I currently have Dr. Kershner for BSC2086 Lab, and also had him last semester for BSC2085 Lab. He is a very smart and accomplished man who takes pride in helping his students. He makes sure everyone understands and does his best to make things clear. Short easy quizzes, and Two practical exams. He is a great teacher!

I HAVE HIM FOR BOTH LECTURE AND LAB. HE GIVES YOU THE STUDY GUIDES ONLINE, AND THEY ARE CLEAR OUTLINES OF WHAT IS ON THE TESTS. LABS ARE VERY EASY AND QUIZ AT THE END OF EACH. HIS FIRST LECTURE TEST WAS HARD,BUT THAT WAS DUE TO THE AMOUNT REQUIRED TO LEARN.WANTS YOU TO KNOW THE MATERIAL AND BE ABLE TO USE IT IN YOUR CAREER. KIND OF FAST SOMETIMES.

I have had Dr. Kershner for both A&P 1 and A&P 2 Lab and lecture. I found him to be consistently in the top 10% of Professors I have had so far. He is extremely knowledgeable, has an easy to learn style of teaching and effectively uses Powerpoints and discussion to make his points clear. I would recommend him in a minute to anyone.

Mr. Kershner is very intelligent when it comes to anatomy. he helps you learn and adapt to the material very quickly. I recommend taking him if want to learn just enough prior to going in your field

Dr. Kershner seems really intimidating at first, but really, he's actually pretty easy- especially with his grading scale. He is really intelligent and knows his stuff, but he is EXTREMELY arrogant. If you're a Christian and believe in creationism, prepare to get your toes stepped on. He will teach you anatomy without overloading you. TAKE HIM!

I have Kershner for both Lab and Lecture and love him. He is very smart and knows his stuff. doesnt teach out of the book but pulls out info from it that you need to know. drops lowest test grade and easy grading scale. definitly take him for a lab you will learn a tone!

He is organized, has great slides, really knows his stuff and makes sense out of the lessons by talking about medicine, something he is really knowledgeable about. WONDERFUL teacher. has ALOT of experience and knows what he is teaching. DONT buy the book DONT . very teacher, he's very experienced you do have to study for his test but his grading scale is very good. he made me want to come to class, he keeps it interesting.

I liked him. He knows a lot about a lot. You really have to study and know everything he talks about in class for his tests. He is clear about everything and will help you if your not understanding anything.

Dr. Kershner is extremely helpful. He lectures off the study guides he provides. He also has his own website with tools to help you if you get stuck. McGrawhill website also helps out a lot. He makes the class fun. I like his teaching style so much I am taking him for A&P 2 and possibly Microbiology! Didn't use the book much but will help if needed

Excellent professor! tests are multiple choice from study guides. Makes it fun, he is an Medical Doctor. He records his lectures so you can listen to them again or study from. You must show up to class is very entertainig. Study necessary, what a concept. Easy to get an A. I took him for microbiology also. Learned alot from the best.

He is VERY entertaining and his lectures are great however this semester he changed his policy. Tests are taken on computers, and you MUST use the book to study. He does give out his own notes but his notes DO NOT coincide with the book . He has an SI, and posts his lectures and practice quizzes online. He lectures VERY fast, no time for questions.

This man is incredible. He opened up a guy's throat in a restaurant with a steak knife to save the man's life. How can you not want to learn from the best of the best? He's the real deal; a surgeon and a great lecturer. I took him back to back summer sessions, and while it was a relentless barrage of information, its disseminated to you perfectly!

I took his online summer class. It was a lot of info, the tests are hard, especially the first one. It is hard to grasp how to prepare for his tests. They seem to not coinside entirely with the book, nor his notes? It is tough to do really well, say a B would be excellent. Good luck.

By far, the most intelligent professor I have ever had the privelege of taking. If you want an easy A, keep looking. If you want to be well prepared for what is to come and truly learn something, this should be your professor. My only wish is that he wrote the textbook. His lectures are full of useful information and very interesting. Study hard!

Do not be mistaken. This is not a easy class to be taking online. A lot of the things on the exam are not clear. Like he says in the beginning of online lectures... YOU MUST study for hours inorder to receive an A. Even then it may not be enough. The class is a mini medical school and that it definitely is as Dr K refers to it as such.

He is a brilliant teacher and makes lectures very interesting with his own personal experiences. Granted the course is very difficult, but I would recommend taking it with Dr. Kershner to get your moneys worth!

Dr. Kershner is an excellent teacher! He is very straight forward with everything. Study hard and you will do great, if not well you won't. this class requires a full time commitment and lots of study time. He caters to all learning types and is willing to meet with you to review anything you didn't understand. Over all a great teacher.

Fantastic teacher. Raises the bar as far as what should be expected in a professor. Great online lecturer. The course is difficult but you will be the most prepared for a future in a medical career having taken Kershner. Took both his API and APII courses.

The online class is very difficult, I won't be doing that again. He is a wonderful teacher though I'm sure it would of went better if the class wasn't online.

I took his A&P 1 and got an A. He is very clear, knowledgable, helpful, and nice. The subject is very hard. You need to study a lot. He is one of the good teachers in PBSC. He is also very up to date with technology. It is very helpful to listen to his classes on Blackboard after or before the classes.

This is a very difficult class. Dr. Kershner, expects a lot from his students but it is only to better prepare us for the future. You will learn more if you take it with him and will work harder.

I had heard that this course online was a bit challenging, and that is true. But if you want to learn something, I mean really learn the material, this is the best professor you will ever have. Period.

I took this microbiology course to meet the requirements for nursing school. Dr. Kershner put together a great course. He makes sense out of a difficult subject by using personal experiences from his years in medicine. I would definitely take a course with him again.

This Dr. is Brilliant, truly. When you see his list of credentials, your thoughts immediately wonder how a caliber of a professor can be at a public school. It's an honor to listen to Dr. K. explain things in such great detail yet understandable for students. You have to study, but his online course is very organized and intelligently put together.

Dr. Kershner is absolutely brilliant. Some of the students in my class complained that it was too hard and it was extremely difficult if you didn't study. He presents the material clearly and thoroughly. His tests were difficult but you can still get A's. My A's in his courses were 90 or above. I wish I had more professors like him.

This is a very hard class. Unless you are willing to study for hours everyday please do not take this class. His quizzes are good but his tests are complicated and unclear on the material you learn. Great professor and you will learn a lot of cool things. I don't recommend him if you can't study at least 4 hours a day

I took this course in 6 weeks over the summer. He is not kidding when he says study 4-6 hours per night. It was a ton of info and studying....a lot. It is possible to get an A but i have never worked so hard for a class in my life. Great teacher though, very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. Read the textbook cover to cover.

Do the reading, watch the lectures and read the notes and you will do fine. If you expect an easy "A' go elsewhere. But if you need to learn this course, this is the Professor to take.

I think Dr. Kershner is an amazing professor, very knowledgable and inspirational. He includes 1-2 1 hr, funny, interesting lectures per chapter but this is expected as if you were to attend the class in person you would sit through a 1 hr lecture regardless. A quiz for each chapter, you must read the chapter to pass the quizzes.

Dr Kershner is a very knowledgeable and great professor. His class is a lot of work and hard if you don't put in the work. He has daily writing assignments, quizzes and about 5 exams. You have to listen to his lectures online which is about an hr long but it's very interesting & breaks it down for you to understand. Just work hard, it will pay off!

Dr. Kershner knows his stuff. He makes sense out of the material in his lectures which helps with an otherwise difficult subject. His exams are comprehensive but fair. I would definitely take him again. I heard that he is giving a live, in-person classroom version of his courses this Spring. Wish I could take him again!

I learned more than I thought I could, but you have to study. No easy "A" here. If you want to learn anatomy from a surgeon, this is the course for you. Would I take him again? Absolutely!

I really enjoyed this class by far one of the most organized classes i have ever had and I sure appreciated that. Dr. Kershner provides a clear schedule, due dates are clearly stated, grades are posted on time, the professor even used features i did not even know existed on blackboard!!, I would take him for anything anytime!

Do not believe the people who say he is too hard or inaccessible, they must have been the few students who flunked. If you want to learn anatomy and really get to use it, this is the course. If you want an easy grade and learn nothing, don't take it.

Professor Kershner was a great online choice for me. The lectures can get a little lengthy but that the plus side of online you can complete when you can. Test and quizzes were easy if you read your notes and listen to lectures! Anatomy is far from easy but he has made this class doable and I'm leaving this course with so much more knowledge.

Dr. Kershner is amazing with his knowledge of anatomy and physiology. His lectures are legendary, if you pay attention and follow along with his study guide notes, you can't go wrong. Definitely would take him again!

If you are taking this class online, I would only get the Microbiology an Introduction book only. That book helps a lot and with the professor lecture. The other text book, I didn't use at all. Its a lot of information but its very interesting as well and the professor lecture is great and informative. i would definitely recommend Mr Kershner

Great online class everything balances out. This class is a little harder than his other online class but none the less. I would take again

Dr. Kershner is brilliant, and knows his stuff!! But this class is hard to pass with A or B. My quizzes are all A's, I ended up with mostly C's on tests, and tests are 70% of the total grade. The tests are timed, usually 60 questions in 60 minutes, and it is virtually impossible to read, comprehend, and think out answers in that short time.

His lectures were great, he relates everything to human medicine w/ examples. Print out the review sheets and follow along w/ video lecture. His quizzes revolve around the lectures, but the exams are difficult and do not provide enough time, you need to READ THE TEXTBOOK to do well on the exams! Funny, caring, 2 opportunities for extra credit.

Dr. Kershner is not for someone looking for an easy "A". But if you want to really learn about anatomy, this is the course to take.

If you need an A in this course, I would not recommend taking this online with him. 70% of your grade comes from 5 very difficult exams (1 min/question). Even if you ace the quizzes, assignments, and discussions (100% on all), you still need at least an 85.72 average on the exams to get exactly a 90.00 (A) overall.

I feel like some of these reviews are geared towards keeping the class open, This professor spells out the test for you. He gives you a quiz every week (online class) and the unit tests are EXACTLY derived from those questions. The way the grading is organized you automatically cannot get less than a 30 in the class so essentially its like EC.

I took Kershner for an online summer course last semester. He gives you an optional schedule geared towards helping you stay on track, but it is ultimately up to you when you get your work done. He provides lectures, study guides, and other tools to help set you up for success. It is possible to get an A!

I heard about Dr. Kershner from several classmates who had him for Anatomy and Microbiology, so I knew his course was a bit intense. But what I learned was incredible, and although you have to do the work, there is no "easy" "A", it was so worth it! He is the best! Brilliant, funny, and makes what could have been boring, awesome. Take this class!!

Well respected surgeon. He definitely knows his stuff. This is not an easy class, you have to study at least 3/hrs a day to really obtain the information he is teaching. Very sweet teacher, he does care about his students

I took Dr. Kershner for A&P2 and microbio. MCB was a better experience. Its online but he is very organized. He gives a lot of work but thats more opportunity to do well. He responds through blackboard email and gives some kind of credit for everything done in class. Do ALL assignments, discussions, quizzes, and test it could really help you out.

Straight-forward format, 2 lectures/week, each with a MC quiz. Book is not required but the quizzes are based on the book chapters. My only issue with this class was that the lectures were pre-recorded from 2011, which is almost ancient in the field of Microbiology. Still, he is a dynamic speaker and it was a fun class. Get a Quizlet subscription.

This class is amazing. Dr. Kershner's lectures went above and beyond. I love the fact that his lectures are so descriptive that you get the whole picture. But beware this class is very study intensive. I would not recommend it if you have a full schedule of heavy classes. You need time to be able to process the material. It is a great class!

MCB2010 is not an easy course. But I recommend Kershner to anyone who knows how to stay organized and work on their own. Course work was a lot about 27 quizzes, 10 assignments, 4 exams, and discussions. It may seem like a lot but everything is on Quizlet. He needs to update his lectures because they are old-school. You basically teach yourself.

I just started a class with professor Kershner and Iove it. He is very well organized which I appreciate, gives good lectures with power points, no zoom meetings. If you are good at doing your assignments on time youll be good to take this course.

Dr. Kershner is the greatest professor I have had. Would take him again. Sign up for his classes early, they fill up fast.

I took BSC2085 with a different prof and heard about Prof Kerschner. WOW what a difference. This guy knows his stuff! But make sure you do all the work, there is plenty of it, if you want a good grade.
