I’m taking him for entr 3340 hybrid he is awesome and his lectures are very interesting successfully business man as well highly recommend
It can be an easy class as long as you are paying attention. Will ask questions through to class to make sure students are paying attention. Cameras are to be on. Test questions come from Assignments.
Attendance is a must, you must read a lot , all exams have quiz questions. Pop Quizes
I am close to graduating and I guess you can say I have senor-itis. I have no idea how this Professor did it to actually keep me engaged and intrigued in his class but he did. Very well rounded, versed, gives true meaning and real life experiences to the literature he teaches. TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT PURSUING YOUR OWN BUSINESS!
Great class & lectures! He adds his own real-world advice and experience to the lessons, emphasizing important points. Willing to work with you on assignments. As long as you attend class, pay attention and keep up with the reasonable amt. of homework you will do well in his class. If you plan on being a business owner you must take Prof. Katusak!
Absolutely loved the class and the professor. Professor Katusak really cares for his students. He is always there to listen if you ever encounter a problem and tries his best to come up with solutions! If you want to learn about business, take it from him. He is experienced and gives great explanations to the material. Flexible and very attentive!
If you're going to take ENTR 3340, take it with Professor Katusak! He really cares for his students and is always down for personal Zoom Meetings for any problem you encounter! There is a business plan as the final project, but he cuts it up throughout the semester and guides students by section. Taking my 3rd class with him next semester!
He is a great teacher. He makes the work load easy and understandable. He gives incentives for showing up on time like an answer to a quiz. He hates when you are goofing off in class like texting on your phone. He gives bonus points for participation in class. He gives bonus test points to answering questions in class.
Dr. Katusak cares for his students and does everything he can to help them succeed. He gives very good feedback about student projects and offers second chances if students mess up with their assignments. I also love how he's able to use his personal business experiences and connect to the class lecture. Definitely take him!
Mr.Katusak is an amazing professor who genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He'll take time to help you understand something, making sure we're all engaged into what is being lectured. Make sure you attend class; he does take attendance pretty seriously along with an everyday quiz in the beginning of each class.
Professor Katusak is by far my favorite professor. There really is no excuse not to pass this class. Homeworks are easy and should take no longer than an hour and a half weekly. Exams are straightforward and taken from book. Loads of extra credits are offered. Lectures are entertaining, with inputs from life experiences. Attendance is mandatory.
Amazing professor
He is alright. The homework is not hard but also the course is not hard so ya. He gives extra credit only when he wants to and you need to show up to class early to get answers to the weekly quizzes.
He is super moody and definitely will make up rules on the spot if he feels like it. He should not be lecturer since he always tells his classes to not follow any rules since he didn't and was still "mega" successful. A bit arrogant.
Recommend taking this class. You will really learn about business.
This professor is such an amazing professor. I recommend this class to anyone who wants to have a fun and enjoyable class environment. He doesn't just use textbook examples but also his own personal examples that help you understand the topics even more. For the first time homework was enjoyable and stress-free. He's amazing.
Professor Katusak is an amazing professor who clearly shows passion for the material he is teaching! He used lots of real world examples and held everyone in class accountable to pay attention in lecture. He also had LOTS of interesting personal stories related to the material being taught which I really appreciate. Would definitely take him again!
Great professor! Really passionate about his teachings and really encourages his students to participate!
Great Professor! He is really passionate about what he teaches and really encourages his students to participate throughout the lecture!
Professor Katusak was really great! I like how he teaches since he uses real-world examples and sometimes uses stuff that has happened to him and integrates it into the lecture. He may seem mean, but he's pretty sweet and considerate. I'm not sure what final grade is, but I'm really hoping it's an A so I put an A on my final grade haha. -YG
His classes where not just read from the power point, he would inspire you and make examples to relate to the power points.
Professor Katusak is a great professor. He uses his past experiences from his own business as examples during the lecture. His stories make the lectures fun and interesting. He would say that his favorite thing to do is to teach and you can tell he loves his job as a professor. I really recommend taking his class if you have the chance.
Professor Katusak is good when it comes to lecturing. He uses a lot of real-world scenarios. Easy A if consistent with homework assignments and study. Need the book in Pearson for homework. He goes over everything in the book in Pearson. Pretty easy class and fun. If he sees you are slacking in class, he will ask you questions.
Professor Katusak was a great professor, he was very intelligent and inspiring when it came to business. I really enjoyed listening how he created his business and how he started out. I would definitely take him again and I recommend him to anyone who has the chance to take him. There are 4 exams throughout the semester and weekly homework. J.G.
I took Professor Katusak for Mgmt 1301 and learning first hand from someone who started their own business and grew it to a multimillion dollar value made it such a great class. There are about 4 short assignments a week and 4 tests. The lectures are off the powerpoint with his own experience and stories to complement them. Great professor!
The class is not hard, there is only 4 exams and alot of homework.
Great professor. He is very knowledgeable and has past experience in owning and managing a business which helps when giving his lectures. He is very big on attendance and participation which also helps you in the long run. Would definitely take him again. H.R
He would talk about his experiences in the business world and give great advice to the class. He gave extra points to whoever participated in class and gave extra credit assignments. There would be a couple homework assignments per week which did not take long. Totally recommend taking his class! Y.S
It was a pretty great class, he also related content to real experiences/example. The class was always engaged, study, do the homework and do the extra credit case studies; you'll pass without a hitch. Time management is critical in this class. It was overall one of my easy classes this semester. Wish he was teaching it again next semester. J.V.
Awesome professor. He made his lectures extra engaging by providing his experiences and knowledge with the businesses he had owned in the past. He provides extra credit to those who participate often during his lectures. I would definitely take his class again. F.H.
The professor is always willing to help and challenges you. The class not only provided a comprehensive understanding of fundamental entrepreneurial principles but also offered practical insights into the intricacies of business planning, strategy development, and market analysis, which has further developed the growth of the business I'm starting.
I really liked his lectures, I really liked how he explained the course while comparing it with real life experiences.
Professor Katusak exemplifies excellence by skillfully combining personal experience with extensive knowledge. Notably, he surpasses conventional teaching methods and imparts valuable perspectives that extend beyond the classroom. His steadfast commitment to student achievement is unmistakable, he's aspiring to any business professional.
Mr. Katusak was consistently well-prepared and enthusiastic about teaching. One thing I particularly enjoyed was his ability to connect textbook concepts with real-life examples, going beyond mere textbook explanations. Mr. Katusak is an exceptional professor who ensures that students remain engaged by actively participating in class discussions.
I really enjoyed taking this class. His lectures are very entraining and informative, his lessons are put together. He makes is class very fun, he is always willing to help his students.
He is a mentor who brings the world of business to life through his wealth of practical knowledge. His commitment to student success, combined with his extensive entrepreneurial background, creates an unparalleled learning experience that prepares us for the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic field of business. I recommend taking him.
Professor Katusak was a great professor. His lectures were helpful for the material and he provided lots of extra credit opportunities both in class and through assignments! The homework is easy and there are 4 exams. Overall, great professor!
Professor Katusak is a great professor and gives great lectures. He also uses his real life experiences to help understand the material. He also provides extra credit in class through participation and with assignments as well. Great Professor overall! VM
Hybrid: Attendance is mandatory. Does attendance questions. One major project included a business plan and presentation. Exams were done through Zoom with camera and mics on. Assignments through McGraw-Hill Connect. Assignments every week that help you build your business plan. Exams are about 100 questions all from the Smart books/quizzes.
Attendance is mandatory by doing a very simple and short quiz at the beginning of the class. He reviews the questions if you get there 5 minutes before the class starts. There are 4 tests and group projects. He is very direct and straightforward with instructions.
Attendance is mandatory for class due to quizzes at the beginning of the class (If you get there 5 min. early he goes over the answers). Participation gives you points for his exams and the homework is pretty easy. The professor is always available to help. Easy grade, and great class content! I would definitely take the course again.
Great Professor, great lectures, explaining everything very well. Exams long but not very hard. I would take him for sure once again.
Good professor, explains well and in detail with current events to better understand. Exams are lengthy so study chapters and assignments throughly. Answers to emails and works with you if needed
He is really good at explaining and going over the chapters. Team project is really easy if you read and follow the instructions. Tests are kinda long but not hard if you study, they are online through zoom with camera on.
He goes over the lectures pretty fast but he explains in detail. For the team project he gives simple instructions, you're good if you follow them. Tests are long and through zoom with camera on, if you study they're not that hard.
To pass the class you need to attend lectures they are mandatory, but lectures are not boring and are very helpful for exams. For the exams I did have to study, in one I didn't it was noticeable. He tells you what he is looking for in assignments so you just have to follow guidelines. Besides he answers emails and he responded to me that same day.
The professor's expertise on the subject matter was evident throughout the course. His depth of knowledge and understanding enriched our learning experience, providing valuable insights and perspectives on complex topics.
Professor Katusak is very knowledgeable in the subject he teaches. Very straightforward. He explains precisely what he expects ahead of time and gives you enough time to complete assignments. Mandatory attendance. Tests are heavy, but he tells you exactly what to study. You have to study and put in the work to get an A.
Professor Katusak is very knowledgeable with real world experience. There's weekly homework on Pearson and mandatory attendance. There's a major group project and exams are heavy; he explains what he expects beforehand and what to study. Expect to put in the work and study to get an A. He is helpful if you reach out with questions.
He is very straight to the point on what he expects from us as students and is very clear on what you need to do for his class. He provides details on what you need to study for exams. An A is not impossible in the class if you put in the work. Especially, for the RA group project that will be a big portion of the final grade.
Great professor. Attendance is mandatory and is taken through daily quizzes (5 questions, 5 points). He gives answers 5 minutes before it opens! Homework is easy and all on Pearson, 1 group project 25% of your grade, material is pretty clear and he gives you good feedback if you ask to meet before assignments are due. Best for hybrid 4311 course!
Dr. Katusak is a professor who wants you to understand and succeed in the course. Easy class materials, interesting lectures with tons of personal experience. Attendance is very important, overall if you make a good effort you will ace the course! Make sure to participate in class for some extra points
Professor Katusak is very knowledgeable in what he teaches and he gives us real world examples based on his entrepreneurial experience. He breaks down topics for you during lecture in person. Class consisted of a 3 part group project throughout the semester, 4 exams, and short homeworks on pearson. Simple class if you put in the time and effort.
Overall, a good professor. Attention to his lectures and participation in class would lead to possible rewards. He gives personal experiences that makes the class more legitimate and interesting. He will do his best for you to pass but it is important for you to do your part.
Okay professor, all assignments were online and there was a good amount per week. Exams were hard and the final had 100 questions. Gives extra credit opportunities
The main part of this class is a regional analysis project, where you will look into a specific region and its potential for foreign direct investment with your group. This project holds about 50% of your grade, but it is not difficult, just time consuming. Exams are proctored, and there will be assignment throughout the week. Be prepared.
There is a group project that counts for 50% of your grade. He was very uncooperative and not understanding at all when it came to certain things regarding the group project. Exams are long but fairly easy. He has a lot of good reviews because he gives out extra credit at the end of the semester.
Doesn't reply to email, criteria changes for eery assignment without communication, blackboard has previous semesters assignments and past due dates, should NOT be allowed to teach, very unreasonable with unclear expectations
Quite possibly the most difficult professor, he is extremely unclear about expectations yet is very specific when grading. This class has taken a significant portion of my time this semester: 3 parts of a project that are worth 20% each hours of research, tests cover a lot of content each and are 100 questions that are very detailed.
Professor Katusak has a lot of experience and he is a very respectable professor. He teaches through real life experiences and is truly there to make sure you learn. If you usually don't show up to class this isn't the class for you. He values attendance. As long as you are there and do your work you will get an A.
No joke. DON'T.
The 5 star reviews are written by the professor himself. Listen to the critical reviews they are the most accurate. He was a business owner at some point but somehow cannot spell or use. proper grammar??? It especially doesn't make him a good teacher and especially not a qualified professor. 292/350
This is the worst professor ever, don't you dare to ever take this class if you want to have a life, this professor is terrible at explaining and giving instructions but he grades really hard, he only gives you one hour and fifteen minutes to do an exam of 100 questions, 100 QUESTIONS!!!
I do not recommend him; he isn't clear on what he asks to do. Literally, my gpa went down because of him, and I took his class online, but I barely passed the course. Personally, it doesn't make sense that he assigns group projects when you are taking his class asynchronously. Please don't take management with him.
This professor is very unclear with everything, he gave us the instructions to join a group and I got a zero because he didn't specify that he wanted a screenshot, and when we called him out he said that it wasn't a big percentage of our grade and it wouldn't affect us, and he didn't change the grade when it was literally his fault.
He is very does not have the best attitude, can come off as cocky. Not clear with instructions at all in class and then is tough when he grades the work. We will take away like 30 points and then just leave you a comment saying something like "too generic," when he literally didnt give you an example at all. Also he likes to talk about himself.
My friend lost her grandma unexpectedly and had to go overseas where she didn't have internet access. He told her to still work asynchronously even though the lectures are in person. I'm still in the class and I wish I dropped it too. She's traumatized but her grandma dying saved her from this class and protected her GPA. Just a warning.
He gives vague instructions then later says we need to add something he never mentioned before or mentioned passing one time. He gives us very little time for exams. Please do not take him I don't recommend, don't know how he has very good rating since he is really bad.
I second the review about the student who lost their grandma. Worst professor ever. Least qualified professor I've ever experienced.
He is the worst professor I ever had! He always want to talk about himself, he always says that he has a lot of money. Not enough time for exams, and a LOT of homework each week, plus the Regional Analysis project. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He change instructions unexpectedly, and he says that it is our fault.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!!! READ THE RECENT RATINGS I WISH I NEVER TOOK HIM
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFFESOR. He's a terrible teacher and a tough grader. I did the group project alone because my partner dropped the class, and he said my paper was well-structured. Then he gave me a bad grade, saying I missed info that wasn't in the instructions. Avoid him if you can!
WORST PROFESSOR EVER. SHOULD BE FIRED ASAP.
WARNING Do not take this professor!!!! His instructions where so unclear that almost the whole class would get extremely low grades on the projects. Critical and and full of himself. Will not stop talking about how much money he has. The idea of contacting the dean was brought up several times. Please take another professor and avoid the stress.
An excellent professor with extensive experience in business, he strives to bring out the best in each student and supports them in achieving their goals.
Great professor. One of the most knowledgeable professors I've had. He not only shared academic knowledge but also real world insights from his entrepreneurial experiences, which made the course interesting throughout the semester. Attendance is mandatory. There are weekly assignments on McgrawHill plus weekly assignments for the business plan.
Do what he says and you'll graduate, take advantage of zoom meetings and he will help you.
Professor Katusak is truly inspiring & one of the few professors with real-world experience in the subject he teaches. He holds high expectations for his students & demonstrates a high level of intelligence. He's engaging during lectures & very approachable outside of class. I even scheduled a Zoom meeting with him to get advice on my business.
Do what he says and you'll get a good grade, take advantage of zooms and you'll pass. You need to know the stuff before going in. So don't take it to relax.
Do NOT listen to any good reviews. Students wrote the reviews in front of him for extra credit to prevent failing the course, since it's near impossible to pass. Bad professor and not understanding of real business outside of the US or Mexico at all, especially considering how this is an international business class.
Yes, he is strict. He takes the work seriously and you have to put in the work. I guess you could say he actually wants you too learn. I disliked him in the beginning but realized at the end he was actually cool and pretty funny. He cancelled the final and passed us all. You had to like not show up and do the assignment to actually fail the class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, just save yourself. Read all the bad comments and you will know why. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!
I do not recommend this professor, he is a very tough grader and his instructions are very unclear, do not trust any of the good reviews i am sure he writes them, he just talks about his business and never explains anything. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!
This is the first time I've ever felt the need to leave a review, but I want future students to be aware. This professor is a meticulous grader and often provides unclear instructions for major assignments. Expect to spend extra time trying to interpret what is required. If you have the option to take another professor, I strongly recommend doing so
Good professor, but he could use some work in communicating with his students a little better. It IS an online course, so I understand. Requires a Pearson purchase to do weekly assignments. A semester group project is required, with weekly case studies in groups as well. Just turn in the work, and you'll get an easy A. Exams are 100+ questions.
Professor Katusak assigns a heavy workload, including multiple large group projects with unclear instructions and strict grading. Exams are very long and heavily timed, which can feel overwhelming. Communication by email was difficult at times. Students seeking clearer structure may want to consider another instructor.
