this class and pay at least a little attention and you will do well in his class. He gives very obvious hints as to the kind of stuff he is going to put on the exam in class.

Mr. Cochran really knows the material and wants all his students to succeed. He talks a lot but he has really good life examples that help you learn things better. HW is 10% of your grade which boosts your grade a lot because it's super easy. The material is interesting too. He hints at what will be on the exams. He's pretty funny too. 1 of my favs

Really cares about his students and wants you to succeed. He's the only Business Law professor so you don't really have a choice. He definitely makes it worth coming to.

One of my favorite professors this semester. Do the Extra credit and don't forget about the online homework because it can make or break your grade. Print the Powerpoints that are on canvas and take them to class. Tests can have difficult wording, but if you attend class he'll often give hints about what will be on them.

Cares about his students and his material. Loved his stories from his career as an attorney. Make sure to do the extra credit, it can make or break your grade. And make sure to stay on top of the online homework-forgot to submit mine one week and instead of needing an 80 on the final to keep my A, I needed a 90 (which I got). Great man and prof!

Go to class and pay attention! Gives a lot of potential test questions in the lecture, will help a lot come exam time. Make sure you do the extra credit at the beginning of the semester, it will help your grade a lot. Study for the exams but take your time reading them because he does include trick questions.

Its all about lectures. Online homework is a joke. His lectures are so fun to listen to. Perfect 8 am class. Test wording is very very straightforward, just listen closely to lectures.

Dr. Cochran could not be a more cut-from-the-wool, genuine man. He loves his class and enjoys lecturing. All of his lectures usually include a funny story and he clearly integrates his personality into the class, which makes the course very enjoyable. He is the only option at Auburn for Business Law and probably is the best there could be possible.

Great class! I actually enjoyed listening to him lecture. All of his tests are straight forward & during lecture he will tell you things to mark that will show up on your exam. He gives two opportunities for extra credit and then an ethics exam worth 100 points which is super easy and helps your grade tremendously. Wished he taught more classes.

Took him for summer semester wish it was longer, this class is AMAZING! He offers extra credit at the beginning of the semester. Is hilarious, makes lecture SO FUN! He knows so much about law & teaches it in a easy learn-able way. Test are SUPER easy, don't even need to really study. He is the BEST, if you need to take business law he is your guy.

Tests were very tricky. You need to figure out how he asks questions and read each question 3 times. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT at the beginning. If you don't he won't round you at the end. I had him for ACCT 2700 and he was great. If you show up for class and pay attention you won't have to do much studying. He has super easy multiple choice tests. Remember to do the 2 weekly quizzes online!

Loved listening to his lectures; they were often very funny and entertaining. However do not let that distract you from understanding the material, his exams are more difficult that you think. Outside of class he's very approachable and easy to talk to.

He will round your final grade if you do all the EC. Good teacher overall but he tends to get off topic. I enjoyed the extra information though!

One of the best profs at Auburn. He tells some really interesting stories from his time as a lawyer to help explain some concepts. Homework is due every Friday on Cengage and there are four tests total including the final. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!

I absolutely LOVED this class! I know hes the only prof for BLaw but seriously take this class. His lectures were so interesting and full of his real world experience. Go to class to get the notes but he does not take attendance. If you do the two extra credits you can make a for sure B and probably A. Possibly funniest professor at Auburn. STAND UP BOBBY COCHRAN. Goat.

Bobby Cochran is one of my favorite professors at Auburn. He basically tells stories all class, so go to class because that will help you on tests greatly. His class is actually really cool too. He gives you a chance to do two case studies at the beginning of the semester, MAKE SURE YOU DO THOSE.

THE BEST PROFESSOR AT AUBURN. By far my favorite class I have ever taken. Go to class because he gives huge hints about what will be on the test. His stories are also SO interesting. Easy advice for his class 1. DO NOT FORGET THE WEEKLY QUIZZES! Even missing one!! quiz can affect your final grade. 2. Go to class! He often gives his own opinions which he usually includes as test questions. Yeah, it's annoying but you'll know the answer if you go to class. 3. Do the extra credit at the beginning. Most helpful thing ever.

Dr. Cochran is an amazing teacher. Business law has been one of my favorite classes at Auburn. Class isn't mandatory, but he is so good that he makes you want to come to class. I recommend taking this class! He does the best he can to make each topic interesting, and does not require any busy work. Easy online quizzes weekly that are very short and boost your grade if you do them. I went to class everyday and never read the textbook and got an A. Requires some studying before each test, but nothing too intense.

I really enjoyed this class. The material to me was interesting and I found it pretty easy to keep up with. The tests are pretty tricky with the wording so beware of that. I would say study like usual and you should be fine as long as you can keep the material from becoming too confusing. Also, his stories are super amazing. He is super funny.

Mr. Cochran is the only teacher for ACCT 2700 at Auburn but that is more than fine. His lectures are some of the most interesting at Auburn and anyone who can't make a B in the class probably didn't ever show up or just didn't do the homeworks which are easy 100's. Would've gotten an A had I not forgot to do 3 of the homework assignments.

Cochran knows the information very well, and he tells stories from his time in law about whatever the topic of the day is. Tests are easy if you spend a couple hours reviewing the info beforehand, and he gives two extra credit case studies that you should definitely do because they really give you good cushion in your grade

Amazing lectures, he gives real life examples for the material that he covers. He is a really cool professor that practiced law for 40 years before teaching. There are three tests including the final, 10 online quizzes, and an ethics test. The only extra credit is at the beginning of the year, but it's not hard and adds 2 points to final grade.

It was because of this class that I knew something was wrong with the story they were telling me and I got legal help. Take the class with him! he is great!

He is the best teacher I have had at Auburn, and I absolutely loved his class. You need to go to class because his tests are based off of the wild case stories that he tells you in class to provide examples for the new terms and material, but it's so interesting that you want to go.

We had 2 weekly quizzes, and 4 exams. One of them was an open note ethics exam that wasn't as important as the other ones. Absolutely pay attention to the lectures and read the chapter. I just study quizlets and have made high C's/low B's on the exams. Do better than me.

His lectures are longer than the class but they're interesting. He knows that we aren't lawyers so he avoids any unnecessary information and focuses on what's going to be on the test. We have 3 exams plus a final but the 2nd exam is open notes and helps your grade if you just so happen to fail the first test. Watch the lectures and do the quizzes!

Professor Cochran really does make a Business Law class interesting as much as he can. 8 am lecture was a drag. Despite what others say about him, I found him to be very rambling and his tests to be unnecessarily convoluted.

Offers extra credit by doing two source reviews the first 2 weeks of class and if you do them its 2% points (you have to do these if you want your grade bumped at end of semester). Great man and really cares about his students. His tests arent hard but read carefully on them.

The key to passing this class is coming to class because he gives you answers during the lectures, taking notes from his slides, and then using your notes to follow along in the textbook which he gives you access to online. The textbook is not bad to read at all (actually pretty interesting) and takes no time at all to read.

His lectures are so interesting. The class itself is hard but not impossible by any means. I definitely should've applied myself more, but nonetheless I loved his class. He tells stories to explain most things, some are boring but the others are great you'll tell everyone. Do what he says, read the textbook and study in advance, you'll be thankful.

His class was lecture-heavy but he will tell you if there are any sections of the powerpoint that you do not need to know, and the same rule applies to anything that is important/will be a test question. To get the most out of your grade, I recommend creating Quizlets for each powerpoint and reviewing material after each class.

I cannot say a single negative thing. I was initially nervous, but he welcomed me personally and made me feel comfortable. His teaching style is simple but effective, he connects with students without being a doormat like some teachers, and he was a lawyer, so he can answer questions and let us know what will actually be relevant for us. 11/10.

Cochran is the man. Showing up to lectures matter as many of the test questions came straight from examples you can only get by going to class. His examples are very clear and easy to understand. There is weekly "Quizzes" due every Friday but they are nearly impossible to get anything below a 100% on it.

cochran was a great professor and his lectures were so amazing it felt like you were listening to a criminal justice podcast since he used to be lawyer. do not skip class, so much of the test material is verbal and impossible to remember by studying other people's notes. tests can be very very specific so don't skip and expect anything above an 80

I do not think there is enough I can say about Mr. Coachran! I had a fantastic time in his class and learned much about law. It is not an easy subject, so make sure you study and learn the material. Because of health problems, we only had class for the first half of the semester which has made me struggle more towards the end of the semester. I think he is a great person and really cares about what he teaches, so when we actually had class I really enjoyed going. Hopefully he feels better so you can actually expereince his teaching.
