The BEST professor I've ever had!! He has a review game before each test which is more thne 75% of the test just study that and you have an "A". He gives you the days for quizes and attendance checks (which are only like 1/16 of your grade) you can fail a couple and still get an A. He is awesome and very nice there is no way you can fail!

Robert Gallerger is an amazing professor! He is very passionate and is very knowledgeable on the subject being taught. He has real world experience in his field, so the guy knows what hes talking about. His class is not easy, but its not difficult either. If you show up, take notes, and put a little effort in the class you will pass.

He's a great professor. Grades only 10 attendences. There are 10 easy non-pop quizzes (if you study), 3 tests (including final), one big, but very fun group project, And he offers some extra credit. He is very clear and smart. He's no where near borring. He engages his students in his lectures. If you study, you will get an A or B. Not a hard class

He tells you from the start that attendance is part of your grade (10 points). Quizzes are based of the book, and his tests are based of the lectures, but don't be scared if you're not good at testing; he allows you to turn in extra credit essays of your choice to help boost your grade. TAKE HS CLASS! I'll be taking him again for SGY2010.

I took Prof. G for the summer session and he was awesome!! His lectures are amazing and you actually learn a lot, 5 discussion posts, and 3 online tests which were super easy because the questions were from the lecture notes. Hes such an amazing professor, there is no way you cannot like him hes amazing. You can tell that he loves his job. His class is really easy I rarely studied and passed. His syllabus is exactly like the class. And you learn so much there is no way that you can fail.

Follows his syllabus to the T. He assigns a lot of reading, and randomly calls people to present the chapter. This is the bulk of your grade! A lot of lectures too. Lots of chances at extra credit for the tests. There was a 1 hour mandatory work study assignment. He's a really funny guy. Some of his vocabulary concerning trans-people is outdated.

Hes a great teacher and the class is pretty easy. The only thing I have to say is that at the end of the class you have to turn in a two page research paper. When he says to cite every sentence he literally means to cite EVERY SINGLE sentence. He will take off points for any sentence that isnt cited

I had him for dual enrollment Social Problems class. Despite his class being incredibly easy, he has been one of the only teachers who truly educated students in both academic and real life manner. Studying and reading through his powerpoints will get you so far, and paired with his lectures, there is no way you can fail.

His class was profooundly interesting! You will NOT be bored. Attendance is crucial since he does grade you on it but you don't want to miss it anyway since the topics he covers are compelling. He only gives a few extra credits which require writing about specific topics (not difficult) so take advantage. He responds to his emails very quickly too!

What a wonderful teacher! I am a Human Services major a new course at Broward College. We had group discussions so attendance is mandatory , homework but no test. His lectures are fun for case management. Our desks are together so it is more personal. With Covid-19, I think this will be a good major for caring individuals. Take Him!!

He is such a great professor extremely approachable this is a Human Services,Crisis Intervention course. We had class discussion with real case scenarios that is played out in class and the students voice their opinions on how they would solve a situation. It is not your normal lectures, it is more personal. You will learn alot while having fun.

If you like helping people, Dr. Gallagher will help you get there. This is counseling skills vlass, where you are given many scenarios and the student gives their opinion. You learn a lot and having fun. The only downfall, I wish we had more time for lectures. Take him, he is amazing and extremely nice.

This class helps you understand how to help counsel people 2ho are going through difficulties. Dr. Gallagher has many scenarios and we role play very educational and he is the GREATEST teacher ever!

(I took him in Spring 2018) but I know he is the same way, my sister has him this semester. When I took him in school, his exams were 100 questions, but if you payed attention in the jeopardy game (EC) they were the exact same questions on the test. I think we had a paper on a news paper due every week but it was so easy. TAKE HIM!!

He inspires me to learn and I've left his courses being so much more knowledgable on the topics of Social Problems and Sexual Education. The least stressful class I've ever had, this guy makes every class upbeat. Getting extra credit for participating made the tests easy (open note also). Discussion posts and Final paper had a ton of citations but he always gave plenty of time and feedback to fix mistakes before grading. You have to put in effort to NOT pass this class.

Sign on and register for every class you can with Dr. G! He relies heavily on your participation but you will WANT TO PARTICIPATE! My father passed away halfway through the semester and I was able to still pass with an A because of how well he presents his coursework. Very little hw. He wants to hear your opinions and how you came to them.

Dr. G makes this course. He is funny, realistic and presents real-life scenarios. Everything you learn in his classes will prepare you for life. Show up, keep an open mind and be real. With every valid statement or question in class you receive +5 xtra crdt. 100 question tests for soc but he goes over everything before hand. None for HUS. He's authentic, raw, passionate, believes in his students, &amp; a complete open book!

I always enjoy being in his class. Time flies and I almost always say to myself that I need the class to have an additional 30 min due to the simple fact that all of his lectures are very much knowledgeable.

This is a great professor that you can learn from. I always get something out of each class because he teaches about real cases and how to handle each case to prepare you for your career. VERY caring professor, it's to the point I've gotten a job interview through his recommendation and it helps with your major. The lectures are fun, and each time you participate you get 5 extra credit points. My tests would go from an 80 to a 100 just because of the points, and test reviews are great. I HIGHLY recommend taking him.

I have taken Dr. G for four different classes. He is an amazing professor, and really listens to his students. He wants success for everyone. The final is a reflection of the class and takes about three minutes max. Participate for extra credit, but honestly you learn so many cool things if you do! Would take him 100x again!

Professor Gallagher is an amazing professor. Class discussion are incredible and we have amazing debates. Attendance is mandatory and in class assignment. In the fall, Professor Gallagher was a fantastic instructor for me. I took Hus2445, which was a great class . Only a paper and a presentation were required of us, but discussions and in class assignments were part of class. Professor Gallagher is great, all the classes I've taken with him I learn so much. He is down to Earth and gives good feedback and learn life situation.

He's a great professor, his lectures are actually enjoyable. His assignments consists of 3 exams, 1 essay, and in-class discussions which were all super easy and attendance was mandatory. He also gave extra credit to students who talked or made comments during his lecture. Don't hesitate to take him, you won't regret it.

All I have to say about this professor is that I would 100% recommend any of his courses to anyone. Attendance is mandatory, if you pay attention during the lectures, exams are easy and when doing the paper make sure to cite every sentence. Great professor.

I think that Professor G is amazing. Currently enrolled in sociology and have taken his crisis intervention class. His lectures are interactive and I've never been afraid to ask questions. Tests are easy and open book, no tests in my crisis intervention class. Barely any assignments and if assigned they won't be long.

I really enjoyed this course. We did a lot of in class assignments. He made it very easy to feel involved even though I only attended through zoom.

I was out for two weeks due to something personal and had to go through zoom but he worked very well with me and understood what happened.

He's not big on tests and quizzes which is a huge plus. I loved his classes (I took # this semester) im taking 2 classes with him next semester.

I really liked this teacher. I had him for sociology and I retook him for human services he is very animated and is very helpful. He does not accept late work unless there is something that affects the entire class(i.e. the school being closed or the assignment not working) very basic requirements for paper. It's very easy to get an A in the class.

Grade in the class is determined by attendance, the group discussions, one weekly assignment, and the midterm and final. Grading: If you submit on time and follow the directions you'll get a good grade. Love group discussions; the professor gives the response you weren't expecting and will need to brainstorm a new response for a solution.

WDr. G is a true old school educator. He is going to talk to you and you need to talk back. He is very detailed and well knowledgeable of the course materials. He does role play so that you can get a true feel of case management and the Human Services field. Without a doubt I would definitely recommend you take his class.

Professor Gallagher is a really good teacher! He has worked around the social work field for many years, so he knows his stuff. Even though attendance is mandatory, you don't notice how fast time passes because of how much class discussions we do every class. Definitely recommend if you are interested in taking Sociology.

Attendance matters!! Participation also matters for this class if you want extra credit points. There are 3 tests and my suggestion is to make a study guide from the test review and use it on the test, it helps a lot (even though its open book). There's one paper and that can be a little challenging due to his grading scale; a pretty decent class.

Just make sure you go to class and you'll be fine! Attendance is mandatory b/c his lectures are very detailed. He gives extra credit for pretty much every question you ask. You can tell he cares about his field of study and the students. He explains what will be on the test and allows open notes. This class full of fun social discussions. 10/10!!!

Amazing professor. Gave little homework every week, and did not make the class seem like a bother. A nice grader too, and gives feedback fast. Definitely recommend to people who take SYG200. Some downsides are that this class is purely independent, so it has a lot of freedom.

Dr Gallagher has been amazing throughout this entire class. After the first lecture i was excited to attend the class and tended to look forward to it. The grading system is easy to understand and he is compassionate if things are happening in your real life.

I like the professor teaching style, is not all based on a book. It's experience based statistics as well as your own experience with said topic. This course teaches the basics of mental health the impact it has.This topics and more were delivered clearly, through role play examples videos and input.

I don't usually do reviews on RMP but Professor Gallagher deserves one. His work is very easy but with life important questions. He makes you think outside of the box while also helping you understand the material. He is very interactive and allows you to participate and gives extra credit for it! Definitely would take his class again.
