This class was fairly difficult, but heck, its Math 275. He was pretty nice. At times it seemed as though he hated teaching as well as his students, but he seemed to get a bit more easy-going towards the end. I'll take it that you're not that great at math. Maybe you've gotten a C in precalculus, or struggled in algebra. This class will not be easy for you. Many peers are annoyed that they earn a B because of silly algebra mistakes on exams. If you're pretty good at math, this is fine. Easy A. Just come to lectures and participate. You'll do great!

This professor's teaching style is very old-school. I don't think he remembers what it's like to learn calc II for the first time. To be fair though, it's tough material even for a *good* teacher.

Mr Hasson is an awesome teacher. He comes prepared to teach math. In order to do well in his class, you need to keep up with chapter homework, attend lectures and ask questions. His exams are not easy. He treats you like a responsible adult. If you don't do well in his class, it's on you. CSM is fortunate to have a teacher of his caliber.

You either hate this guy or love him. His lectures are very good but very fast. I suspect the low ratings here couldn't keep up with him. Covered everything that was going to be on the test and answered any question no matter how many times it had been asked before or how basic it was. Many examples of how to do problems in class.

It's great that Robert Hasson is an expert in math, but he is an awful teacher and most cannot "keep up" with him. I have no idea how he has so many good ratings on here.

Somewhat fast-paced, but very intuitive teaching style based on proofs and visualization. Amazing homework sets that prep very well for tests. Several cumulative exams throughout the semester that makes the final exam easy to study for and lower the weight of each individual exam. Keen to questions and helps anyone who needs it.

Extremely lecture based. Whenever you learn a new concept or do a new type of problem, he has you try multiple problems of that type until he sees that the class does get the hang of it. Always answers questions and is willing to explain things. The homework and (optional) reviews prepare you extremely well for the 5 cumulative exams.

Took this professor for both calc 2 and 3. Very efficient style of teaching which changes your view on math(for me it changed math from a vortex of variables and symbols to lots of algebra following simple ideas). You may have to argue your ways if you have different perspectives of methods on tests, but overall, one of the best professors I've had.

If you think you can get by as a first-timer, you're either an expert or you probably went to all his office hours. No extra credit, your entire grade is based on just exams, and they're cumulative, as in, from 2nd exam onwards, the questions will include topics from past exams. He grades extremely harshly on small mistakes. Beware!

Professor Hasson is the best teacher I've ever had! I had him for Math 253 and 268. He has engaging lectures; but make sure to attend class because if you don't you will be lost. He explains things perfectly, has a lot of office hours, and is super nice. Tests are the same as the homework, just changed the numbers, one of the easiest As I've gotten

Robert is a good teacher and good at explaining things. If you have a question you can ask it in class and he will explain it. A downside of taking him is that all of his homework are due at odd times. Office hours are late 6/7pm use them if possible very useful My rating may be biased because i took his night classes making me more committed

His lectures very engaging. If you ask questions he is happy to answer them. Cumulative tests suck at first, but you will be grateful for them during the final. He is a harsh grader, but will answer clarifying questions about test questions so it evens out. Lowest test grade is dropped. Over all, he is a great guy who cares about his students.

Definitely a harsh grader! He takes a lot of points for even small algebraic mistakes. Therefore, you may feel extra stressed during the tests. He wants to see the same word-for-word solution on the test as he solved it in class, and if you solve it differently, he takes points even if it is correct.

Took both 253 and 270. Only exams and HW. Tests are frequent and cumulative but not challenging, if you understand the material above a 90 on every test is likely. You have more than enough time on the exams plus he is available during office hours to help prep. Lectures, they are interesting, informative and come with practice problems.

The class is graded based on 5 tests (lowest score is dropped) and a final exam. Homework is assigned but not graded. Prof. Hasson is funny and clear, always open to questions and eager to help outside of class. I think some felt intimidated to ask questions because he isn't very expressive, but he's a great person and professor. Highly recommend!

Professor Hasson was one of the best professors I have ever had. He seems intimidating at first, but he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. I like Professor Hasson, at first, I was a little confused with his teaching style, but once I got a hold of it, it was fine. He teaches fast and it's easy to get lost. He gives SO MUCH time to ask questions and goes over homework every class. I hated linear algebra but was able to understand it with his class. I'm taking him again for future math
