He's honestly so amazing, and so knowledgable, but if you don't want to/can't give the time his classes require, you're not going to do well. You need to listen to every word he says and seriously just memorize his notes and assignments and you'll do fine. It can definitely be a shock for people who take his classes for the first test.

Dr. Guimond is an awesome professor. He gives 3 exams and theyre each 25% of your grade. The other 25% is the lab grade. He bases his exams strictly off his lecture notes. His lectures are really interesting and you can tell hes very passionate about teaching anatomy.

His class is honestly really hard but at the same time very rewarding; you learn a lot and the information learnt is definitely valuable for the future. His exams are tough and overall a stressful class. You need to put in the time and effort and study every day. It's very time consuming but worth it. Don't be afraid to talk to him personally.

Dr. Guimond is by far one of the best professors I've had at UMass Boston. His class is very content heavy and time-consuming, which makes it pretty stressful. Study your lecture notes and special assignments thoroughly and you will do well. I think Nursing students are fortunate to have him for such a demanding class

Robert Guimond is easily the best professor Ive ever had. All of his exams are based on his lectures, and as long as you attend and take notes youll pass. He gives you a previews sheet with everything youll need to study for every test. Hes super funny and passionate about what he does. Its clear that he wants everyone to succeed.

He gives you everything you need to succeed, you just need to put in the work and effort in order to really get a good grade. Its a challenging course only because theres a ton of material you need to learn. My best advice it is to use Quizlet to make flashcards of your notes. Also record the lectures and rewrite notes after every class!

This is a challenging class. Show up, record the lectures and memorize the notes and you'll be good. The tests are A-J (not A, B, C and D) which makes it very challenging. Lecture and lab are very detailed, pay attention to the details.

Do not study last minute because you will fail, there's a lot of information to memorize. As for the professor, he seems intimidating at first, but he'll grow on you. Attendance isn't mandatory but of course if you skip, you won't be able to take notes and all his tests are based on lecture notes.

Tests are EASY if you study! Use quizlet to study and also read over your notes. Listen to his lectures after class and retype your notes, it'll help you remember things. He is extremely kind, but be respectful because he will call you out. He cares about his students success and gives you everything you need to succeed.

Professor Guimond is a real gem. He understands what he is talking about and wants everyone to understand the topics. Anatomy is a difficult subject but if you do as professor Guimond says then you'll pass. Study hard and don't miss lectures, then you'll pass with a good grade!

Lab is 25% of your grade & hard af! Grade based on 3 exams mult choice A-J (its like he doesn't want you to choose the right answer). Very rigid tenured professor who says "no eating/drinking in the auditorium" (I had a T/R 8am class). While he knows his stuff, his rigid way of teaching & class structure sets students up to fail.

If you have other classes, kids, a job, or a life then get ready to abandon all (children included) or be prepared to get a D. 3 exams & lab (25%) determine your grade. Knows his stuff but he's awful. He's extremely unlikable & needs to retire. He's also tenured & runs the A&P part of the dept so no amt of complaining will do anything. GOOD LUCK!!!

This class is not easy by any means. He makes his expectations clear from the beginning. You HAVE to study before the week of the exam because its too much info to cram. I bombed the first exam but after going to talk to him he was understanding and he took into consideration my improvement on the other two exams. He is an honest and passionate guy

There are 3 exams (3rd is the final). This class is very time consuming, but you will enjoy it if you like anatomy. Very helpful to record lectures because every word he says will be on an exam. Try to go to open lab! Did well on the first two exams, but the 3rd was pretty hard for me since he gives out a huge supplement for us to memorize. Study!!

A&P with Guimond is not an easy A, so be prepared to seriously work hard in this class. I did poorly on the first exam because I underestimated how much studying to do. Take full advantage of the supplements and exam previews - everything on it is essential. Go to open lab as well! I probably would've failed if I didn't start going.

I'd have to say Guimond's class is a fair class and grades fairly. Not an easy A type of class that you can cruise through by doing minimal work and skipping. You really have to study to even pass this course. I did okay on the hour exams but did very poorly on the first lab practical as I had just underestimate the amount of studying I had to do.

Honestly a disgrace to the Anatomy department of this school and he runs the department. Un-flexible course, extremely difficult and outdated testing style, probably the worst professor I and many others have ever had. He has a motto for struggling students who ask how to do better "oh sweetie everyone takes my class twice." Do not take with him.

So here's the deal with Guimond, his way of teaching is just by speaking in his lectures and his exams are word for word what he says so take notes and record him speaking. They are lengthy multiple choice A to J but if you study what he says everything is straightforward. Take this class serious and dedicate your time TO STUDYING.
