Not very good
DR. Fudge is way cool. He is very helpful and freindly to students. I would reccomend him to other students (Not to mention he is kind of dreamy)

I could HELP but rate this teacher HOT HOT HOT!!!!
Dr. Fudge is a cool guy. His class was very easy and interesting. All you have to do really is take good notes and study his test reveiw sheets. And yea... he's pretty good looking.
Excellent teacher with a genuine concern for students.
Dr. Fudge was my all time favorite professor this year. He was very helpful if you didn't get something and had humor about the class. If you don't consider being a Phil. major your should take his class just to have him. Great guy!
He's one of the best professors around, approachable, very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his students. Unfortunately the subject completely baffled me, but it's not his fault. I just didn't get it. This is not an easy alternative to Math 1010, at least for me. One suggestion: he needs to speak louder and slower as he tends to mumble.
GREAT TEACHER! ORGANIZED AND PERCISE.
Good teacher very helpful
Very helpful, encourages you to ask questions!
Lame Class Hard to attend class
He was very confusing to me. He is funny and answers questions, fun class. But my problem was that I still have no idea what philosophy is... Nice guy. It requires notes, gives a study sheet for every test and his tests are fair. Nice guy.
Took him for phil 1000 and he was good. He made the class get invovled and was passionate about the subject. 3 tests is what your grade is based on. Overall if you showup and take notes youll get an A, i did
Professor Fudge is really good. If someone doesn't understand he always has a different way of explaining it right off the top of his head. Approachable and encourages questions. Gives good study guides and has tests that were in my opinion pretty easy. I would certainly advocate taking a class from him. If it fit in my schedule I know I would.
Great teacher, always willing to help if you don't understand. This is a tough class but definitely worth it.
As always a big help; he is one of the better professors at WSU. He is willing to aid students in achieving success.
He is a very knowledgeable prof. He knows his stuff, and makes classes engaging. One of the better teachers at Weber. His class is tuff, but if you work hard you can pass. He only grades you off of 3 test/essays, so if you fail even one, you have an automatic C, this is what happened to me, but still a great prof., and teacher!
This is a hard hard class. He lost my last test, but was willing to help. You will work your butt off for a mediocre grade. I would recommend taking something else for humanities. The class had some interesting discussions but at times got way off. I would have a hard time repeating what I learned. Great guy, hard grading and class.
Dr. Fudge was the most helpful in discovering the philosophical history of the world. I will recommend his intro class to anyone...
Great Professor; you need to attend class and study for exams in order to get a good great.
Great professor. His tests are easy as long as you attend class often. Lectures are very interesting as well. Fudge is really nice and very, very smart.
This class was ok. The whole thing was lectures. You could easily get through the course without the textbooks. If you go to class and pay attention then you will do well. The only grades are 3 tests which are fairly easy. Sometimes the class gets really boring though.
Fudge is a really nice guy. Intro philosophy was super easy with him even though he is a great professor (there must be pressure to pass most students because his tests are easier than they should be). He explains the material thoroughly and gives you a study guide for each of the three tests. No homework. No final. No papers.
Intro to philosophy was very interesting I thought. Fudge is one of the best professors up at weber. highly recommend him. 3 test, one optional paper that replaces test if needed. just go to class take notes, study the study guide and you pass the class
Fudge is a great guy. Took intro to phil, and he knows his stuff inside and out. Also makes lectures entertaining if you have some basic ability to think. Three tests, very easy as he gives you a really clear study guide for each. Show up and listen and its an easy class that a lot of people should really find intriguing. One of Weber's best.
This class was really cool and Professor Fudge was awesome. Honestly I didn't put forth a lot of energy into this class as it was my only class in the summer, and I still got a B. His test are really fair and the text was very interesting. He was very helpful giving the outlines of the tests so you know what to prepare.
Charismatic guy, interesting course. However, he really doesn't teach in a way that leads to in-depth understanding of the material. Come exam day, even the best of students are wondering if they even know half of what they're supposed to. Very high failure rates on exams, and not because they're hard. Material just isn't taught well.
Attendence isn't mandatory but I would STRONGLY suggest going every class. Your grade is based off 3 test and 3 opportunities of extra credit. Dr. Fudge is a good professor, makes the concept understandable. Your notes are your best friend in this class.
This professor has an extremely Dismal pass rate for his classes. The tests are obscure you are not sure what is being asked or how to answer. I would not reccomend this class
The deductive logic class is hard, but he is an excellent teacher who is extremely clear and helpful both online and in class. I recommend him for any class he teaches, but you will need to work hard, deductive logic might replace math for a lot of us, but it is not going to be easier
For a lower-division class, PHIL 1000 is really tough. Prepare to study a ton and go to every class to get notes. Fudge is good; he offers lots of extra credit. I had a hard time understanding a lot of what he lectured about, but if you take notes on everything and actively participate in class, you'll do fine. Be prepared to work hard, though.
If you go to class then you will do fine. He is a very good teacher and his lectures are very interesting. He offers extra credit and is willing to show up at study groups outside of class to help you understand. I did well in this class with little effort just by going to class and taking notes. His tests are pretty straight forward.
His phil 1000 class is ridiculously hard. There wasn't a lot of discussion and even though i showed to every class and did all the work i still couldn't pass the tests. Also i found it very hard not to nod off in lectures, i noticed other kids around me starting to nod off a lot too.
Tests are straight from what you learn in class. He gives you list of terms you will need to know and even the question that will be asked in the test. 3 test 75% 1 paper 15% and easy friday quick 5min writings 10%. Only reason people complain is beacuse you do need to learn the terms to pass the tests, and are to lazy to put some work into school.
Great professor, great class. Extremely helpful and willing to do anything to ensure his students succeed.
This class is NOT an easy alternative to math. Some of the concepts are really tough. However, Fudge is very willing to help. He is active on the class discussion board and usually answers questions quickly. As long as you know what you're getting into, I'd recommend the class.
Fudge is willing to help. He is very smart and kept the class interesting. Pay attention and you will pass
If you like the subject you will like the class. Do the reading and he will repect you for it. If you do all the reading the papers will be easy. 2 exams and 3 papers. I thinks he like gammer more then most engish teachers.
I took his deductive logic class online. It was great. He provided narrated examples which made it easy to understand how to solve problems. His textbook choice was wonderful, and there were no surprises on the exams. Dr. Fudge is quick to respond to emails if you have questions and his advice is very helpful. I strongly recommend him!
He is a really nice teacher. Love the classed. Test are on the harder side but he has paper too so not all the grade is based on the test
Fudge is really hilarious and super helpful. He is super good at explaining things. If you go to class you will understand so much better! His class is at a higher level in difficulty but I loved talking about moral issues and it was a fun class. I had 2 exams(study hard) and 3 papers. Exams aren't the bulk of your grade. Papers are the huge chunk!
I love this guy! He is funny and really knows the stuff. You need to come to class and take good notes but he gives a legit study guide for the 3 exams. Great professor.
Took his online class, first ever. His outline was clear and easy to follow. Any technical problems with the system and he was quick to fix it or extend deadlines on projects/assignments. He's quick to answer questions & fair. Don't expect an easy A but do the work and you'll be graded fairly. I would take any class he offered again. Good Teacher!
Open Note/Open Book everything, including exams! Quizzes can be taken at home! This teacher is very helpful and DOES expect you to pay attention. Take notes, use them. If you get anything other than an A it's your own fault.
Dr. Fudge did an excellent job of transitioning us from one ethical theory to another and tying them together in meaningful ways. He is incredibly helpful and patient with students outside of class. He provides effective feedback for papers. Just FYI, papers make up the bulk of your grade in his upper division classes.
Super easy A. Just go to class and pay attention. He allows 2 pages front/back for the tests and gives you a study guide before hand of what will be on it. I literally got 100% on 2 of the tests. He explains everything very clearly and as long as you put SOME effort in to the class you had better get an A. I also liked how he was unbiased on issues
He was very straight forward. Great professor. He gets right to the point and adds videos to his lectures to understand the materials. Take great notes for the open book/note exams. Overall great professor and class.
professor fudge was great. his course was straight forward. I took it in a 6 week block and it only required about 4 hours of total work per week. 6 quizzes and two tests with open notes. the text book is small and easy to read.
Honestly, I just flat-out didn't understand the material. Dr. Fudge made a real effort to help me--gave me leeway I probably didn't deserve--so it's not his fault the class was such a mess for me. Still...I've always done well with Philosophy, so there's got to be something wrong here. Maybe it's the Online thing?
I had an interest in this class and lost it after taking it with him. He used his own textbook that he wrote and was super confusing. You NEVER could have the right answer, and you better find out how he likes the test questions answered, because that's how he grades. Hoping i at LEAST pass, but not a great teacher.
This was a VERY hard class. if you don't do the reading you will fail. He only grades your exams which are quite hard. though he is very nice and always willing to help and answer questions! make sure you show up to class well read and be ready to work with a group around you.
I really liked Professor Fudge, he really enjoys teaching his subject. I would defiantly recommend Professor Fudge for this coarse 100%. He also let everyone use his own textbook for the coarse online (for free!)
Fudge is a great professor and will help you get an "A" if you deserve it. Because the class is "critical thinking" it's not super easy, but it is well worth it.
I really struggled with this class. For starters, the subject is not my forte, and for an intro class it was a little too in depth. The textbook used was written by the professor, which was nice because we didn't have to pay for it, but just seemed a little odd. The tests were open note however no amount of notes seemed to be enough to help.
Fantastic class, he really loves the subject and it shows. If there is any question on material he is happy to help. Being in class is critical to understanding material. No homework really just a quiz or two a week that you can do from home. Test can be hard if you don't study but he allows notes and study guides are clear.
Took the online class. For an online class, he takes his time responding. I ended up missing the dead line to drop out of the class because his response was days later & never got to appeal this class on my transcripts because he never responded to my email I needed. I've heard great things about him, unfortunately I didn't get the same experience
Great Prof, sets up the course so you can succeed. You have to attend class, and pay attention and read the readings though. He's great, but if you're lazy you won't do the best. Great at explaining things! I'd recommend him.
Bob is awesome. He is an amazing professor, and he really makes class fun to go to as his lectures are so intriguing, if you love philosophy. Definitely recommend taking this class from him!
Dr. Fudge wrote his own book, but it's inexpensive. He teaches a flipped style where you read and do the lectures from home, and do the examples in class. He helps you make sense of everything while you are in class. He is a very intelligent professor. This class is very interesting and not very hard, lots of online quizzes and 3 tests. Take it!
This was a very fun class to take. He does give attendance points and you have an online quiz due basically every week. He wrote his own book for this class, and it is very affordable, about $30. As long as you put a little time in, and stay awake in his class you should be able to get a pretty easy A.
Fudge is very down to earth, level-headed, and understanding. His teaching style is communicative and easy to follow. He has written his own textbook to save students money, and the readings are short, understandable, and to the point. His tests allow you to bring in a page of notes, and he cares more about conceptual mastery than memorization.
Incredibly easy but incredibly dry class. Lots of vocabulary and then assigning different arguments to the various terms. It's not hard at all, but if you skip class he will dock your grade, so just be prepared to not miss any classes! It's nice that he wrote the book, so it's incredibly affordable and all profits go to Weber State.
I took this class online in a block and thought it was fairly difficult. However, he is extremely accessible and always reaching out to help out where he can. He lets you bring a page of notes, front and back into the tests, but about half of the questions you need to type and explain arguments in a sentence.
For starters, Professor Fudge wrote his own book and it isn't the most helpful, but don't tell him that. I took this class online and it was much harder than it should be. You are aloud to take in a full page of notes, front and back, into the exams but majority of the test questions don't have much to do with anything you can take notes on.
Super cool teacher, he allows you to take 2 full pages of notes into the test! If you pay attention in class you will easily pass.
Dr. Fudge is pretty cool, really passionate and knowledgeable. It is super helpful to take lots of notes to use for the exams. Essay questions are harddddd to get but overall I enjoyed the in class debates and lectures.
The class is impossible to fail, and difficult to get an A. The class has weekly quizzes, four exams, and one interview paper. The exams are based off the quizzes and reading. The exams are what makes it hard to get an A and the quizzes are what makes it impossible to fail.
Cannot recommend Fudge enough. Online class was well-organized and self-driven, allowing me to finish several weeks early. Good communication outside class. Also took 3650 from him and the lectures in that class were fantastic. Great about answering questions and engaging the class. Already planning on taking 3200 from him next semester.
Terrible professor that is using obviously recycled content from several years ago. Wrote his own book which is god awful. It doesn't even have a table of contents! Practice problems in the book have no answers because he requires you to post your answers on a discussion board to get feedback. Would not recommend to even my worst enemies.
Prof wrote the textbook and made the lecture videos, not a problem for me (quality was decent) but some people don't like that. Class is pretty easy overall, not a lot of work.
Wrote the class textbook, it is mediocre at best. Lots of info just thrown your way with no study guide. 3 exams and a bunch of quizes. Not a wonderful class.
Philosophy isnt usually a subject that Im interested in, but Professor Fudges lectures were interesting. They were short and to the point, which I appreciated. His grading criteria is clear. If you put in the time to study, you will do well. Quizzes are open book, exams are not, but you can take some notes in with you.
I took this course for a math accommodation to graduate And this was just as difficult for me to understand as a math class. He talked to me in a very condescending tone and made me feel stupid. I also suffered severe anxiety attacks after each exam.
Simple class. Really easy professor. He teaches you everything you need to know and allows notes on exams.
I personally don't learn from lectures, and that is all this class was about. Mr. Fudge is a nice man, but his teaching did not work for me. I have had three Philosophy teachers at Weber State, including Fudge. I did not learn much from him.
Professor Fudge is a great teacher and has clear expectations. He is fair with grading if he can see you are putting in a solid effort. This class was 4 exams and then weekly quizzes and discussion posts. Some of the material was hard to wrap my mind around but he lets you have notes on the exams which really helped me.
I loved Professor Fudge. His lectures were organized and easy to follow, the workload is light, the content is interesting, and he's an excellent teacher.
The tests were pretty much the only difficult thing in this class. It took a while to get used to how he tests, but overall a pretty easy class.
Dr. Fudge is knowledgable and straightforward with his class. He has some pretty hefty exams, but he allows 2 pages of notes front and back when you go take them. Quizzes are pretty easy if you read the book. The book can be kind of confusing and boring at times, but you can make it through it if you try.
He is a good professor! Very accommodating as long as you let him know about if you will be gone for tests or quizzes. During tests you get to take 2 pages of notes in which makes them pretty easy. Definitely read the textbook and you will do fine.
Professor Fudge was amazing. It was a half semester class fully online, but was incredibly manageable. A quiz per chapter from his textbook, which is only 5 to 15 pages eachc. Quizz questions come straight from the text are all open book. 3 exams with 2 pages of notes to use, and one paper at the end. Easy Class if you got a busy schedule.

This professor uses his own text book which makes zero sense. i can not understand a word that comes out of his mouth. Is super condescending and demeaning when student ask questions, even though the assignment is to ask questions about the chapter. Even with disabilities he won't adjust late work. most frustrating professor i have ever had.
He has his own textbook, the class is mainly reading the textbook, taking a quiz, then exams. His way of writing is difficult to understand and he is very condescending and he will respond to questions in a purposeful way to make sure you feel dumb for not understanding.
His textbook that he wrote explained the concepts well, and provided plenty of examples to help you practice. Dr. Fudge's lectures were informative and he took great lengths to ensure the whole class understood a topic. The quizzes we had to take almost daily were easy and helped cement those ideas. Same with the tests, where you could bring notes.
I couldn't proceed with this class. He uses his own "textbook" if you wanna call it that. It was hard to navigate and understand, it contradicts itself way too much to be teaching a class with. I dropped after the first few weeks. Take this class if you want a vague mathematical sentence structure that you'll be quizzed on and will never use.
Dr. Fudge gives good and interesting lectures, and you can tell he cares about the subject material. He's a really fair grader, and very willing to work with students.
