Quite the accentric character he is. Extremely cool, knowledgeable, professor. Exams are hard only if you don't read the book, otherwise fair and easy. Asignments are extremely easy, gives 100 points just for being in class. Makes me want be an architecture even more. Highly recommend.
Good Class! Easy assignments that get all the points if they look good and dont go over to two pages. Read the book and go to class and you will be fine!
Worst class i've ever taken. He teaches the pictures from your text book, but doesn't actually teach the material. You basically read 50 pg. chapters and teach yourself the material. Hudson claims to not have office hours?? Nice teacher- Assignments are easy A's. Besides this, a hard class!
This class is geared toward the student that wants to to into Architecture, if you dont want to go to that, it may be a little boring I fell asleep in class atleast once a week and still got an A. Tests are very weird. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING HE SAYS talk to him he is very night and very understanding

just go to class and take notes and youll pass teh tests... sometimes some of the questions are random, but it is an easy A. just do what you need to. hes really easy going and funny in a cheesey way. but he liked my laugh.
This class is very easy if you do your homework and arent an idiot. Studying the night before the test will suffice. He is very easy to understand and exlplains the material very well. Sit up front and stay awake and you will have no problems passing the class with an easy A. very recommendable.
Very easy. I never go to class and I have an A. But if you do this you have to study the book. Assignments are guaranteed 100%+EC if it looks good and is no more than 1 page. Take it if you like architecture & pick his brain 1-1, quite the character. Class=boring, but learn a lot about architecture.
good class easy teacher just do the assignments and take notes in class and you should be fine. can be boring if you arent into architecture. but its not a bad class. he loved my laugh.
Easy class. 6 assignments that are guaranteed 100% as long as you hand it in and its LESS than one page. 3 tests, hard if u don't study. He takes attendance and takes off points if you don't go to class, but its not bad. Boring if yur not into architecture, but its easy.
The class is SUPER easy. As long as you turn in the assignments, you get full credit. And the tests, well I barely studied and I still got A's. I WAS in class most of the time though.
Easy to get an A in as long as you read the book. It's also an interesting class as long as you like architecture- if not it might be somewhat boring. He's funny though, so that keeps class interesting.
This guy just flat out rocks. He's easily the most entertaining teacher I've had yet. Brings all sorts of props to class and asks for a lot of volunteers. The class is a breeze as well.
fun teacher, makes you actually want to go to class, the class made me to change my major, tests are long but really easy, even let us have a take home test, have 6 small papers also. I totally recomend this class!
Really nice professor and he is really funny. I thought the class was boring but I am not really interested in Architecture. Easy class to get an A in.
excellent teacher and a fun class
He was very attentive and fun to listen to. You can just tell he really cares about his students which makes it easy to learn.
Very nice, easy, and entertaining, show up and do elementary assignments and get an A. He tends to get off subject and tries to relate everything in the world to architecture. His skill as an architect, well you can judge that by his house he shows at the end of the semester. I would recommend.
really into his profession, tehrefore he knows alot about the subject, and is willing to help you understand it. Energetic, funny, and enthusiastic about his work.
Very funny, very weird. Tests are 100 questions multiple choice. Take notes and review them before the test. 6 homework assignments, all very easy. Attendance is critical!
Awesome professor!!! Exciting and entertaining, willing to help you understand if you're inerested. He loves architecture; so, inturn you'll get a lot from the class. Easy/fun assignments.
BEWARE...its an easy class but you need a 93% to get an A. He is an OK teacher but not that great. He is a phony architect and loves to hear himself talk. Take the course if you are really into architecture but do not take it if you are looking for an easy elective.
awesome teacher and he makes the class interesting. If you take good notes on his lectures and study them you will get an A. 6 projects total each worth 50 pts each one takes about a half an hour (he has a 1 pg MAX on each)He puts diagrams on his exams so drawing the diagrams in your notes to study will help. Enjoy the class it is worth your time.
Extremely easy. There are 6 paper assignments (1 page each) and if you turn them in on time and do what he asks you get full credit. There are 3 tests, one a take home and all multiple choice. The final is not cumulative. He was funny and interesting and enjoys what he is teaching. He does take attendance.
Easy class as long as you show up and take good notes...Test is straight out of book..one take home exam...6 easy assignments that as long as you try you get full credit
I think he is CRAZY! but he is nice and funny. Go to class, take notes, study, and you'll do fine. Projects are super easy.
Amazing teacher! great guy. go to class, take notes, easy projects - no reason not to pass with flying colors. he's really helpful, and will even assist you with your portfolio
One of my personal favorite professors. TAke him.. He is funny and the class is enjoyable.
He is funny....his way of teaching is fun but you really gotta study for his exams to get a good grade.
Great person and teacher. Really helps you learn. I wish he could teach estrada how to teach she really needs it BAD. Great job really knows his stuff.
This class was very easy. He definitely knows how to teach and has and extreme amount of knowledge in his field. There are 6 assignments and 3 exams. The assignments are very easy and can be done in about 30 minutes each. The tests are also easy. Just study a little bit. I recommend taking the class with a couple friends. I would take it again!
Great teacher and simple class.
This is an easy course if you are looking for an easy historical perspective. However, I took this class at 8 in the morning and dreaded every moment of it because the subject did not interest me at all, especially that early in the morning. If you are not an architecture major, this class may be a bore.
This class is so easy...I never opened my book. His lectures are boring sometimes, but usually he is engaged with the class. He does a few cool experiments. The papers are very easy to do. The tests are pretty easy if you pay attention in class and take halfway decent notes. Video days are the best because you can go to sleep if the room is dark!
My class this semester was really early in the morning but it was still really fun because Mr. Hudson is really energetic and interesting to listen to. The class assignments are supremely easy and the tests are not bad. Fun & easy class!
amazing class and professor! If you're an Arch major, you'll learn a lot and enjoy it..he knows his stuff and keeps it interesting. A bit eccentric, but he wants you to learn about and appreciate the world around you. Easy assigments and exams; class attendence is mandatory though.
Subjects are always interesting. Hudson is quite entertaining and have a good sense of humor
Great teacher! He explains every assignment well and covers all material on the tests. He even does test reviews. He makes it very interesting and uses props and such to keep your attention. Would recommend to non-architecture students and for Architecture majors, this class is a must!!! I HIGHLY recommend Professor Hudson.
Recommend you take him...seriously! you will find yourself spotting things outside the class room that involves architecture! He's funny...i took his 8am class and i never fell asleep once...Tests come str8 from review. word from word! I love this class and im a Business student
This class will boost your GPA. You take 3 exams which are all 100 questions in length. The review sheets are so helpful i finished most of the exams in less than 20 minutes and got an A on every one of them. Just make sure you dont skip class often... not because you will miss anything but because attendance can really effect your final grade.
Like stated before, 3 exams.. all information needed is given on review sheets..so as long as you complete and study them.. you are set for the test! Attendance is mandatory.. but the class isn't too long or boring. Easy!
Best professor at USF very interesting and funny. Everyone should take this class, its a lot of fun and pretty easy.
He's so interesting and funny. I love going to class, and it's at 8 in the morning! He makes it interesting and engaging even though it's so early. There are 3 exams (2 and 1 final) and all the information is given in class. If you show up to class, you'll get an A on every test.
He was an interesting teacher. I had an 8am class with him and it wasn't all that horrible even though it was early. As long as you go to class, listen, and take acceptable notes, you will easily ace the exams. (even if you just study his study sheets before the tests you will get A's) Take his class. Worth it.
Awesome teacher, highly recommended! Made class interesting and learned a lot. Exams are easy and are completely based off of study guides. Shows interesting videos and is funny.
Easy gives study guides with all the information you need to know for the test. Funny and loves what he teaches.
brilliant man, amazing professor.
Great teacher who loves what he does. Classes are always interesting and Hudson is a really quirky guy. He makes the class very easy, but you do have to study!
Greatest professor on this campus! If more teachers were like him USF would be amazing! He is truly cognoscenti and loves what he does! Brilliance! Only person that didn't like this class was david welsh and that is because he failed this class....as if that is even possible.
Excellent Professor who loves what he does and it shows! Must attend class and take good notes to excel in this class. All assignments were given full credit if turned in on time. Great class would definitely recommend!
He is a fun professor!! Most of his lectures consist of looking at pictures and watching movies. There are 6 assignments that you have to complete but they are pretty easy!! If you know everything on the study guides then you won't have a problem passing the test...but you MUST study! Attendance will affect your grade!
He reminds me of Albert Einstein by looks, Lol. He's really quirky and super cool. Loves what he does and the way he connects everything in conversation is so cool. Knowledgeable of so much, and is all about cognisenti " in the know " you'll learn that on the first day. I love the fact that he gave out study guide. First test coming soon.
I went into this class not sure if I wanted to fully commit to an architecture major and wanted to take the class to see how I may like it. It may just be the professor, but I must say he convinced me. He's a good teacher and the class isn't very difficult. Even if you aren't to into architecture it is an interesting and fun class.
Easiest class I took this semester. He is a bit weird but funny. It is extremely hard not to enjoy the class. He loves to tell stories. Just study the study guide he gives and you will make an A+ in the class.
I absolutely loved this class! I took it looking for an easy FKL, and it turned out to be perfect. My class was early, but it consisted of looking at pictures of buildings and watching movies. 6 hw assignments, all mostly 1 page only. Sometimes with pictures. Tests arent bad if you use a study guide or online flash cards. Tests from there
Mr. Hudson was professional and informative. He likes the older and historical architecture in the city. If you want to know how to actually build something, he is your professor.
Dr. Hudson is a funny old man who knows his stuff. He knows that most people in the class just want to fulfill a humanities credit. Lectures can get a little boring, and he doesn't really tell you when the homework is due so check the syllabus. Also, don't buy the pro copy packet, you don't need it. Super easy, he gives study guides for tests too.
The most amazing professor. He's so smart and he knows it, but he wants you to know as much as he does. It's alot of information, but he makes you want to learn. He LOVES architecture, it's contagious. Hes amazing, you're missing out if you dont take a class with him!!
TEXTBOOK USELESS. But the class is really simple and interesting. He provided any assistance you needed and he was a goofy but funny guy. Makes the class interesting if you attend it. The tests are basically the study guide and are online so it is easy to study for.
This was seriously the stupidest class I have taken in college so far. Professor Hudson rambles on the entire class, makes no sense, and makes it incredibly hard to stay awake at 8am. Only way to pass test is to use his study guides, which he doesn't teach about at all. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
I loved Hudson. He's eccentric and rambles a lot but this class is so stupid easy that it doesn't even matter. The assignments are literally paragraphs with pictures filling the rest of the page, and every answer to the tests are on the study guides. Tests are online. If you get less than an A in this class you should drop out.
Doctor Hudson is amazing! He is a cute old man who rambles in class about silly things. He keeps the class interesting. The assignments are literally one paragraph and the rest are pictures. His exams are online and he gives you the answers on the study guide. There is no way you could fail this course with this teacher.
Early class but very good professor. Enthusiastic about the subject and gives study guides to all three of his online tests. Just go to lecture and write down what he tells you too and you'll be just fine
I took Professor Hudson first online class for ARC 2211 and I learned a lot from the modules and readings. The assignments make you think and look at architecture differently for some one who has no experience in architecture. I needed one more humanities and I love art so I took this class and I learned a lot.
This class is an easy 'A' as long as you turn in all assignments (which are super simple) and do your best on tests. However, there is a ton of boring reading you need to do in order to do good on those tests. Overall, the course is easy but it may be a lot more enjoyable when taken in person.
its a pretty easy class, you have to go out to do the assignments but that's what he wants. exams can be tough but I thought there was enough time and not so bad if you do the readings. the rest of the class is veryyy easy
The class itself is not tough if you read. TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING NO MATTER HOW INSIGNIFICANT IT SEEMS. The tests can be tough because he didn't provide study guides and the things that don't seem important are on the exams. None of the assignments are too hard and the lectures can be long and boring, but get through them or you won't pass.
Professor Hudson is a great teacher. I had his class at 8 a.m., so I expected a boring lecture. Instead, he comes into class excited and ready to begin the day. He goes through a slideshow for mostly every class, but his upbeat personality saves it. He's always willing to answer questions and gives lots of real-world experience. I recommend.
Pretty straightforward. Professor Hudson wants you to do well and actually learn a little bit about architecture. Very helpful and an easy grader. Just follow his notes, most of the stuff on the exam comes from his notes.
Professor Hudson loves architecture so much that you feel like you want to switch your major. Attendance is mandatory, but you could always ask your friend to sign your name for you. Grading is based on six assignments and three online exams. Assignments are super easy and he gives you a full score for just submitting the assignment.
Took his ARC class online. Really straightforward. Just put minimal effort into assignment and you'll get full credit. Tests are auto graded so thats easy enough. Not much to say other than this but if you need Intro to architecture or an elective take this class!
Great guy, really passionate about architecture. I learned a lot of interesting things, and the tests are easy as hell. (They're online) Attendance counts though, so don't sign up for an 8 AM.
Professor Hudson is awesome. He is funny, engaging, and truly passionate about architecture. This was the best class I have taken at the university so far and I highly recommend it. It is fun and not hard to get an A as long as you show up to class and do all the work. Great class and I would definitely take it again.
Prof Hudson loves to teach and loves architecture; a perfect combination. Take notes and pay attention and you will pass with flying colors. The exam is on-line and available from the start of the class so, read it through first to determine what you already know. All answers are found in either the study guides or lectures. If in doubt, ask him.
The course was interesting, but the way he refers to the class as "wanna-be architects" is pretty annoying to hear. Some of us are in class for insight and others may even surpass his level of dedication. There are many interesting local architects he could refer to other than the poster ones. Also should tell LESS cultural jokes, they're Not good
Tests are a little tough but if you listen to the lectures and take notes you'll do fine. Weekly assignments/discussions are very easy and there is no word-requirement. Pretty much if you turn something in you receive full credit.
Mr. Hudson is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and the industry as a whole. He knows how to make anything interesting. I've taken him for multiple classes and I've never been disappointed. As long as you care, pay attention and participate you will get a good grade.
Professor Hudson is amazing. He is a cute little old man who is passionate about architecture and that passion is contagious to his students. Take him, you won't regret it.
The online class was easy but tests were tricky. He did not give you a study guide so you would never know if just reading the slides was enough. The textbook should be analyzed too.
I took this class online, but he seems like a very nice guy. Lectures were easy to understand, as were the readings. Each week we had a project due but they were relatively easy. Tests were a little harder, but as long as you take notes of important concepts, architects, and buildings and have the book handy, an A is perfectly achievable
Robert Hudson is a great professor, very positive and inspiring in his appreciation of architecture. Left his class feeling eager to explore architecture. Perfect course to fulfill Degreeworks requirement.
I took the online class, it was super easy! Hudson seems like a great guy and everything in the course is well organized. You have weekly discussions and then 3 major tests that are very easy if you listen to the lectures he uploads and do the reading he assigns. He is a very easy grader too. Great class!
Robert Hudson is a great professor. His passion for his work and teaching is infectious. If you buy the textbook, study as you're supposed to and apply yourself, you will have the easiest time earning an A and also leave with lots of useful knowledge regardless of your major. Would have achieved an A but I erroneously chose not to do an assignment.
Wonderful teacher. Easy A if you turn in all of your assignments and show interest. Online course didn't have many assignments and they were all explained very well.
Great teacher! Funny, keeps class interesting and understands most students aren't majoring in architecture. Go to class and turn in assignments easy A and enjoyable class.
This professor is so far the worst I have had. He is very full of himself and thinks architects are above all. He is very condescending if you try to reach out to him, so I suggest steering clear if you can. The class is very easy but kind of a waste of time. Tests are on specific insignificant details rather than large concepts.
TAKE THIS CLASS. The easiest online class I have ever taken. I spend 5-15 minutes on the discussions/assignments each week. The only thing that takes "time" if you could call it that is looking up the answers to the 100 question tests. But every answer is somewhere on google, it only takes a little while because of how many questions there are.
I just finished ARC2211 with professor Hudson. He is an awesome professor and makes lectures as interesting as possible. There are six one page assignments, which make up 60% of your grade. These assignments are a guaranteed 100 if you turn them in. Additionally, participation is 10% of the grade.
This class was the easiest class I've ever taken. There's only one assignment each week (either a short discussion or a one pager), and three tests total. The lecture videos are mostly under 30-40 minutes, and are interesting. I put that I used a textbook, but I've only read it a couple of times despite reading pages per module. I didn't need it.
SO EASY. He is super caring and only 1 assignment per week. Don't buy the book wasted my time purchasing it. Would definitely take him again if I could.
This class was very easy. I was able to find the textbook online as a pdf but I never used it. One assignment per week:either a small assignment or discussion, always very easy. Listen to the lectures every week. I did not like were the 3 major tests. 100 questions in 75 minutes I almost never finished them since the time went by so fast be careful
Only 1 (fairly easy) assignment per week and 3 exams. Not too bad, but can be pretty boring if you aren't interested in architecture. Not a fan of the lectures.
Easy, fun straightforward. Exams easy, on canvas. Easy A if you do the assignments (1 a week). Assignments are engaging and not boring. Hudson is the Bob Ross of Architecture. Take him, he is a great professor and easy to make good grades.
14 total assignments including exams, Professor is clearly very passionate about the subject, not a lot of work and was very interesting for an elective.
Such a nice professor, he is so passionate about architecture it totally uplifts the mood of the class. There was a weekly assignment or discussion post, and 3 total tests, and if you did every assignment on time then you'll get an easy A. Would totally recommend taking this course
Great Professor!! Very caring and understanding especially sense I am new to architecture. Really wanted to take this course as an elective and enjoyed it a lot!! He is very kind and his classes are not difficult. Very difficult major I would think twice before getting into this!
Super easy class. Three tests, all easy, 100 questions each, and directly from online lectures/textbook. Barely any assignments like one every two weeks, but they're incredibly easy. Kind of a boring class, the professor seems like a cool guy though, so it might have been more fun in person.
You don't need to buy the textbook. One of the easiest classes I've taken. He is really understanding and caring. Assignments all took me under an hour each, super simple and self explanatory.
You can pass this class in your sleep - tests are a little difficult but just read and you'll be fine. Extremely laid back and caring, if you can get him as a professor, do it.
Professor Hudson makes this class a breeze. With just one engaging assignment per week and 3 easy exams, it's an ideal elective. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep. Highly recommend taking this course if you're interested in architecture.
Professor Hudson made one of the best and most clear online courses I have ever taken. There was one assignment a week and three online easy exams. The weekly assignments/discussions were actually interesting and his online lectures were simple and captivating.
We had one weekly online assignment and three tests throughout the entire course. Each assignment was pretty straightforward and so were the tests. Great professor, amazing course, definitely take it if you're into architecture!
Dr. Hudson made architecture engaging even if it's not your thing. His lectures were clear, simple, and sometimes funny. There's one weekly assignment and three easy tests, so it doesn't consume a lot of your time. Great professor and also a skilled artist.
