To this day one of the best teachers I've ever had. He really loves history and it shows in his teaching style. I took his class 3 years ago and now attend UBC and I have still yet to find a better prof than him.

I can't say enough good things about him. He reinforced my desire to be a history major. He has such genuine passion for history and its hard not to partake in this passion yourself. You'll never find another teacher like him.

Bob Fuhr is an ideal - American History teacher! Bob makes sure that he repeats himself all the time so that everyone can catch all of his words. Very clear and interesting, Bob is a mellow dramatic type of guy, but can give away unexpected hilarious remarks.Best part is that he lets the students...

Bob is a funny guy. He likes talking hockey, and his lectures are entertaining. His "suprise" quizes are easy cause he lets you know the class before that there will be one. He is a little bit of a tough marker on tests. But you will get your money's worth taking his class.

American History is a joke, but the way Bob teaches is worth it. He's very clear and helpful. I was sick during midterm week, but he gave me a chance to take it anyway. His quizzes and essay questions are really easy, just prep yourself a couple of days ahead and you can easily ace this class. P.S. He's a die-hard Canucks fan!!!

Bob is one of the best Hist profs I've had in university. His knowledge of US History is amazing. He's very helpful and insightful. Make use of office hours and get to class early to get started on his board notes, they come in handy. Snappy dresser too, he's got more pairs of shoes than I do. For a bald history guy hes not that bad looking either.

Bob is a great prof. He's funny and has interesting lectures. Key's to succes: 1. Take good lecture notes 2. Suppliment notes by reading text 3. Read the short stories. There you go. Have fun.

I've taken 1145 and 1146 with Bob, and I can honestly say he's quite well versed in the realm of US history. Super nice guy, finds ways to bond with his students. Keep up with the readings, as with any history course.

Interesting guy. He is nice and clear, but he treats his class like a high school class room. He doesn't like people to leave the class at all when he is talking and he gets mad if you are late or go over the break time by one minute. He does pick his favorites so make a good impression. Make sure you study hard for his midterm and final.

Good teacher. Sometimes the material is a bit dry, but he keeps things pretty entertaining. He is fairly clear in his lectures, but he is a pretty tough marker.

Excellent prof. Has a genuine love for his work. Lectures can be dry, but humorous moments keep you awake. Very friendly and helpful. Not too hard as a marker but not easy. Reading is intensive, but he picks good texts. You get what you put in. Show up, read the text and brush up on your writing skills, because its essay intensive. So Hot!

Really nice guy but brutally hard marker when it comes to essays. He's like a walking encyclopedia of American History knowledge. Lectures are entertaining, gives 'surprise' quizzes where he'll give you the question in advance. He'll also give you a copy of the questions for the final so you're not going in blind.

Bob Fuhr is the nicest guy in the world! He is a great teacher and is super helpful. He isn't the easiest marker but he is pretty fair and gives you good criticism. His quizzes are pretty easy. I would definitely recommend taking a class with him!

Best prof I have ever had! He's real, he's helpful and insightful. Good class conversation and goes over everything clearly! His quizzes require you to read but are easy. His midterm/term paper/final are all marked a little tougher but his aim is to help you learn. His feedback is awesome. Always happy and very personable!

Great American History Prof. Very knowledgeable, often goes on intresting minature tyrades if he likes the subject matter. Knows lots of Quirky facts about Presidents and important info. Essay's are dfficult but managable. Test's are Document analysis and essay's. If you like History Bob's class is a must.

I've taken Mr. Fuhr for 4 classes now. Bob is a great teacher! His subjects may dip into the "dry" territory, but his personality and fun facts will keep you listening. He marks a bit hard, but that's because he truly wants you to learn. I know I have improved as a student because of him. I would recommend him to anyone.

I took 3 classes with Bob, and what can I say? He is a beauty!... but he is a difficult marker and his lectures can be dry sometimes... regardless you do learn a lot in his class and he is a great guy... defiantly suggest taking a class with him! If you like hockey you will love him

Fuhr is an amazing prof. The nicest guy you will ever meet. He manages to make american history interesting and his getting a good grade is not hard as long as you show up to class and do your readings.

He's an amazing prof! I learned a lot about American history. He has 5 quizzes, an essay, a midterm, and a final exam. He tells you what will be on the exams so you have time to prepare. If you do your readings and attend each class, it shouldn't be hard to achieve an A. He is a fair marker and gives a lot of feedback. Very helpful and kind.

Super Awesome Prof. Would take him again and again! Really interesting stuff, is a Canucks fan always meeting players and shows us pictures. Two exams and an Essay. With easy multiple choice quizzes throughout the year super easy marker as well.

here's the deal with bob: he's an extremely nice guy with a very straight forward course lay out. always tells you what you'll be tested on. quiz or 2, plus paper + mid term + final. HOWEVER, he's been teaching his history courses the same way for decades. If you ask him an in depth question about a topic his response is "i'm not quite sure".

Bob is a great teacher and even better person. He's nice, understanding, a little dorky, and very endearing. With history, there are moments of dull material, but he tries to add little anecdotes to keep things interesting. The material can be a lot to memorize, but he is reasonable and tells you specifically what to focus on to prepare for tests.

Bob is a decent prof. Got a B+, but had to put in the effort. One midterm, one final, one 7 page paper, and 6 quizzes where he takes your best 5 scores. Not an easy marker by any means, but if you put in the work, you should do well.

I've taken 3 courses w Bob and I will probably take a 4th. Nice guy, easy to get along with and respected by his students. He's a big hockey fan & a bit nerdy but who isn't? Many testsquizzes but he makes them fair. He knows what it means to be a university student and is understanding towards his students.

I've taken 2 courses with Bob and would take more. Class consists of 6 multiple choice quizzes based on assigned readings (takes your best 5 marks), midterm, essay, and final. For midtermfinal he gives you a list of documentsessays to prepare for & then puts a certain # of them on the test. Not an easy marker, but is fair. Funnynice guy.

Bob is a great prof because he puts in effort towards making otherwise dry lectures more fun for the students. He gives test questions in advance, so it's easy to prepare (though, he is a hard marker) and gives basically the whole semester to do the one paper in the class. He's also just a really nice guy and makes the whole class more enjoyable.

Great teacher, explains things so thoroughly that going to lectures is totally worth it. Tough marker but at least you know you worked hard for that good grade.

Bob is nice and friendly, always says hi to you outside of class. He lectures for most of class which I prefer, not dry though, makes it interesting. Occasional easy multiple choice quizzes. Easy short presentation, which if you forget or aren't able to do it, he'll reschedule it for you. Not too much reading. Not a hard marker but not easy either.

Dr. Fuhr is a decent professor. Criteria was coherent and he put in the effort to make his lectures interesting. Easy exams (both midterm and final) and only one paper. Participation is important too. He's super chill and easy to talk to. I'd definitely recommend him.

Prof. Fuhr is a fantastic History Prof. He has a passion for hockey and likes to talk a lot about meeting up with players and seeing games, usually at the start of the lecture. The course material itself is very interesting (if you're into Canadian History) and the book is worth a read, but is expensive. Take his class!

Bob is a great prof, as long as you do the work! I took HIST1113 as a condenced course, so it was fairly fast paced but there were not many assignments. 3 quizes and 2 essays (based on provided texts, zero costs for textbooks) plus the final exam (which he gave us weeks before, so we could prepare). Tough marker, and details matter a lot!

Bob is the best prof in the history department. His lectures are very important and require you to take notes as many of his exam questions are predicated around the lecture notes and assigned readings. Bob is also a fair grader and is quick to respond via email, I highly advise people to take any of his classes!
