This class was extremely easy. You don't even need your book, just show up to class everyday and you'll do fine. All test material is based on Lectures. I NEVER read the book and my final grade was an A. Mr. Henderson is clear and precise.

Goofy guy, makes class very interesting. Doesn't count attendance at all. Nothing from the book is on tests, but it helps with understanding material because it's not an easy class. You'll want to attendance class because he makes lectures interesting.

He explains everything very well. If you are looking for a memorization class then do not take this class because you will definitely fail. Tests are based on concepts that he explains in class so you do not really need the book just go to class.

Eagle? Locamotive! lol...his office is always open and he will sit down and talk you through the info...but it is a tricky class, you really have to grasp what is taught. If you really don't wanna go to class, you can just take the final..it works 4 s

If you pay attention in class - you WILL do well. If you don't show up, you won't. Class can be hard to focus on, but he tries to make it interesting. Study guide not needed as book material is not as important as what is explained in lecture.

Rob makes the material as easy as he can to grasp and recall on a test. Simply listen to his lectures and you'll do fine. He answers questions and provides positive feedback to those who are thinking about the material. I wish he taught more courses.

THIS CLASS WAS HORRIBLE!!! I WENT TO CLASS EVERYDAY< TOOK AMAZING NOTES, BROUGHT A TAPE RECORDER, AND STILL STRUGGLED ON THE TESTS!!! WHAT IS GOING ON?!

very great prof. has great ideas about education. do not buy the book. print off his outlines off bb and write down examples for each idea/concept/theory. (he will give an example for each). this is the strategy I used and I dominiated all exams. got an A

This is the BEST prof EVER! Didn't do half the work (experiments/ responses to scholarly journals) so my grade rested solely on my final. Didn't study for it and got a strait A for the final (and thus, for the class). Just pay attention in class. I highly recommend this prof!

This class was hard but you can pass it. Do not buy the book, you do not need it unless you need to clarify topics. Take brief notes instead of word to word and then go bacn and rewrite your notes in detail. Trust me, this works much better. Some of the lectures are boring but he is very helpful.

Even though the class isn't a breeze...this is college now...it's still a good class and if you follow Bob's 'regimen' for studying and learning you should be fine. I've never taken a psychology class in my life, high school or college, and i'm getting an A/B+. If you apply yourself you'll be fine

Hes a pretty cool laid-back guy. Don't waste your money on the book, just be at class and take notes EVERYDAY. If you like to skip....Drop this class. Everything on test comes from lectures. Test are confusing at times, but what test aren't? Great Guy.

This guy is hilarious! He makes the class interesting, and he never makes you feel dumb. does everything he can to help your grade. don't buy the book- nobody touched it. listen in class, cuz the tests are more on theory than facts, but all multiple choice- if you need this class, take Hendersen!!

Prof. Henderson's class sessions are well organized and presented. His classes are interesting, and he always invites students to come to his office for help or for more insight on a particular topic. He emphasizes learning to make material applicable so you're not just spitting out facts...and his tests aren't hard if you pay attention in class!

If you look up psychology **** in the dictionary, you will see Bob Henderson. The man is a walking god. Funny, smart as hell, good analogies. Tests are a pain just study hard and you'll be alright. Grading system is amazing(D+ becomes C+) and the best part is if you Ace your final, you get an "A" in the class. love ya bob, keep on keepin on.

I love Bob Henderson... I never got bored in class and I had him for 3 hours straight in the summer and enjoyed every minute of it! The class rocks...his grading system rocks... Get this prof when ever you can!!!

So I don't know who rated him as hott...but he's old, fat and has glasses....? This porfessor is pretty boring most of the time but he does some interesting things here and there. This class isn't very much work, just exams, so study hard becuz they're ur whole grade! He knows what he's talking about but again...kinda boring.

Bob Hendersen is an excellent professor. He is very interesting, not unreasonable, and very entertaining. He is brilliant, but even more important, he is passionate about what he does. It is obvious that he cares for the students, and wants them to do well. I would recommend him to anyone!

Bob Hendersen was the best professor that I had my first year at grand Valley!! He made the class soo interesting, i found myself talking about it all the time outside of class. If I needed to take this class again, I def. wouldn't mind. If you have a chance to get Hendersen, don't pass it up!

He is a very smart prof. He lectures a lot and his tests are very hard! I studied so hard for them and only got C's. He goes into so much detail compared to other psychology professors. He is a very nice guy but his tests are really hard.

Robby's class was by far the most interesting one I've taken at GVSU. I failed it because the tests were impossible, but his lectures were so incredibly interesting. He's the reason why I've just changed my major to psychology. Tests are very hard, but very interesting class otherwise!

Dr. Henderson was an incredibly interesting person to listen to in lecture, and is an excellent teacher. His sense of humor and teaching style made the class a pleasure to attend, and the class itself was quite easy provided you payed attention and took notes. 2-3 hours of studying before each of the 3 tests and 1 final exam got me all As on them.

Professor Hendersen is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Yes, his tests can be hard, but this is COLLEGE! If you aren't willing to put in the effort, you don't deserve a good grade. Besides, the tips he gives you on studying are very useful, and not just for his tests. If you want to really learn Psychology, definitely sign up for his class.

Professor Henerson was great! The 1st exam was difficult, but for the next 3 exams, I had a study group and we thoroughly reviewed/discussed the notes, and i got A's the rest of the semester. Hendersen is very helpful and kind, and wants students to do well. ATTEND LECTURE--isn't bad b/c the material is VERY interesting and he knows it well.

Bob has been the most entertaining professor that I have had so far at GVSU. He is extremely knowledgeable and can easily rate the material to the students. Beware: simply memorizing the notes will not get you an A! You actually have to have a decent understanding of the material to do well. So that means STUDY!

Tests are TRICKY! Must COMPREHEND the material, not just recite. He doesn't go by the book at all, so skip it and buy a voice recorder instead because he explains the material well and test questions are based on his verbal lectures. Classmates agree, beware the first exam, because it is harder than you'd expect.

His lectures are really interesting, and I learned a lot. The only problem was his exams were all really hard.. you really needed to comprehend the material and understand it all.

By far one of the best professors i've ever had. Bob knows his stuff and every class interesting. You definitely need to study for his tests because theyre not your typical memorization stuff..but by no means impossible and it all really helps you in the end. I would definitely take Bob again if I had the chance.

I didn't believe everyone at first but, you really need to be able to apply the material in hypothetical situations not just memorize the material. DON'T BUY THE BOOK. You do not need it. 2/3 of the way through the semester I figured out that Bob's class is like an intricate puzzle, where after a while everything starts fitting together. Each class is interesting, but "the whole is more than the sum of the parts." What a terrific professor!

The best prof I've had at GV! He really cares about his students and their success in his class. I didn't get a great grade but that was my fault because I didn't do the work. Go to class!! I learned a lot from him and would love to have him again as a prof. GV needs more profs like him!!!

Good professor. The key to success in this class is paying attention in class. If you pay attention in class and take good notes, you'll receive a B no sweat. Reading the assigned chapters will definitely help as well. Study for each exam for at least 2 hours and you will have an A guaranteed.

I really enjoy Professor Hendersen's class. He always has examples with what we're learning that are very interesting. His exams are pretty tough, rather then memorization, they test on application of the material.

Not the easiest Professor by far. He's test are very difficult and the only thing to study from is the outline and the notes you take in class along with the reading. However he is very interesting and has lots of good examples.

Great course because the prof is awesome. Treats students as grown-ups, expects them to understand the course material, not just memorize it. Prof is organized, clear, witty, interesting. He teaches you how to think about scientific questions. Class is like watching NOVA on tv, except the prof is there and you can ask questions.

This guy was REALLY difficult. I studied for multiple hours for his tests and still did not do as well as I wanted. He knew what he was talking about but did not teach this class as a 100 level class. Go to class or you will miss a lot of valuable information!!

Exams were pretty difficult and hard to study for. Really have to know how to apply psychology terms to all kinds of situations. However, Prof Hendersen was always willing to meet with you and help. Really nice guy. Meet with him at the beginning of the semester to do the best you can do in this class.

Hendersen is a VERY good professor. Reading the text book was a good idea to know the concepts before class, but it wasn't mandatory. If you have to miss class, definitly get the notes from someone in class because his tests are sometimes word for word from his notes. He's really funny and keeps it entertaining. This prof is really knowledgeable. His lectures are really interesting (most of the time), and like everyone has said, I've never even opened the book. It takes a little while to get used to his tests but it gets better. But don't EVER miss class, it's important to go because everything on exams are from lectures.

This is what a college class should be like. Serious, demanding, but entertaining. The professor knows how to teach. I looked forward to each class, and I left each class thinking about something new or seeing things in a new way. My other classes seem weak by comparison.

Professor Hendersen is a great guy. He's very knowledgeable of the topic and really wants his students to learn something in his class. His tests can be challenging, but he curves them. He gives you some interesting techniques on how to study, which can be useful in future classes.

Prof. Hendersen is really nice and very knowledgeable but his class was not a cake walk by any means. Don't buy the textbook, anything he ever tests will be exactly what he covers in class, and if the amount of material overwhelms you then use his TA! Your grade is based off of three tests and a final exam, and he uses a helpful curving scale!

His tests are almost all hypothetical questions so make sure to write down the examples he gives you when taking notes. Tests can be difficult. The entire class is lecture. There are only 3 exams and they are heavily based on a lot of the examples that he talks about in class. If you skip class, it is likely that you will not do well. The first exam I did not do well on, but from that one, my other two exam grades did improve. You just need to find a good way to study. Notecards helped.

Hardest class I've ever taken but it's the class I've learned the most in. 3 exams plus a final, along with 5 enrichment activities. If your final exam grade is better than your overall grade, you earn the exam grade as your final grade. Lectures are interesting but you have to stay on top of them and take detailed notes. Very knowledgeable prof.

Really good teacher. Take notes because that is what the tests are based on. Make sure to do well on the tests - they basically make up your grade. Almost no homework except a paper or 2.

He's really cool, kind of cheesy, but in a cute old man way. Dr. Henderson is very smart when it comes to his "outline of concepts" that you learn over the course you're enrolled in. He just wants you to skim the book for background, but I still haven't cracked that book open. LOL. Look for a serious study buddy to bounce the examples and concepts.

Very mellow and intellectual man. Can be interactive during class. Provides you with an outline of what you'll cover for each exam. Take note of the examples of the concepts he gives. Encourages office hours, emails, etc. Tests are made to make you think. Do the studies, show up to class, and write down those examples and you'll do fine!

He's the head of the psychology department, so he has very high expectations for his students. You could study all night for his exams and get a C. He does grade on a slight curve. You have to participate in studies/write 1 paper. His lectures are amazing though, i have learned so much in that class. Read the textbook to pass the class!

One of the best profs I've ever had. He's funny and engaging. If you attend class and take notes, the class is easy to pass. Only 3 exams which he weights in your favor (32-40/40 A). He does a ton to help his students out, I seriously love him!

Professor Hendersen is great! He really knows his stuff and teaches the material well. Very helpful and always available during office hours for questions or concerns at your convenience.

I honestly enjoyed Professor Hendersen's class. There are 3 tests and those are basically your only grades, along with the final. The tests are tough, especially the 1st one, but don't let that scare you away because you really do learn a lot in this class and if you study, read the textbook, and ALWAYS attend class, you'll do fine.

Lectures are entertaining but the test are hard. Go to class he covers a lot in lectures. The outlines he post really help with the exams. You don't get homework only 3 exams and a final.

He gives good lectures, if you pay attention and take notes during lecture you will do well since most of his test questions come from what he says in class. He makes it easy to either get time or talk with him or his teachers assistant if you ever need any help. Overall, a good professor.

Hes a great professor and is really good at explaining the material but the lectures were always long and in order to pass the exams you had to pay attention to everything. Your grade depends only on 3 exams and other mandatory activities. Theres never any homework just reading that is necessary to do well in the course.

He is a great professor, as long as you read the book and take good notes you will be just fine. Tests are easy and follows the outline to a tee. Great prof!!!

He is a very helpful professor if you email or meet with him about questions that you have you'll be fine. tests have examples that are in the book or similar to ones he says in lecture. PSY 101 is a tough class with any prof you just have to do the work.
