This professor is really great. He takes the time to get to know his students from the moment they walk into the classroom. He is very specific in what is going to be on the tests. He's understanding and makes the class interesting..and somewhat easy. If you really try and study, you'll get a good grade!!

Professor Fournier is an amazing professor. I came into this class worried that it was going to be too hard but he makes it almost impossible to fail. If you just pay attention to the PowerPoints then you'll do fine. He makes the PowerPoints straight from the textbook but it's not really needed to pass. I got an A with my eyes closed.

I was hesitant on taking a Bio class since I am not the strongest science student. Professor Fournier is extremely helpful while also making the course a lot of fun. Pay attention and be interested in your surroundings and it's an easy A, but don't expect to do well if you're not willing to apply yourself

Professor Fournier is funny! He incorporates humor in lessons which help get his points across to students. Often, he uses them as examples to set up a case scenario relating to the topic learned about. If you're the type who get easily offended by jokes, avoid this class. Seriously though, this class is awesome!

Only complaint is so many students like him and take him again that they are disruptive. Fournier himself is so well informed and passionate about the topic that the class is great and applying yourself isn't difficult. Show up, be interested, and go over the powerpoints he posts and you will do great.

I always struggled with science classes, he made the class so easy and understanding and related everything with everyday life that I totally forgot it was a science class. For labs, we went on trips every Friday, so we are not stuck in a classroom for three hours. Even at the end when we did have to stay in the class for lab he made it so enjoyable with great movies and topics that the class still went fast. You have to take his class, real down to earth guy.

Prof Fournier is a great teacher as well as person. He doesn't give you loads of work, he just wants you to learn. You can tell he is passionate about his work and opens your eyes to things that will amaze you. I'm telling you if you listen in class, and take the practice test ("extra credit") he gives you, you will be totally fine. Overall, his knowledge of bio is amazing; TAKE HIS CLASS!

Great Professor. He's funny, and makes lecture fun and interesting. He also makes an effort to know each student in class, which is nice. Three exams and a final. Great test reviews and no homework. I would definitely take this Professor again!! Loved his class!!

Professor Fournier is a great professor. He is very smart and passionate about what he teaches and with his humor he makes class very interesting. Labs are 4 hours long which consists of mostly field trips and if not stay in class watching films. Only 3 tests which he will provide you with slide shows to study from. Very Easy. Take Him!

Personality my favorite Professor out of the 2 semester i have been going to Suffolk. Really understanding when it come to the Homework in most cases he will allow you to give it to him next class . His test for the most part are easy if you listen during the lectures. if you are unable to make a lectures he will put the power points up.

Most of the trips are fun and the class isnt really hard. Just show up and youll be okay. The professor is very lenient and knows how to joke with a class.

I truly believe this class should be mandatory for all students. I was not looking forward to taking a BIO class and waited till one of my last semester to take it. But I am so glad to to Ecology with Professor Robert Fournier. What we learned was extremely relevant and interesting. This class creates action within us to make positive change.

This class, human ecology sounded boring in the catalog but Professor Fournier made it interesting and exciting!!! Field trips are really fun and you will learn a lot of relevant information about the Earth/environment! He's very funny and really gets everyone in the class involved. Just study the slides, do the 3 or 4 homeworks he assigns, and don't miss any labs! I could've done wayyy better in this class, its an easy A don't slack like I did!!

he was cool and he let me say that a lake was cursed in class. He took my class on fun feild trips and i had a blast on them.

He's very funny but tends to talk a bit too fast when discussing the slides. If you miss a few slides, do not worry, he will keep them up. His tests are fair and the field trips are fun but it does involve driving to the location. Overall, a fun and informative class.

This by far the most interesting useful class I have ever taken. You actually learn how your choices effect the environment. This class is heavy on field trips. Need a car that will fit other students and a license. A lot of the places DO NOT have elevators and lots of stairs. Fire Island Light house. The best class you will ever take.

Prof. Fournier instilled in us just how important the topic of climate change is, and the ways that we can combat it, as he believes that we CAN make a difference. He was a delight to have as a professor, and I will definitely miss him and the class. I will forever cherish the memories that I have of BIO 103.

If you are interenting on taking science course, this class is great option. Professor talks about things you do in daily basis. He makes lectures fun and clear to understand. Labs are the majority outside (you will visit place such as sewage plant, the water authority, recycling facilities, etc).

Prof. Fournier is simply amazing, homework was reading the textbook chapter in prep for the lecture. His lectures are relatable, hilarious and informative - attend class and you'll retain lots. there were 3 Tests and 1 final exam and a Lab practical exam. Reviews were awesome and he posted review sheets on the school site. Just awesome.

This class was such an amazing experience, although the semester I have him we had quarntine. Before that we went on a ton of amazing field trips and movies that go with the lectures. He gives you everything you need so if you listen you should do amazing on exams.

Professor Fournier was hilarious and outgoing during lectures. Exams are a bit difficult but you can pass if you are paying attention and taking lots of notes. There are no study guides to prepare you so be ready to read the textbook and review lecture notes! Homework assignments are super easy and enjoyable.

Remote class this year , but professor Fournier was always ready to teach. You can tell he's very passionate with his career just by the way he talks about it. He doesn't stop talking so if you have a question ask him right there. He's also not very attentive with checking his email if it isn't urgent--I think, so ask your questions before class.

Professor Fournier was great! I had him for Marine Biology for an online course. He gave excellent lectures. He provides detailed information while also telling stories and joking. He is very personable. He gave minimal homework and no surprises on the tests.

The professor is very cool and always passionate about marine biology. Only thing I would say is that the tests are difficult. At times, I don't know what to expect on the test because there is no review sheet made. You have to review each chapter to study and maybe rewatch the lectures. The discussion boards and homeworks are very easy to do.

The field trips are memorable and contribute to the lesson; making it easier to understand and retain lessons. I've never had a boring/ difficult lesson; he really makes 8:00 am fun. Great Professor overall, made class exciting and I didn't mind getting up for 9:30 class. Only complaint is we didn't get the 15 minutes in between lecture and lab. That's the only chance for some of us to grab a bite, I hate eating early in the morning and I couldn't eat until 1 PM on lab days because of this. Other than that, no complaints.

Professor Fournier has been one of the best teachers I have ever had. He really makes the classes fun and easy to understand. In addition to learning about biology, he teaches lessons for everyday life.

He has to be the best bio teacher on campus. Honestly I didn't do will on the first exam because I just couldn't understand anything. But trust me just come to class and listen to the lectures. He tells you exactly what is gonna be on the test. After the first section everything after that is easy. And also do your lab reports as early as possible.

Lecture=amazing Lab=did not teach it. Honestly probably the best I have had in the last 3 semesters. Funny, caring, and clear on what he expects from you. This is not an easy class at all so get ready to study but it is not his fault if you fail this. The lab was more like "here is the lab do it" so it was really difficult to understand. Fish Crazy
