Great teacher...

I had him for at least 3 classes. English, Into to psychology & Public Speaking. I graduated in Nov.2010. His lectures are great. He goes out of his way to help everyone achieve. He completely understand when "Family Emergencies" happen. He's a wonderful teacher and I would highly recommend him. Very good!!!

Rob is one of the better teachers i've had and I like that he wants us to be informed. Before taking this class, there was a lot of things I wasn't aware of that were going on in the world and he got me interested in wanting to be informed.

I really enjoyed taking this class. A lot of people don't take the time out of their daily lives to educate themselves on what is going on in the world that we live in, and this class made you find out the latest on what's happening. Mr. DeFinis is a very well spoken instructor. My level of enthusiasm was very low prior to my first day of class, but after my first class it rose higher than I could imagine. He brings a lot of knowledge to the classroom and keeps it interesting. I use what he taught me everyday now without even thinking about it! I hope to have him !

With only 3 more classes to take till I graduate this was the best class so far. Rob is an exceptional teacher that wants to see students grow! He keeps you involved even in material that may seem not so interesting. Love all the examples he gives.

Rob is a fantastic teacher! I actually looked forward to Speech Communication. He kept everyone moving, thinking (and laughing.) Has been my favorite class thus far.

I came into this class disappointed that I had to take it. I had little interest in current events, the news, and politics I had never even exercised my right to vote. I can now say after this course I'm paying more attention to what's going on , watching the news, and even voting for the first time today. Thanks again for making me see the world.

The first night of class i was a little intimidated but as long as you do the assignments and show up for discussion you will soar through the class. Definitely one of my favorite teachers and classes of all I have taken.

Rob DeFinis was an amazing teacher this semester. I went into this class knowing nothing about sociology and coming out with a different view on life and the people around me. I had a good time taking his class and would enjoy taking more classes with him as a teacher.

Came in expecting nothing just another boring psychology class, walked out more knowledgeable about a variety of Organizational Psychology than I anticipated.

You'll never be bored in any of the classes he teaches. You'll also gain personal self worth by taking his classes and you'll have more of an open mind towards a lot of topics you didn't think about. I would also recommend showing up to class, it's well worth it!

I was very much interested in the course material. It gave me a better insight to my communications, behaviors, self awareness, etc. I like the professor and would take another of his classes. He does not give you 20 hours of homework just because that is what they are supposed to do. He wants you to learn and understand the course material.

Was one of my favorite class this semester, he went into depth in the lectures using real world events to relate to what we were learning. Something that i found really beneficial

I learned so much in this class. I learned about ethical theories, and I also learned about myself to make myself a better person. I now look outside the box and not be blindsided by what I am for. To see if there really is an ethical dilemma and how to take it head-on. I learned to have the best option a compromise and to have the worst option.

During this course I learned a lot. Dr. DeFinis is a great teacher, making sure we understood the material, yet stressing the point that it is up to the students to do the work to gain more knowledge. I enjoyed the discussions we had in the class. His drive to get students out of their shell and to get involved was refreshing.

Dr DeFinis took time to explain, enlighten and inspired me to look at the course material and apply it to my own life. He was well versed in his knowledge and his way of sharing that with the class was well received. The only think I would have asked is that he could have used a softer spoken voice, he is loud. :)

Dr. DeFinis is one of the most genuine people you will ever met. He truly does what he does for students because he cares about our futures, and hopes to supply us with the tools we need to succeed in our careers and life in general. Love his topics and the way he gets you to think and get involved.

Dr. Definis was patient but fair. You had to earn your grades but if you showed him you were willing to do the work he cut you a break . I really enjoyed his class and listening to his lectures I hope in the future to be able to have another class with him.

I think he was a good teacher, and he sparked a lot of class discussion. It helped me clarify my understanding being able to talk about the concepts we were learning about at great length.

I took so much from this class. Going into this I thought I knew it all already but, in all reality there was much I've gained. I gained confidence, self motivation and I'm now more aware of my personally blind spots. I look forward to applying everything in my journey.

As my first class it was a great introduction to LSB. DR. Definis made me think a lot about where I want to take my career, and how to move forward with my education.

I was a bit intimidated by Dr Definis at first but after the second class with him I've learned that he genuinely wants you to learn from his class.. Not only that but he will go through different lengths to help each student understand what he is teaching.. After this class he has made it into my list of favorite teachers! His lectures are great and super interesting! Very clear on his expectations. I like that the tests are take home so you can really take your time on them. I would take one of his classes again!

I absolutely loved this class. I went from being a shy person who didn't want to participate to someone who loved being involved and coming up with different theories. It was absolutely awesome!
