He is great and gives you examples that you can understand. I got an A in his class and a D in Lect. The A saved my a** and let me get a C for the course. Take Johansen for Lect. and him for lab.

This man is in his element when he is on field trips. TAKE HIS NATURAL HISTORY CLASS, it's a 3 day camping trip and a lot of fun. I take these classes even though the credits I earn don't help for my major. The ultimate in have fun while learning!

He knows his stuff and is very cool. Explained everything very well and made it fun to be there. as long as you study for the quizzes and tests and go to class you should do fine. I recommend going to the computer labs and doing the tutorials.

Great Teacher. Makes lectures interesting and memorable by relating the material to real life situations by telling hilarious stories. Tests are directly from his lectures.

His tests are very intimidating, but in the end if you do the homework it is a pretty easy class. His lectures are always interesting and they stay with the book. The homework questions are always discussed in class. The questions on his powerpoint lecture that he emphasizes are the essay questions for the upcoming exam.

Bio is difficult, but I think that Goodman is one of the easier teachers for the subject. He is very straight forward on what he wants you to understand, and very helpful if you have ?'s or don't understand something. He is also pretty funny. I actually looked forward to his class every week.

Took Bobby for both Enviromental Sience and Forest Ecology....Great classes due to his passion for what he is teaching...I have no intrest in furthering a career in these fields but did ok in both. Dont miss class due to his lecutre notes are good but he will expand on them in class. Book helped in Env but not For.

TAKE THIS TEACHER for Environmental Science. I took this class instead of Biology. and I glad I did. He tells jokes, he is animated, smiles, and he explains everything in a lot of detail. I enjoyed his way of teaching so much, it did not feel like a science class.

I took several of his forestry classes, i think he is a great professor. He is always happy to share info, and has lots of neat pictures. He likes to go on field trips too. If you want to get on his bad side, bring a bullfrog to class. He hates them. Other than that, i entirely recommend him to anyone who likes forestry and/or biology.

taken 5 Nat Hist classes which includes a 3 day field trip and 3 Forestry classes and plan on finishing the forestry program as well as the rest of the nat hist classes. Tests can be hard but the class is worth the effort. Forestry classes all involve field trips. He definatly has a passion for what he is teaching and makes the classes interesting

Genuinely believes in students learning and getting something from the class. Uses multiple test methods to asess student abilities. Difficult tests, but gives opportunities for extra credit. Enjoyed the films. An excellent biological science substitute to biology 104 if you arent scientifically inclined, if you can get past subject politics.

This was my first introduction to environmental issues on an in depth level. It was VERY interesting. Attendance and homework are necessary here. He does give extra credit. He is the best science teacher I have ever had. Well worth the effort.

This class made me a plant nerd. You have to apply what you learn when you collect plants on your own. This class is unique. Never had anything like it. The trip to the desert was great, too! Bobby wants you to do well and is very generous with his time. He knows his plants and you will too.

Here's a class that seems so simple - it's about camping! With the field trip and group project it was a class where I learned a lot more than I ever thought I would. Learn your laws!! You have to study just like you would for any oter class, and you'll do well.

I took his class online, it is difficult. However, he is very friendly, helpful and fair. He gives plenty of time for assignments/tests, gives extra credit projects, and grades on a curve. If you are lazy or don't want to read the book this isn't the class for you! As a non-bio major I enjoyed the class and learned a lot.

Not a dull moment in his class and he is extremely knowledgeable. However, if you have a legitimate disagreement with one of the answers on his quizzes, he does not consider your reasoning. Terrific professor. Taking his Wildlife Management and Forestry program was one of the best choices I have ever made. The information is interesting, the field Trips rock, the atmosphere is enlightening, and the professor is sincere about education. All in all I highly recommend taking any course by Bobby.

Just took this online in the Summer and it wasn't nearly as hard as everyone says. Science is my worst subject and I still got an A. Schedule was well-paced, so the 6 week workload didn't seem such a stressful burden (work on one chapter every weekday and you'll get weekends off). It's essential that you read the chapters to do well on the tests.

Not as hard as everyone says, as long as you are consistent in reading the book and knowing it inside and out. Great and helpful teacher. Odd sense of humor, but a good person. Easy grader for homework and in-test essays, but the multiple choice questions were tough. Sometime the test questions were a bit ambiguous, but read and u'll do well.

Good professor, but goes off topic into liberal politics way too much. VERY to the left and believes in evolution, but as this is a secular school go figure. But I respect his faith that nothing created everything, and he is a good man when all is said and done, very helpful and cares about his students. Would recommend his classes.

First time taking an online course and more difficult than expected. Partially because of accelerated schedule, but teacher was very clear in his expectations and more than helpful. Bobby is a legit professor. Lectures are on point, good sense of humor, it is evident he is passionate about what he teaches. H.w is broken up into three sections 1-5,6-11,12-16, three exams, and a final. There are opportunities for extra credit as well. Would highly recommend him to anyone interested in environmental studies.

This has probably been my hardest online class I've taken. There are 65-75 questions for the hw and there are 3 hw assignments, 3 exams, & a final. Do the hw to help your grade because the exams are hard. Read the book. The professor seems nice though. Make sure you have lots of time for this class.

Mr. Goodman is funny and great at what he does. Yeah, his test may seem hard and if Biology or Environmental Science isn't your favorite subject, you may have to work extra hard because he likes to continue on with the chapters even if it's not going to be on the up coming test. But overall, he's always open to answering questions and a great guy!

Great lab professor. He will help you with ideas and tricks to memorize the vocabularies. He helps with dissecting your cat. It's an anatomy class so 90% of the work is on you to memorize and study hard. Take advantage of extra points or credit to help you keep up. I got an overall 102% in lab so it's possible BUT you MUST study.

One of the greatest professors I have ever had @ Citrus College. I have completed my Forestry certificate & have taken all their classes, each class was awesome. Funny Teacher, however do expect to show up, pay attention & do the work! This isn't a class to slouch around in. He's a tough grader, however gives good feedback & helps you do better.

Prof. Goodman is a great prof, I took his online class and he was always an email away. For online classes do expect to go on campus and expect the tests to be difficult. The final is much better as it has questions from previous tests. Read the text book, memorize the slides and repeat. He offers Extra Credit volunteering at different locations.

He's a really funny guy. You can tell he loves the material, I enjoyed coming to his lectures. The homework is rather easy to do. His tests can be hard so make sure to study. To get an A in his class you need to get an 88%.

I took Bio 105 in the 6-week summer course. It's a heck of a lot of material to memorize for each exam, but that's really the only downside to the class. Professor Goodman, or Bobby, is hilarious and cares about students. I respect him for his desire to prepare students to think critically out in the world, regardless of beliefs. I 100% recommend.

His humor makes class fly by. Graded heavily by tests and a final exam that accumulates much of the grade. Does offer some extra credit by awarding attendance. Good choice for any Biology class, if he sees any confused faces he will go back and repeat.

Goodman was the very first professor I had after graduating high school. His lectures were entertaining and easy to understand. Homework is straight out of the lectures. If you study your lectures and pay attention in his class you'll get an A. Would definitely take his class again.

Goodman has been a great professor. His Bio 145 class consists of lectures, quizzes, and Exams. Homework is due a day before each exam. Syllabus is well organized so you will know due dates and exam dates ahead of time. My only complaint is that his exams are pretty intense/hard, it would be helpful if he provided a more specific study guide.

Professor Goodman is so amazing, he almost made me reconsider my major. I am someone who likes a routine--and this class delivered. Lectures, quizzes and tests with the occasional videobest class ever. The homework prepares you for the test and honestly isn't that hard to complete even if you leave it to the last minute (hey quizlet).

Bobby is a great professor!! Bio 104 is bio 105 without the lab. it was pretty difficult because there was a lot of info but he makes it enjoyable. I am not interested in bio at all but as long as you study the notes and do the homework you will do well!

This is an extremely difficult class, I am taking it over the summer. Goodman makes interesting slides and has tories to go with them BUT he speaks quickly and doesnt clearly explain things to a NON Bio student. He has very high expectations making it hard for those who have no previous knowledge of Bio even though this is an introduction class

His tests are probably the most difficult ones Ive ever taken, but if you read the textbook when he assigns the sections, do the homework, and study, youll be good. Study hard & you'll pass but he is difficult for students who are coming in for their 1st Bio class, so focus! Theres 3 hw assignments. 3 exams and a final. All the homework and exam answers are online its so easy to pass. I took the class the first 8 weeks of spring and i got an A

Bobby's great, into his subject, makes you really care about what he's teaching is and respectful and funny, however there are only 3 test and they're super hard, would recommend this class if you try in school definitely not easy but do-able

His tests are so hard and effect my grades a lot. It is hard to get A if you dont study hard. But at least I did enjoy his lecture and he is so funny. Homework was acceptable, not too much. Just need to turn in the class before the exam, it is about 50 questions per exam

Bobby is an amazing teacher that is truly passionate about his subject. Any student will be lucky to be in one of his classes his humor really makes the class doable.

Bobby is the one that reignited my love for animals: reptiles. He replaces your lowest test score with half of your final exam score. Each test is worth 75 points, the final 150. So, if you got a 50 on a test and scored 130 on your final, that 50 becomes a 65. A lot better, right? But you can only miss one day max. I loved his lectures as well!

Took this class Spring 2019 and was the first biology class I had taken since high school years ago. Prof Goodman was awesome. He is very passionate about what he does, cares about your success and wants you to pass. The only thing is you have to earn your grade. There is no way to "wing it" in his class. If you focus and study, you will do fine.

Bobby makes lectures VERY interesting and entertaining. The course material itself isnt challenging, and as long as you read the book and study its arguably impossible not to pass. Makes the course interesting. Fairly strict of attendance, and his homework is literally free points. Great class.

He is amazing! He's super funny and makes the material interesting. He cares about his students and gives you all the info you need. Everything on the tests is exactly what's on the homework and study guides. He even goes over the study guide the day before the test. Always puts grades in right away which I appreciate. I'd take this class again.

Bobby is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Hes very straightforward and will tell you everything you need to know. He really cares about his students and his lectures will keep you very engaged, ultimately leading to an incredible learning experience. Hes the main reason why I ended up changing my major and I will be forever grateful!

I didn't have the pleasure of going to his lectures due to COVID, but my Zoom experience with him was great. He's very passionate about teaching and the environment. he cares a lot about his students. But his tests are absolutely no joke. Seriously. You will need to study hard, but you will learn a lot. Def recommend!

Professor Goodman is an outstanding instructor! Though it must be noted, he expects allot out of his students and you will have to work hard if you want to get a good grade. If you do the homework, and know the power points like the back of your hand, you will do well. Goodman does round grades up if you have perfect attendance and take the exams.

Man Prof. Goodman is very entertaining during his lectures. I was struggling heavy in his class but he continued to motivated me and also all the students that were struggling to pass. YOU must take notes. He also mentioned beforehand on the exams which CH's to study the most. Very helpful and cool Prof.

Bobby is an awesome teacher who is incredibly inspirational. I loved his class during Winter 2019 but it was no walk in the park. I really had to work for an A considering I'm not gifted in STEM (lol) but it was a great experience! Feasible during the intercession with work, I wouldn't recommend you take it with another class if it's in an inter.

Incredible educator! He makes biology (104) understandable and interesting for those who struggle. He responds very quick to emails and his explanations tie everything together if you're struggling on a concept. Study the homework, study guides, and back up the lecture notes with the book and you will do great. He really wants everyone to succeed!

Very understanding and nice. Some material you have to look up yourself or you could ask him on your own. The homework is what is on the test but knowing specifics for the test is best. If you feel good about knowing bio & /or retain information quickly go ahead for a short sem. if not do a 16 week sem.

I have had Bobby for Bio 105 Bio 200L. I can say if it is your first bio class, it may seem very daunting. He prepares you for the more voluminous classes down the road. The HW+quizzes aren't too difficult and are designed to help pad your grade and give clear prep and expectations for the exams. Would take any class he teaches! Amazing professor!

Professor Goodman's classes made this pandemic a lot more tolerable. His lectures were interesting and his classes were fun to participate in, and I looked forward to them every week. His classes are challenging, but if you do the work, you will learn the material. He is very encouraging and he is available outside of class for help and advice.

Professor Goodman (aka Bobby) is super cool! He really tries to make bio to be as understanding as possible because not everyone likes bio and hes honestly super funny! Hes ALWAYS accessible Through email, and he emails you quickly than youll expectand thats so helpful at the time like this when we have to be in zoom.

Looking at plants was a passive experience for me but Bobby quickly turned it into a deep appreciation and skill that I will absolutely continue to practice. He is a deeply passionate outdoorsman and his love shows through his teaching. Not a hard class but you need to be familiar with the material to pass. Wonderful part of the Forestry program!

Zoom lectures are important, relevant test info may not always be stated in the review packet, but is stated in lecture. The homework is easy to complete if you work on it with the lectures. The review sheets are a great wat to prepare for tests. However, "critical thinking" makes some of the test questions hard, regardless of your preparation.

If students are taking Biology I would recommend them to take his class. Im taking his class again in the fall. He makes his lectures fun and tells funny stories and examples about biology. He makes class very fun and fun to go to!

So excited to be entering the forestry program with Professor Bobby! He managed to make our lectures educational and entertaining at the same time despite being online. Although the homework packets are quite long, he gives us a sufficient amount of time to study and complete it.

He's the best. I took a full semester in-person class and it was my hardest class but the one I liked the most. The class is super interesting and he makes the material easier to understand. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would recommend going to class. He makes it a good environment and it's easier to understand the material.

My favorite professor at Citrus. He made learning through zoom fun and I loved listening to his lectures. The homework is a lot but he also gives you so much time to complete it. I really appreciated him and am grateful I got to take him. He also took a lot of time to know his students.

Professor Goodman is an amazing professor. I will be taking his classes again. If you need help please don't hesitate. He answer his emails right away. He makes funny jokes and makes his classes very fun. I got an A. Just do the work and turn in your assignements on time and study very hard. He is not a tough grader. He also undertands.

I've taken several classes with Bobby (Wildlands and Forestry Resources courses and Natural History). Hands down, best professor I've ever had. Extremely knowledgeable, easy to get along with, absolutely hilarious, fair grader. The more you're willing to put into your own education, the more he will as well. I highly recommend taking his classes!!!

This is probably Bobby's hardest class next to FOR 103 (Plant ID) as it combines most of the topics from all his other classes into one. If you've taken other classes with him, you'll know that 85% in the class is an A. Do the HW, it only helps you even if it's busy work. Show up to class, ask questions, and you'll pass easily.

He is a good grader.

I've taken all of Bobby's classes as i'm part of the forestry program. He's an amazing professor, his lectures are straight to the point and you'll pass if you read them and pay attention. He's funny and cool and his field trips are very enjoyable. Cannot recommend him enough.

he always made the lectures entertaining and interactive which made the time go by really fast. he had went through everything that was on each exam and the notes he provides are super simple and easy to read.

Bobby is an amazing professor and is a must take. Lectures are easy to keep up with and exams are all covered in his lectures & study guides. Class is very easy as long as you retain most of what is in his lecture slides. Do not need to buy a textbook & slides covered in class are in his canvas. Also a fun personality which makes class engaging.

Prof Goodman or "Bobby" gives densely packed lectures, 4 total exams over the semester, and 3 homework assignments. He is always available to answer emails and is there for the students. I recommend Bobby to anyone who is in the science department at Citrus, just because of how awesome he really is

Bobby is hands down the best professor here at Citrus. He truly cares a lot about his students and wants them to succeed, but if you take his classes you have to put in the work. All of his forestry classes are amazing, but for me Plant ID was the most rewarding. I would highly recommend taking his Natural History classes as well.

To me this class was impossible to fail, the study guide was the only thing I really studied to pass every quiz, homework is easy he goes over everything before the exams, pay attention to lecture and just do what the syllabus says. Textbook was not necessary. This class set me up well for the next sciences I needed to take

Professor Goodman makes this class a breeze. Engaging lectures, helpful study guides, and a fair grading system. Unstuck ai was a game-changer for my prep - highly recommend using it alongside the free textbook. An easy A if you stay on top of things.

You HAVE to study A LOT in order to get a decent grade. If you want an easy bio class do not take him. Great guy, very knowledgeable but omg there is so much to remember/learn. Lecture heavy, gives study guide formats before exams. He's funny, class isn't boring, you can tell he loves his job and he cares. This was a hard class, but did learn a lot

I really like this professor, however, I kept failing one of the tests!!! The homework he provides us are okay.

Funny guy, very knowledgeable and lectures were never boring. Wants you to learn and pass his class but it's not a class you can just breeze through. Exams are more detailed than the study guides, need to research more in depth. Homework is ok, just 4 assignments. Responds quick to emails. Love the earth? Good retention? Animals? Take this class.

I took the 8 week class so doing a lot of hw is a given. He also gives 3 test & a final. You actually have to do the reading but it is doable. Moreover, his A's begin at 86% given it's a tough class. However, he will drop your lowest test score and replace it with half of final if you get 140/200 on the final. And so, do the work & you'll be ok.

He is an awesome teacher, make sure to read the lecture, and the book. He has study guide for the test. Overall make sure to have time to study, and he is considered whatever happens in your end, just make sure to take to him.

I genuinely really loved this class however it is not easy at all. You will have to study a lot! He lectures fast so I would take notes ahead of time and add on to them while he lectures. Make sure to ask questions he's super easy to approach. He's passionate about climate change and science and you can tell he really loves his work!

The class relies heavily on its lectures, but that does allow the professor to go very in depth with his topics. As long as you take good notes, and do all the required homework, which is very little, all the answers are on the power point, then you'll do good. Also look at the study guide for the exams, it helps a lot.

I took Bobby after seeing his great reviews, although I feel some are fake. He had decent lectures but his homework and study guide were basically useless. In order to score good on his test you cannot go based on the study guide as it is nothing similar to the actual test, you have to end up self teaching yourself in order to succeed.

Professor Goodman is amazing! He has clear expectations and explains grading criteria. Provides study guides and a day before exam to review. Homework packets can be lengthy, but everything covered in homework will show up on exams! Lectures can be long, especially in summer, but Goodman makes them engaging and funny.

Professor Goodman was amazing!! Very hilarious and genuinely wants his students to succeed. Only hw is lengthy packets that are based off of topics for exams, which he gives you weeks to complete. Lectures are very engaging. Make sure to take notes on key things that he says. If you do all your hw he will drop the lowest test score. 100% Recommend!
