Very nice. Very easy grader. Gives plenty of time for the essays, and then lets you rewrite them if you don't like your score. Personally, I think it's too easy. It's supposed to be a college course.

Mr. Dixon-Kolar was an awesome teacher, I learned a lot from him! He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and he wants to see you succeed in his class! He encourages us to come to him for help! Take his course you will not regret it!

d-k was a cool teacher, fun quirky, but all around a nice guy. take him if you want a cool teacher thats not too hard and is not a jerk!

Definately take this class! DK is a very nice guy who is willing to take the time to help anyone who needs it. He prepares the class very well for all the essays he requires you to do. They are not very long and very easy topics to write about. I probably missed almost half of the classes and still got on A.

He is an incredible professor who teaches with a clarity and intensity never seen. I want him againas my professor.

He is such a nice man. He gives assignments but is very lenient on due dates and lets you turn it in multiple times if you don't like your grade. He helps anyone out if you need it both academically and personally. Such a great professor

Dr. D-K will go out of his way to make sure everyone understands. His priority was that everyone improved from where they were before. He can find good things in any paper. I liked that he gave specific outlines for assignments, but would allow students to be creative if they wanted. Isn't strict about deadlines, Gives feedback on each paper, A+!

Mr. DK is hands down the best professor I have ever had at C.O.D. He is very helpful. 5 papers, 5 tests, and attendance is your grade. I was nervous about taking an english class but Mr. DK made class very intresting and I'm actually starting to like english now.

He's a highly disorganized teacher. Our class was supposed to have 5 essays, 5 tests but we only really ended up doing 4.5 essays and 4 tests. The one essay was half finished. Yeah. I like him though! He is a good teacher.

I really recommend this professor! He's so nice and really cares about helping students. I was very ill and missed quite a few classes and when I returned he was very helpful with getting me caught up. Was understanding when I needed extra time. I was surprised to have gotten a B, I know I would've gotten an A if I weren't sick. Easy final exam!

Professor Dk is very helpful guy. There is 5 essays and attendance points. No test, no quizzes or FINAL!!! He is willing to help students and revise a paper:) very nice guy EASY A !!!

I was a bad writer in high school. I had just about given up on being a proper writer but Mr. DK showed me the ropes and made me fall in love with a subject I had serious contempt for. He's very patient, respectful, and caring, but also honest about what you need to do to improve. If you want to be a better writer, Mr. DK is your guy.

The class may be slightly dull but, he really does care about the student. He will tell you exactly how to fix your paper to make it stronger if you ask. He's very nice and he gives you the tests to do before the actual test day. He explains everything so there is not a small chance someone can fail this course.

Professor DK was an amazing professor for English 1101. He is very caring and patient with students and is always willing to meet with you outside of class. We had 4 tests however, he was an easy grader and we also had 4 papers to write plus a portfolio project at the end of class.

Professor D-K is awesome! He is very kind and will help you become a better writer. If you are worried about your writing, like I initially was D-K will change that. He gives extra credit for getting help with the Learning Commons, and will allow you to rewrite papers for full credit.

He is super supportive and helpful. The book is needed like 2 times over the semester, save the money and use the book at the library. He only took attendance like 7 times over the whole semester. Awe had 5 papers over the semester, he said it depends on how long each takes by the whole class and 3 tests. He is extremely understanding also.

DK was amazing! One of the best teachers Ive ever had. His class was always something to look forward to and I never had to worry about not doing well. He was always there and helped you no matter how much you needed him. If you take this class there is no one more qualified!

I took this class in Summer (2019). As someone who dreads writing lots of papers, Prof. DK made this class very easy. He is an easy grader and gives good feedback. He even posts essays written by his former students as examples of his assigned essays. Whenever I needed help on my essays, he would be willing to help. I highly recommend Prof. DK!

Professor D-K has been my favorite Professor at COD. With everything being online because of covid, Professor D-K does a damn good job. He is always responding to emails which is super great because most professor don't respond until a day later but D-K responds quickly. I recommend this class with this professor to anyone. I'd take it again.

D-K is by far one of my FAVORITE professors at COD. He wants you to succeed and will work with you. He is very understanding that life happens and provides plenty of examples when it comes to the papers he wants you to write. He is also very good at responding to emails and is all around a very caring person.

Mr. D-K is an excellent professor. He has low expectations for his students and as long as you do the work, you should do well. He usually took late assignments with no penalty.

I have never met so nice and caring professor! Professor Dixon-Kolar is a real pedagogue, he helps you to understand all of the assignments well and he will give you another chance to re-submit your work.

The class is all about writing, so you would expect a lot of paper works especially for essays. Prof D-K is a very considerate professor, he wanted everyone in class to succeed. He is very thorough in grading and giving feedback. Do all of the assigned works, and you will be fine the whole semester.

Mr. Dixon-Kolar was a very resourceful teacher who really made my experience in English 1101 not too complex. Whenever I had questions, he had just the right answers and was always willing to lend a hand. While he does have class expectations that should be met, his grading will certainly match with the effort you put in towards the assignments.

D-K was a great professor for an online course. He laid out all of the projects with great detail and provided explanation videos to refer to if necessary. He was always available to answer questions (quick replies with email) and as long as you actually put effort to do the assignment as he presented it you will get an A. He's an easy grader.

I've taken him in a lower class then took him in English 1101, he is a great professor, he is willing to help his students and he cares. I definitely recommend him to whoever wants to have a good professor. You wont regret taking him. Also, he knows how to talk to his students.

I just finished the 5-week summer class, which is fast, but professor DK is really patient and he is the most gentle man I have ever seen. This class is helpful for your writing skills.

Prof. DK is the best English teacher I have ever had. He is very patient and makes sure everyone understands the topics. There are five main essays that weigh more, some busy work throughout the week. He is a great professor for shy and outgoing people, and never did too much calling on students. Worked in groups only a couple of times. Recommend!
