I can honestly say Dr. Gordon is my favorite professor at Auburn! He gives a study guide for each test and has a review session the class before each test. Its almost impossible to not make an A. You can tell hes really passionate about psychology! This is the professor to take. Oh and also, lots of extra credit

He is amazing. He lectures all class but he keeps it interesting with videos. He makes everything easy to understand. His PowerPoints are online so you dont really need to take notes. Final is not comprehensive its just another test. He also give you the opportunity for easy extra credit.

Dr. Gordon was a great teacher. His lectures were very straight forward, and if you study from the study guides and slides he gives you, you can pass easily with an A. We used an iClicker pretty much everyday, so you probably wanna go to class to get the points.

The tests are mainly memorization, but you do need to understand concepts. He gives you a study guide, which is very nice. When studying, I just went directly from the study guide, and never opened my book. He is extremely helpful and cares about his students.

Seriously such a nice teacher, very straight forward lectures. He even took a class day before every test to go over the study guide that was made for each lecture exam. Does do clicker questions so the lecture is mandatory to get the points, however he is a very good professor so the class isnt boring.

Dr. Gordon gave a study guide before every exam, and I only studied it and made all A's and high B's on my exams. The optional textbook isn't needed. It's important to come to class so that you get full credit on your iClicker participation grade. Also, complete the maximum research participation bonus hours he offers (easy grade booster).

This class is amazing! He makes each lecture engaging and truly interesting. His testa are pretty straight forward as long as you study in class material and experiments, and do the study guide. He is incredibly helpful in office hours whether he is explaining confusing content or reviewing test! Take him!!!

All material on tests are from lecture. No need to purchase the textbook unless you really really just wanna read more about the subject. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit mainly with completing extra study participation hours or reaction papers.

Dr. Gordon is my favorite professor I have had so far. His class was so interesting I actually enjoyed going every day. He can be hilarious, and he relates what he teaches to his own life. His tests arent bad; I studied about 2 hours for each test and made an A or B every time. The final exam is not cumulative and is just another test.

His class is somewhat boring actually. He posts his lectures online and the book is a good tool to use to study. It does require students to participate in psych studies but they are fun to do. He is an average teacher.

I never did anything for this class besides about 3 days before the test I would use the study guide he posted and teach it all to myself, and I have gotten A's on all the tests so far. With him posting all of his slides online it's very easy to do well in the course.

Amazing professor. Keeps the material interesting. Allows for the class before a test to review & answer questions. Youll need to study for tests, but they arent that bad. If you ask during the review day, he will tell you what is on the test.

Pretty straightforward class. You don't really need to go to lectures to understand the material (he posts the slides online), but you need to go for the TopHat questions he asks in class for participation credit. If you study the slides, its an easy A. Plus, he gives extra credit which helps.

Dr G is an amazing professor. If I would have went to class more it would have been an easy A. He does a lot of extra credit. He is super caring and if you ever go to his office hours in need of something he will do his best to accommodate you. His lectures are kind of boring but it's actually interesting material if you follow along

If you can take Gordon DO IT. This class was the easiest I took all last semester. Everything you need to be successful in this class is laid out for you on Day 1. You honestly don't even have to go to class because you can do it all from home. If you take this class you will not regret it.

I love this class. It is genuinely interesting, not too difficult, and I made a 97 on my first exam! Just study well before the tests, do the Tophat participation questions, and make sure to get your research hours in.

Gordon is an awesome teacher! His exams follow his lecture slides, he posts his lectures in Canvas at the beginning of the semester so they are always accessible. Great teacher, teaches both the facts of the topic and personal experiences with it. He gives a lot of examples so lecturing does not actually feeling like lecturing!! He makes the class easy by making sure we get the topic and teaching it very well to us.

Attendance is semi-mandatory (you earn points on in class questions but he gives more than the required # of points out through the year). Tests are straight from the study guide; memorize it and get an easy A.

Does a good job of letting you know what you need to know for the tests through study guides. Make a quizlet of everything on them, study it for an hour or so before the test and the class is an easy A. You don't have to go to class at all because you can follow the lectures online but if you want to get something from the class, go to it.

Class isnt mandatory but its honestly not bad to just go. I always watched all his lectures he posted on canvas starting three days before the exam and the lowest grade I got was a B. He respects all of his students and will help you with whatever.

Great class and easy A. There is so much bonus it can bump you up a letter grade. The first test is the hardest and all the other ones are easier. Find a quizlet with the study guide and go over it a few times and you'll be good.

Rob is the absolute best!!! Take him for any psych class you can. He knows his stuff, makes lectures interesting, uses lots of examples, always willing to explain more. If you even remotely try it is impossible to not get an A in this class. Dr. Gordon gives you an extreme amount of bonus opportunity and the exams come straight from the notes. Make or find a Quizlet with the terms, you'll do just fine. Plus, the lectures are actually informative and entertaining. He does a good job showing videos to make class fun

If you're trying to figure out if you should take Sensation & Perception, don't. I have regrets. Dr. Gordon is awesome, but the class is tough. Tests are 20 MC & 11 (hard) short answer q's, so you have to know your stuff. Rob provides a lot of extra credit opportunities & also drops 5/15 quizzes, so he cares about students' success. Still, don't.

Such a good professor!!!!! I took him online and while he didnt have zooms for lectures he did have a weekly zoom to check in. You would read the chapter each week and do a quiz and pack back. Exams are tough but just study ahead of time and you will be fine. Try to get him in person if you can!

Sensation and perception is really tough, lots of studying. But Dr. Gordan is a wonderful teacher and explains everything really clearly, including what you need to know for the exam. It is just a lot of information and the tests are half short answer so you need to know your stuff. He does give out really big and easy EC assignments though

I took this as an online class because of COVID. If you pay attention in class, along with the online recorded lectures, and use the study guide you should be fine. Dr. Gordon makes understanding the material really easy and I enjoyed going to his class.

Dr. Gordon was my favorite professor this semester. The class consists of one bi-weekly assignment, a quiz per module, and 4 exams. The exams were not extremely difficult, but definitely study hard. Dr. Gordon is a kind man who is very giving. He gives reviews for the exams, and lots of extra credit opportunities. I would love to take him again.

The lectures were long at times, but easy to read and take notes on. There were weekly quizzes with packbacks that were super easy and took 15 minutes at max to do. He gave a lot of extra credit at the beginning of the semester and the tests were easy if you took notes.

Professor Gordon is super kind and you can tell he is passionate about teaching. He makes his lectures more personable by adding his own stories. He teaches to the test so make sure you take good notes! If you do that then you will for sure get an A.

His class is structured in a way that you are almost guaranteed an A for minimum work and he will actually adjust the course to meet the overall student's needs. He also will give a good bit of extra credit towards the beginning and end of the semester to help you out.

He is nice and is very good at lecturing. Sometimes they can get a little boring unless you are super interested in the subject matter. The entire class is based on your exam scores. As long as you make a quizlet of the study guide or get someone else to and study that, you will be fine. There are multiple opportunities for extra credit.

Super understanding and accessible. He posted Panopto lectures before classes, and would then lecture on them so if you went to class and watched lectures, you'd hear material twice. Easy projects and papers occasionally. His tests are usually similar to study guides. Definitely recommend to anybody needed Intro to Psychology!

Loved Dr. Gordon! Nice guy, very sweet. He zooms his class so you can decide whether you want to go to class or just watch. He uses TopHat to ask basic questions during lectures for participation points, but you can do that at home and even missing some wont hurt your grade. I just look at his slides before a test and make 100s. Easy!

Gordon was a great professor. This was easily my favorite class, and it has nothing to do with my major. He was super chill. He gives three no-questions asked extensions, which I didn't even have to use at all because he only assigns one thing per week and you have the entire week to do it, and it's easy. Take notes, and you'll be fine.

His class is basically just lecturing, but you need to actually listen to what he is saying because not all the information is on the slides. He typically recorded lectures, so just make sure you're not basing your knowledge off of just the slides. He's great!

His class is pretty easy as long as you attend lectures. He posts a kahoot to practice with before the exams which I found very helpful. He also is pretty flexible with missing work but you have a limited amount of excuses.

I absolutely loved this class. I had taken AP psych in high school and didn't understand a word, but taking his class, he really breaks down all the material and makes it easy to understand. His tests are very straightforward and fair and all multiple choice. He also provides a Kahoot before each exam that covers all the material you need to know.

Great Professor. Only tested on the notes you go over. He breaks down the concepts well and makes sure you understand. Very likeable person. Gives you study guides and Quizlet's for the tests.

I could not recommend a professor more! Dr. Gordon is so great. There are 4 test grades, multiple grades for top hat participation, extra credit points for doing research participation, and quiz grades. Everything you would need to know is on top hat, so if you miss class, you are not really missing much.

Gordon holds my attention during his lectures, making class less painful. Attendance isn't mandatory and if you miss a class he recorded his lectures (I believe from Covid-era) and they are just as helpful!! Amazing professor, the lectures are very interesting, test are very straightforward and attendance is not mandatory.

This class was very easy as long as you prepare for the exams. Class is not mandatory, and he posts all the lecture slides. The tests are straight are straight from the slides and he provides sufficient study materials so you will succeed.

Tons of grace and leeway. Extra credit, extensions, dropped grades. Final is not cumulative. Exams are easy if you study and he has two review sessions. Top Hat is used for "attendance" and you need 20 out of maybe 50 points for a 100%. Kind guy. Class itself is a little tough but he gives you all of the tools to succeed. Lecture slides are online.

Best teacher I've had at Auburn! This class was really interesting and educational, and it felt like Dr. Gordon knew the answer to literally any question we had about the topics. His exams are very straightforward and if you just study the information, you'll know how to answer the questions. He gives extra credit opportunities and is very caring.

Dr. Gordon's class is great! He provides helpful study tools like Kahoot and TopHat. With the easy grading system, unstuck ai, and engaging lectures, you're set up for success.

Professor Gordon is one of the best professors at Auburn! His exams were not bad at all and the study guide he goes over in class is the same format as the exams just different numbers. I honestly put little effort in this class and still found it very manageable. Definitely recommend him!

Best professor ever! This has by far been my easiest and most interesting class at AU! He has bonus on every test. The tests are insanely easy if you just go to class because he tells you exactly what will be on them and tells you how to answer them. He does 2-day reviews and is an easy grader. Lots of easy quiz grades, too! I 100% recommend him!!

Dr. Gordon is the best! His class was so interesting and one of my favorite classes I have taken at Auburn. The concepts can be difficult but he breaks it down so well. I wish he taught more classes!!

This class was actually amazing and its very obvious it is something Dr. Gordon is very passionate about. He is one of my if not my favorite professor I have ever had in my three years at Auburn. Tests are multiple choice and written response but he prepares you very well.

TAKE THIS CLASS!! He cares so much and you will make an A if you study. He gives weekly assignments on packback, but they aren't difficult once you get the hang of it. Before each test, there are 3 quizzes in Canvas, but you get more than one chance on them. He also gives 3 "no questions asked" extensions on pretty much anything but tests.

Professor Gordon is a doll! He is so precious and so helpful! He is very accessible outside of class and really wants his students to succeed. Couldn't recommend him more! TAKE THIS CLASS!! As long as you pay attention in class and look over your notes you will do great!

Amazing guy- funny and his lectures were very interesting and easy to follow. He uses TopHat participation as part of your grade. As long as you spend time with the course content and pay attention it's a breeze! The final is not cumulative either, so one less thing to stress out about during finals week. Highly recommend!

Honestly he is the best professor I've had at Auburn. Just a super kind guy overall, and extremely fair. If you do the reviews and pay attention in class you'll get an A. Minimal homework with plenty of time to turn it in. He also gives out a lot of extra credit.

This class was an easy A for me! I enjoyed his lectures, and this was my favorite class this semester. The tests are pretty easy if you come to the lectures and pay attention. He uses TopHat, and you will receive participation points from it, so I highly recommend attending majority of the lectures!

He is actually the kindest professor. He loves what he does and you can tell. Tests are not difficult, and there is plenty of opportunity for extra credit with research. You have to study for tests, not just the Kahoot, but as long as you pay attention you should do well.

He's actually probably my favorite professor I've ever had. He makes the class so interesting and is so knowledgeable about it. He genuinely cares for everyone and wants everyone to do well. I wish he taught more classes, I would so take him again. If you can, take his class!!

The only professor I will give a rating for, he is the goat. Super nice guy, and cares about his students. Responds to emails and tests are pretty easy if you just study. Absolutely take this guy.

Dr. Gordon really cares about his students and he wants you to do well. This class can be really difficult, but he teaches it in a way that makes it so much more accessible. His study guides are pretty much exactly like the exam and he is very clear on what he expects from you.

I would take this class again and again if I could. Dr. Gordon is such a good professor. He is so nice and truly cares about the well being of his students. He would make time for review periods before every exam (sometimes 2 periods). Only 3-4 homework assignments all semester. Lectures are also engaging because of top hat. 10/10 recommend!

He is such a caring professor, the exams are based on study guides he provides so if you study them you will get a 100 on every exam. Could not recommend enough taking this class! Attendance is based off of TopHat and the questions he asks, so potentially you could reach your attendance points halfway through the semester.

Great guy who instructs the course well and is helpful. You will need to study well as there a lot of terms and concepts, Quizlet is your best friend. Attendance is optional and you can just log into class at dorm. Exams NEVER have any material that hasn't been shown on the slides. Just do the work and study then there is no reason to not succeed.

Probably the nicest professor at Auburn. He really cares about his students and his class was by far my favorite class to take. I'd 100% recommend this class to everyone. He gives really engaging lectures and made class really enjoyable to go to.
