This teacher was really helpful if you have questions. The class tends to go a little slow so don't bother to work ahead since most of the hw questions will be done in class. The tests are fairly easy. very straightforward from the hw, no trick questions except on the bonuses. He doesn't give out busywork, just relevant material to the test.

He has lots of resources and explains the material. Attend class and you should do ok. Tests aren't m/c but they are pasable. Has bonus questions that help.

Who ever did not give prof. Foster a good grade is probably because they are extremely lazy. He is a good teacher, his test are based on the homework and what he goes over in class. He does not even give a lot of homework. 3 test and you get to drop the lowest one which helps a lot. He is easy to understand. BEST EVEr!!!

Best Teacher - Period

I had an interesting time in his class in the Fall 2008. He explained what to expect, you read, had enough homework to help you understand the materials, he drops lowest grade and no problems. Decent teacher.

I took acct 1 with another teacher who didnt teach us. we learned on our own. so i thought acct 2 would be hard. but foster was clear and helpful. he is awesome. very fair in grading. tests easy! you just have to go to class.

He's the best. Tests are easy. Read the book and do the homeworks, then you get an A. If you feel that his tests are too hard or you can't understand what he's talking about, you should really look for another major.

Prove you're serious from the very beginning. If he knows you really want to learn and put in the reading and work required, he will genuinely help you. Pop quizzes = power points from online. Test problems = class/hw problems. Test MC Qs are straight from the book so keep up w/ the reading. He's intimidating but a really cool guy.

Not an easy subject, you must keep up with the reading. He is a really nice guy and will try his best to help you once you show him you are serious. Foster is a great teacher. He provided the information that you needed and it was upto you to study. All the people complaining are just upset that they EARNED a low grade. This class was not hard, but took some effort to get a good grade. Highly suggest in taking Foster.

I begged him to allow me in to his class 2 weeks into the semester, he was very hesitant but I wouldn't leave him alone and I had a seat. I didn't even care about the class I just needed the credits. He doesn't have patience and won't explain. Tests are fair and anyone can pass if they work.

Don't take this professor personally. Read and complete his assignments and tests. If you don't understand his material, be ready to be badgered a bit by him. Foster will motivate you to learn his material and explain things if you are not understanding. He is old school; don't expect to be babied by him. I took Acc1 and 2 with him and am happy.

If you want to learn, take him. Not the most approachable teacher, tends to be impatient with questions, but does an amazing job teaching the subject. I took him for acctg 1 (summer) so the pace was extremely fast but if you read the book & pay attention in class, you'll do well. Drops lowest test (except finals) and curves. Would take him again.

Professor Foster is a really great guy and educator. He is old-school so don't expect any hand-outs and save your crocodile tears for some other professor. He will grade solely on tests and a little bit of homework but if you study, there is no problem. He also drops your lowest test score. If you don't read, why expect a good grade out of thin air

Foster is a good professor, no doubt about it. Just don't play around in his class. He gets off topic often but if you pay attention you will pass. Don't sleep in his class he will kick you. Took his ONLINE Acctg 1 class. Very simple and straightforward. Cengage HW and tests so it was easy to do well as it was open book. He's active when it comes to announcements and is easy to get a hold of. Accounting is hard so of course you have to put time into it, you can't expect to get handed an A grade.

Great professor who actually teaches the material. Provides excellent resources for learning. The class is straightforward and it was quite easy for me to get an A. He provided extra credit opportunities, which was great. I loved his class! Much better than other online classes.

Easy to follow. Homework is challenging, but you get multiple attempts. Drops lowest exam/quiz grade and lowest homework. No mandatory lectures or attendance. Easy to reach for extra help (zoom). I studied and got an A.

Professor Foster is my favorite professor so far. He helps you when you need it, explains everything simply so its easy to understand and is very laid back. I recommend participating in class and asking questions on the spot. Hell explain it to you until you get it and someone else might have the same question. 100% recommend him.

I took Professor Foster's ACCT 1 class online. Instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. All assignments (including tests) are all done through Cengage. Workload is as much as it should be for a 5 unit class. The thing I liked most about this class is that he unblocked all assignments and was able to finish assignments quicker.

Do your part and youll get an A. I took him for accounting 1&2, got an A both semesters. Ya he doesnt let you use your phone in class or fall asleep but if thats a problem for you, dont attend college - seek counseling for your lack of control. Stop blaming foster when you dont pass the class, its an easy class if you study and do your part.

Professor Foster is no nonsense respectable professional teacher whose course is extremely organized and clear. He is a good lecturer who focuses on the most important concepts. His class requires you to study in order to pass. No room for procrastination.

Took Prof. Foster for ACCT 2 pre-COVID. He's strict on two rules- No phones in class, arrive on time. He's pretty laidback, but doesn't mean you should underestimate the class. He will provide an outline of assignment deadlines and test dates. One important thing, don't hold back on questions, ask away and he'll help you.

I took Professor Foster for Accounting 1 and 2. He's great, very organized, approachable, and will send out weekly reminders of what's due which I found very helpful. There were a couple extra credit chances, homework wasn't too heavy compared to other math classes and exams are based off of homework.

I took Professor Foster over a night Summer course. It was M-Thu and the class was intense. He does an excellent job of providing examples and answering questions but make sure to read the material yourself before class. It is obvious when you come to class unprepared and you will have a totally different experience with him if you are unprepared.

I got an A in Prof. Foster's Acc1 class. But, I messed up and took a different teacher for Acc2. The other teacher is bad! If you are smart, take Prof. Foster for both Acc1 and Acc2!
