I took A&P 1 over the summer. Collis is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. There are a lot of notes, but it's worth it. You don't even need a textbook because his notes are so good. Show up to every class, take notes, study, and you'll get an A. He's awesome.

A&P II summer session - Very patience, hands-on, straight forward, NO tricks, explains things extremely well, open to ask questions, writes his own notes, text not needed, will need lab books. A&P II is a hard course in itself because of amount of material content covered. However if your willing to put in the time, your getting a QUALITY teacher.

He is by far the best teacher in the science dept. I took bernardi for ap II. Night and day.collis's test are clear and hes not trying to fool you.If you take notes that he writes on the board you will do very well.Like i said he is pobably the best teacher i have ever had.Bringing a tape recorder never hurts for a&p.

very clear, a lot of in dept notes, test on the pigs was hard, however he is a great teacher, wished i could have taken him for lecture! he is the reason why I did not fail human bio, his notes are very clear and helpful. def take this teacher!

Great Professor! Very helpful and personable. Detailed notes and instructions. Very nice and really cares about the students. Class is hard and a lot to remember but if you stay on top of homework and reading - you will do great. Quizzes every class but only 5 counts. 6 exams in total but lowest grade 1 is dropped. I had this Prof. for AP2 summer session. Although I dropped the class becuase the pace was too fast for the session, I loved this professor. He teaches in a way that really helps you to understand the material. He really cares. I really liked him for the few weeks that I had him. i would take him again.

I got an A in his class. He is the best teacher around-he is crystal clear, you know exactly what to study for tests. If you cant get an A, you didnt study, period. Its alot of information of course but I agree, they dont come better than Collis. And he's HILARIOUS! Made me laugh ever day!

the best!!! so entertaining, explains hard concepts perfectly so that you don't have to read, tests relate to lecture, truly kind, always avail @ office. one of the few in his dept who gets that he is there to help students learn and increase their knowledge. seems obvious but so many profs don't seem to have your learning as their priority.

Had Prof. Collis for lab, awesome teacher, crystal clear on topics and materials and a great way of relaying info thru presentations & discussions (oh, and not so artistic drawings :) Great sense of humor and always helpful. Taking him for A&P 2, fall 2010, can't wait !!!

the best professor eva had! knows wat he is talking about, very clear with his teachings. i had him for lecture and lab for spring 11. dont get me wrong, u have to study otherwise u will fail! study around 1-2 hours aday and you will get an A! lab is easier than the lecture but have to memorize like hell! all in all i loved it! :D

Prof. Collis is awesome. A&P isn't an easy class & it requires plenty of studying but if you put in the effort you can get an A. I'm proof of this. Science is one of my worst subjects, studying is hard for me & I still got an A. All his exam questions come from his notes. He is clear, easy to understand and is always willing to answer questions.

I had this prof for AP2 and at first I thought he gave way more notes than my AP1 prof but in the end I loved him for it. This is the best prof ever and I wished he taught all my classes.He simplifies his topics and you really understand at the end of the day.He uses his own powerpoints so no need for the text and his test materials is from that.

Omg where do i start. professor collis is the bomb. Yes he gives you essay questions but they arent hard, you only make them hard if u dont apply yourself. Overall he is an excellent professor and like everyone else said he test you from his notes that are given to you(powerpoint slides) I recommend collis for everyone who will take a&p 1/2 @ wcc.

all you need for this class are your power point slides, and a coat because the room is freezing. he is a GREAT prof! he explains everything, all test come straight from the slides, essay questions aren't really essay questions just short answer questions really, they're a breeze. he is kinda funny, no homework, he drops the lowest quiz out of 4

One of the best profs I've ever had! Not a huge science fan, but he somehow made it interesting and understandable. Uses clear handouts and takes exam questions directly from them. His so-called essay questions are short answer and very straightforward. Highly, highly recommend!!

Best teacher I have ever had! He is crystal clear when explaining things in class and his notes are simple and to the point. His exams are thorough but as long as you review the material you'll be fine.

I had Prof Collis for A&P2, and I would recommend him to anyone who wants/needs to take this class. He is crystal clear on what he expects, and his notes contain everything you need to know. Missing a class is not the end of the world (although I recommend showing up to as many as you can!). He's very funny and clearly loves teaching.

Such a good communicator.He is so clear and precise and easy to understand. This is what all teachers should be. Its true he does deserve an award. Professor Collis is hands down the most amazing professor I have ever had. I took him for Bio, A&P 1,2. I wish I could clone him and have him as a professor for the rest of my life. He made lectures interesting and fun even at 8AM. Pretty straight forwards about what will get you a good grade. Study powerpoints and attend class and you're set.

He is an awesome professor, makes his lectures interesting and knows very well the subject, not like some professors that don't know what they teach. I took Lecture and Lab with him. I learned a lot in his class and I am glad he was my professor on my last semester here.

Robert Collis is a GOD! He is an amazing Bio and A&P professor. His lectures are clear and simple he breaks everything down so nicely. He even has his slides and lectures online so its okay to miss a class.. Questions are beautifully answered i just love asking him questions!

FANTASTIC professor! Took his A&P 2 Lecture and Lab and the experience was great! Lectures are excellent and everything you need to study is found in his lecture slides and recordings. Tests are in person and the lowest is dropped. Now, this is still A&P 2, so it is difficult, but if you study, ask questions and pay attention, you'll do just fine!

Great Professor, very clear and gives you funny analogies that help you remember certain things. Very fast grader will grade your exams and have them posted on blackboard that day. I took him for lecture and was able to go back to his recordings when studying. He answers your questions beautifully and is always willing to help.

I enjoy his lectures but I don't want people to think this class is an easy A. Just like any other class you have to STUDY. He doesn't give back tests but you are free to stop by his office to go over your test and he'll answer any questions you have. I would not recommend skipping class even if he does give you access to his online lectures.

As for the person complaining that he mostly grades us based on tests, all you have to do is print out the pp slides he provides and study those. No big deal. didn't have to spend $200 for the book. He's such a nice teacher. I was so scared i was going to do bad on the final but i received a 89! overall i got a B in the class

This is professor is extremely caring and attentive to his students, however the class itself is not easy at all. He gives 4 lecture exams and drops 1. In lab he gives 3 exams with about 75-100 practicals questions followed by a 50 question written as well. The textbook isn't required, so use his slides ( which are great) but STUDY STUDY STUDY!

Professor Collis is simply Amazing, I took him for A&P1 and received an A in the class after receiving a D with a different prof 4 semesters ago... If you follow his outline for the course, come to class, and study you will do good in his class for sure. I'm taking him for A&P2 this semester!!!

Professor Collis gets an A in my book. I had him for A&P 1 lab and he is very thorough. He gives quizzes every week but it's only for your benefit. His exams are very straight forward and every hand-out is exactly what is on the tests. He has a great sense of humor and I'd definitely take him again if needed!

Professor Collis is the best professor I ever had. His lectures are exceptional and he cares about his students passing the class. It's a lot of information, but he explains it for everyone to understand even if you are not a Biology major. It's mandatory that you attend class, put in the extra work and you would receive great results.

Amazing teacher! took him for anatomy 1 and 2! easy A , just attend class and follow his Power Points. Never has "surprise" questions on tests or quizzes. Super helpful, really cares about his students. Didn't use the textbook at all, he provides you with everything to need to pass. Don't expect to pass if you don't put in the work.

Took his hybrid online lecture and the in person lab. I will never take a hybrid science lecture ever again as a hand on/visual learner it was hard for me to get a full understanding through the online videos Collis had but it should have been enough. He is amazing in lab, has things called"Badge Quizzes" that really force you to learn.

Professor Collis, do yourself a favor and take him. He literally gives you everything that you need in order to pass. The way that he explains things is everything. A&P 1: online- drops a lecture test if he mentions it in the video, assume it's on the exam... I got 100 on 1 of them For his Lab: 2 written exams + 3 practical... Also has in class exams, which some get dropped his class fills up the same day it opens for a reason No science course is easy, but everything you need is here

Professor Collis is the BEST professor for lab. His lectures are really in depth with both ppt pictures and drawings (so you have to focus), but they are also really detailed and he's very helpful. Also helps that he's hilarious! His review/badge quizzes are great and he really wants his students to learn. I would 100% take him again if I had to.

Prof. Collis has been the best teacher I have ever had for Bio. He makes the class easier and fun to learn. He is hilarious and very caring towards his students. His badge quizzes are literally what help you learn all the models. Literally the best professor I have ever had at WCC. I recommend him to everyone that is taking BIO.

Prof. Collis is AMAZING!!! He makes learning fun and gives you exactly what will be on his exams. His badge quizzes are 15% and thats an easy giveaway. You have to study though because his lab exams and practicals are in depth. His class is definitely doable, I highly recommend him. Oh and hes also hilarious.

I'm lucky to have Professor Collis as my teacher. He has the best slides, which he goes over in class and are posted online. He uses an online textbook which is where he posts his homework assignments, and are very helpful for upcoming tests. He also gives you many chances for extra credit, which can really boost up your grades. BEST TEACHER EVER!

You can pass even if you don't do the homework on time. He gives a lot of extra credit for tests and accepts homework even if it was assigned 10 weeks ago. He's really funny and you can tell he genuinely enjoys teaching and he wants everyone to pass. Biology isn't hard but it will be if you don't give any effort.

BEST PROFESSOR IN HISTORY, he gives you every tool to pass and although this is a hard subject he makes it easy and fun, he is very understandble and helps you with anything you need.. His classes are very hard to find because they are taken within hours of registration opening he has very good reputation love him !

Professor Collis cares about his students ! A and P requires a lot of memorizing, and may be confusing during times. However, Collis clears the confusion up easily, and gets you to understand the material. He helped me conquer my fear of science because it was my worst subject in high school! Biology is fun thanks to him! Take him for A&P (1 & 2)

Prof Collis is hilarious and amazing. I personally had never done Biology before, and at first really struggled! His lectures are well laid out and explained, he always has time for questions. I missed around 5 classes, and passed and did the tests fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I absolutely loved Prof Collis! A real gem at WCC, he teaches so excellently and always makes sure his students are all on the same page. I had him for the lab portion of my bio class. He explains everything so thoroughly and provides 'cheat sheets' with what would be on his last 2 quizzes. You will NOT go wrong selecting him as your professor!

Professor Collis made lecture as easy as possible to follow and relate. His lectures are also on blackboard, which helps to pay attention to the lecture instead of jotting down notes. His test are based off the slides. Amazing professor wish he was teaching my next biology class.

Professor Collis really cares about his students. A&P 1 is a tough course and as long as you do the work, it won't be a problem. I would recommend him for A&P 1. Take him also for A&P 2.

This is a professor I have recommended to everyone Ive taken him for A&P2 and A&p2 the best a real gem and is there to help you not fail you or make it hard also records his lectures and you can access and have power point to help you explains everything very helpful wish all science teachers were like him

5 week summer course via remote learning. Collis made every class interesting and engaging. He posts all the lectures and tells you each class how to succeed for the week. Definitely take him, I learned a lot. He drops 3/7 quizzes. Do well on the practicals and written exam.

Most amazing proffesor I ever had. I took his 5 week summer course for A&P 1&2. I struggled with anatomy and physiology for a while and as soon as I took him it was so much easier. Explains everything in the easiest way for you to understand. Very respectful and patient. I studied at least 8 hours everyday, or you wont pass.

I took Prof Collis for A&P 1 & 2. If you see his class available sign up right away he fills up pretty quick. Hes an incredible prof I still remember the quirky mnemonics he came up with. You need to attend every class, dont study last minute, and in lab take pictures and recordings. You will learn or you will fail. One of my favorite WCC profs!

His attitude became ruder and his exams became harder. I didnt appreciate him making exams harder when we are online. I get people cheat but what about the ones that work hard and study. He became a bit aggressive towards the end and It turned me off. He purposely made his final hard so people could be set up to fail. He used to be better.

No attendance necessary but if you skip a meeting will probably affect a lot your knowledge about the concept that was taught that day. Read and study his slides �� needed for test. If you take it seriously and study hard you get An easy A.

His classes fill up quickly because hes simple AMAZING!!. Hes funny and very straightforward. Because of the pandemic I had to take it online so his practical exams were short answer with VERY limited time. his notes were in-depth.. Study what he says and you are guaranteed to pass. I wish more professors taught like him.

Professor Collis is the best A&P teacher I've had (I've taken other bio classes before). He explains things in a way that helps to understand the material he's teaching a lot better. I will be taking him again for A&P 2. I would have received a better grade if I didn't have some personal matters come up in the middle of the semester.

Prof Collis was very organized and patient, made AP easy to understand and he provided lots of tips to remember AP terms. His class was so interesting and inspiring. The tests were heavy but fair. Some students cheated last year, so we had strict rules. However, if you study hard, you will get great scores. Done AP1,2 in 10 weeks. Best teacher!

Study his notes & diagrams, put the work in and you will pass. He is very approachable. I can't wait to take A&P II with him over the summer! He's awesome!

Professor Collis is a gem & truly valuable professor. He provides really great examples, mnemonic devices, & fun facts. Open & patient with questions, & is very clear about what you'll be tested on. I thought I was terrible at science based on my high school experience. He made A&P so enjoyable, he will always be remembered.

When I enrolled for the class I was told by one of the WCC staff that he is a great teacher. I certainly attest it . He is a wonderful person and a tutor. I do not agree with some of the students comment. I say the exams are very reasonably easy compare to the other papers. I am very happy and glad to be his student. Safeena

Collis is amazing! He explains his material so well and he is very interested to listen to it. no homework, the textbook is only used for labs. He makes things easier to understand compared to my lecture teacher. Overall great teacher.

TAKE HIM I just finished this semester with Professor Collis and I have nothing but amazing things to say about him! He is kind, caring, funny and extremely helpful. He really cares his students .I am taking A&P2 with him. He lets you take videos of himself explaining material. By far my favorite prof I've ever taken.

Best professor EVER

Professor Collis is probably the best instructor I've ever had (and I have a prior bachelors and masters degree). He organizes and explains the content so well, shares clear, interesting and funny illustrations, and answers all questions enthusiastically. He loves to teach, and he's excellent at it. If you see a spot open in his class, jump on it.

Although the course is very difficult, robert collis is an amazing professor and explains the course very well. My advice is to take this class in person, it is way too lecture heavy to be taken online. be prepared to watch endless pre recordings, connect assignments, lots and lots of studying. You must devote alot of time to this class so be ready

I was having a very hard time retaining the topics because I had a lot going on in my life, but I am glad to say that professor help me a lot during his office hours. I strongly advise you to take this professor. The class itself is hard but he will make it worth your while when you take it with him. The best teacher for both A&P 1and 2.

Just take this guy for any/all science classes you need. He provides frankly, way more information than you'd expect, and ENSURES you have all you need to pass. A&P in general, is a very study-heavy course, so the more thorough the information, the better chance you'll have. Do NOT hesitate in taking this professor!

Collis is a SUPERSTAR professor! I had him for A&P1 in person lab & made sure to take him again this semester for A&P2 lab. He's very funny & makes lab feel more enjoyable. His lectures are clear & informative. He provides so much additional materials online that I used his recorded lectures to study. 100% recommend taking his classes!

GREAT professor for both Ap1 & Ap2. He explains the topics so you can understand and allows you to absorb the information in a fun quriky way. I would definitely take him again if I had the opportunity to. He gives all the information necessary but you must pay attention and take good notes because the test are a bit difficult and many questions.

A&P is a very difficult class but professor collis made it so easy to understand! You can tell he loves what he does and cares about his students. Of course there is a lot of material but he breaks it down so well. He is definitely one of the best professors on campus :)
