If you take accounting, of course you have to have a sense of logics and basic algebraic skill. Houskeeper condenses the lengthy information in the text book into cut and clear sections with vivid scenarios as examples to lead to the main points of his lectures. Very helpful professor. Do the blackboard problems because that's what you're mostly tested on. I got 100% on my first midterm(so did half the class), 95% on the second midterm, and 100% on the final. It's not hard if you pay attention. He does a couple problems out of the textbook during class, but you don't really need it that much.

This professor was amazing. I ended up getting 100% on the first test and all i used to sutdy was the blackboard problems. If you do bad, its your own fault. He gives you the exam weeks before and you basically have to memorize how to get the answers. NO BOOK NEEDED. I borrowed my roomates book a max of 3 times. accnting sucks, but w him its great!

Awesome teacher. Makes accounting very clear and simple to understand. You MUST go to class. Don't need the book, just go to class and study blackboard problems. He is very helpful if you are lost. Just try to keep up during lecture.

I was failing this class going into the final, but I ended up passing b/c it was easier than the midterm. Houskeeper is a cool guy and helped me out tremendously during office hours. If you take him, just make sure you study the blackboard problems and GO to class. Phew, I'm glad I'm done with accounting!

This guy knows his stuff. If you study for the tests and quizes you'll do fine. His teaching makes it really easy. Class isn't mandatory but it definitely helps to go. Every point counts in this class but he drops the lowest quiz score. There is 2 tests and like 7 or 8 quizes. Take this teacher!

He rambles on, rarely uses book, had no idea what he was talking about. Tests are do not look exactly like blackboard problems. He abbreviates most of the words so you dont know what they mean.

He is a great teacher! Although the material is not that exciting, he makes up for that. He is really nice, approachable, and cracks jokes every so often. If you go to class and do the blackboard problems, the quizzes and tests will not be too hard. Good luck and if you can take Houskeeper!!!

This guy is so easy. Don't buy the book even tho he says buy it. Just study the blackboard problems and go over the examples from class and you should get an A. If you can't get an A or B in this class then you are an idiot. Hands down easiest accounting teacher at state.

I didnt learn a thing in this class. All you have to know is "how" to do the problem, not what it means. I cant tell you a single thing I learned, but managed to ace every test and got a solid A in the class. DONT BUY THE BOOK!!

He teaches at UCSD too. This class is very straight forward. Memorize how to do the homework problems and you should get an A or a B. It might be difficult to get an A because there is only 10 problems on the test, and if you miss two that is an 80%. Super nice guy. Cares a lot about his students and what they learn.

He uses too many acronyms, doest explain what he is teaching, and is super annoying in the way that he teaches. I would NOT recommend taking hi. He's boring and makes class miserable.
