I loved his class. He is so funny! I am surprised he does not have more ratings. He's really easy. All you have to do is make sure you take the notes he gives you so be sure to come into class or you'll fall behind. You don't really need the book. He gives out power point presentations with all the information needed. He's fantastic, take him!

his class is really easy! all you have to do is be there every time. he gives powerpoints so no need for a book. as long as you study his notes his class is easy. he also reviews before tests are given. mostly multiply choice! TAKE HIM! he is also very very funny

Hes a very easy teacher. You just need to go to class take notes (have an extra pen because too many notes) but thats all youll need to pass your tests, all the anwsers are in your notes an he will tell you which is the anwser. Hes also very funny. Youll enjoy his class! Hes an easy A.

Very good teacher and He is easy too. You review before every test or the day before so you should know exactly whats on the test. You do not need your book but it helps if you need extra info on papers but you should be good with your notes. Hes easy, helpful and funny. Take him and you wont regret it.

He is the best teacher! I learned a lot from his class. Before, i found geography boring, but with him its so interesting. He makes his class funny by making jokes. his test are easy you just have to memorize some maps ( Very important) and review your notes. A 4 hrs class with him will feel like 1 hr :D i recommend him! Best, and greatest teacher!

Very wonderful professor! Basically we took copious notes, reviewed for tests, and listen to Professor Herbert's interesting and funny stories of his family. I highly recommend him for anyone who wants a fun class!

Mr. Herbert is such a funny professor and very intelligent also. He likes to joke around a bit in class to liven us up. There's no way you can fail his class. He covers all the material that will be on the test. Attendance is a must! There's a lot of note taking in this class, so study them! Make sure you do your writing assignments.

The class is an easy A. He goes over the test material thoroughly so there is no excuse for not getting a good grade. Herbert jokes around a lot so the class goes by quickly, overall a fun and easy class, i highly recommend.

I love his class! History is not my fav subject but he makes it interesting and easy to understand. We take A LOT of notes. But everything on the notes has the answers to the test! The book is not required unless you're absent then you need it! He's very funny which makes the class not boring and interesting :) I recommend this class to everyone.

He's funny, he always jokes about his life and if it sounds offensive he apologizes lol. Very laid-back, really into the subject. He uses power points and tells you exactly whats on the test. Mr. Herbert was my favorite teacher last semester! Made me look forward to being in class every other day, which is really rare, read ur notes before the test and you'll be straighter than Ricky Martin in 09. if u miss, u'll miss notes and ultimately answers on the test. Choose ur absent days wisely or just make sure ur friends txt u the notes.

Just take good clear notes, fill out his super helpful study guide, and you're good. I recommend to make index cards, lots of definitions. It's a class you will never get tired of, he makes it a good environment because he never shuts up about his life and he will put you in a good mood. Power point notes, super easy and fun class.

If you show up every day not only will you get extra credit for having perfect attendance, but it also means you will have all the notes and they are crucial for doing good on the tests.

Note taking for his class is essential! He makes class entertaining and he has a sense of humor. Look forward to 4 essays, 5 tests. Do the extra credit because it'll help a lot and having perfect attendance will give you extra cred as well. His grading is very fair, I would take him again!

You don't need the textbook since the content underlined in his power points are on the tests. But if you're the person who misses class a lot, you'll miss the notes and have to basically wing it with your own notes. He gives you study guides for your notes but his notes are better. Mr. Herbert is a New York native and Army veteran. He's hilarious and teaches History with great enthusiasm! I enjoyed his lectures and PowerPoint presentations, because it helped me while taking notes in class. I'd definitely take another class of his!

BEST TEACHER EVER !

Mr. Herbert is a funny professor that also teaches well. I didn't use the book at all and easily passed the class with an A. He talks about his family a lot so if you're not into that then look elsewhere, but other than that he's pretty good. Your grade depends a lot on tests though so make sure to do the study guides.

He is an amazing teacher that really cares about you passing class, he gives you many extra opportunities sometimes . His jokes & stories make class super fun. Textbook not really needed, just good notes from the powerpoints. What was going to be on the test he made it easy for you by underlining it in his powerpoints &reviewed before each test.

I really enjoyed his class. His stories are really funny and his class is really straightforward. I didn't buy the book and I had over 100%. 10/10 recommend.

He's super chill. Don't be rude or walk out during movies. Take notes you just memorize them. Doesn't cancel class much but the class was easy.

Mr. Herberts class in the winter was great because we just took notes in class but he always made his lectures funny. A few writing assignments for homework. Pay attention and study and you will pass his class.

Took a the winter class, it is extremely easy, few writing assingments, no need to purchase the book, however there is a lot of note taking, but tests are based on the notes, test are very easy as well, I highly recommend this class.

Mr. Herbert makes boring history interesting. He does get off subject a lot but I prefer that over a professor just lecturing for an hour straight. All you have to do is show up people. One of the best teachers on campus, it's just impossible to fail his class. Tests are extremely easy, he's laid back, gives study guides, and gives extra credit opportunities. He makes lectures fun, though can get side tracked. Attendance matters, as tests are power-point based and are multiple choice answers. You DON'T need the book by the way.

Makes class entertaining. Makes Power Points easy to understand. Tell us what is needed to be written down and what will be on the test. If said it's on the test MEMORIZE IT. Summer class was about 3-4 writing assignments, easy to do, and one of the assignment is extra credit. Its an easy A, especially for someone who doesn't enjoy the subject.

If you miss class you will miss info that will be on the test! easy A but i missed a few classes! everything you need to know for exams are on the slides he shows during class.

It wasnt a difficult course. Herbert is a great Professor in my opinion. He cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. He will call you out in front of everyone if you dont do the easy homework assignments or if you are on your phone. He will drop your grade if you miss a lot of class. Show up, do the easy little assignments and pass.

Mr. Herbert is a really good and easy teacher. He gives you a study guide with the material that will be covered in the test, it is up to you if you don't want to study. Also, be prepared to write a lot, he provides you the notes for the study guide. No homework, and only 4 tests. there are 3 writing assignments and extracredit assignments.

Mr. Herbert is a good profesor, gives many details on each topics especially on topics on the World war 1 and 2 and the Vietnam war(he is a Veteran). he goes out of topic sometimes but very worthy professor, you only need the notes to study for the test. I do Recommend to take him.

I took his class during the Winter semester for history 121. He is a great professor and he also knows how to make a lecture fun.

Mr. Herbert was literally one of the best professors I've had. Even though he would go off topic a lot, you still learned from his class. His tests are literally based off the slides and he lets you use notes on some tests. Don't listen to those that didn't like his class. He also makes a ton of funny jokes.

Excellent professor. Took him in the fall of 2022, he's quite an old professor and spring 2023 is going to be his last year before retirement. Absolute gem of a professor and one of a kind. He knows how to make his class entertaining and makes his lectures easy to pick up. Attendance is mandatory and he gives a few extra credit opportunities.

Mr Herbert is one of my favorite teachers. He lectures a lot but you only need to copy the bolded text. He has 3 tests and the final and for most of them you can use your notes. He often goes off topic about his family but we get through the curriculum in time. After I took this class I now know more about this mans' family than history.

Mr Hebert was the one class I actually looked forward to. Talked so much about his family, the course should've been Fam120. Even though I got a C, which was my fault, his class was still easy and simple. Made history an interesting topic. Sad to know he's retiring next year. He was a cool professor talked a bit to much of his family but it was funny stories that made everyone chuckle or smile. He did like to tease people but in a funny way. Just do your work and you'll pass the class with ease he sometime let's you use your notes for quiz.

This was one of the best history classes I've taken, it was easy and fun, and Mr. Herbert had a lot of knowledge and answers for everybody.

Loved going to Professor Hebert's class this semester. I especially enjoyed listening to his lectures and stories about his past. His class is very easy as long as you show up and study his notes.

10/10 amazing teacher, great lectures, gets a little off-topic, but you learn alot you have very few assignments, and he provides extra credit, attendance is important and counts towards your grade.

Took class spring 23 amazing teacher often talked about all thing family and his experience he grew up along the history timeline cool stories. He gives 3 total writing assignments but no HW. Keep up with notes and you'll have all the answers to writing assign. And Tests may be open book or reviewed in class before test date. 10/10 class.
