He's really funny! His slides are great and easy to remember. He shows movies as examples. He drops the lowest test score. You get to do extra credit experiments. I did really well (Like A well).

took the gen ed psych with him. personally couldn't stand to hear his lectures listened to portable cd player through all of them. went to lab which gives you all the info you need for his test. got a b and never heard a word his lectures after day 1.

this class is an easy A if you read the book and notes, which are posted on his website. Or you can go to the lectures, which are fun bc he shows movie and commercial clips. He makes things fun and gives extra credit for attendance!

Awesome prof. Love him. I would suggest taking the lab on a wednesday, it really helps to clear things up and is right in time with the class. He is great and he makes a fool of himself to make us pay attention. IT WORKS! will take again!

He is a cool teacher, but it can get rather boring sometimes. You don't have to come to class as long as you study the notes and look at the slide show at home. You really don't need the book to pass the class. I never used the book and got B's.

He uses examples of real-life situations to explain all the material. That is incredubly helpful!

He is my favorite teacher! I loved being in his class bc he made it soo much more fun than it could've been, with the movie clips, and helpful with the notes and everything being online!!!

His 110 has harder tests then 105 but I still managed to get an A by studying the notes from online. You don't have to go to class all that much.

Took Dr. Gordon for PSY 105...loved his teaching style so went back for 110. Funny and gives great examples to help you understand the material. Tests can be tough if you're not good with situational scenarios. One reason I'm becoming a Psych minor.

Went to about 2 classes and still got a B. Easy teacher, just read the book and got notes online. Easy A if you go to class. Labs are harder than the actual class.

Pay attention to the movie clips, know the words in bold print from the text, and enjoy the class!

There is no doubt that Dr. Gordon rocks I've taken every class that Dr. Gordon teaches and never got bellow an A didn't have to study at all just showed up to lectures. Although it can get boring sometimes he is a fun guy to listen to.

Gordon is a great teacher. The notes are printable off the internet, which is nice, so you dont have to get distracted during class to keep up with taking notes. The notes is the test. Go to the SI classes, very helpful!

Dr Gordon is the coolest professor I have had so far at WS. I recommend him to anyone. Tests can be a little tricky sometimes, but go to class, and read over the notes a few times, you will do good.

Really easy class. Class is pretty much optional because all the notes are online. A's on tests are pretty easy if you just study the notes. Go to class if you want answers to the extra credit on his tests though. Easy A.

GREAT PROFESSOR! Very entertaining, even when the material is lame. Gave bonus points for ridiculous stuff (ex: he would put the trash can on one side of the room and if he could get his Pepsi bottle in from the other side of the room, whoever attended class that day got bonus points). Great guy.

Very enjoyable teacher. I find it hard to understand how anyone could take this class and not pass -- that's not necessarily to say that Gordon is easy, but his explanations are very effective, and the video clips are entertaining while still pertaining to the subject matter. Highly recommended.

Class material well defined. Occassionally fell behind and scrambled to catch up before exams. TONS of x-tra credit offered to where anyone can get an A. Enjoyable teaching style. Supplements with movies, commercials, slides, etc... Highly recommend.

Dr. Gordon is a great prof. He understood the fears first time freshmen go through. However, take notes, read your book, and you will do well. Always made me laugh.

This class was marvelous!! I showed up to class every M,W,F for the first 2 tests, but then stopped going and got an A! All you have to do is watch the powerpoint on his website and look at the outline and you will do well on the tests!

Not only were both classes taught effectively but they were also fun. The tests were easy and he offered a lot of extra credit. If you have the opportunity to take Gordon then do so... you won't regret it.

the kind of guy you like rather than respect

I learned more in this class than any other of my psych major classes. I actually looked forward to lectures. He told you exactly what you needed to do to pass the class. Put some real effort into the case study paper, and you'll do fine.

Best psych. prof. i've ever had. i loved his classes, i wish he taught more of them. he gives great examples and he makes everything very easy to understand. i highly recommend his classes!

Gordon makes his lectures funny so that we wont be too overwhelmed. He explains most of his materials and compares them with things we often use today. His class is a fun learning experience. I recommend him if taking Psychology classes. Oh, he also drops your lowest test grade!!!He is a great teacher who makes a different on his students future!

Dr. Gordon makes psych a tolerable subject. The tests are hard, but if you study you can deffinitely get an A. Easy to blow off the class...but highly recommended that you go...gives bonus!!

Dr. Gordon is very animated during lectures. he uses lots of videos and movies to back up te readig. I really never read any of the books, but I did go to class. He is definitely a great professor. Take all of his classes if possible.

To teach a class with over 450 students in it he does a heck of a job to keep us all interested and entertained.

Awesome teacher!! He shows clips from recent movies and ad campaigns that correlate to the material he teachers, making it a lot easier to remember and actually learn the information.

Great guy! I thought this class was good. Dr. Gordon was a good teacher. If you listened in his lectures you could def. get an A. I thought a lot of his films were well related and made it fun.

Notes online are awesome.

He's entertaining, but the class is HUGE, so he's not really helpful. However, there are plenty of other options (Lab TA, his TA, and the SI instructor). Extra credit is always available. All presentations are on-line. He drops your lowest exam score, so I didn't even have to take the final and still got an A! Definitely recommend this class!

Class wasn't easy, but it was possible to get a good grade with extra credit. The SI classes are very helpful.

Funny teacher, he has a very weird voice when hes lecturing. Sometimes he sorta sounds like a white Bill Cosby.

Lectures/presentations are all posted on-line, so you can miss class and still be okay... But he always gives extra helpful hints about the exams during lecture so it's beneficial to show up. WI papers are not too bad... Recommend taking this class if you need a WI credit!

I have had Dr. Gordon twice now and I think he is excellent. His slides and films really help me remember his lectures. He gives extra credit to help ya out too. As long as you study his slides, there is no way you can fail his tests.

He is one of the most outgoing teachers I know......and its a class i actually love going to.

Excellant teacher. Very nice, very very funny. In the class I had, he didnt require you to be there, but most attended anyway, even if they didnt need to take the last exam. He's that good, interesting, fun. Definetly take him. Highly reccomend!!

I really enjoyed Dr. Gordon's class. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I took him for PSY105 and 110 and I would definitely recommend him to anyone taking a psych class. Easy A, just read his online notes and take advantage of the extra credit!!! you don't really need the book...

Make sure you study notes, or you wont do so well. But Gordy is by far the best prof. i've had at WSU. He's hilarious, and although you dont need to go to class, he makes you want to be there.

Gordon is very affective at teaching this course. Attending class is a must to get a decent grade, but he's very entertaining. He says what type of question will be on the exam and uses movie clips and cartoons as examples. Take Gordon ; )

Excellent professor! The class is easy, but you learn a lot. His lectures are enjoyable. He also provides ample extra credit. If you pay attention and do not skip, this class is incredibly easy. Ironically, I found the lab quizzes to be harder than the tests.

Easy Class!!!! take if u can. writing intensive part is annoying but easy and u get bonus points for doing them. just show up to class and read notes u will do great. Test questions can get a little tricky.

Dr. Gordon is very enthusiastic about his field and is a very fair Prof. Although he was often 10 or more minutes late to class his lectures were always worth waiting for. Very easy exams with 5+ bonus questions about video clips shown in class. My only real complaint about this class was Gordon's TA.

Best PSYCH 105 teacher in the world. Will tell you exactly what you need to know in class before tests and gives you enormous amounts of extra credit. However, people still failed because they did not study. Even though its easy studying is necessary!

hes really cool but the class can get kinda boring. go to the SIs! they not only help but you get extra credit for going. He puts all the notes on power point and just goes over them in class so you dont really have to go to class unless you want the bonus questions which are easy credit so i advise you to go to class and at least kinda listen

Very good professor, one that I would recommend to anyone. Very clear presentations, online notes, and a goofy personality were some of the many things I loved about his class. I don't like psycology, but Dr. G's attitude of teaching helped me grasp the topics with ease. His online notes followed the book, so the book isn't a waste of money. #1Prof

He's great! He's fun and keeps you interested. He knows how to relate the material to the students. I barely studied and got an A. I studied for an hour right before the final and I did fine. Go to classes if you can. Even though it's all online, it's good to hear it all twice and easier to memorize if you attend lecture.

His class was really fun he made you want to learn the material the work wasn't to hard all of the quizzes that you took online related to the things that he discussed in class i recommend his class to anyone that has to take psychology.

Probably the easiest course I'll ever take in college! Very funny and easygoing, easy to listen to him lecture. Constantly uses videos to illustrate concepts. Tests/comprehensive final weren't that hard.

Gordon is awesome..his lectures are interesting, and he tells funny stories that are sometimes used for bonus questions on the exams. he shows a lot of videos in his classes that are also used as bonus questions so you should go to the classes. he's really great though!!

This class was excellent as long as you do not procrastinate. All the quizzes are online and the professor is really funny!

Gordon is a great professor. He is helpful and answers any questions if you have them. He tries his his best to keep class interesting. Also, attendance is optional and well I never went to class and still pulled an A. Buy the Hard copy of the book because it helps tremendously when taking the online open book tests.

Dr. Gordon is definitely not my favorite teacher. I don't think he's funny at all. His lectures are really boring so I stopped going early on, but the class is the easiest class you'll ever take. Unlike 1010, his tests are in class on a scantron, not online, so there is no way for you to cheat. Attendence is not mandatory, but he does give out extra credit if the class is less than half full as well as possible test questions. He posts all of the powerpoints online, and I would say read everything before the tests. Start the paper early!

LOVED HIM !! i think he is so funny. his class is extremely funny, and his tests are super easy. everything is done online, and he tries to make things easy to understand !! i would take him for every psych class if i could.

The class was not boring. The teacher does try to interject humor into his lectures, and some are funny. He is very knowledgeable. He goes too fast, and does read right off his powerpoints, but also gives information from his experience as a clinician. I did not like the tests. You do not need the book, save your money.

Dr. Gordon is awesome and this class is definitely an easy A. Just go to class and study the lecture notes and practice exams. The book is not a necessity but can be helpful if confused about something. He gives out a lot of bonus points. There is a paper to write but it is easy and he gives you guidelines for it that make it simple. TAKE HIM!!!

Robbie G is the man! His lectures are always very interesting. The videos he makes us watch are very entertaining. However you have to do a lab. He gives extra credit for showing up sometimes.

Professor Gordon is fantastic. Not much else to say. The lectures are always interesting, and they're helped by his incorporation of videos and the like.

Dr. Gordon is fantastic. He posts all of his material online so you dont have to go to class, but class is very enjoyable and worth going to, and it helps with extra credit on exams. Give lots of extra credit in general and is very laid back. Typically lets class out early and is not afraid to be himself and joke around in class.

Gordon is a funny guy. Taken him for both Abnormal and Lifespan Psych. He has issues with technology, but that just makes class more interesting! He posts his powerpoints online, and gives really good practice tests for exams. Study those and you'll do really well on the tests. There's also a paper for the class, but he gives a sample. Lots of EC.

I have had Gordon twice now. He is a very good teacher. If you miss his class, you will be fine. It is not mandatory. I have never used the textbook. He puts all of his notes on Pilot and there are study exams. There are 4 exams in the class and there is 1 paper. His lectures are informative if you go, but if you don't you will still pass.

Funny & energetic guy, he talked about some of his previous cases that relate to the current material. Will state in lecture what the bonus questions are and their answers. All questions multiple choice or matching. Write one 3-5 page paper about mental illness due at end of semester. Do not need book, just read slides he posts on pilot.

I have had three classes with Dr. Gordon. He is an amazing professor with a true passion for education. He was always available for discussion in the library starbucks and gave excellent answers to questions that were not in the book. If you're a psych major at Wright State definitely take his classes.

Dr. Gordon is one of my favorite professors at WSU! I have an extremely large amount of respect for him, and I learned a lot from him. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he gives you a lot of answers to what will be on the test. The textbook isn't really required, but I recommend it. Four exams and one short paper.

He is an avid giver of extra credit. Awesome lectures that kept me interested in abnormal psychology. Strongly recommend him!!

He is one of absolute favorite professors!!! He is so funny attendance isnt mandatory, its too good to miss. He gives 5pts extra credit just for showing up the exams. 4 exams, 1 paper. Fair grader and he gives you answers during class to write down. I would definitely take it again.

Great Prof. Enjoyed his course and am taking another this fall. He's not a pushover but is flexible for students. Class is interesting. Definitely one of the best psych profs in the department. Should have taken abnormal with him. Learns every student's name.

Took the Clinical Psych Learning Collab this semester. First time the course was offered. It's basically a 'careers in clinical psych' course, but better than the one currently offered of the same name. Inspired me to apply for a doctoral program, and made me feel like it was a doable goal. MUST take if you are interested in clinical/counseling.

I agree and disagree with the post on 08/19/2019. Yes, he is awesome, but he also does teach and he's a wonderful professor. The class is maingly consisted of student's presenting, but he helps as well (so he does teach a lot). He's a clinical psychologist so he definitely knows what he's talking about. You'll love his class. Dr. Gordon is awesome.

He was amazing. I absolutely loved him. I wish I took more of his classes. I was engaged in his lectures from start to finish and was upset when it was over.

Best professor Ive ever had. I would take any class with him. Abnormal psychology consist of 4 exams (online) and a film critique. The exams are difficult if you go to class and take notes. Very lecture heavy but its interesting. Gives extra credit if you go to every class. Make sure you write the notes before coming to class goes over notes fast

Dr. Gordon is fantastic and I look forward to learning more from him as I complete his Abnormal and Clinical Psych capstones. Academia needs more professors like him, he truly understands and encourages the collaborative learning environment.

Dr. Gordon is excellent!!! His lectures kept everyone awake the entire time, and he did take attendance. I will say, looking at his previous reviews. Yes, he doesn't go through the full slides and is very hard to reach. But I still loved taking his class, and he has his own private office, so he knows what he is talking about.

Professor Gordon's lectures were engaging and informative. While attendance is mandatory, he offers extra credit just for showing up. The exams can be challenging, but using resources like unstuckstudy ai and the provided study materials can really help. Overall, a great class to take.

I love this teacher, he is hilarious, funny, smart, and caring. Yes, there is a paper that exceeds 10 pages but its a lot of fun writing it and you get to do a PowerPoint slide of your choosing disorder but this is not as much work as the human sexuality capstone class. and he makes things fun in the classroom.

Ok it's a capstone, so that was the FATTEST presentation and paper of my life BUT I've never known so much about a disorder/series of disorders. However, this man REALLY preps for grad school and is so funny. Very, very enjoyable class; very excited to take the clinical psych capstone next sem!

Dr. G is one of the best professor I have ever had at Wright State. His lecture in Abnormal Psych were entertaining and interesting. He does attendance and does provides but its all taken at YOUR own pace and time. You do have a film project do but its a super fun project. I highly recommend him.

I took Dr. G for his abnormal and clinical capstone. I will admit both capstones required A LOT of school work, but the good news is you do it all at your own pace, and it's 100% worth it. Dr.G's lectures are interesting and entertaining; he also knows how to get everyone hooked on group discussions. He is hilarious!

It was my first time having Dr. Gordon and I first I was a little scared. His class seemed like I had missed a stage, but after a little bit I started to understand. He does try to prepare students for graduate school. He was an amazing professor, helping out students during their presentation, and constantly making class fun! I highly recommend!

Dr. G was a saving grace during my spring semester of college. Work is a heavy work load BUT you get it done all at your own pace! Also you have one film project to do that is due at the end of the semester but it was a fun project. Dr. G is also hilarious and kept us awake.

Dr. Gordon class kept me awake and alive!!! He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed getting to know his students. Had him for Abnormal psych and 2 capstones! The workload is HEAVY but it's all done at your own pace! In abnormal you have a film project to do and it's a lot of fun! Don't worry about a thing!

He is a very good professor, love his lectures, he knows what he's talking about. His exam is focused not on the material itself, but on understanding the material. There were also a lot of other ways how to get a better grade and retake the exams! I would take his class again in the future!

Dr. Gordon KNOWS what he is talking about when it comes to Psychology. He has through lectures that make sense. Attendance is mandatory but it is not hard to get the motivation to go to class because of how good and funny he manages to keep his lectures. As a Psychology undergrad, this class was a perfect start to my studies.
