Good CRJ teacher who enjoys bringing up class discussions about CRJ issues that affect our society. Show up for every class. Take down all his presentation notes and youll get an A.

Good class and very easy if you like talking or have an outgoing personality.

i liked his class alot and the tests are fair. he gets students involved and works well with them.

he teaches larger theories and ideas in criminal justice and its conversations with him giving the notes. i recommend it

i thought the class was really good. he gives out notes, has discussions on them and gives 2 exams and 2 short papers. he's easy going and will help you if you ask.

he is cool as hell.the best part is that you never stay in class the full time your suppose to. but he is helpful in everyway plus if he say buy a book dont because he works out of packets he makes.

Its much better now with him than before....he makes it understandable and he is always there to help....

I liked the class b/c he handed out the notes. Had clear tests with reviews prior to exams and is helpful. The book was not needed, but why should that be so bad.

Costello is a good guy. His classes are awesome. He doesnt make anything difficult and the books he asks you to buy are cheap anyway so who cares if you use them. Hes a good guy to know while your at NCC. TAKE THE CLASS

Prof. Costello is not only a great teacher but all in all a great person. Students who tends to hate him are students who are DUMB enough to not do anything in class... in other words LAZY people. Several courses can be boring but no way that ONE can be prof. Costello's class!!!

This is the best professor in the world. He is funny and on point. I took like six classes with him and got an A in all of them. You can't ask for a better professor and he is too HOOOOTTT.

Had him for Sociology 101, he was great! He gave us notes all typed up for us and gave the class some test questions and answers a class or two before the test. I deff recommend him, I'd take him again.

This professor made this class my favorite-- everything he talks he relates to very interesting events thats occurred in real life. Not gonna lie he's a funny guy, he talks almost the whole class nd its never boring, class goes by real fast, recommend you apply for his class

This class is great!! I had him for a CRJ class and happily learned he was teaching this soc. class. He gives out notes, makes the lectures connected to real life and gives out poetry for fun. The exams are straight forward...highly enjoyable.

Amazing ! very easy just come to class study the papers and you will have a very easy A good professor !

This is a writing class so be prepared. Grade is based on three separate 3 page papers and one 10 pg paper. The 3 short papers are based on personal expierence/goals and a few things learned in class; the 10 page paper is on a supreme court case of your choosing. Professor outlines everything and its real simple once its broken down

I had him for winterim and could not be happier. The class was a great one with such good discussions. The work was alot with 3 exams and 2 essays, but one of the best experiences at NCC. Good professor whose love for the subject is clear and is a very helpful person.

Really cool guy, doesn't make you feel stressed & is very funny. As far as the work its not THAT easy & doesn't make his essay topics clear enough. But hes not boring & makes the class pretty interesting. Plus hes not strict & easygoing

His class was really interesting and fun. He is a really nice guy and cares about his students. The test prep was extremely helpful and the only way you wouldn't do well was if you never showed up for class. I highly recommend him as a prof. I think I have a crush on him ;)

He is smart, kind, compassionate and sooo handsome. Kudos to him.

One of my best professors I've had. Instead of power points, he used deep discussion and real time examples to keep the classes attention. Easy to relate to (one of the younger professors I had), always available for conversations after class, even attended a meeting at a Dean's house to show his care for the student body. Rare find!

He is an amazing professor! I have him for CRJ 212 and SOC 201! We don't need a text book at all. He gives you a packet the first day of class. Study your notes! For SOC we had 3 tests very easy, and for CRJ we had 2 essays that had to be 3 pages long and 1 essay that had to be 8 to 10 pages! It's not bad though.

I love this professor. He's so kind and easy going; like someone else said - he really doesn't make you feel stressed at all. He is very smart and makes the class interesting.

Love this professor! Every class hed come in and ask what we did over the weekend or talk about something that he read in the paper! He hands out a packet full of notes which is all you need for the test. Before each test there is a review day and a study day to help you. He will tell you exactly what will be on the test!

He is an amazing teacher. Theres not a lot of work, the class is very fun, you dont need a textbook at all. You get a packet the first day and thats what you need for test. You get one essay 3-4 pages and 3 test all 33 multiple choice, right out of the packet. He's extremely funny, and very easy to understand. I definitly reccommend his class.

Best Professor ever, take Him! He gives 1 term paper that he walks you through, you have 3 short homework assignments besides that. You learn and leave class super early.

I took Understanding Criminal Behavior as an online course. Professor Costello was a great professor. Tests and assignments were not too difficult.

Such a great professor! He really goes above and beyond to make the information clear and easy to understand he is very approachable and understanding. Wish he could teach all of my classes!

Loved him! Hes funny, down to earth, honest, and straight to the point. Do all the work+study and youll pass. He honestly makes it pretty hard to fail. He does review days to go over the material on the test and He defiantly tries to make sure his students do well. I totally recommend him !

Do the work! I took his online class which was very informative and relaxing. He posts video lectures that correspond with course notes, and review questions to help you prepare for the exams (multiple choice/True/False). He is flexible and graded fairly. He even met with me on campus for a 1-on-1 exam review. Textbook is used; you need it to study

Excellent professor. Very interesting class and very helpful who cares for students. I would take more classes with him. He also gives study tips that work and career advice.

Took his hybrid course. Super chill prof and is very knowledgeable. He's very clear about his lectures & exams. Always made class interesting & had lots of discussions. Hybrid class required weekly discussion post about new material learned. Would def recommend him.

I usually dont write reviews, but Prof. Costello's class has been amazing. It was an online class, but he's so well connected to his students that you'll feel like he's there with you. Truly cares for his students and does his best to for you to do well. Do the work and pay attention to the notes. Unless sleeping, you'll be fine.

Prof Costello is the most caring professor I've ever had. He genuinely cares about students doing well in class. His exams are based on his notes and any additional stuff he says during his lectures. There are 3 exams and weekly assignments that really straight forward. He always asks if anyone has questions. If you can, sign up for his classes.

Prof. Costello is honestly one of the kindest humans Ive ever met. He has a real passion for Criminal Justice & Sociology & it shows! He wants his students to succeed and gives you all the resources needed to do so - including print outs of the text online so we dont have to buy a text! I took a hybrid class with him. During the online portion, he reviewed everything we had done in class so it was like getting the same lecture twice. It was a very easy class, the hw is easy as well if you pay attention.

I took a hybrid class where we only met on wed. He is a great professor who teaches well and his exams are fair,This professor teaches u a lot that u can also use in the real world. He even helped us by showing good job recommendations with good pay like a backbone in case we wanted to switch. He helps a lot and gives review sheets too.amazing prof

Dr Costello is an extremely fair and understanding professor. He looks out for his students and wants whats best for them. He really helped me out in my transfer process and I would definitely take a class with him again.

Dr. Costello is a very caring and patient professor. He met me once a week and sat with me until I fully understood what we were learning. His lectures were very interesting. As long as you study the exams are very fair. I would take him again if I could. Best professor ever!!!!

Great class with recorded lectures and lecture notes that make it easy to learn the material. Professor emails us weekly and is quick to reply back. Lowest exam grade dropped and weekly assignments are straight forward which are graded within a day or two. Gives good career information and connects us to college events transfer fair job fairs.

I have taken all my criminal justice classes with him and he is the best. He helps you when you are having trouble understanding materials and will meet with you. All the assignments are very reasonable and you are given a timely manner to complete them. I recommend him all the way as someone who is not the strongest in school.

Very chill class, Im glad for the opportunity to take this class w/ Prof Costello. He works with students to make sure we understand & pass. Talks w/ u individually each class to see where you are & gives pointers. Last assignment was about us which I enjoyed.
