Very good professor. He makes the lectures more interesting. Take very good notes in this class and you will do fine. The tests are multiple choice and a few short answers. Everything on the test comes directly from the notes.

I had him for Summer 1. He is very generous and grades you nicely. He loves using 'v' words. Attendance is not mandatory but everything he covers in the lectures are on the test so it hurts if you miss lectures. Overall, You will learn a lot and he will be very helpful to you. I'd take him again.

I knew most of the things he taught because of my interest in environmental issues, but I still enjoyed the class. He is very into the subject and cares about the students that want to do good in the class. Attendance isin't really mandatory but he gives a lot of notes, so you will be screwed when it comes time for the test. He doesn't give review sheets for the test but if you take notes, you should be fine.

i was surprised there r such professors exist. He is the best! he is funny and so interestin (im not into bio or any science at all) and in the same time u need to study if u want a good grade. lab Quizzes every 2 weeks, but they are very easy. U not really doing anything in a lab and he lets u go early. I enjoyed the lectures and learned a lot.

You do have to study but if you just pay attention to his classes you'll pass (and I'm a lazy student so it's easy for you lazy students out there). First off, this guy is hilarious. His lectures consist of around 30 minutes of real note taking (if that) and the other 45 minutes are taken up by him rambling on and making hilarious jokes. While he does joke around a lot, his lectures and power points are CRYSTAL CLEAR and if you dont understand he is more than happy to help. EASY EASY A.

The course is NOT an easy A. I am getting a B+ and working hard for it. The lectures are crystal clear and he is always willing to help. And those rambles are what make the class so interesting and are always related to what we are doing and what I will remember most. Super passionate for the environment and for teaching. This professor honestly changed my views and helped me learn so much about the environment. His stuff actually stuck with me which I think is a huge deal in college since we tend to forget most of the material that is taught to us. He is very passionate about the subject which makes the class not boring at all.

Took his Envir. Bio class & it changed how I look at so many things, he relates everything you learn to current events & always keeps students involved in the discussions instead of nonstop lecturing. He's a pretty lenient grader & his website is also very clear so you always know when tests are, can look at pictures from lab. etc. TAKE HIM!

If you're bad at science like me, do yourself a favor and take professor Dill. As long as you review a bit from the power point and review sheet before quizzes and test guaranteed easy A. Only has 4 tests and 6 lab quizzes (drops the lowest grade for a quiz). No homework.

i love professor dill, he is amazing professor. all you need is the Lab book, even though he doesn't let the class out early lol he very funny i really did enjoy this class. most of the text and exam are on the power points and take notes in class and you will do just fine!

best professor I had while @ Bergen. Test are Super easy if you pay attention to the power point and class discussion. Lab Quizzes also super easy, just do the lab work. amazing professor. he LOVES what he does. he doesn't care about attendance for lecture, but if you don't go make sure you review the powerpoint because thats your tests. his tests are easy as long as you have the material. in lab you won't get out early but it isn't a waste of time because he's so entertaining. i wish he taught other sciences!

This class was fairly easy, but you will learn a lot and he will have you thinking very differently about the environment and your actions -- he LOVES what he does, very passionate, and even if you don't like science - you will not be bored. I wish he taught other sciences!! I have no idea what I'll do after this class because I have to take 1 more

Great professor! Best one I had ever! He's funny, nice, and understanding. Attendance is not mandatory, but the lectures were fun. The test do have a lot of material in them but he gives you everything you need to know and you don't need to purchase a textbook.

No homework, and the &quot;textbook&quot; is a laboratory manual that is used daily in labs. Lectures are easy to understand and tests are very fair. Take this class it's an easy A!

Overall a great professor. Takes the class to field trips, known for his various bow ties, heavy on lectures, doesn't care about attendance (wouldn't skip though), study his power point and pay attention to what he says and you'll definitely pass.

Great guy, quite entertaining and very enthusiastic. Uses a lot of humor to keep things light because tbh the content is boring. always willing to help students improve grades via extra credit. lecture attendance not mandatory lab is. quizes in lab are easy just study for them. provides powerpoints no textbook needed. mention jeopardy thank me l8r

He is very funny and in tune with pop culture. His test are straight from the power points but you do have to memorize over 150 slides per test so get ready to study. Lectures are not mandatory but the labs are. Offers three extra credit opportunities during year. Def take again!!!

He is the real MVP! Great, entertaining, smart, funny, eco-friendly, genuine professor. Really cares for students, if you visit during office hours he often has candy. Even though lecture isn't mandatory, I would recommend going because he makes jokes during lecture to keep you awake lol, but don't miss lab! Use a reusable water bottle!

One of the best professors I had at BCC. He's very politically vocal, but that just adds to the fun of the classroom. He truly cares about his students, easy grader. Definitely take any/ all of his classes!

This is one of the coolest professors I have ever had. Quiz's are easy if you pay attention to the labs and test are also easy if you pay attention to lectures. He gives extra credit of a 500 word essay and you hand it in before a test. Guess where those extra credit points go to... YOUR FINAL GRADE. If you miss class, he won't care.

Awesome professor, always made class interesting with personal experiences. Definitely one of my favorite classes and professors. Very knowledgeable and helped during dissections but made you think the question out so you were able to learn the material. Class was alot of memorization but he made sure it stuck even to this day.

Great professor, actually wants his students to gain knowledge. No hw, is a fair grader &amp; very understanding. People complain that he's test-heavy, all you have to do is dedicate the time to study. tests are right out of the power points &amp; he gives a study guide. If you don't study or pay attention then you won't do well but that's college.

Very engaging teacher defiantly would recommend. Tests are all primarily multiple choice and easy to pass if you understand the notes

When an exam is coming up, he puts up the Study Guild two weeks ahead of time. All the class notes are on his website (his website is on the Syllabus) and generally he really cares about this class as there is extra credit that relates to the Environment (recycling old paint cans or Lights), and it's Challenging. Extremely Recommend

He is one of the best professors at BCC, he is caring and provides feedback on student performance. He has a sense of humor, gives extra credit and is very engaged with his students. Would definitely take again, cool man

Professor Dill is one of the nicest professors ever! I had his class in person up until the coronavirus kicked in and we were moved to online. He truly cared about how we were doing and he made a huge effort in keeping our class up and running. I had him for lecture and lab and I wish I could take this class again.

Possibly one of the best teachers. Very enthusiastic about what he teaches which is something I look for hugely!! He has a habit of going off track but it's nothing too bothersome ... PLEASE SHOW UP TO THE TRIPS!! it would mean the world to him:( Very easy class to get an A in just do the work on time :)

Good professor, strict late policy. With my family life situation this semester it was hard to get work in on time and he wasn't very understanding. He gives great lectures, and he's very passionate about the subject matter. If I could have had the library open to have a quiet place alone to do the work that would have been better. Take in person.

I loved Prof. Dill. He is hilarious, easygoing, and his class is an easy A all the way. Homework was so light I couldn't believe it was a 4 credit course. He really cares about what he teaches and is super personal with his students. If you're taking his online class, he gives out study guides instead of tests, which are lengthy, but really easy.

Go take him. No more words needed. About 5 tests, one essay, and some quizzes. study for like 2~3 days then you get A for all of them. He knows what he's talking about and you will ACTUALLY LEARN something in this class. Def worth taking this course. Go ahead. Easy A and you will actually learn something meaningful

Professor Dill is one of the best teachers for whichever science you take. He is very educated, passionate, and makes lectures a lot more fun than other teachers. My advice pay attention and participate and he will like you! His study guides are exactly like the test! He has honestly changed my way of living couldn't thank him enough for everything

Grade=Tests, the study guide is VERY reflective of exam material (memorize sg=A). Lecture wise, Prof Dill knows how to keep your attention. Though, lectures are only so descriptive, more or less reiterating the slides; Then again not much in depth explanation is needed for most of the concepts. The lab component is the same deal. Good professor.

10/10 would take his class- you don't just learn about Biology, you learn about everything and cool weird facts. Very passionate about his work; rarely any homework, essay was extremely easy to do if you just listen, all power points are online, gives out fun extra credit. He's a professor that wants to spread goodness within his students.

Study 2 days in advance ur fine. Gives easy powerpoints to understand. Make a friend in class and share a quizlet its the easiest way to pass. Whatevers on the powerpoint/study guide is on the test so its an easy A if you study. No homework. 1 small essay based on video of Leo Dicaprio. Hes so funny & understanding you'll want to go to class :)

Passionate is the best word i can use to describe professor Dill. He really IS his work and wants to not only teach but inform, very intelligent and aware. Not too much work but his tests are hefty so ALWAYS prepare for a few days before.

Professor Dill has been the best professor that I've ever had. He is extremely passionate about his job which comes through very clearly in his work and class. Not only is he motivational, but inspirational. He is an outstanding professor and an amazing person. I would take his class again in a heartbeat if I could.

Professor Dill is by far the best science professor in that building. He is very helpful & he won't give you the answer outright but he will give you the path towards it. Just be prepared for quizzes and tests, take notes, and pay attention and you will pass

He never discussed obesity or weight loss during class and yes, he is passionate about exercise. And any discussions happen before class starts and are meant to inspire, not alienate. He does talk about eating better, exercising, and not smoking so we can live longer and healthier lives. He truly cares about each of us and wants the best for us.

Because he emphasizes the preservation of nature, he often shares how he chooses to spend time outside! He ties his personal interests of spending time outdoors to the lessons which makes the content very easy to digest.

he hates pickles so i would put a pickle on his desk every week before class can someone please continue the prank. also in all seriousness dill is one of the best professors i've ever had. he's so passionate and his lectures are very interesting. i would take him again if i could.
