Has a bit of a stuttering problem. Likes to use real world examples of his work as a psychologist in class. Kind of stuck on himself, but not in a bad way. The work consisted of two take-home tests, so it was pretty easy. You could do worse.

Good teacher. Makes class fun. No tests, no quizes, just homework from each chapter. Lots of classwork (such as Myers-Briggs Personality test). Recommend Highly.

I've taken him twice. He's really easy as long as you do his work. It's a lot of writing but nothing too hard. He's very stuck on himself but I thought it was funny. Good guy. Likes to brag about his 30 year old wife. (I think he's like 60)

I had Dr. Ivy for Psychology and found him hilarious. I thought he was one of the best teachers I had ever had. His tests are very in depth but as long as you read the material and take good notes you won't have a problem. I am taking him again over the summer for SOP1002.

Dr. Ivy is a GREAT teacher! I took him for 3 different psychology classes and made A's in all three. I looked forward to and LOVED going to his classes! Easy A! Doc is so funny. He has an experience to tell for everything the book covers. He is very interesting and funny. Hes crazy and gets distracted easily-but its worth it. Sticks 2 syllabus. Only 2 take home exams & 10 easy activities. Tests are long and take time, but if you dont like in-class tests, this is the class 4 u! Highly Recommended!

Prof. Ivy enjoys his work. Tells you about his work every class, repeats himself, powerpoints, activities and 1 take home test, mult choice. Not interesting, but easy. Attendance is Mandatory-you have to be on time and he takes the attendance at end of class!! If you leave early -counted as absent- NOT FAIR!!

Unique teaching style, the majority of his class is based off case studies and real life situations his students may encounter in the Psych and health professions. Coursework and take-home exam are EASY however attendance and punctuality is mandatory. He makes class fun and encourages you to learn and further your education. I would take him again!

He has an interesting teaching style consists of many anecdotes from his experiences with patients. He lets you know exactly what questions are going to be on the tests. All you have to do is look for the answers in the book and study them. He also has my class do one presentation and a paper on the topic. Very easy and fun class.

Dr. Ivy is a great teacher, no doubt about it. He discusses a lot of his personal stories, which I find very interesting because psychology is my field of study. He does talk a lot. But if you keep up on your studies, and get involved with class discussions, you will be fine.

As someone who will be going into the field of psychology, I find Dr. Ivy's class very uninformative. We often run out of time (in a 4 hour class) because he will continuously talk about stories from past experiences. They're interesting, but very rarely does he tie them into the information. Easy if you're looking for an A, but lacking substance.

Your entire grade consists of 2 tests (which he gives you the parameters of what to expect on each question), PPT presentation, and summary/essay of your PPT. Very easy class! Dr. Ivy's class was an easy A. I took a hybrid class. We had two exams that didn't weigh much for our overall score. On top of that he told us exactly what was going to be on the test. He rambles a bit, but tells interesting stories. I'd definitely take him again.

Dr. Ivy's class was not only fun, but super informative. He gets side tracked on stories quite a bit, but they always have relevance to the topic and are always highly entertaining. You'll have a presentation and several assignments, but he'll work with you if you need help. The mid-term and final are pretty easy too as he provides a study guide.

I took Dr. Ivy for a DEP2004 hybrid class. He said the textbook was necessary but we never opened it. He tells lots of stories and he is absolutely hilarious. 4 assignments are due throughout the semester, all of which are submitted through BlackBoard at home. They are all pretty easy and he is a very lenient grader. Loved his personality!

Amazing instructor! Took him for General Psychology and he is very understanding with grading and will answer any questions no matter what time of the day. Book wasn't mandatory but helped. Expected to be in class as there were graded "surprise activities" and you cant make those up if you miss class.

This professor is great!! Show up and participate is all you need to do. Had some online quizzes and two online tests that we very well prepares you for! You literally have to try not to pass, to not pass his class. I'm taking him next semester for Psychology, he has the same grade criteria and teaching method for both.

I took the hybrid class with Ivy, he gave us 5 outside of class activities, 5 discussions, and 5 "surprise acts" to do in class. Some of the surprise acts are group projects. Ivy has ADHD, so he tends to go off on tangents sometimes, but NOTES ARE YOUR FRIEND. Pay attention if and when he tells you to write stuff down. It's exactly what you need.

Dr. Ivy was a great teacher. He only had about 15 assignments total and they are super easy. NOTES ARE YOUR FRIEND. As long as you show up to class and listen then you'll do great. Great personality, always has a story to tell.

If you want to learn psychology take this professor! Very entertaining, makes learning fun, and has the best stories. You do a in class activity every class thats easy, and then you have two assignments you do at home that are due the day of class 12am. There are two exams that you take at home and one he reviews before the exam.

Dr. Ivy can often get off topic in discussions but the stories he tells you will stick with you. Class will be almost always be fun and interesting in some way due to his teaching style. You will not be graded on many assignments but as long as you do them you will pass.

He's not bad. He knows exactly what he's talking about, just be patient and pay attention. Class is very easy to pass, Just show up and participate. Not many tests I believe there was about 3 or 4 the whole semester but you go over them before Very easy to get in contact with. you'll pass.

Dr. Ivy is seriously the best professor I have had. His lectures are informative, and he makes it almost impossible to fail. He lives for participation (especially if it is an online class with lecture) so make sure you have a mic or a way to speak. Great sense of humor, good material, and quick grading/responses.

I love Dr Ivy he is a good teacher I took him twice one for general psychology and the other one for human growth and development The classes are ran the exact same way Open book on exams AND ONLY TWO exams in his 7 weeks class. Ive taken this professor twice now his psy1012 class and dep2004. Both classes were easy to pass and he gives very thorough lectures and it helps you a lot throughout the course. Theres an outside class activity,in class activity , and a discussion post due every week by 11:59 pm when your class meets .loved his class and learned a lot ,reccomend!

Dr. Ivy was, bar far, the best professor I have ever had during my time at FSCJ. He is very funny, class was always interesting & it was a pleasure to learn from him. Just do your work and all will be well. Lectures are long, but useful and entertaining. If you participate in his class lecture and engage with him the time in lecture goes quickly. Notes are useful and tests are based on lectures mostly. It is very hard to fail this class.

Dr. Ivy has a very strong personality, and can come across as a bit gruff at first, but he's actually very passionate and funny. His lectures are interesting and he includes tons of real life stories to illustrate. He includes a study guide for each exam, and is an easy grader for written work.

We do use the textbook for assignments; however, his assignments are not super difficult and he gives you everything you need to succeed. Great class. Easy A if you show up and follow rubric. Weekly online class attendance mandatory. Dr. Ivy is funny and likes to hear from students. Cannot work ahead. 1 discussion post, and 2 other assignments due weekly. 2 tests. I would take this professor again.

Professor Ivy is a GREAT at his profession, Respects the students & is very open in conversations & provides great feedback. Prepares thoroughly before a quiz comes up, lectures are very interesting. For a class to be on a Saturday 9am-12 noon, it doesn't seem long at all because he, always have great relatable situations that you can use.

Dr. Ivy was a great professor always made class fun and enjoyable. He knew how to teach and keep the class interesting by involving real situations and letting us speak about our own experiences that also had to corollate with the lesson. If I could I would definitely take his class again :)

Dr. Ivy is a great professor. Most of the class time is spent on lecture and generally go over discussion posts or out of class activity completed prior to class, total of 5 discussion posts where you also respond to other students. 5 out of class activities and 5 in class activities. 2 Exams in the class. Very enjoyable class, would take again.

Loved Dr. Ivy, by far my favorite professor. His class was engaging and fun! All of my classmates felt the same way, somehow we felt like a big family by the end of the semester. Doc expects you to show up, participate and do your work, he even does a test review before the test which helped us immensely! Pick him for psychology!!!!!!

Highly recommend taking Dr. Ivy, he is amazing. You will not get bored in his class at all. He is very active and appreciates lively open communication in class. This was a hybrid attendance one day a week we met in class the remainder online.

I made the mistake of choosing the 90 minute class instead of the other options he had available considering his class was extremely interesting. His lectures came off his own experience in the field, if there would be one thing I'd change to the class it would have to be including more in-class group projects rather then in-class writing.

Hands down the best Professor here at fscj really funny tells the most interesting stories and easy going assignments this class is a great to take it during a 7 week course because of how well Ivy structures the class and some of the assignments are very easy to do highly recommended.
