Mr. Collins is a great teacher. He is very helpful, funny and makes the class fun with his humor. Tests are pretty easy. Doesn't give a lot of homework.

Very good teacher. Amusing a lot of times, however most don't know about him since he teaches few classes. Tests are moderate, but he delivers the material very well, you will definitely remember key aspects for the tests. Take him, he's great.

Outstanding prof. Funny, extra credit, tells stories relating to the material so you remember easily. Goes over the material and gives out study guides. Tells you what will be on the test. Take home quizzes! Only three homework assignments all semester! Wonderful guy, highly recomended!

he was a great teacher. i had him during the election and he made a lot more issues clear and understanding. he was a good teacher who made it fun to be in his class. told a lot of good jokes and stories to help the topics.

easy grade, tests are straight from the notes. dont bother reading the book, its a waste of time. all u need to know from it are the definitions. otherwise just pay attention to what he says in class, he gives a lot of information and he is a great teacher.

Hilarious and really nice

Mr. Collins is a good teacher. He explains everything that will be on the test in his notes. Lots of extra credit opportunities. He is pretty funny but kind of wierd. He loves what he does and i t shows. Maybe a Pothead (Always talks about medical marijuana).

Great teacher ! makes what I thought would be a boring class quite interesting. Tells a bunch of funny stories. This is the professor to take for this class.

GREAT TEACHER! Took him last year but never got around to rating him then. He's funny, interesting, and extremely willing to do what he can to help his students succeed. Was great taking him during election time, made the final reports something the students actually had an interest in. I just wish he taught more classes.

Very funny but a little unorganized. Anybody who thinks his tests are hard should seriously consider special ed. An easy A, eventhough he sand-bagged me on the final paper. Maybe I corrected him one too many times in class.

An awesome teacher! He is easy and gives lots of extra credit. Collins is also hilarious in a juvenile sort of way. "But do we have time to talk about that?" (One of his favorite lines to end one of his topic digressions). He is very approachable for help and very kind. He knows what he is talking about. I will miss him at the end of the semester.

Mr. Collins is one of the best teachers I've had at COC so far. He actually made me want to come to class. The man is hilarious, which for a political science class is a definite plus. He is the best teacher I have ever had!! He is such a dork, he will crack a joke and then get offended if no one laughs. Its good fun. He LOVES giving out extra credit. Test are challenging, but you just have to study those notes! If you do that, and go to class all the time, easy A for ya! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!

He was the greatest teacher I've ever had!!! Now my major is Political Science. He was always funny and his class was very interesting. His extra credit assigments were always a good thing because you learned about interesting things that not many people know about. I would defenitly recommed him to a student that wants to take Political Science.

One of the best teachers I've had. Extra credit almost every week helps us to really learn something. I went into the final with over 100% grade because of E/C. Not only is his class easy and fun, but it really helped me learn the subject because of that. Remember, study for his tests 23 1/2 times!

One of the nicest professors I've ever had, he's funny too and wakes you up in the morning with his wacky jokes. He gives you all the answers in his lecture, just follow along on the handouts and write good notes. Do your presentation and paper early. Study key terms and significant cases in the text and know the handouts for exams.

I have given most of my teachers bad ratings, even those who gave me A's. But this time, I'm not. Mr. Collins is very friendly, helpful, and entertaining. The class is FAIRLY easy if you have a good memory. Just study the notes, and you'll pass! I actually learned something.

Mr. Collins is funny! He is also very considerate by not having us purchase the book he gives out hand-outs on everything! He also gives tons of extra credit (no homework) and if you do it and study his worksheets you will do great in his class! He is very clear on what he expects and there are no surprises...

Mr.C is awesome. He gives extra credit almost every class. He also lets you show up to any of his classes. If you have say a 9:30 class you can show up at the 11:10 no problem.

mr collins was great. he has one of the easiest classes around and he is a good teacher. he doesn't use a book and he hands out notes with all the test answers.he kinda rambles but its still interesting. highly recommended.

GREAT! SILLY! His stories help remember the material! A lot of e/c. everyday option of doing 2 short ans q's to vid watched in last 20 min of class to turn in for few pts e/c (they add up) 1 easy presentation/paper. Need to study the notes though to Ace the tests! i learned so much its ridiculous, i loved it!

Great Teacher... He gives out outlines of the topics he will be going over in class, which makes taking notes much easier... He also gives tons of extra credit so you always have a change to bring up your grade... Another wonderful reason why to take this teacher, is that he does not require a text book!

I actually took his class in fall 2011 but I'm just realizing what a great professor he was. I'm in another politics class now and I can barely stay awake. I forget everything the second I turn in an assignment, etc. Mr Collins was the opposite - he always gives you some silly way to remember something and it sticks with you forever. Perfect prof.

There are few people in the world that are meant to be teachers. Collins is one of those people. He goes beyond giving interesting information, but he is a great storyteller. He genuinely cares about the world and his students. He is inspiring and extremely motivational. One of the best teachers I have had- if not, the best.

He's a GREAT professor. He didn't want to make his students spend too much on a textbook so we didn't use one at all. He's a great story teller and has a story to go along with all parts of his lecture which helps you retain a lot of the lecture. Rarely gave HW but gave TONS of EXTRA CREDIT. I loved his class!

If Political Science isn't your thing then take Professor Collins and I promise by the end of the semester you're going to feel like a Political Science major! His classes are entertaining and very informative. He gives you the notes so as long as you study them you'll pass his class. Also, follow the instructions on the class project. Best teacher

Professor Collins is the most amazing person! I absolutely loved his class and the way he taught it! He is the biggest dork and super cute! But do all the extra credit he offers because it is part of your grade. he is super easy but yes it does require you to do work and laught a lot. Going to miss him

Old guy but super good at speaking and keeping the interest of the class. No textbook, don't order it. He gives you the notes that you need to study for his tests and other than one project and extra credit you have absolutely no homework. Super easy relaxed chill class. Got an A without trying.

Mr. Collins is a fun teacher, he's not too serious and is a jokster. Tests are super tough, but study your notes and and the outlines he gives and you will surely pass. Not my preference in teaching style, but he is a great teacher none the less.

Study your notes 27 times it works and make sure to give Professor Collins the red pepper if you rate him! Made me want to come to class everyday such a fun learning environment.

This was the easiest teacher I've ever had! He gives soon much extra credit and there are no surprises on the test. During his lectures, he gives you an outline and you fill that out while he speaks about the topic. If you just memorize those notes, you have nothing to worry about! A bonus is that he doesn't make you buy the $200 textbook.

Tests are easy and straightforward. He doesn't require a book unless the class votes to use it. He's really nice and funny and makes the lectures interesting, and he gives almost a full letter grade of extra credit if you do it all. Grading in his class is also extremely lenient.

You need to come bc we don't use a book, so the info is important from lectures, which are daily. He gives you fill-in notes, too! Don't stress! This class was easy!!!

Collins is such a sweet & passionate professor who also gives amazing lectures. This class isn't hard he gives a study guide and the exams look exactly like the study guide. If you can study for 5+ hours you'll easily pass the tests. There's no homework only one project so you're only graded on few items, 3 Exams that can make or break your grade
