I love Mr. Del Corso. He is a very nice man and is thorough in lectures. If you pay attention you will know exactly what is on his tests. It is a lot of memorization but you will know the answers if you go to class. He makes history a bit more fun if you don't like the subject. Definitely worth taking his class.

I love Mr. Del Corso! He is very sweet and understanding and wants all of his students to pass. This class consisted of 2 papers and 3 exams. All of which are super easy. The tests are straight from the notes and he tells you exactly what will be on it and what to study. I would highly recommend taking him!

A great professor. Responds very quickly to emails. Lectures are thought-provoking, humorous, and unpretentious. He is a tough grader (you have to WORK HARD for an A) but he also helps you along-the-way with your papers and is VERY generous with extensions. He will return tests & papers quickly so you know where you stand in his course.

Professor Del Corso was awesome! His class is VERY lecture heavy! But hes a great teacher and you can tell that he knows his stuff. He doesnt have a lot of grades though. He does 2 tests, 2 papers, the final, and a participation grade. So only 6 grades but its not that bad. He also posts all notes on Blackboard. Great Teacher!

Amazing professor. He is very accommodating, very helpful and always has your best interests in mind. VERY lecture heavy, but there are preset notes to follow along. If you have any questions, he replies to emails quickly. You can ask for extensions on papers with no penalty. Likes chicago style for essays. Cool dude :)

Robert Del Corso was a great professor and I also had him as my advisor. He allows extensions on assignments if your in the weeds in another class, and he responds quickly to email. He really seems like he puts his students first.

How he recalls certain historical events, time periods, or people is very biased and from a conservative, traditional, and catholic point of view, so if you are a multi-spectrum historian who has taken other history courses you will not like his class. On tests you have to write your essays exactly how he wants it or you'll fail.

If you do not answer his essay questions the way HE wants it, you will not pass. I got a 98 on my 8 page research paper in this class and continually received low scores on my essays on the test. It makes no sense that I can get an immaculate grade on a paper and then receive a 50 on an essay question. He is the toughest grader I have ever had. DNT

Del Corso is amazing. He does not give extra credit BUT he is accessible. We started the semester by telling him the things we have going on in our personal lives such as a job or children, and he accommodates for it. He is also willing to give an extension for anything we may ask for. He's caring but he does lecture faithfully every course meet.

Del Corso is a very approachable and fair professor. What is said about his test essays are true, but if you cover everything in the notes that is UNDERLINED, he will accept if fairly well (those are the things he believes are important). He gives quality but heavy lectures, his background made for history from a perspective I hadn't heard before.

He does not give a lot of assignments, but he grades his test ridiculously tough. 80 percent of the test is an essay about a vague topic, but he expects you talk about many specific key points. If you don't write exactly what he wants, he'll give you less than half the credit for it. This resulted in me getting 50s on the test. Don't take him.

The class was unnecessarily hard. On the test, there is few multiple choice questions but did nothing to improve your grades. Each test revolved around the essay and if it wasn't done in a certain way, he would fail you. He do not give second changes for anything you submit, but will always give extensions.

Robert Del Corso is known as one of the worst history teachers due to his harsh, rude, and unsupportive teaching style. He belittles students rather than helping them, creating a hostile classroom environment. His lack of empathy and poor communication skills leave students disengaged and discouraged. Whatever you do, choose anyone else.

Professor Del Corso is a passionate instructor who genuinely cares about student success. He is lenient with granting extensions if you have a valid reason. He gives good feedback on assignments. However, his tests are writing-heavy, and you will lose points for missing minor details or for not answering in the exact way he expects.
